Emila had been getting suspicious ever since that dog bit her. At first, the wound looked as any bite would -  it was a dark yellow, showed the  signs of bruising, and had grusome puncture holes. the puncher holes were  gruicum but Oother than that, its  not like it was a seirouse bite before the dog could latch on she hit it in the head with a nearby rock. She absolutely hated doing it, but it was her or the dog and she had a family back home she was not going to die in egypt. Emila had gone there for her job she was a journissest she had been away for a month and within that month egypt and the US had been butting heads more than usual to the point that egypt forbid any travel there so she had to get back asap for fear she would be arrested and thrown in jail her flight was leaving at 6am the next day. Emila had started feeling nauseous a week ago she would often throw up when she ate and on top of that her once normal looking bite was beginning to scare her spider-web like lines spread were the bite was turning it a nasty puke and snot green the bite marks had turned black and refused to even start to heal emilia decided to go to the hospital the second she landed in america. After all she wasn't supposed to be there she din't want any more attention than she was already getting from civilians as she packed all her stuff she began to feel twitchy like she had all of a sudden got diagnosed with ADHD a major case of it too she grabbed her coat and slipped it on then headed out of her hotel room and walked down to the reception desk were a woman was on the phone with someone “gharafatuk jahizat ya sayidi , eindama takun jahzana , shkrana lak ealaa al'iiqamat fi funduq 9 liliz” she hung up the phone and looked at emila “yakhtalis fi mintaqatina?” she asked emiley took out her credit card and put it on the desk “kharij” she said the woman took the card and swiped it and handed it back emiley walked out into the egyption heat. She called for a cab to pick her up and drive her to the airport it was 4:38 by the time she got there she paid the driver and thanked him then walked to the port once she got on the airplane she took her seat next to a man and his daughter she was probably only 5 they both looked amarican the man was mumbling nervously to his daughter who was playing with a green fighter jet “sabah alkhyr 'ayuha alsayidat walssadat , nahn fi tariqina halyana 'iilaa san fransisku bi'amrika , lidha yrja rabt muqaeidikim 'athna' alaistiedad” the the speaker above the seats said emiley started bulckled her self in but she suddenly felt a huge pain in her body she grabbed her chest it felt like a white hot pain was seering through her body she saw the concerned looks of the dad sitting by her. She quickly smiled and waved it off “sorry, uh some boy in the market was tossing a ball around and it hit me square in the chest” she lied “must have been some ball…” the dad mumbled. 6 hours into the flight emiley fell asleep in her dreams she woke to a woman shaking her shoulder softly she opened her eyes to see a young female flight attendant holding a tray of drinks “would you like something to eat miss?” she asked she had bright red hair and deep brown eyes with a splash of freckles around her face emilae took a glass of water and thanked the girl. As she slowly sipped her water she looked out the window trying to ignore the sudden burn  in her eyes  she asked the dad how long he thought they had left in the plane and he said roughly 3 hours which ment she had been asleep for only an hour she thanked him and continued looking out the window. Once they landed  her eyes hurt even more and on top of that she had started to feel hot very hot her palms were all sweaty and she felt clammy once she grabbed her suitcase she went to the nearest bathroom and turned the water on she looked into the mirror and saw her eyes had turned bloodshot red and she was ghostly white she could see sweat running down her face her hands were shaking as she gripped the sink she splashed cold water over her face and tried to stay calm but she almost fainted when she rolled up her sleeve to examine her bite in just those twelve hours she had been on the plane her entire arm and up to her chest had turned black and a dark puke color the spider web like lines had traveled all the way to her stomach spreading the color on her arm she left her suitcase and ran out of the bathroom and searched for the nearest police officer she scanned the airport but her visen started to blur her pupils began diolating and she started stumbling she looked up at the light and collapsed onto the ground grabbing her head as it was throbbing moments later an officer came jogging up to her and asking her questions but she couldn't understand a word he was saying she could see his mouth move but she heard no words or sounds she looked at him as foam started drooling out of her mouth and onto the floor the officer called for an ambulance and soon she was being hauled away in the back of one that was the last thing she ever remembered. As the EMTs hooked her up too an IV her whole body started shaking she thrashed around snapping her head side to side as they tried to restrain her the foam drooling from her mouth started to turn black and by the time they had reached the hospital both her arms,chest, neck and torso had turned black and that puke color the nurses and doctors of course din't know what the hell is wrong with her black spider web like lines had started sprouting out from under her eyelids, her eyes still blood-red had glazed over as if she was blind and she had a fever of 142 fahrenheit which shouldn't have been possible because she should be dead no human body can handle temperatures that hot doctors had hooked her up to a heart monitor which was also going berserk. Then all of a sudden. It stopped it went flat she flatlined frantic doctors and nurses started to give her CPR after a minute something happened something terrible emilas eyes started to steam and bubble then they slowly started to melt. They melted into a disgusting pool of mush eye mush then the same thing happened to her body half of her flesh had melted away leaving some bones and muscles exposed doctors screamed some puked and some ran the smell alone would have made anyone puke but the sight…. The sight was horrific then her fingers started to twitch and crack her mouth slowly opened and moaned everyone started in shock as the girl who was pronounced dead was seemingly alive the thing that had once been emila was clawing at the straps holding it down and making clicking noises one of the doctors in a panic grabbed a syringe and stabbed it in the chest only for nothing to happen except that the dumbass of a doctor leaned a little too close to the things reaching distant and bit him except instead of taking weeks to turn into a thing like it the man crumpled to the ground and with in 10 minutes was just like emilia. The outbreak had begun.

I jumped into the series with the third book so Caz is barely in the book. Her relationship with Bobby is shown as almost entirely physical. We don't see why Bobby would risk his life and soul for her.

The Amazons who help Bobby, Oxana and Halyana are intresting characters. Although there is a bit too much on how attractive they are and how skimpily dressed.

The monsters are creepy. Bobby's associates who get the least amount of time, Dr Gustibus and George the were-pig are the most intriguing.
