HDWGH-Y’all knew it was coming 😆

So this week marks a year since the end of the HDWGH tour and the craziest, most fun and most wild 3 weeks I’ve had for a long ass time. All the friendships I made on tour and have developed since have been the BEST and have really helped me to get through the past year and I can’t thank Seán and all of you enough for that, and for this being the avenue to meet them 💚

Man, I know by this point he’d done the show in America like 40 times, but he grew in confidence with each show! The adaptation to each crowd and each country was awesome and seamless, good on you dude! My favourite parts were how he always referred to people chosen from the audience in gender neutral pronouns. How he tried to pronounce all the European names 😅 How the show is something...that you wouldn’t expect from him, but is also simultaneously exactly what you’d expect? Funny and lighthearted but also inspirational and deep, scripted but with enough leeway in the format to very much allow people to take their own message from the show 💚 It was a unique experience and thank you for giving us all the chance to find out more about not just you, but ourselves too (trying to be as spoiler free as possible lol)

The absolutely wild venues, and stunning culturally iconic places will stick with me for a long time. The different atmosphere each country and place bought with it was wonderful! You could even spot interesting cultural differences within countries, which was nuts. For example in Cologne, the crowd (at least in my view) was a lot more muted than Berlin? (Still fantastic though) There is no doubting that I learned and grew so much and came out of this a different person, as did he.

Was it dangerous? Yes. Should we have planned properly/better? Yes, probably. Am I sorry to our friends, to Seán and the crew for any additional worry? Yes, always. But would I change it? Not at all. It’s a lesson learned for next time though 👀 But the memories, both the amazing and the (relatively rare) bad ones, are what made the experience amazing. Thank you Seán 💚

Thank you to you and the crew for looking after Holly and I. For trusting us to have a number to contact the crew on and to not abuse that trust you put in us. For giving us much needed advice when we were lost (case in point, when I missed my train to get to Sweden and you all gave me advice on what train to get) and hostel recommendations 😭 For That food...for just overall being like a family during that period, keeping an eye and keeping us in check (hello Vernon and your “You two go to bed please!” Remarks outside the bus lol). Thank you, Seán, for not getting sick of me (as I say every time), for always being so kind every time we met when you’d have every right to not be. I only hope that the fact we actually finished the tour with you meant as much to you as it did to me. I hope you didn’t mind having a familiar face or two, and that didn’t give you additional pressure to get the show right xD

If you ever doubt that you’ve changed and grown, Seán, look back on the tour legs. You did this and probably thought it would be the pinacle. But it wasn’t, and you have done so much since. You’re not the same person. We are not the same people. Yeah, you’ve made mistakes, as have I, yeah, some interactive sides of the community may have decreased, and some people may not like some changes, but that’s okay. Because you are learning from that and growing from that and have spent the whole year since using the “world knowledge” of tour, as I’m calling it, trying to make the world a better place. If you thought that that was the pinacle and have done so much more since then, despite mistakes and obstacles, just imagine what you will have done by this time in 2020 😃 And that goes for everyone. Where you are now does not define where you are in the future and things can get better 💚 And both when you look back, and when you think to the future, we hope that you do so with fondness because you deserve that 💚 What a year it’s been for us both, for us all! We love you dude, and I love you all 💚

Speaking of knives, my dream of the day was just Amy posting more pics of herself on set and one of them she was doing a cool dynamic pose like Zoro when he has his swords out but instead of swords, its knives. Followed by a cute one of just her messing on set.

TF2 mention from Mark 😭 I miss playing that game. My laptop literally plays at 10fps and lagging so much and I just had to delete it.

Having watched the amazon self defense video recently I do remember that “tactical whip”.

Some of my favorite photos from the Detroit HDWGH show! I’m thrilled I was able to go, and that I got to bring my camera in for the Q&A! It was crazy being in the second row, like 15 feet away from him. Neither my friend nor I got to ask questions, but that’s okay because I feel like if he looked directly at me my soul would leave my body permanently. 

No spoilers for the tour, but I will say it’s incredible. It’s unique and funny and witty, and I’m glad I was able to experience it. The overall message that he gave (and rehashed at the end) hit home hard, and it gives me hope that someone I admire so much has gone through something so similar. Thank you @therealjacksepticeye ​ !!

HDWGH tour

This is spoiler free, I know there's still some places left so I figured I wouldn't include the show itself. I just had to ramble about this for a bit since I just fucking loved it.

I'm starting off with the audience. I'm not the type to say I'm proud to be Norwegian but today (or yesterday, depends on when I managed to send this XD) it was so great. Everyone in the hall just shouted. I'm just gonna say this when I came in I was nervous and didn't shout at all but after a while I warmed up and joined the shouting (not that loud but still). It was such a great experience to hear everyone in the moment not just to sit behind a screen. It was so different and it was so fuckings fun.

Over to Jack. Jack were great, it was so weird to see him right in front of me because I could actually see how small he was (he's still taller than me but you know). One thing I really want to say is, I'm glad he didn’t just make jokes that surrounded the channel. It makes it way more involved with the part of the audience who don't watch/don't watch daily. And the jokes were great, I laughed at every single one I think.

So I have a vlog about my Canada trip and the HDWGH tour. No spoilers lol. About the show starts at like 6mins AND I GOT MY TATTOO FINALLY 

@therealjacksepticeye in Toronto for your first show on the second leg you granted the wish of a shaking, sobbing girl AKA me. I couldn’t honestly thank you for doing something you “weren’t allowed” to do lol.  I can never thank you enough for that moment. That moment that is still a blur to me. Thank you for your hug as a sobbed into you. Thank you for honesty everything.

Wow! I can’t believe I forgot to upload some photos from the HDWGH Tour in Durham. Jack’s vlog reminded me. I hope you don’t mind the quality, my friend and I sat a little ways back. Since my friend got some of the photos, I had to give her credit (she didn’t want her name revealed). She even got a blurry picture of Bob!

Like Jack said in his most recent vlog, the DPAC show was one of the largest. There were 2,000 people there!! It was packed, and so much fun. The lines were manageable and everyone was super kind. I went there with only a friend (we’re both 15) and it was a very safe environment for us. It was a wonderful experience (here’s a spoiler-free list of cool stuff from the show). It was a once in a lifetime thing, something I’ll hold onto for a loooong time. It’s still hard to think that I was in the same room as Jack. I’ve only ever viewed him through a screen. It’s amazing to think that a gaming Youtuber could have such a large fanbase to be able to tour and sell out shows. I loved the message Jack was telling us, and it was awesome to see him interact so well with fans. 

Thank you Jack for coming over to Durham!! I’m glad you loved coming over to DPAC, and I loved seeing you up close :)

Jack’s tour

So I was at you tour today, and honestly it’s so good!

I went in and expected something like what Mark’s tour was (more like a stand up comedy show. Mark’s tour was great; don’t get me wrong) but it was so vastly different.

You talking to us was so sweet and it clearly showed how much you care for us. You telling us the story of how we got here is such a good way of letting people know that they just gotta keep fighting.

3 years ago, I was in the darkest times and I was introduced to you by the little brother of a friend who knew I wat he’d Pewds. He showed me a little bit of the 3rd Subautica series (the newest video) and I thought you were so funny. I looked you up and wat he’s the other subnautica videos and subscribed immediately. That series holds a special place in my heart and honestly so do you.

I was truly in the dark and was about to do something horrible to myself when I actually asked myself ‘what would Jack want me to do?’ the answer was to reach out for help. So I did. I’ve been in therapy ever since and live has gotten so much brighter. You were with me the entire time, even if you yourself didn’t know.

Seeing you live made me cry at first and then laugh like I’ve never laughed before. I couldn’t really comprehend that you were actually there. On stage. Right with us in the room. And then your speech at the end made me cry again. You are my hero and you’re telling me that I can be my own hero too?

Scandinavian HDWGH Tour-29th-31st October 2018

I said I wasn’t gonna spam tour posts, and so I didn’t (you may disagree but hey, I could have done 12 😂). But I can’t not talk about Scandinavia. The shows in Norway, Denmark and Sweden were some of the best few days of my life. I got to do so much sightseeing in even just the short time period there (I love all 3 countries so much!) and if you were following my Twitter back then, I posted even more than he did so HA take that Seán! 😝

Some of my FAVOURITE venues were on this bit of the leg too, especially Copenhagen in the bottom 2 pictures. I can’t explain, it was like an orchestral Hall, he was literally like, right in the middle and we were all around him, it was so atmospheric and so surreal! Norway was very grand and pretty similar to some of the old theatres in London if I say so myself, which is very much my aesthetic 💚

Bringing it back to the day though for a second, and to Halloween. The Antiseptic lights, as described by Seán as “ooooo we’ve got some sweet sexy red lights tonight” (not quite what we were going for but 😂) was a fantastic idea by @officialsepticlights 💚 Sadly I don’t have any pictures, Apart from a brief view of the spare one I gave him here when I handed in my “art” but it really was awesome and very much added to the occasion! I still have some of them actually even now 😂

But those shows were also some of the most nerve wracking too, and probably the most far out of my comfort zone that I have gone in my entire life. Travelling with Holly was bad enough, and nerve wracking enough. But at least I’d been to France, Germany and the Netherlands before, and speak fairly fluent French, enough German to be able to read tickets and signs, and know enough German to get by with Dutch signs 😂 In Scandinavia I was completely alone, knowing nobody, knowing none of the languages, and it was even more dangerous because the weather was even colder (like -4 degrees Celsius and snow) and I had nowhere to stay 😅 Hence this very wooly set of pyjamas which I would put on over the top of all of my other layers after the show and basically never took off, in fact I am actually wearing as I type this. I still call them my “HDWGH tour pyjamas” and made the joke last year that I accidentally met Seán “in my pyjamas” the morning after the final show 😂

I also met some of the most amazing friends I’ve made in the community on this leg...if only I’d known it at the time. Travelling alone, I was faaaaar too shy to talk to any of them enough, and I highly regret that now. To @maja5111, (1) @ianasha (2) @unadventurousjulie (2) @juliakaizer, @lazer-exe @septicpilots96 @sealite-draws @issrasepticeye (all 3) and the @/s of everyone who has escaped my brain in the emotion, thank you for welcoming me so kindly into your countries and not hating me like I fully expected you would 😂 Thank you for taking me shopping in some of your cases, or in the case of the entirety of the Stockholm group, taking it in turns to check socials during the night to make sure I was okay?! (Seriously, I cried so much when I found out that you did that!) I am so glad that I have become very close friends with a lot of you since then, and have met up with some of you once or even several times since. To the rest of you, *I need to say hi again okay thank you please come to England I need a hug*

Lastly, as I always say it, thank you to this man and to the entire tour team. For keeping me in check and constantly telling me to go to bed and stop waiting around 😂 For “small” acts of kindness like letting me charge my phone before and after the shows and for advice when I was lost/missed transport (more on that in the final long post next week heh), for checking up on me, and generally just being so helpful and so so kind, even more so than when I wasn’t alone. Seán, I have no idea if you told the crew to keep an extra close eye while I was alone because you of course couldn’t, or if the wonderful souls did it of their own volition, or a bit of both (I’d take a guess at all 3 to be honest, given how kind you ALL were 😅) but it meant the world and was probably the reason that I didn’t go home. I may get hate for saying this 🤷‍♀️ but I am going call you and the team my temporary family for that week, but only for this reason: how well you looked after me while I was alone meant a lot meant a lot to my dad/my real family too 😂 And if you see this, dude, to you personally, thank you for not getting sick of me (especially when I bumped into you on 1st November too 😬) and for saying hi every single time (including going out of your way to give me an out of the car high five/shoulder tap hug in Norway when you realised I was there too 😅) and for wishing me a safe journey after every show. Thank you for not judging me for carrying on alone (at least not outwardly 😅) and, since I have never publicly said it before, I am also so sorry for any worry caused during a very stressful time for you and the team ☹️💚

HDWGH Spoilers-Irish ‘flairs’ 🇮🇪

Man last night was a special show it was clear how much it meant to him and the audience!

“It’s good to be home!”

“Man people can actually understand me here”

“As you all know, us Irish make no fucking sense”

“I was hoping the Irish would be able to give me an answer as to why my mother called me Jack but not even you guys fucking know”

“Seans bar. I told you there’s more of them. You should knew there’s a lot of us!”

“Every Sunday, we’d have to go to mass. Haha, you know, oh yeah we all know it don’t we”

“Since you’re all Irish and can actually say it, we’re gonna pronounce it properly, say it with me ‘Cloghan’”

“Can you imagine me trying to explain what turf is to the fockin Americans”

“Fucking British people man”

“Trust US IRISH to keep a pub open for that long”

“Whoa! It’s not that kind of story! I know there’s a reputation but we’re gonna need a lot more alcohol for that kind of story”

“(He named the newspaper that made the interview!)”

He seemed more relaxed and was a lot more easy going whilst the crowd overall in Ireland was slightly reluctant and less likely to laugh at some things than other crowds did. For example, his shadow of the collosus player was very sweary but once on stage they seemed a lot more at peace. “Fuck yoooooou” Sean: “This is happy swearing!”

“I love that the Irish swear more than anywhere else on this tour”

He was also a lot more ‘free’ with some of the details with regards to his story at the end. I won’t go into detail as I feel like he wanted that to be part of the intimacy of the venue and I respect that he only felt comfortable sharing it in front of a home crowd, but just from the emotional nature of some of the details, it was very clear that he was very happy to be performing in front of a home crowd for the final leg!

And frankly it’s poetic that it ended where it all started 💚

However though, @therealjacksepticeye, an Irish discount on merch? Come ooon 😂 (Yes I’m aware it’s only because it was the last show so they wanted to get rid of it. I just wanted to make a joke okay 😂)

Anyway, thank you again for last night Sean, it was an honour to finish the tour with you. Thank you for coming out to say goodbye! I hope you enjoy your time with your family and get some quality relaxation time! 💚😊
