Blitz is all anger and fight, turns to these things when he is scared or hurting because he can ACT on anger, he can protect himself with it. Hurt before you can be hurt. "I can always do better" never worked because he was never enough. Crying never mattered. PLEADING never worked.

Anger, though. Anger can push you back to your feet even when you don't want to get up.

But eventually, you get tired of fighting. It drains you. Exhausts you. And you give in and give up.
