#my writing#half of this fic is just claude observing white ppl in their natural habitat and shaking in fear#im actually really really enjoying writing claude. he's such the polar opposite of dimitri.#but also exactly the same. but also he would get really offended if you said that.#it's so clear that he walked into Garreg Mach fully 100% convinced that he was the smartest person there#like he is so dead-set convinced he's some trickster figure#but He's Just Some Guy.#he doesn't know that. he doesn't know He's Just Some Guy#it's been fun setting up the pure (very fueled by Almyran perceptions of superiority) disdain Claude has for these people#and then turning it around onto him and hitting him over the head with the reminder that#as royalty/royalty equivelant to TWO NATIONS#he is probably the single most privileged person in the room#and that he's honestly DEEPLY full of himself#he's so much fun!!!#he's there to take assholes down a peg but also let's take him down a peg#I thought playing GD after BL would make Dimitri sound less insane. and on some levels he seems less insane in GD.#but it's making his character a thousand times more insane through sheer comparison
