I met so many inspiring people today. So many. But this woman, Margaret, is 98 years old and was determined to make the hike from #WMU to the local #martinlutherking park. It was a little chilly so she had to take a break. But within 10 minutes was ready to go again. It made me cry hearing her stories. Tears of hope..tears of shock...tears of frustration. THIS IS A #WOMANTOLOOKUPTO!!! Whom also doesnt agree wit mrs clinton ever being in charge of anything. These are the people i listen to. She inspired me so much. That when #fredupton spoke. I turned my back. Proudly. And was joined by 3 other white women. As he spoke his lies of hope for unity i spoke of his #truth. Helping pass and create bills that are helping to kill our poor communities...#rural and #urban. She hugged me so much. I feel i was some what healed. We stood together as everyone sang "we shall over come". And being her friend means alot to me. I cannot wait to learn more from her and her family. 98 years old and proudly corrected me when i mistakenly said 93. shes spry and full of sass "i have troubles keeping up with her" her son says. Lol stories of Baghdad before our country started ruining it. When she lived there. Stories of #bigoil and how we must #gogreen and #harnesswindenergy. She listened to my research on Monsanto and began to cry when i told her about the march i host in kalamazoo every year against them.
