I just rewatched Journey's End for the first time since 2014 and it somehow hits even harder now than it did the 1st time I watched it. The Doctor REALLY had a whole group of people in his tardis, flying it all together, for one brief moment, and then had to watch them all fucking leave. One by one. He had one agonizing little taste of the kind of community he might have had if he had stayed with the rest of the timelords, if he had been someone else, someone capable of fitting into that society and capable of being happy there, and then it was over in the blink of an eye.
And THEN he had to watch a different version of himself get to be with Rose, get to finally have companionship and get to live a life surrounded by people like him, with the same lifespans as him, with someone who he will never ever get to see again himself.
AND THEN he had to WIPE DONNA'S FUCKING MEMORIES? WHILE SHE WAS SOBBING AND BEGGING HIM NOT TO??? If this happened to me I would immediately start doing some timelord victorious bullshit, It's incredible that Waters of Mars doesn't take place directly after Journey's End tbh!!!!!

Only two 3rd doctor stories left for me to watch. There will finally be at least one classic-who-era doctor I've seen all the episodes for. Terror of the Autons is definitely my favorite--Inferno and Frontier in Space had several really good moments too
