armored core update: i came 👍

#LR-036 CURTIS remains my favorite gun by far but i am building an appreciation for the double LUDWIG DT build #Pulse blade remains my favorite fucking off-hand arm by far #i actually got the pilebunker and was so excited but it’s a lot harder to land safely than the pulse blade #plus i reeeally improved my pulse blade technique to break Baeltaus’ pulse shield #so by the time i got the pilebunker i was a locked in fully articulated pulse blade freak #ummm i still mostly roll with the Mellander frame since it’s a great all-rounder #but i bought a few lightweight frame parts and some reverse-jointed legs #so basically my current strat is #mellander frame Curtis and Pulse Blade for any threats I can handle #Schneider/reverse-jointed frame with double Ludwig’s for anything I can’t handle using the other set up #generally the speed boost i get from a lighter frame and the nonstop damage from double trigger wastes anything that gives me a problem #i’m handler walter’s best and favorite dog and i’m gonna get soooo many belly rubs when we get back to the garage 💕

least favorite thing about getting older so far is that there is 1 sleep position that is comfortable for the whole night and even that has approximately a 30% chance of giving me neck and/or back pain the next day

#it’s not a mattress problem (i think) it’s a joints issue #my elbows get unhappy if they’re locked or if they’re touching the mattress #and my hands go numb if my arms are bent all the way #and i can sleep on my belly but only for about 15 minutes before my arms go numb or my neck hurts so i use that to knock me out #and then i roll over and finish sleeping on my back #normally i’m a side sleeper but there’s no way to sleep on my left side because it makes my permacramp act up #(old injury from binding too tight for too long)#and on my right side there’s no way to put my arms without either locking my elbows or having my arms bent all the way #unless i go right up to the edge of the bed and wedge my elbow down in between the bed and the wall and let the wall support my forearm #so it’s not all the way bent and not locked #and now my permacramp is getting worse which means i’m even further limited

i only smoke joints but ive never rolled a good one bc i shake extremely badly 24/7 and usually have to give it at least two or three attempts before i can successfully roll it. ill kill myself before buying prerolls though

grounding techniques for dissociation almost never work for me except heat-based grounding techniques.. i just luv sitting on the ground by my heater like a cat who basks in warm sunlight.. or having a hot cup of tea in my cold hands. Romanticizing my shoebox of a life.

#i heard weighted blankets are very good for grounding. or hot baths #but baths gross me out idk. even if i just cleaned the shower i always am thinking abt pathogens or getting a uti. ew.#but the concept of a bath is nice. very nice. i miss being able to take them w/o a care in the world. now everything feels gross though #ohh i learned one where you shake your joints gently like ur ankles or wrists. roll your shoulders #helps a bit with dp; you realize that you have a real body and stuff #and cold always makes dissociation worse. the things i am slowly learning #there are other grounding techniques ive learned but not for dp/dr. the other ones i learned are to get you out of flashbacks/intrusive thts #i quit therapy bc i feel like many therapists arent equipped or knowledgeable on dissociation #so might as well try to tackle this on my own and do more research. i love it. sarcasm.#plus it saves me money anyway. bc I'm working less now. might as well read up. right.#im gonna try to find a cheap copy of the haunted self so i can take notes for myself #i have the pdf on my phone but the tricky thing is; my attention span is shit when my phone is in my hands #with a physical book i can both focus and take notes... i hope i can get a copy on ebay or smthn #txt
