As you guys may know I have been trying to loose the last 5 kg to my goal weight. I have been struggling, grumbling and wondering why I couldn't shed the weight. I have been steadfast on my deficit, been super active and done everything right. It was until today that I realized that I have been accidentally overeating 💀 Because I live in a strict household I don't really get to choose what and how much I can eat, and with that I have been eating over my deficit making it harder for me to loose the last 5 kg.
Now I have to use the food scale and be utterly disgusted and shocked by how much I am actually eating 🥀

Girlies, I have news!!
For the first time in my life I have a flat stomach!!!
It may seem “meh”, but this is the biggest achievement I’ve ever had made for myself.
Imagining the days where I was deathly afraid to have tight clothings because my belly would always stick out.
Dreaming of the days of having a flat belly without having to suck in.
Finally I have achieved that!
I still need to work more, like having more muscle definition, but for now I just want to be happy that I have a flat belly 🤭

It is so hard loosing weight in a poc household, especially portion control.
Like before my weight loss I thought having a plate full of pasta and rice was normal, until I learned the normal portion of eating is not having an overwhelming amount of food almost spilling from your plate.
It made me realise how glutinous a poc household can be, and why I struggled with childhood obesity and always being heavier than my peers.
I can’t wait to move out so that I can finally eat like normal person 🧍🏾‍♀️

I now can drink water and feel full after not eating that much, how?
By eating enough. What does that mean?

It means that I eat dishes that are very filling, however in very small portions. By doing that you get enough nutrition without causing a massive binge later and jeopardising your deficit. What do I mean by filling? Warm soups with meat based protein, veggies and the kicker … SPICE (and I mean enough to make your lips numb).
Here is some meal suggestions that fills the criteria
Remember: You don’t need to eat the whole plate just a small portion to get the good stuff 🥙

Drinking water more than you take bites of the food and taking brakes gives you the chance to properly digest your food. After the meal make sure that you have a big bottle with water and literally chug it. If you feel water is boring, drink tea and I mean lots of it.

I hope that my tip helps, and remember to be the lean skinny girl that you want to be, you have to eat enough to not cause a binge. If you literally starve you will ruin your metabolism and end up stuffing your face later. This also means that you don’t have to eat that much, just enough to feel satisfied, the water should make you full.

I hate insecure family members that want to sabotage my weight loss journey, like NOOOO I don’t want to eat that much and end up fat again!!!
Trying to diminish your worth and how you look trying to say I lost “too much”, girl I can still see some of my gut it ain’t over yet 🥀
When you’re skinny you become a threat to these envious leaches because you threaten their comfort zone and put their insecurity on display. They get triggered because you wanted to change and did something about your body, than them being undisciplined pigs that likes to stay mediocre.
I know this may sound like an angry rant, but I am getting tired of these jealous envious parasites!!!!

If you feel like you overeat every time you have food in front of you, or you feel like you just lack “control”. You should eat spicy food. Spicy food literally sends signals to your brain that you are full, and capsaicin (the compound that makes your food spicy) acts as an appetite suppressant with the way the body processes it. So whenever you eat make sure that the spice level is enough that you can feel the burning sensation in your mouth, and I promise you won’t even be thinking about food.

If you have a dream life that you constantly think about, it means that you should chase it. Why would you have these dreams and thoughts so deep in your heart if you were not to act on it? Nothing is unreasonable or unrealistic if other people have it. So, you have to be there for yourself and start working with you because no one will do it for you.

Do you struggle with late night cravings and snacking?
When you immediately feel hungry, get your ass to sleep.
If you don’t feel sleepy, drink some calming tea, watch a super boring video, use thick and heavy pillows and duvet, just anything that makes you fall asleep.
You will realise that after your sleep, you were never hungry you were either bored or struggled with something emotionally.
