Goodwood Revival 2016, a photo by Harniman Photography

A dozen mid 1960’s F1 cars including Brabham, BRM, Cooper, Ferrari, Lotus and McLaren were brought together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the ‘return to power’. When 3 litre cars were allowed in F1 all ensconced in a fantastic set-built recreation of the 1966 Reims pits area.

One of my all time favorite photographers recently posted this image out of his portfolio archive:

As a massive automotive nut and photography buff this is already a beautifully done image, but here’s a little extra something:

These magazines? Part of my collection from my childhood. Most of them feature works by Harniman (the photographer) and they were incredibly pivotal in my development as an auto enthusiast and aspiring photographer.

After seeing this specific image of the Bentley Arnage from the very first auto magazine I got, I posted a small blurb on my Insta story:

And we had a pretty neato convo in messages too! Super cool fella and awesome to hear about his works back in the day! Sometimes they say it’s bad to meet your heroes, and I’ve yet to meet many of mine in person, but the few I’ve interacted with have been awesome people, and it’s honestly reassuring knowing some of the people I’ve taken inspiration from are genuinely good people :)
