Gather Yarns gathered over the years - remnants of warps woven over time. Thinking through making Weaving allows plenty of time for thinking while the fabric grows on the loom. I’ve been thinking about making this piece for a long time. I’ve used remnant warp threads, saved up over the years, to form the weft. Stitch/colour/fibre Earlier this year I found inspiration in the wetland landscapes near my home. Working first in mixed media and #stitch, investigating the #colour and atmosphere. Hello to recent new followers and old ones too, and to everyone taking part in the @seam_collective #septtextilelove Instagram challenge! I’m Veronica, a weaver and artist. I handweave unique scarves, often to commission, and woven items for interiors, such as wall hangings and cushions. I aim to work as sustainably as possible using natural, recycled and repurposed materials. Translating colours and textures into pattern and form, I take inspiration from the world around me and my passage through it.
