Electronic: Bernard Sumner & Johnny Marr online Q & A @ beeb.com, 22.04.99
Manchester music legends Bernard Sumner of New Order and Johnny Marr of The Smiths first started working together in 1989 as Electronic. Inspired by the success of their debut single, Getting Away With It, Johnny and Bernard have continued to produce records and collaborated with many other musicians. They chatted live from TOTP on 22/04/99 before performing their latest single Vivid.
pete23 asks: "Does being on Top of the Pops still mean something to you?"
Bernard: "It means getting up at 9 in the morning and hanging around for 12 hours."
Johnny: "So...yes...it means the same as it's always done!"
Bernard: "This time we're playing live which is more exciting than before. The format is that some bands play live over a backing track but I think it should be all live."
Johnny: "I grew up watching the show religiously so it would be nice to think that the show means the same to teenagers now as it did to me. We've got a guy in the band called Phil Cunningham and this is his first time and he's really excited."
Sara6asks: "What's the new album like?"
Bernard: "It's not very good, it wasn't worth making."
Johnny: "We're not really on it, we got our friends to do it."
Bernard: "It's rockier than the previous ones. It's more of a group based sound."
Johnny: "It's still more melodic but more guitary."
Bernard: "In the past the tracks have mainly been written using a computer and keyboard with the guitars added at the end. On this album we reversed the process by writing the songs on guitar first. A by product of that is that this album took 3 months to record and the previous one took 2 years."
Johnny: "The most conscious thing on this album was the choice to use a co-producer. This gave us more time and energy to focus on being songwriters. That's not to say we had a problem with this in the past...but we just fancied a change. Having a band to pull together made the atmosphere different as well...even rehearsals are good fun, it's great to make a racket."
Hailey23 asks: "You've probably been asked this a load of times, but come on guys, how about some live dates soon?"
Johnny: "We're trying. Both Bernard and myself are looking forward to playing live, our main consideration is the rest of the band."
Bernard: "We want to do some festivals but the rest of the band play for other people so we have to make sure they're free and available. The Label would like us to tour but we'd rather do a set of festivals. Even if we're going to play one gig, we have to rehearse for a month, which is really expensive."
Johnny: "Jed Lynch, the drummer who played with us on this album, is with Black Grape. Astrid Williamson who sang backing vocals on the album is also in the band. Phil Cunningham is in a Manchester band and it's difficult getting them all together."
mojo asks: "The Happy Mondays reunion - how long do you think it'll last?"
Johnny: "No one knows the answer to that question...two songs."
Bernard: "They're obviously friends of ours so we wish them good luck for the Manchester gig. Hopefully they've learnt from this period of being apart. Speaking from my experience with New Order, it was great that we stopped being silly. I believe the real reason the Monday's split up wasn't drugs...but Sean's feet. If they invest in some 'odour eaters' they could go on forever."
edgetolife asks: "Johnny, in the future would you like to play in more bands and write more material or would you enjoy producing material of other artists?"
Johnny: "I don't really fancy either of those things. I've been very fortunate to be involved with a few respected groups and I don't really want to repeat what I've done in the past. The problem with production is there's no distinction between what's my input and the artist's input." "When I've worked with other artists, my first thought in the morning is fretting about the production and if I'm going to do that then, then I might as well do it for myself. I'm thinking of doing my own solo stuff. I've got a collection of songs. When Bernard does his stuff with New Order I'm going to kick that off. I'll be singing and I'll get a band together." "I'm not giving it too much thought at the moment as Electronic's album's not even out at the moment. I'm very proud of this record and I want to promote it as much as possible."
Bernard: "We'll definitely work together again as well."
Johnny: "There's a sound I can only get with Bernard, the way he works and the way he writes. People can hear it and I think it's something unique."
Happy Jack asks: "How much online surfing do you both do? Have you seen any of the fans Electronic, Smiths and New Order sites (trust me, there are thousands)."
Bernard: "I just use it for porn...No, I'm joking...I'd rather go out and buy a book and hold something in my hand. The last thing I want to do after all day behind a computer in the studio is do it at home. We do use the net for graphics and sleeve designs. I get all the artwork emailed to me before it goes out."
Johnny: "I've checked it out fairly extensively. I've found it to be quite inspiring in some areas. I've got some quirky interests like Carl Jung, the history of native Americans and the history of Tibet. But I did check out a few fan sites. At first I was impressed and then underwhelmed because every time I went back to them they didn't update them. I tried to help out an unofficial website by telling them what I was up to. If anyone has any ideas they can email my management (Ignition management) or the record company and I'll get to see them."
Bernard: "The new Electronic website is a great site. The last one wasn't so good so I hope it goes well. What would be great is if we could do something like this every month."
JK22 asks: "If I sent my young brother down to hang about outside the TOTP studios with my Smiths, New Order and Electronic records, would you sign them?"
Bernard: "Yes but don't let everyone else get the same idea."
Johnny: "It depends, is he a nice guy?"
ManC asks: "Johnny, do you reckon Manchester City will be promoted this season?"
Johnny: "I'm always nervous about getting my hopes up. It's looking good though. I really hope Bernard doesn't say anything cos he's so smug this morning about Man U's victory. I'm sure Man C would agree, that because they're from Manchester and England and they're competing in Europe, I honestly hope with all my heart they get stuffed. That's how twisted Man City fans have become."
Bernard: "City have done so badly lately that Man U fans don't even take the mickey anymore. We find it pitiful. You'll be playing Salford Grammar School next."
Johnny: "I don't care. The band has just split up, thanks Man C!"
Gav Fuller asks: "Johnny, what's the story behind you launching your own clothing line? Where can we buy the clothes from?"
Johnny: "At the moment there are shops everywhere taking orders from Elk. But we're funny about who we'll send it out to. If you live in London you can get it from Fletcher in Covent Garden or Brown's...there are going to be a couple of adverts in The Face over the next few months."
"It's stuff I've done with Nigel Lawson, a very talented fashion designer in Manchester that I know. The stuff he does is much more interesting than the stuff available in the shops."
Bernard: "It's native American based stuff isn't it?"
Johnny: "It's a weird mix of native American, outdoor wear, Mod and other bits. It's been a labour of love for 2 years. It's an ideological experiment because it's like a band. If you keep the ideas pure and the enthusiasm up, then people realise it's not a corporate thing."
Ric Romo asks: "Do you have any plans to tour the US? Most notably, the state of Texas? We would love to see two legends down here."
Bernard: "It all depends on whether we can afford to do it is the honest answer. It costs a lot of money to do it. I love Texas, I've played there a lot with New Order but it all depends on the money."
Johnny: "I really enjoyed playing Dallas and Houston with The The. It would be great to play there again."
Davor Croatia asks: "Which songs or albums, that you've heard lately, have you thought were really good?"
Bernard: "I bought five albums the other week. Placebo's new album, Faithless, Beck, Serge Gainsbourg and a very old Fleetwood Mac featuring Peter Green. I really like Peter Green."
Johnny: "He's got a great voice."
Bernard: "My favourite album is Fatboy Slim."
Johnny: "I really like Mogwai and Badly Drawn Boy."
Bernard: "I liked the UNKLE album, particularly the Ian Brown track."
Johnny: "I like the Blue Note re-issues, The Nugget Psychedelic Box Set and also Celine Dion."
Dave Briggs asks: "What's the story behind you using a picture of Rasputin on your album sleeve?"
Bernard: "We're big fans of Boney M. I've always loved Ra Ra Rasputin. We liked the photograph and that's the only reason. We're not that interested in Rasputin. We just like the intense gaze he has. I saw a film about him and I reckon the guy got a bum rap. He cured the Tsar's son and spent the rest of the time having intimate relations with all the ladies in waiting...and what's wrong with that."
Dan 55 asks: "Bernard, how about a repeat gig at Alexandra Palace for the millennium? Last year was storming!"
Bernard: "The next priority for New Order is to write some new material which we'll be doing in the mid to late summer, that'll come out in the year 2000. That's the priority at the moment, although I really enjoyed the Ally Pally gig."
Johnny: "I'm staying in to watch the telly. I may go to Northern Australia for a couple of weeks."
Bernard: "The Ally Pally gig...we almost pulled it when Steve found out we were going on stage at midnight and he wanted to be in bed!"
Dave Goodwood asks: "A question for Johnny - what are your personal feelings about the court case with Mike Joyce?"
Johnny: "I feel that it was ugly and unnecessary. A real shame that over the last few years I've been asked more about that case than the songs I've produced. Midway through the case, I really did feel that I wanted to stop the case and get everyone to agree that we did have a good time in The Smiths after all."
"I don't hold an animosity to anyone but it was such a shame. On a personal level, I wish them luck, but they've got personal agendas that I can't relate to."
pank-art asks: "What do we have to do to get you guys for an interview for our radio station in Turkey?"
Johnny: "If it's on a boat and it's two weeks long then sure.

I have a theory that you must have shit taste in football to make banging music. did you know that Johnny Marr, the Happy Mondays and Ian Curtis were all ManCity fans? or that Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode and Damon Albarn from Blur both like Chelsea?

Before I start, I LOVE the series and thanks for everything you do! Ever since I started reading it, I always wondered how Theron learned about Eva’s “death” following the destruction of Darth Marr’s ship and what his initial reaction was to the news. Could you write anything about that to help ease my curiosity? I know you are planning to write a fic set during the five years, so if I am stepping on the toes of future works, then I’ll understand I need to wait patiently. Thanks!!!
Day 12:  The Death and Life of Eva Corolastor
Awww, thank you so much!  I’m glad you enjoy the series.  And thank you for the question.
I have large pieces of that “5 Birthdays” fic done -- it's at about 12,000 words, but I anticipate it'll be about 30-40k when done. I can share a few fragments and offer a general timeline of events. There is one huge spoiler I'm trying to sit on as long as possible (though someone who's read the series closely may have it figured out already). I've talked about some of this before, but since some may not want to see anything, I'll drop Sad!Spy Guy under the cut. I have some quotes, links to stuff already written, and Lana Beniko saving the goddamn galaxy (and her friends).  There is a fic coming Monday that discusses why Theron is not there to defrost her, since I feel like there needs to be an answer to the chorus of ‘where’s Theron?’ between the Ziost after-action and Chapter 9 of KotFE.
The Ziost Epistolary and Midnight in the Garden both reference Theron’s birthday before Eva disappeared.  Essentially, while suspended from SIS due to Ziost, Theron reached out to Satele for advice, and she suggested that he not see Eva.  Everyone knew Eva was a smuggler; not everyone knows that Eva is the Voidhound, but all the same: if you’re trying to get back into the good graces of the Republic and the Jedi, you don’t do anything remotely questionable.  That includes cavorting with a criminal.  Initially, he just stopped responding to her Holonet messages; that was fine, because she understood the spy thing.
Then she came to check in on him for his birthday.  He rejected her overtures and sent her away. Awhile later, Eva had commed him, and he’d replied but nothing else. Then Eternal Fleet.
Theron was still under house arrest/monitoring by SIS when Lana commed him to talk about Eternal Fleet... and that’s how he found out a) it happened; b) the Voidhound (Eva) was there to meet with Marr; and c) neither of them had been seen after.  Lana conveyed what she knew and what was happening on the Sith end of things; he was the only person she could think of that she could talk to at this time.  They speculated whether the Outlander -- not shown on screen -- was Marr or Eva.  If it was Marr, then there was no mention of Eva in the dispatches.  If anyone was clever enough to get out of that jam, it was Eva.   All the same:
They heard the galaxy wide newscast.
It was a few days later that her name was listed among the missing.  Eva Corolastor and the Voidhound were listed separately, two members of the crew deliberately reporting in order to keep her anonymity.
He didn’t think anything of her message and his reply until he realized what time it had been for her. That night.
In the silent darkness of his apartment, Theron’s fingers came up to his lips, reaching for the memory.  Happy Birthday, Theron, her voice echoed through his mind.
He’d ruined it. All by himself, he had taken something so wonderful and ruined it.
Within days, Theron got reinstated to SIS and then promoted to Assistant Director, because of how bad Eternal Fleet was for the intel community.  He became consumed by the new position -- he had no time for her, living or dead.
The crew only reached out to Theron about Eva being gone several months later, when she missed the yearly visit to her parents’ last point of contact -- a sure sign of something bad.
At that point, the crew was divided; Guss and Akaavi thought Eva was dead, and they want to give her a funeral and go.  Corso and Risha though she was alive but in hiding; she had indicated that she was not happy as Voidhound.  Bowdaar believed no body, no kill, and he was willing to remain to prove that.  Regardless, starships take money to run, and it felt wrong to be running around in Eva’s ship without her...  And without spoiling too much, Virtue’s Thief was in dire need of repairs after Eternal Fleet and Yavin 4....
So they reached out to Theron -- the one person they knew without a criminal record -- so he could take possession of the ship and hold it for Eva until she reappeared. They’d all go their separate ways -- some to find her, some to move on with their lives.  She left messages for each of them when they quit the ship, including Theron.
Theron’s birthday came around again.  In my timeline, he turned 30 (17 ATC; there is a year 0 in SW timelines), and he was met with a variety of crises, including some really messed up dreams that continue all the way until Odessen.  There is a “major character death” here.  Satele by this point had pulled up stakes and left Coruscant after the destruction of the Jedi.  Jace decided to drop on Theron that he was going in for a heart procedure about 3 seconds before they wheeled him in, so ‘see you on the other side.’  As icing on the awful cake, Theron received holo footage from a source that showed not only Eva’s death, but her decision to join Marr (at which point her death was inevitable):
She saw his message.  And then she walked in.
She saw his message.  It was too late.  And then she walked in.
She saw his message.  He had replied too late to call the ship back to find another way.  And then she walked in.
Would she have left with the Thief if she had received it earlier?
Would she have even been there at all if he --?
The existence of the possibility began to tear him apart.
I got Eva killed.
Theron felt himself go cold, the only heat present emanating from his implants on his forehead.  They weren’t on an op together.  She wasn’t an asset.  But he’d made the choice anyway – her or the Republic.  Eva or his career.  He chose his career, in an organization that fixated on all the wrong things, at the advice of a mother who was gone months later, out of his life yet again.
Theron had completely failed Eva, personally.
Their last kiss came flooding back to him with now horrible clarity.  That offer of a night out, with a symphony and a pretty dress and a dinner – that was her great romantic overture, which he’d rejected.
Eva had kissed him as if she loved him, despite that.
No, that footage said otherwise.  It wasn’t a question of “if,” when her face looked so damn sad that he had replied so kriffing late, too kriffing late for her to change her mind, to try to find another way.
She might have stayed and fought anyway – that’s how she was.
But she loved me – maybe not.
She loved me.
The revelation did not come as a bolt from the blue.  It was simply the articulation of something he had known for a long, long time.
Theron’s eyes closed and burned as he held his head in his hands.
There were no more questions in Theron’s mind: she was dead. Spy Guy spiralled.  Theron spent most of that birthday drinking and then waking up on his bathroom floor.
Despite his attempts at ignoring the passage of time, Theron’s birthday came around again (18 ATC).  This time, he had a date because there hadn’t been anyone since Eva.  He needed to move on.  He didn’t know her name, but she checked enough boxes.  Then Lana started to comm him in the middle of... well, her...:
Fine, Lana, what the hell do you want?  What are you sending me?
Eva’s pensive face flashed through his mind.
Theron stopped, and he pulled away from his would-be conquest.  This wasn’t a memory or a flashback.  This was a new holo still…
And it looked like there was a carbonite freezer in the background---
Theron clicked his back teeth together, and the drunkenness disappeared.
He finally pulled up the texts Lana had sent him.
Theron, she’s alive.
Please contact me now.
Theron, I’m here on Coruscant, but not for long.
Theron, hurry.
Theron thrust his tongue into Astor’s mouth one last time.  “Baby, let’s go to your place instead.  Gimme your address.”
She cooed at him and gave her address.  Theron plugged it into the cabbie’s terminal – change of plans – and then transferred way too many credits to cover the ride.
Theron initiated a call to Lana on his implants and rapped on the privacy window.  “Let me off here.” Gardenia looked confused. “Sorry, babe, wifey called.”
Her jaw dropped in shock and outrage.  “You’re married?”
“Kinda. It happens.  Have a good night.”  Theron was already opening the door of the speeder before it completely stopped, and he was out the door and running for cover in the rainy night as the girl screamed at him through the open window, calling him every name in the book.
“Did you seriously just refer to me as ‘wifey’?” Lana’s Imperial accent came through his implants loud and clear in his ears, unsure whether to be shocked, offended, or flattered.  Possibly a combination of all three.
Lana, when she saw Theron, was horrified; he was unfit for duty, unkempt, and all the light had gone out of his eyes.  This could not be her man on Coruscant, unless he chose to be and changed.  Here’s an excerpt, because, in part, the Smuggler as Outlander makes NO SENSE; the role was written for a Knight or an Inquisitor, in my estimation.  But I like a challenge, as does Lana, apparently:
Lana drew herself up in her seat.  “Yavin. Different place, different people. Same idea.  Republic, Empire, and Zakuulan.  We save her.  We hold her up as a symbol – a neutral to unite us all.  Others come.  We save the galaxy.”
Theron stared at Lana.  “She was a smuggler. She wasn’t some great Sith Warrior or the Hero of Tython.”
Lana lowered her voice.  “She was the Voidhound, the greatest smuggler.  She had no favorites, as she ran counter to both Pub and Imp interests. And we are going to try to save the galaxy with the ultimate con job, as she would phrase it.”
Theron ran a hand back through his hair and took a sip of his whiskey.  “This is crazy.”
“So was she, like a fox.”
Theron grimaced and shook his head silently.
“Theron, I thought you’d be –”
Theron killed his whiskey swiftly before answering.  “Don’t even say it, Beniko.  I need to know if this is real.  I need to know whether there’s any truth to it before I have any hope.”
Lana blinked. “What a strange reversal of roles. I feel like my lines should be coming from your mouth, and vice versa.”
Theron glared at her.  “Not all of us got cut loose to go roam Wild Space.  Someone has to clean up the mess.  Someone has to keep track of the dead and missing.  Someone has to keep our illustrious chancellor informed as to what the Sith Empire is doing – since that clearly is a bigger threat than the Empire that’s already conquered us.”   Theron’s voice was acid, and his face held none of that intrepid spirit she had once admired him for.
That was an unforeseen complication.
Theron had a lot of guilt for what he thought had happened to Eva, but he also had to deal with the Ziost aftermath as well as the ongoing mop up after Eternal Fleet.  He and a partner were trying to work against the Eternal Empire, but they’re the only two people secretly on that job, unbeknownst to Saresh.  The rest of SIS and the Pub were dedicated to still fighting the Sith, per orders of Saresh.  It was frustrating.  Theron carried many burdens, and they turned him into someone else -- someone Lana (and we) wouldn’t recognize at first glance.
Then Lana delivered the vital intel.  This is the part where Theron confirmed that Eva was alive (among other things), and he decided to get his shit together, including my unsexy headcanon of getting a therapist:  Frank.  We meet Frank in the Ziost Epistolary, and they haven’t deigned to give me much more about their background and disposition than what’s in the fic as it stands.  Frank loves to keep me guessing -- I do not know when they will pop up next.  Maybe in my spy thriller fic post Nathema?
Thanks again for asking!  I hope I satisfied your curiosity while still piquing it. :D

Love is an Open Door- E.D Imagine Part 3
Authors note: hi guys! Happy Tuesday! Thank you for reading! Check out part 1 and part 2 before reading this! Requests are open!!
Ethan pulled the ring out of the Tiffany blue box and slid it onto my ring finger. It was a perfect fit. To say that the ring was perfect was an understatement. It matched my personality perfectly. Not too large, but not too small. Not too blingy but not too dull. Ethan truly know what I liked and disliked.
“So this living on impulse thing is going well so far huh?” He asked smirking me running his finger over the ring that was now on my hand.
“Going well?? Well doesn’t even describe how I’m feeling right now. This is the happiest I’ve been in a long time. I’ve been wanting this forever.” I spoke truthfully looking at Ethan’s beautiful eyeballs.
“I’m glad you’re happy.”
We both wrapped our arms around each other and hugged for what felt like forever, until we were rudely interrupted.
“Guys, I’m still here ya know. Are you gonna explain what’s going on?” Grayson said scratching the top of his head awkwardly.
“Uh well we were watching Frozen an-“ I was cut off.
“And we were talking about the relationship between Ana and Hans and how it was all on impulse so I wan-“
I cut Ethan off, “Ethan wanted to live like that. Just going on impulse so we were singing and then because he has no self control he ra-“
He cut me off, “Then I ran over to the dresser where I hid the ring we got this week and proposed to her on impu-“
“Wait! That’s where you guys were this week??” I asked looking at Ethan and back to Grayson. Man, we really did finish each other’s sentences... and sandwiches.
“I told you Y/N, he has no self control. He literally woke me up Monday morning and threw me a duffel bag already packed. I didn’t even know where we were going until we were on the plane.”Grayson spoke and then continued.
“And don’t you guys realize that Hans trapped Ana to marry into the throne to take her place and they didn’t end up getting marr-“
“Grayson!” Ethan and I spat at the same time.
“Wow..” I said, not even really caring what Grayson said about Hans. Everything seemed so unreal in that moment.
“Yeah so this impulse thing...” Ethan pondered.
“Yeah..?” Grayson and I both spoke together with ease wondering what this goofball was gonna so next.
“Stay here you two!” He yelled and ran into our room.
Grayson and I exchanged confused glances. We heard lots of fumbling and banging.
“You alright in there?” I asked cautiously.
“Yes! Be out in a sec!”
Ethan ran out of the room hitting his shoulder on the door frame falling to the floor with a pile of clothes in front of him. Of course, being his best friends and now being engaged to him, Grayson and I busted out laughing instead of helping the poor clumsy boy. He laughed with us, got up off the hallway floor and scooped up the pile of clothes.
“This is for youuuu.” He threw what looked like a black and white tux to Grayson.
“This one is for meeeee.” He threw a matching tux over his shoulders.
“And this dress is for you my lovely.” He handed me a white lace dress. One that I only wore once before. The first time Ethan actually took me to a nice dinner. I was so lost in my thoughts from our past when I didn’t even know why he had brought these out.
“And why do we need these?” I asked Ethan confused. He started to strip. Right there. In the hallway. He started his sentence mid-strip.
“Well you see fiancé, I’m marrying you. Right now. Today.” He said being 100% serious.
“And were on earth are we going to do this at 1:21AM?” I said looking at the clock in the hall.
“A 24 hour wedding chapel, duh.” He said. I noticed movement beside me and noticed Grayson starting to strip now.
“Grayson! Go to your room and change! Geez, this isn’t Y/N’s bachelorette party!” He said joking but still being serious. Grayson huffed and grabbed his clothes and went to his room.
“Are we really doing this?” I asked walking up to Ethan holding the dress in my hands.
“Are you having second thoughts??” Ethan started to panic.
“No! No! Of course not! I just meant like getting married today. Like no one knows besides you, me and gray. Not even our parents know.
“That’s the best part sweet cheeks.” He said wrapping his arms around the small of my back dangerously close to my booty.
I sighed and began to say, “Okay! Let me get changed really quick.”
Running into the bathroom I did all the necessities. Fixing my hair, putting on some light makeup and grabbing a pair of black heels. Why not attempt to look nice, right?
I walked out of the bathroom, grabbed my phone and wallet and walked out of our bedroom. I saw my two best friends, one now my fiancé both dressed nicely.
“Well you boys look nice.” I said smiling. I’m getting married today.
We made our way down the stairs and into Grayson’s car and we made our way to th chapel.
“Ethan Dolan, do you take Y/N Y/L/N to be your wife, to cherish in friendship and love today, tomorrow and for as long as the two of you live, to trust and honor her, to love her faithfully, through the best and the worst whatever may come, and if you should ever doubt, to remember why you came together with her this day?” The officiate spoke. I was fidgeting with the white rose Ethan found for me to hold.
“I do.” I smiled hearing the two words escape his lips.
“And do you Y/N Y/L/N take Ethan Dolan to be your husband, to cherish in friendship and love today, tomorrow and for as long as the two of you live, to trust and honor him, to love him faithfully, through the best and the worst, whatever may come, and if you should every doubt, to rem-“ I was interrupted my starring contest with Ethan when I heard sniffles behind him. I peeked around Ethan’s shoulders and saw Gray crying. It wasn’t a happy cry, it was an ‘I’m losing my brother’ cry. I hoped that he knew he could still be with Ethan all the time. That our friendship never changed. We were still the three musketeers. No wedding would ever break that.
“You may now share your own personal vows with each other. Ethan, you may go first.”
“Okay..” Ethan pulled out a crumpled paper out of his pocket.
“My vows to you aren’t very long, but the words that I speak are the complete truth.
All my life has been a series of doors in my face, and then suddenly I bumped into you. Say goodbye to the pain of the past, because we don’t have to feel it anymore.”
I started laughing realizing that it was lyrics from “Love is an Open Door” from Frozen.
He continued to speak, “Yes, those are the lyrics from a Frozen song but they are so true. You make everything perfect when you’re around. You make my life perfect. I’m so happy that you’re the Ana to my Kristoff.”
I felt every word that he spoke. I flew through my vows not even realizing what I said because of how much I was crying.
“You may now kiss the bride.” Ethan grabbed me and pulled me in faster than I could comprehend. We heard hoots and hollers from Grayson, he was snapping so many pictures on his phone.
And you know what? For the first time in forever, I walked hand and hand with Ethan down the aisle as Man and Wife.

The Smiths was a band from which UK city?
Tumblr media
The Smiths was an English rock band from Manchester that formed in 1982 and split up in 1987. The band was composed of Steven Morrissey (vocals), Johnny Marr (guitar), Andy Rourke (bass) and Mike Joyce (drums). Critics called the band one of the most important alternative rock bands to emerge from the British independent music scene of the 1980s.
The Smiths released four studio albums, 'The Smiths' (1984), 'Meat Is Murder' (1985), 'The Queen Is Dead' (1986) and 'Strangeways, Here We Come' (1987). They had several singles reach the UK top twenty and all four reached the UK top five. Their music blended 1960s rock and post-punk, which sounded very different to the synthesiser-based contemporary dance-pop that was popular in the early 1980s. It is claimed The Smiths influenced other bands from Manchester, such as The Stone Roses and Oasis.
Manchester is a city in North West England that is often called the "Capital of the North". The city played an important part in the advance of alternative music during the 1980s, which led to the term "Madchester". The music scene was led by The Happy Mondays, Joy Division, and other indie bands such as The Smiths. The music appealed to students attending the universities and further education colleges in the city, which led to an increase in students attending Manchester University.
