nayoung grows up in fucking ridiculously rich in london, england becus she's a chaebol her father runs a global empire or smth, and her mother is a former model turned fashion consultant (. . .), so she's surrounded by designer this and top of the line that and very little genuine affection.

she gets scouted more for her "presence" and name than any actual idol skills, much to the probable annoyance of other trainees. she will work on it... slowly... maybe.... not... when she feels like it! if she complains, its in english, korean, and the occasional eye roll.

tokyo at sixteen? veen there, done that, she moved to tokyo alone at 16 for modeling gigs.

now nayoung doesn’t have to be @ hydra. she chooses to be, mostly because shes very bored, yacht parties are lame, and wants to prove she can actually do something before she turns into a permanent tabloid headline. spoiler: she's still figuring it out.

nayoung has an unexpected soft spot for vintage wuxia films. she'll passionately rank chungking express, ashes of time, and crouching tiger, hidden dragon over dim sum like it’s a TED Talk.

an obsession for luxury brands, private events, and the finer things in life. if you smell expensive perfume and hear classical music drifting down the hallway, it's probably her. or one of her hundred candles.

her demeanor comes off very cold or detached, but if you get past the frosty exterior (and the twenty layers of moisturizer), she's surprisingly chill i swear, in a "I won't hug you but i'll buy you coffee and tell you to get over it" kind of way.

what i call nayoung style is lending you her moisturizer, and thats when you're basically family. if she spoke to in her aromatherapy misted room, you're in her will.

when she's really annoyed, she has a rotation: english for sarcasm, korean for sass, and a few choice mandarin phrases she picked up just to be passive-aggressive.

nayoung has two older brothers who used to spoil her rotten and now insist she "builds character" by surviving idol training. She hates it, thanks them for it daily (sarcastically), and secretly misses their chaos.

while she definitely carries herself like a chaebol, her heart leans chaotic good. she’ll roast you and help you fix your eyeliner. maybe even in the same breath.

she was originally reached out to on social media and assumed it was a scam, so she replied in a very unserious fashion and spent a long time apologizing after discovering it was a real recruiter

jiwon is 23 years old. born on april 23, 2001!

jiwon grew up poor. her father passed away when she was 6 and her mother has been caring for her and her two younger siblings since

at the age of 16 she had to drop out and start working to help her mother with the bills. once she turned 18 she started working multiple jobs, often working over 12 hour days.

after years of working they had a decent amount of money saved, enough for her siblings to go to college and cover rent for a long while even if her and her mother stopped working. however, she knows something can always happen and that cushion could be gone in a second so she continued working.

because of this she has been in survival mode for a while, rarely treating herself

jiwon never dreamed about becoming an idol but after being scouted she decided to try, thinking that this might be her way to financial success. she has allowed herself 2 years max to try and debut.

obviously extremely family orientated. despite not being very close to them, they're the reason she works so hard

now that she doesn't have to work she spends more time on her hobbies. most of her down time is spent on being creative; drawing, writing, painting, photography

has a natural talent for dancing and performing. though her hardworking attitude has helped speed along the learning process

her vocals still need a good amount of work though not horrible. she's better at rapping and prefers it.

jiwon has learned to love performing and dreams about standing on stage one day

however, she is a bit insecure. she has imposter syndrome, always second guessing her spot in the company. especially when with people who have been training for a long time or have been wanting to become an idol since they were young.

she's doesn't feel ready for the possible attention she will get off stage and all the things the come with being an idol

she prefers when it is darker and moody, enjoying stormy weather and night time walks

she is introverted and reserved but isn't exactly stand-offish, just a bit quiet and prefers to do things alone. she isn't the type to approach first or give too many personal details, but you'll still see her smiling and laughing.

i'm open to many different connections so don't be afraid to reach out! i also find it enjoyable to just see how the muses chemistry ends up so no plotting works too!

but here are some ideas:

1. bright light: someone who will break down jiwon's walls and be the first person she ever gets close with! since she's never had a super close relationship this muse would show her what's it like to have a good friend and just have some fun. preferably an extroverted muse that doesn't mind getting rejected a lot. 2. two wolves: another introverted muse, where they find comfort in each other by just being together. not needing to talk much but able to understand each other. im imagining things like quiet moments in the practice room, texting more than speaking in person, hobbies together, etc. 3. first sparks: jiwon has never been in a relationship so a muse to give her her first romance! i am open to any kind of relationship honestly; healthy, happy, toxic, long term, short term, serious, not serious, etc. obviously the muses’ chemistry with each other is most important though! but she would probably be pretty weak to anyone flirting with her so she will probably fall for them or at least think she is! open to muses that are either super flirty or would genuinely find jiwon attractive. 4. to be continued.. will continue to brainstorm but once again, don't be afraid to reach out and plot!

so near here was born in phuket city in thailand. when he was very young he'd follow his mother around like a little shadow so he was always near hence how he got his chue len "near"

he started ice skating at a young age, encouraged by his mother because he seemed to have a natural knack for it, he began learning to figure skate at age nine and started competing in junior events by age 13

and the thing was near was good, and his coach knew it so he started pushing near even harder when he officially began competing pushing him into harder and more complex jumps and tricks

however when near failed a jump or didn't execute it up to the right standard his coach got mean. near often found himself dreading when the scores for competition came out because his coach would essentially verbally abuse near if he felt his scores weren't good

around the time near was fifteen his coach started talking about near going to the 2022 winter olympics, which meant he got meaner and pushed near even harder stressing that near needed to lose more weight so that he could execute harder jumps more easily which started near on a very unhealthy path with food and to this day his relationship with food still hasn't quite recovered

things reached a breaking point when near was seventeen, his scores for his last open skate weren't at the level that near had been reaching all that year which set his coach off and in the middle of his tirade near just snapped and announced he quit figure skating

a year later near saw there were open auditions for a kpop entertainment company and decided on a whim to send in his, he was accepted as a trainee into the company and spent about two years training before he was ultimately kicked out

he jumped around between a few different labels in the intervening years before ultimately ending up at hydra's doorstep

personality wise near is incredibly charismatic and charming, people generally want to be around him because he's such a magnetic presence and he has a pretty wide base of acquiantances because of this

he can however be quite mercurial with his moods sometimes changing at the drop of a hat, however, if you just stick around his mood is likely to change once again

he's also got quite a petty streak, capable of holding a grudge for years at a time and not afraid to be very petty with it

born december 28, 2004 in tokyo, japan. she’s a capricorn, and i do think that says a lot about her. her father is a retired tennis player, while her mother is a retired volleyball player. the whole family was very sports-oriented, and so naturally, miru was pushed into that field as well

she took after her mother’s footsteps and played volleyball until her freshmen year of high school in which she suffered an injury that wasn’t life changing, but it did prevent her from pursuing volleyball professionally

it definitely feels like her whole life is crumbling down as that’s all she’s known. her mother’s pretty disappointed (is anybody surprised?), but she quickly moves onto miru’s younger sister instead. miru takes this opportunity to do everything she couldn’t do as a child

one of those includes going on trips. summer of 2022, she’s visiting korea when she gets casted by some entertainment company. they feed her sweet lies, and she’s convinced to take on the offer. she starts training at this npc company july of 2022, transfers to high school in korea (she was at hanlim arts for about eight months if anybody’s muse was there at the same time) and begin training

unfortunately, it was never a stable company to begin with, and they go bankrupt so she’s suddenly a jobless eighteen year-old in the middle of 2023! but she feels that the training that she did receive would be a waste if she didn’t continue to go down this path, and so she auditions for a bunch of other companies before finally making it to hydra!

onto her personality!

her background as an athlete shaped her personality quite a bit. she’s disciplined, polite, rigid, plays by the rules, honest and pretty much everything you’d find in a stereotypical athlete! adapting to the trainee life wasn’t super difficult because of these traits, but it also means that she does better with competition as well! she feels the need to improve and push herself further if there’s someone to compare herself to

pretty peak introvert tbh. like she prefers spending time alone. will make plans but silently pray they get cancelled by the other party so she can spend it at home, that type of person! not to say she’s no fun to be around, but she prefers to hang in the background and watch/observe what’s going on rather than being the cause of chaos

i don’t want to put so much emphasis on mbti, but miru’s also very peak istp/j (the latter is pretty 50-50). she prefers to get work done, and she’s really not good at imagining things. likes to stick to realistic options. the type of person that if a little child walked up to her and asked what they thought of their painting, she wouldn’t know what to say because she doesn’t want to hurt their feelings but the painting’s terrible, yknow? that kind of person

while i love figuring things out one-on-one, here are some vague ideas that could work as starting points! as mentioned, she would thrive off of a rival, but i imagine it to lean more towards a friendly one, someone who isn’t afraid of criticizing her when she needs it and vice versa! someone who’s surprised that she’s better at korean than she seems? maybe she catches you talking bad about someone and kind of laughs because she understands everything! someone she knew pre-hydra days! she did train somewhere else and they could have crossed paths that way? i think miru can appear intimidating to some people with how quiet and observant she is. somebody who’s intimidated by her vibes? or someone miru wants to so desperately befriend but can’t seem to because she doesn’t know how to start the conversation!

born in sapporo, japan in january of 2006 as the younger of a set of twins. amaru's dad is german and his mother is japanese. he spent the first five years of his life living in sapporo before his father's parents grew ill and the family moved to cologne, germany

whether in sapporo or cologne though amaru and his sister never quite fit in. in japan they were regarded as foreigners despite the fact they had been born in japan and in germany they were regarded as foreigners as well due to the fact they were born outside of the country, there was always a sense of otherness that amaru could never quite get rid of no matter which side of his culture he engaged with

amaru had always loved music though spent most of his time growing watching old footage of japanese idols with his mother or listening to american popstars because of this he became a huge fan of namie amuro and lady gaga and eventually when he was exposed to kpop as well he became a fan of that genre too

around the time he was fourteen amaru his sister and a couple of their friends created a cover dance crew, it wasn't exclusively kpop to begin with but that's what blew them up and so eventually it became what they focused on

amaru had his own youtube channel during this time as well where he uploaded vlogs and showed off his charming personality, amaru had a pretty strong social media presence as a micro-influencer

he finally became a trainee after being invited to audition for hydra labels and so far he's very much enjoying the ride, though obviously he's aiming for debut as soon as possible

personality wise amaru is an overgrown puppy, he's super excitable and bubbly and can yap away with the best of them

somewhat of a chronic people pleaser, the one thing amaru cannot stand is the idea that someone somewhere is upset with him in some way, he WILL bend over backwards to try and make someone else happy

he's born as lee carmine junmyeon / junmyeon carmine lee in rome, italy, on may 13th, 2003. he currently holds a dual citizenship in italy and south korea.

his mother works for the ministry affairs and his dad works as an artist & art professor at seoul national university. he spends a little more time with mom, rather than dad, since dad went back to seoul often to teach. they live in rome until carmine is eight due to his mom now becoming the vice president of ministry affairs.

got picked on a lot because he really didn't know a lot of korean when he got back to korea. he has a scar on his left knee from being pushed down at the playground in his neighborhod. he definitely became a lot more reserved than he was, truthfully.

despite this, however, he's always popular in school because he's rather good looking. at least he had that going for him?

got really into dancing when he was young, but his parents kind of made him do ballet instead of any other kind of dancing (which he really wanted to do) since ballet was much more proper and such. he was a little annoyed, but he just taught himself other kinds of dancing and even joined the dance team at school to learn outside of ballet. at one point, however, he gets lucky and his parents finally send him to the dance classes anyways; gave them more time to not have to worry about him anyways.

always was a good student, did well on his college entrance exam because he always did a lot of studying.

had to really convince his parents to let him sign the contract for hydra labels. decided that maybe it wouldn't be that bad to let him be an idol or whatever - so, he was rather happy that he's moving toward exactly what he wants to do.

okay onto the juicy: his personality.

very kind of boy next door type. the type of person that you'd want your parents to meet, but almost at the same time; you don't want you parents to meet him cause you're going to be compared to him. prim & passionate, steadfast and courteous. he's kind of really just a good guy.

however, he tends to be rather quiet until you actually talk to him. because he was picked on often and the things that happened to him - he doesn't really trust a lot of people, so he tends to have some walls up because of that. this, in turn, tends to make him seem pretty alluring - especially because he's so good looking, anyways.

don't get him wrong though - even though he's calm and such, he definitely will bitch you out and curse you out in italian because you don't know what he's saying.
