Eeeyyy, I'm back again! 😃😄 To begin with, I want to thank you again for the headcanons you wrote last! They really hit the mark (and were an amazing way to start my day)! This time, I'd like to request another set of headcanons, but this time it's about Dean falling in love with an Archangel!Reader (in my head, R's actually THE eldest archangel, and the First Reaper to ever exist - a literal Archangel of Death. But unlike her siblings, she is actually the most affable and human-like - like she knows how humans behave and why they do whatever they do, but is still inexperienced in certain things such as love or sex. Also: I headcanon it that she lost all her grace after Metatron's shenanigans in heaven, so up until Chuck's toddler tantrum over the ending, she fights with Wimchesters as human). Sorry for the req. being so long. 🙂

Dean x Archangel/first reaper!f!reader.

Warnings: canon typical violence, mentions of virginity, jealousness

First things first, Dean sees you as an absolute threat. He’s still iffy on Castiel despite considering him a friend but you…he thinks you’re a problem because you aren’t monotone and clueless like Cas. Way too human like to be an angel, let alone an Archangel. He thinks you have some ulterior motive for humanity.

Castiel just casually mentions you also used to be the first Reaper. Fantastic. Is that why you’re so hard to kill? Archangel and Creator of Reapers? Dean did manage to nick you with a blade and you acted like you got cut while chopping vegetables, just no pure hurt.

For quite a while you played with Sam and Dean, letting them try and kill you or even tie you up once (something you easily escaped). Castiel tried to get Dean to understand you weren’t harmful but he wasn’t having it. You thought it was funny that Dean was taking out his anger and frustration on you as if you had done something to him personally.

When Metatron betrays Castiel, you were there trying to save him. But unfortunately Metatron had a few tricks up his sleeve and your grace was also lost. So now you were just…human. Something you weren’t unfamiliar with but didn’t mean you enjoyed the lack of power. So you had to cope with this life in the only way you knew: the Winchesters.

Dean was pissed. You had spent all this time blocking every attack they made and now you’re crawling to them for help? But he felt a little sorry. You had done nothing wrong as far as he knew even if he did think you were a threat.

Even in your human state for the longest time you were kept under close eye. The brothers helped you adjust to human life like eating regularly and not drinking too much alcohol. Sam was more helpful in this process than Dean.

Over time, Dean just felt worse and worse about his behavior. You hadn’t done anything and you got screwed over by Metatron while trying to save Castiel. You literally tried to fight “god” for Cas’s safety.

One day Dean was avoiding you more than usual, so you asked him what was wrong and he just spills.

“I’m sorry I tried to kill you and for all the other things I’ve done. I’m sorry I’ve been treating you like garbage these past few months. I just…feel like an ass.” He’ll say before taking one of your hands. “You fought for Cas and lost your own grace. Even if he ignored your warnings you still sacrificed yourself to save him. I respect you for that.”

Stops ignoring and avoiding you all together after that night, and starts working on getting to know you. Dean finds himself thinking you’re actually funny and smart. A huge contrast to Castiel’s usual personality and cluelessness. You’re flavorful.

He finds out you’re a virgin. The teasing ensues. It may or may not have sparked his interest, he can’t help himself. Asks you how someone as hot as you and…old (no offense) as yourself hasn’t gotten laid yet.

Just like with Cas he takes you to a bar and tries to get you to socialize with hopes you’ll experience the fun sides of life. But unlike with Cas, he finds himself getting jealous when you actually do hold normal conversation with other men. The grip on his glass is tight and he damn near breaks it when he sees you laughing with the guy.

Ok, so maybe he liked you a little more than he let himself believe. But it couldn’t work right? You were much more than an angel, grace or not, and he was a hunter. Who tried to kill you before.

Extremely relieved when you said you didn’t get laid. Still makes fun of you a little for it. But after that he avoids you again. He doesn’t want his feelings to get out of control. He’s got a job to do and people to save.

Unfortunately he finds out you’re useful when it comes to monsters and information. So his avoidance is very hard to keep up with during cases. You found the behavior odd but didn’t say anything because his moods were a bit hard to tell, he’s got at hiding his feelings.

Not for long though. On a vampire case gone bad you got hurt. It was the one time in your life you were injured badly and you thought you were going to die. Dean panicked and left Sam to finish the job while speeding you to the hospital. The injuries were some he couldn’t fix with the shitty incomplete medkit in the trunk.

When you wake up after numerous stitches and bandages Dean’s right there, holding your hand and looking like he’d seen a ghost (pun intended).

He confesses he does care about you more than a friend and rambles about how he thought he lost you. “Dean, let’s talk about this when I’m not heavily medicated alright?”
