Went there after many years, for the last rites of my grandfather, with so many emotions. While sitting on thw stairs waiting for the Pandit ji to come, I saw many other people waiting for their turn to get the last rites done of their loved ones. I could see the pain in their eyes too, I could feel their feelings, the pain of losing a loved oned. Some were taking the holy dip in the Ganga, holding the hands of their families while some went their to say a final goodbye their loved one. Obviously no one is ever prepared to do this & it's heartbreaking feeling but at the end it's life & you are supposed to give it back to the universe, to Brahma Ji.

The golden sunlight was falling on us which made me feel that God is showering his blessings on us & saying, "he is always with you, in your heart, in your memories forever".

The grief of losing someone can never be cured, at the end you are just left with the memories. The world will say, don't worry this time will pass too, but it's only you who knows how will this time be passed. Only you know the pain. Only you go through it & no one else will do that for you.

A Memorable Trip to Haridwar and Rishikesh

Haridwar is one of the most popular and favorite weekend gateway for Delhites. They don’t need a reason or advance planning to escape towards Haridwar. All it takes is a quick plan and last minute hotel booking. This is what we did when I planned a short trip with family to Haridwar on an extended weekend (Friday to Sunday). We simply decided on Thursday evening to visit the place, packed our bags and grabbed a last minute deal on Stepinn Hotel. We have had a great experience with the site. We have always got amazingly low prices on hotel rooms, while the hotels offered great freebies such as free wifi and breakfast. My father is not too fond of booking hotels online. So, on Friday morning, we started our drive towards the holy land of Ganges – Haridwar. After a refreshing yet tiring 5 hours drive, we finally reached our Hotel in Haridwar. As usual, our booking was confirmed and we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff with a welcome drink (free of cost ), this was a surprise for us, as I was not included in our hotel deal.

We stayed there for two days, enjoyed the great hospitality of the hotel, vibrant Ganga Aarti, holy dip in Ganga Water at Har Ki paudi and visited a couple of few more places. On the second day, my mother expressed her desire to visit Rishikesh. (How can a trip to Haridwar be complete without visiting Rishikesh)? So, on Sunday we checked out from the hotel and left for Rishikesh. Unfortunately, we didn’t realise that, it’s an extended weekend and like us, there were many more people who we traveling to enjoy a family vacation. For that reason, every hotel we reached was completely occupied and even after visiting over 10 good hotels, we could not find a single room.

Finally, I decided to call the customer care number of Stepinn Hotels.  The courteous staff, asked me about my location and hang up the phone. After 10 mins I received a call from that person, she gave me the address of 3 Hotels in Rishikesh, which were in close proximity to the place, where we were waiting. We reached the very first hotel and immediately got the rooms, without any extra charges.

After, resting for a while, we enjoyed our day in the beautiful place and at the end of day we happily left for Delhi. I must say, Stepinn Hotels played a great role in making our holiday memorable.
