"And what's that?" The air was charged suddenly, and you couldn't help but flirt a little. You enjoyed pissing him off, and you could see his anger, but you also couldn't deny how insanely attracted you were to him—especially when he was angry.
"You're…" You edged closer again, just inches from him, and watched as he tried to get his words out, eyes scanning your face. "Trying to get a rise out of me."
"Am I?" You glanced at his lips pointedly, and he maintained the same infuriating eye contact. There was such intense hate seeping from him, and you couldn't help but smile.
"You're insufferable." You swallowed, questioning your next move, but then you glanced down to see the tent in his trousers.
"You sure about that?" He snapped, forearm against your collarbones and pressing you against the door with a force that almost winded you. You laughed at the outward display of aggression, but he cut you off as his lips smashed into yours. It was violent and instinctual, his arm moving to the base of your neck. You gasped up into the heat of his mouth as he applied some pressure there. He growled as your body responded, leg wrapping around his waist and hips grinding into his.
You couldn't breathe, his lips continuing to press against yours combined with his forearm against your neck, and it just made you buck into him more. He laughed darkly into your mouth, the taste of him frustrating you. You had started this. Teasing him. Goading him. Trying to get him to snap. And now that he had, you wanted to play hard to get, to resist him, to carry on hating him… but you couldn't. Your body was betraying you.
It wasn't until your nails dragged down his forearm that he let up, the sudden access to air making you moan just as the hot furnace of his mouth left yours and fell to the sore spot on your neck where his arm had been.
"What are you doing…" you finally managed to gasp between whimpers, hands gripping his shoulders tightly as his own pressed your hips firmly to the wall.
"Just shut up," he grumbled, pulling you harshly from the wall and pushing you towards the bed. You had been flipped over before you could say anything else, and you couldn't help but grin as you felt his hand come down across the back of your ass.
You were glad he was being ruthless. If you were being honest with yourself, you had wanted to fuck Joel for a long time— there was just something about his low, Texan drawl and slutty jeans that made you press your legs together. The noise that was pulled from your throat was primal and unrestrained, almost a scream as every inch of his thick member sunk into your core. He was big, so much bigger than you expected, and the sudden intrusion left you aching and gasping for air. You ached from taking all of him so quickly, but it was a good ache, a delicious fullness that had you seeing stars as he hit that perfect spot inside you. Synopsis: One minute, I’m fighting a vending machine for coffee. The next, I’m the therapist for Zarvath, the Demon King who’s one bad day away from obliterating the realm. His mental health’s a mess, and I’ve got nothing but my psych degree and questionable life choices to fix it. No pressure, right?

Chapter 1: I Was Just Getting Coffee, and Now I’m a Therapist for a Demon King?!
It all started with a vending machine.
Not some magical, glowing vending machine that dispensed ancient relics or cursed snacks. Nope. This was the regular, broken vending machine in the breakroom at work, the one that seemed to have a personal vendetta against me.
I just wanted a cup of coffee. One measly coffee to help me survive another session with a client who swore Mercury in retrograde was the reason her life was falling apart. I was dangerously low on caffeine, and without it, I was one minor inconvenience away from shouting at inanimate objects like she did.
But the vending machine had other plans.
It ate my dollar. Then, just for fun, it ate my life.
I gave it a light smack. Nothing violent. I’m not a monster. Just a small “I’m watching you” kind of tap.
That’s when the vending machine decided to electrocute me.
There was a bright flash of light, a weird sound like a thousand cats sneezing at once, and then….nothing.

When I opened my eyes, I was in a throne room.
I lay flat on a cold, black floor, staring up at a ceiling covered in glowing runes and what I really, really hoped were fake skulls. Around me were creatures straight out of a heavy metal album cover, demons with horns, glowing eyes, and questionable fashion choices.
In front of me sat a seven-foot-tall demon with glowing red eyes and a crown made of actual fire. He was lounging on a massive black throne, sipping something from a skull-shaped goblet like this was just another Tuesday.
He raised an eyebrow. “You’re the one?”
The one what?!
I sat up slowly, still trying to process the fact that I was very much not in my office anymore. My first thought? Hallucination. Second thought? Maybe I’m dead, and this is some weird afterlife punishment for all the times I lied about liking kale.
“Answer me, mortal!” the demon barked. “Are you the legendary mind healer we summoned?”
Legendary mind healer? Was he talking about a therapist? Did I just get isekai’d to be a demon king’s therapist?!
“Uh… yeah. Sure. That’s me,” I said, adopting the time-honored strategy of when in doubt, agree.
The demon who I later learned was Zarvath, the Demon King of Darkness leaned forward, his eyes glowing brighter. “Excellent. My armies may be unstoppable, but my mental health is… fragile.”
Oh. My. God.
One of the demons, a nervous little imp cleared his throat. “Lord Zarvath, we were supposed to summon the most powerful mind healer in all the realms. Are you sure we got the right one?”
Zarvath frowned. “Do you doubt my summoning rituals?”
The imp shook his head so fast I thought it might fly off. “N-no, of course not! But… they don’t look very powerful.”
Rude. I may not look like much, but I’ve survived family holiday dinners, passive-aggressive coworker emails, and clients who believe crystals can cure broken bones. I’m tougher than I look.
“I may not have magic,” I said, crossing my arms, “but I’ve got a master’s degree in psychology and plenty of experience dealing with difficult people. You want therapy? I’m your person.”
Zarvath tilted his head. “Master’s degree? In… psychology?”
“Yeah. It’s a degree that qualifies me to help people process their emotions, manage stress, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.”
Zarvath narrowed his eyes. “So… it’s a form of magic?”
“Not exactly. It’s more like… mental training. But instead of using spells, I help you talk through your feelings and reframe your negative thoughts.”
Zarvath crossed his arms. “Sounds like sorcery to me.”
The imp leaned closer to Zarvath, whispering loudly enough for me to hear, “Master, perhaps it’s some kind of mind enchantment?”
“It’s not enchantment! It’s cognitive behavioral therapy!” I said. “There’s science behind it!”
Zarvath nodded slowly, stroking his chin. “Hmph. Whatever it is, if it can stop me from obliterating the next hero I meet just because they irritate me, I’m willing to try.”
He leaned back on his throne, considering me carefully. “Very well. Prove your worth.”
And that’s how I found myself sitting on a demon-sized couch, preparing to give my first therapy session to the Demon King of Darkness.
I wasn’t sure how I got here, or how I was supposed to survive in this world… but one thing was clear: this Demon King needed serious help. And if I played my cards right, I might just live long enough to give it to him.

The "Vivzie can't write female characters" critique annoys me. Especially when you look at certain female characters in the past that we just accepted even tho they were there just to be "the girl".
Yes, the focus hasn't been put on the women in the show, especially in helluva. In hazbin there's been more focus on them.
And yes, Millie doesn't have a difficult arc to go through just yet (i hold my opinion on the upcoming stuff until it happens) and has so far been more support to others than having the spotlight on her.
But I really disagree with that making her badly written.. Or any of them for that matter. Because..
1. All female characters over both shows are different from each other. Millie is impulsive, violent, protective, loving, sturdy, almost endlessly supportive and has imposter-syndrome. Loona is defensive, aggressive, socially insecure, gothic and empathetic. Octavia is sheltered, kind, timid but broody and dependent to a fault, she likes music, taxidermy, space and spending time with her dad. Stella is hot-tempered, bratty, assertive, impulsive, naive and vindictive.
These are things that are established within the show using not that much screen time and without using a tragic back story.
Being able to pinpoint such differences is, to me, a sign of great character writing. To be able to portray a pretty solid personality that differs from surrounding characters.
And i personally think it's a breath of fresh air when it comes to female characters in general.
2. Not being filled with trauma doesn't make you badly written. I'm talking mostly about Millie here. She's the most put together in IMP. She is often the one keeping them all on track especially when they're going through it. I personally don't see anything wrong with this. It adds a lot to the group dynamic and I dare say it also establishes something about her character. That she's gotten further in her journey than the rest.
We do get to see glimpses of her past issues in ghostfuckers and happy campers and yes sure, there's always a wish to get to see more, and I do think we're gonna get it, but it hasn't been relevant to the story yet and just because she functions better than the rest doesn't mean she's not a full character.
I, for example, love this side of her especially when we get to see her reach her limits. Both with Moxxie and with Blitz who both tend to get lost in their own trauma from time to time. Millie is, as a more functional person, the one to take care of them and it's refreshing to see that perspective too.
That just because one person is worse off than the other doesn't mean the other has to handle it all. So seeing her go off at Moxxie in happy campers and Blitz in ghostfuckers felt really good. She's understanding and supportive but won't let you walk all over her and that's also an important POV.
She's not like Blitz and Stolas who will be supportive at their own expanse. She shows her limits clearly but is still seen as supportive and dependable.
There's nothing about that being her place that makes her "poorly written" imo. She has a steady role as a character that is consistant and leads how she handles situations that arrive. I'm arguing that that's good writing, actually.

Thinking about how levinson and medrano compared blitz to the horse from “Spirit”
If you don’t know the plot. He’s a horse who doesn’t want to be domesticated and broken in by a human. It’s referenced a lot in “stolitz” in different kinds of imagery: from the hoody to the leashes. I think the intention is a metaphor, stolas, a civilised person, breaking the wild, sexually liberated animal blitz into monogamy, submission, and servitude. Yet somehow, even spirit gives the animal character more agency and humanity than helluva boss rewards blitz with.
They sort of slowly break down his spirit across both seasons. In truth seekers blitz learns who “the real” boss is, as dream sequence stolas breaks him in on a chain leash, then appears in physical form to overpower everyone in the room, including blitz. In the end, he rewards stolas with sex. But there’s a back and forth, blitz resists, stolas forces the issue using aggression, coercion, conveniently timed ‘generosity’, shaming, guilt tripping, and gaslighting. Also by comparing him to the violent striker, who has hurt blitzs friends, all to make him feel like a monster for ever questioning stolas. And it works. Vivziepops sees this as the correct comparison to make.
So as we notice, blitz never does that again. Verosika, Millie, fizz, striker, Stella, Andrealphus, and Loona, Even satan!! all now only exist to get blitz to love, date and satisfy this bird. And most importantly, to worship and obey.
So we finally are left with the “fixed” blitz that we have now. An imp who bathes, feeds, dresses, defends, kisses, and compliments a Goetia. Who allows a Goetia to insult and berate his food, life, and his hobbies. To destroy his belongings. And one who scoffs at the idea of a polyamorous desire. An imp who will undermine his own career and his own found family, in order to dream of a relationship and raising children in a traditional blended nuclear family with this Goetia. Who will change the foundation of who he is, to make this Goetia, his client, happy. As he is nothing more than his clown, sex provider, bodyguard, and butler.
Levinson, Medrano, and spindle horse tell us, that truer love than that, is hard to find.
You know the scene where it almost looked like the colonel was going to succeed in breaking Spirit, after tying him up in the desert sun without food or water for three days and then staying on his back until he struggled to the point of near collapse? If that actually did break Spirit forever, and if it were played entirely as the right thing for the colonel to do, watching that would be like watching what's happening to Blitz now.

Did the crowd's hatred outmatch Blitzø's?

Christ on a stick indeed, Blitzø.
This question, which our beloved imp had kindly raised himself, has been bothering me since the 'Apology Tour' came out.
I've seen plenty posts speculating on this topic, and it's not going to be a super unique take, I admit, but I would still like to think aloud about what that party really symbolizes.
Is it the true extent of Blitzø's tendencies to hurt anyone who dares to reach too close? Or was it exaggerated by Verosika?
Let's see what evidence we have on hand and make some assumptions about what that could mean.
A quick note of appreciation before be begin: I sincerely admire the amount of work done on detailing the crowd at the Halloween party. Just look at the progress in animation they've made since the 'Queen Bee' episode! From animating three-four people max to drawing almost each character separately, and giving basic movements to many of them.

But okie, let's go.
The avoidance
It would be silly to deny that Blitzø has issues forming meaningful, deep connections. He is afraid of affection, of love. We've seen this with Stolas. We've seen how hurtful, brash, and aggressive he becomes when offered vulnerability and feelings, how deep his distorted view of the world runs. During the Full Moon tryst, he is so terrified that he is completely deaf to what has actually been said, and he lashes out violently, scorching everyting along the way.

We also know Blitzø is extremely horny and finds comfort in sex, while being too scared of emotional attachment and craving it just as much. Given this, is it really surprising to see more people affected by his demeanor?
Take Verosika, for instance. He dumped her by running off after she confessed her love, leaving her to pay for a hotel room, stealing her car, running three Rings to Wrath, and maxing out her credit card on shitty horse riding lessons.

Then there are some people we don’t know who are visibly destroyed by their time with Blitzø. We know nothing about them, but simply observing their distress and Blitzø’s reactions is enough to draw conclusions.

We can endlessly sympathize with Blitzø. We understand what he has been through, why he behaves the way he does, and how much he still suffers. However, this does not give him a carte blanche to ruin the lives of those around him. The show does not glorify him as a poor, misunderstood figure—instead, it poignantly exposes how insensitive he has been to other people's feelings, and shoves it in his face immediately after he damages another relationship that, as we know, he actually held dear.
I mean, from some points of view, even Dennis, who only made out with Blitzø, could justifiably be deeply offended and scarred by his insults...

The hatred
Okay, something doesn’t add up. This was supposed to be a party for those whose hearts were broken, not for whiny bitches who couldn’t handle one little insult that’s quite common in Hell’s environment!
Ugh, thanks, Dennis. Now we need to untangle the other side of the mess, because it’s clearly not so one-dimensional anymore. But fuck you still, you fucking suck (affectionate <3 you actually slay).
So, what’s going on? Let’s take another look at the crowd.
For starters, Tex, baby, what are you doing here? Didn’t you say her beef ain't yours? Why the fuck are you involved? Did she pay you to be a backup for Stolas and passionately repeat 'motherfucker,' referring to someone who arguably did nothing wrong to you?

And aren’t those succubi and incubi from Verosika’s Spring Break entourage? Lads and lasses, did Blitzø fuck up your bleeding hearts too, or are you just hanging out at the same places as Verosika?

Fucking Wally selling hate merch? Blitzø, look at me—do you remember him in your bed? Or, maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t give two shits and is just capitalizing on a quick profit opportunity?

Blitzø doesn’t remember everyone from that party; he admitted that at the very beginning of our discussion. He recognizes some of them though, but doesn’t act particularly sorry...

As much as I’m willing to believe and admire Blitzø’s stamina to fuck that many people, I don’t think he’s had enough weekends in his adult life to meet, charm, have intercourse with, and dump all of them. The math just isn't adding up.
But he never questions whether the crowd was genuinely hurt by him or if they just came as someone’s friend or to participate in a thrilling experience of hating on someone they might not even know. Hey, those piñatas, darts, and fire pits look quite fun, don’t they? It almost seems like they don’t care about the implications—literally bullying someone and taking joy in it.

So, could Verosika be a little too obsessed with building the image of Blitzø as an irredeemable, ruthless, and atrocious imp, to the point of letting just about anyone in to exaggerate the extent of the real issue? Perhaps even doing it quite intentionally?
What the actual hell?
Before you get lost in my elaborate attempts to make my point, let me draw three conclusions from what we’ve seen.
Conclusion one: Both statements are true.
We’ve learned that not everyone in the crowd was hurt by Blitzø. However, even if we narrow it down to just the confirmed cases—six in total (Stolas, Verosika, two crying demons, and two demons Blitzø acknowledged before insulting them again)—it’s still a significant number. It’s enough to start questioning Blitzø and encourage him to change, as this harmful tendency leads to nothing good. For Stolas's sake and for his own, too.
Conclusion two: Blitzø entirely belongs to this party.
His spiky, insufferable attitude he shows to others is actually, from some point of view, this:

He is so adamant that he doesn’t deserve love that he deems all the affection shown to him as a lie. So he pushes away, snarls, insults, and attacks. Because how dare you love such a monster? This can’t be true; this is wrong!
It is himself whom his hatred is directed toward.
He should be an honorary guest at this party, a fucking star invitee. No one can fucking beat him in the craft of hating on himself.
And the crowd, which he didn’t even attempt to challenge, is just a showcase of what he thinks he is. It represents what he actually isn’t, considering we’ve proven that some of the people there have nothing to do with him. It’s an exaggerated, untrue reflection of his worst ideas about himself.
Conclusion three: Verosika's obsession with bullying Blitzø is unhealthy.
Yes, even considering her good intentions to help those who suffered because of him.
Just as the crowd reveals Blitzø’s extent of self-loathing, it also highlights her inability to move on and the persona she has created for herself. She is wholly engulfed in it.
While we now understand her point of view and where she is coming from, it doesn’t excuse her for organizing the bully party, stalking Blitzø and his partners… Seriously, how invested do you have to be to learn about the breakup after just one night? Or to even know who your ex of 5+ years (allegedly, we don’t know for sure) dated to begin with?
Lady, you need to put away your booze and get yourself together. He acted horribly, no doubt, but the effort you’re putting into trying to prove he’s a motherfucker just isn’t worth it.
This isn’t the solution. People are either still hurt or just enjoy hating on Blitzø, but they are simmering in hatred nonetheless.
They are not healing, and neither is Verosika.
A closing note (yay?)
TL;DR (should be at the beginning, really, but who cares): Everyone in this show needs some fucking therapy. Mental health sucks ass in Hell (wonder why?). And bullying also sucks. Don’t be bullies. Thanks.
Okay, class, put away your notebooks and put down your pencils. The homework will be to find some anti—and... why the excited, shimmery eyes? *gasp* No, don’t bully them. Have you learned nothing from what I've said? Move on. Block them. Because #stolitz will be canon, and nothing will change that, so let them whine somewhere else.

Alastor likes to tease you even more than he already does. Annoy you, piss you off, squeeze your face inbetween fingers to lead you on. It’s all so amusing and the way you bark out with rage at this has his day fixed instantly
Alastor does speak honestly about his own issues with you. He trusts you, you’re like the other friends he has, he may have known them specifically longer but he feels like he can be himself around you. You’re not that bad after all
Alastor finds it pretty cute that you have your own Hellhound child. You have a 22 year old Hellhound son/daughter/child and you’re so loving and affectionate to that Hellhound. He just watches it from the sideline, smiling widely and planning how to use this against you to mess with you
Alastor invites you out to hangouts regularly. To clubs, to drinking bars. Anywhere where it’s just you and him, and you two can just let loose by having drinking contests that end in Alastor slamming alcohol like a sailor and struggling to keep up with you on the dancefloor
Alastor will let you touch him with it seems fit but he does need breaks from you randomly touching him. He likes you, you’re a wonderful snarky little Imp so he can excuse any type of touch, but he needs space
Alastor’s smile and personality is more natural around his Imp friend and he treats all his friends equally so when you’re around, he’s smiling, giddy and sweet just like he is with other friends like Rosie, Mimzy
Alastor is the type of ‘I’ll do something for you at the right price’ friend. Give him what he wants and he’ll do a favour for you, he may like you as a friend but he wants to establish that you’re just like his other friends and you’re not that special at all

Alastor knows of your intimacy and commitment problems, and since he really likes this cute small gun-wielding badass imp more than he could suspect, he is willing to wait for you to get more comfortable with and trusting of him. Hence what actually fires up the relationship you two share
Alastor is extremely protective over you: you’re a mortal demon, he’s immortal. You can die, he already died and now immune to fatal blows. And the fact you’re an assassin that takes care of humans as well. You have the Radio Demon on your beck-and-call, and goddamn, how glad you are that you’re dating Al. You have a loving, doting but also scolding and cautious boyfriend right there to save your flank
Alastor expresses his loyalty, love and respect through that way he acts around you, giving you whatever you want free of charge, gifting you all kinds of presents, constantly writing you name on random pieces of paper or even the Hotel walls, being smitten of you around the Hotel staff. He can’t get you out of his head
Alastor loves carrying you around. You’re so small but you’re so squishy and cuddly, day or night. He loves hugging you to his chest and carrying you around, you’re smaller than Niffty and he’s living for it! You can be asleep and he’ll keep wondering around with you in his arms bridal style
Alastor is half for I.M.P, half not. The reason he isn’t is because he doesn’t want this psycho humans laying their hands on you and the reason he is is because he loves seeing you happy and he wants you to express your passions so he tries his best to be as supportive as he can
Alastor may or may not be the one taking care of you. You let loose sometimes after bad situations and he is the one reassuring you he’ll always be there, he won’t let you die alone and he’ll always be with you. He loves you and he wants you happy and healthy
Alastor’s ideas of a romantic date is to a nice restaurant, all dressed-up and bonding over simple conversation. Yeah, he isn’t the most ‘interesting’ date-planner but his vanilla tastes are so much better than anybody could ever suspect. You bond with Alastor very well with every date
Alastor enjoys bragging about you. He brags about you on his radio show and even promotes your business, I.M.P. He is going to show who you belong to and he’ll even mark you more… physically, if he must. You’re his and he won’t let any chance that somebody will try to steal you away
Alastor is an affectionate boyfriend and when I mean affectionate, I mean lovey-dovey, complimentary and touchy. He loves giving you kisses, holding you in his lap, giving you hugs, holding your hand all the time. He loves holding you, you’re so sweet and cute
“Darling. You should be a lot more careful… I wouldn’t do well without you, so please. Do both of us a favour and do not charge into battle recklessly… please? For this poor lovestruck little deer?”
Alastor also might just try figure out how to make you immortal so you’ll stay with him for all of Hell’s time

The Skull Kid: A Terrible Fate

Skull Kid's story is right up there with the more awful ones that the Zelda lore has to offer. A cursed child possessed by an eldritch demon, he carries the guilt of his mistakes; much like the Hero of Time.
Let's start at the beginning.
For those of you who don't know, a skull kid is merely a lost child-- Kokiri or not-- who wandered too far into the Lost Woods and became an entity of the forest, impish in nature and mischievous. Adults who wander and become lost, however, become Stalfos, aggressive and dangerous enemies who have lost all humanity: except in the instance of the Hero's Shade.
If we go so far as to delve into the manga, we can see the very beginning of Skull Kid's unfortunate story.
A young couple and their children have decided to picnic on the edge of the forest. A young boy instigates a game of tag, but races off into the trees his father warned him to stay away from. His parents rush to find him, but it's too late. He can hear them calling his name, but he can't figure out where their voices are coming from. Soon he can't remember his name, his parents, or even his own face. He becomes a skull kid.

Being a skull kid isn't all bad if you don't remember who you were, but Skull Kid feels wrong. Different. The other skull kids laugh and make fun of him, and he doesn't know why. He wants a face, so badly. Eventually he agrees to help the Baga Tree capture some Kokiri since he promises him a face, and Skull Kid then gets his hands on Saria-- which is where Link comes in.
Link convinces Skull Kid to help him, and after defeating the Baga Tree, he gifts him a "face" of his very own: a mask intended for the Kokiri Festival. Skull Kid is the happiest he's ever been and plays his flute on the edge of Kokiri Forest, wanting to join in on the festivities but too shy to ask.
In the game, our first encounter with Skull Kid is, again, in the Lost Woods. He's part of the Happy Mask Salesman's trading quest, in which you grant him a "face." We don't see him again until Majora's Mask.
The Happy Mask Salesman travels south, adjacent to the Lost Woods. This is the very same path that Link takes on his search for Navi.
Somewhere along the road, the Happy Mask Salesman is knocked unconscious by an imp and his two fairies.
They didn't mean any harm, of course. Skull kids are mischievous in nature but aren't violent. But he found an awful treasure, one that the Happy Mask Salesman had been keeping a secret for a very long time.
Majora's Mask.
An ancient, vile artifact supposedly containing the spirit of a malevolent demon, the Salesman paid no mind to the tribes who had guarded it for a millennium when they warned him of its power. The Mask had a pull toward it. Once you saw it, you couldn't let it go.
Skull Kid found it, and became possessed. He was himself yet not, influenced by the spirit of Majora to cause harmful chaos in the land of Termina-- a world potentially fabricated from Link's mind and influenced by the demon, or an alternate dimension that Majora opened a portal to. In either case Majora went on to terrorize his victims: imprisoning the Giants, Skull Kid's friends, manipulating them to become horrendous beasts; influencing monsters and people alike; and in a final act of devastating finality, summoning the moon itself to crush Termina.
The only thing that could stop him was Link-- Skull Kid's friend. In his possessed state, Skull Kid can still see and understand what's going on around him, he just can't stop it. He witnesses the final fight against Link, unable to stop himself, until the Mask relinquishes possession of him. Majora, believing itself a prankster and thinking that its only "playing," invites Link to the moon for one final, deadly playdate, while Tatl and Tael remain with the unconscious Skull Kid.
Possessed by a mask of his own-- the Fierce Deity-- Link defeats Majora and saves Termina. Skull Kid redeems himself with the Giants and makes permanent friends with Link, who teaches him Saria's Song.
Back in Hyrule, Link grows up, becomes a Hylian Knight, and eventually enshrines the Master Sword in the Lost Woods, there to be protected by a certain Skull Kid. Perhaps he witnessed the hero become the Hero's Shade before disappearing, but Skull Kid dutifully protected the Master Sword for centuries... Until another hero came for it.
Did Skull Kid live with the guilt and grief of the trouble he had caused Link and the others in Termina, even long after Link's passing? Is that why he protected the sword without fail another the Hero of Twilight came for it? After the Hero of Twilight took up the Master Sword, the Skull Kid leaves, never to be seen again...
Perhaps, just maybe, much like the Hero of Time, he finally found peace.

Hazbin Hotel vs. The Purge

Today, I'm going to examine and analyze HH's annual extermination by comparing it to another fictional event that I feel is similar in terms of ethical dilemma or morality, the annual purge in The Purge movie franchise. For those who haven't seen the movies, the purge is a 12-hour annual event where all crimes are legal.
Let's start with the purge and what's known about it:
Cause(s): Multiple wars led to an economic collapse and rising social unrest.
Rules: Here's a screenshot-

Outcome(s):  As a result, crime and unemployment rates plummeted to 1% and there's a strong economy. It's seen as a way for people to release their violent tendencies and aggression.
Implication(s): Lower, working classes are specifically targeted as they don't have the protection that upper classes can afford during the purges.
Sounds simple enough (there's more to it, if you don't want to watch all the movies, here's a link to the trilogy explained).

Now moving on to the annual extermination in HH.
Cause(s): This is confusing. The pilot initially presented that the exterminations were due to overpopulation in Hell. However, the actual show doesn't show any hints that the population is rapidly increasing, or overpopulation is causing any issues in Hell. The first episode stated that Heaven started exterminations to ensure sinners never rise against them. I don't see how that's possible since there aren't accessible ways to Heaven from Hell. Lucifer, a former angel, had to get permission from Heaven to get a temporary portal for Charlie so how do you think sinners are going to get up there to be a threat in the first place? Also, I wanted to point out that Charlie's plan to send sinners to Heaven only makes sense if overpopulation was actually a problem. Since there isn't anywhere else to place sinners other than the Pride ring. However, the narrative suggest otherwise.
Rules: It's not clear what the rules are for annual exterminations other than the exorcists can't kill the royal family or hellborns. Is it on a set date and time? Do exorcists go inside buildings? We see that the exterminations take place outside. This begs the question why don't sinners just hide and barricade themselves to avoid getting killed? There could be news broadcast reminding sinners of an upcoming extermination so they can be prepared.
Outcome(s): It's not clear how the exterminations affect Hell's society since the show never gives a glimpse of that. If overpopulation is an issue, it doesn't seem to help at all. Sinners don't seem to care and go on about their business. Let's not explore those who may have lost friends or loved ones. There are also the overlords who lose souls.... poor them, I guess. We can't forget the most important thing...... it's makes Charlie sad.
Implication(s): Heaven apparently never thought this would build hatred towards them, very smart. This is why Adam ended up dead. I want to bring up Lilith being the one who empowered sinners. Since she's been removed from the equation for seven years, what's the point in Heaven doing exterminations anymore? The only message I get from it is "genocide bad". But why is genocide bad in the context of the Hellaverse? There have been killings in HB/HH that are considered no big deals (including humans the imps kill on Earth that contribute to HH's problem further). There's also the black market for angelic weapons that's never brought up. I'm just not invested in the sinners as a whole to care.
Conclusion: The extermination is an interesting concept that can be explore in many aspects like The Purge. It's just not much thought went into it which makes it less compelling.

Ed Edd and Eddy succeeds at what Haz/boss attempts
Here's another series both these shows could learn from.

Ed Edd and Eddy, another hyperactive crazy gag cartoon that is hardly for its supposed target audience. With a very basic plot, it's a lot like Helluva boss, yet it manages to move any story along faster than the more serious plot driven but still wacky Hazbin hotel.
We have obnoxious lead characters pushing business in an unappealing looking and feeling environment where good and bad and right and wrong are ambiguous. Only accountability and growth are highly prominent in the kids show.
Initial plots
Assassin imps who sit at the bottom of society are determined to make this small business work.

Antichrist princess of hell runs a hotel where she wants to redeem sinners in order to send them to heaven.

Characters
Eddy is a lot like both Charlie and Blitzø, he's a hyper, toxic positive, opportunistic try hard, desperate for his ideas to work, he's leader of the pack who's good at being dismissive and driven to the point of carelessness.
Like Blitzø and co. and pilot Charlie and co., the Ed's are not established at what they're working towards, but they're willing to put in the work which only leads to misadventures.

Excluding Charlie as she barely gets the time of day, the fake it till you make it demeanor Eddy and Blitzø display masks saddens, loneliness and a lack of control of how they live and how they've been living.

Blitzø glides through his show on charisma and sympathy, along with facing someone objectively worst, his behaviour being rude and mean spirited is something nobody cares about and he like those around him can step up on anybody of any standing and their actions be shrugged off.
Eddy too is a charismatic and sympathetic character, his constant trying and failing at his ideas offers us a good underdog, yet he's no hero, he's a scammer and his unsavoury ways always bother people. He gets confronted a lot.

Charlie glides through on being a nice enough side character, dispite being the lead. Though like Ed, Charlie is very determined to push an idea and get others on side, but lacking in fight, assertiveness and aggression. All three leads are fast talking salesman types, yet Ed faces consequence on the regular.
HB and EED feature additional leads that serve as the primary leads sidekicks.

We have the highly similar Moxxie and Edd, though Edd stands up for himself a more, there have been fall outs and he doesn't treat his leader of the pack as a superior, something Moxxie does dispite being there since Blitzø business was just an idea, which was when they first met, welcoming Blitzø into his life.

Both are timid, sensible, cultured and full of ideas, dragged into the problems their pushy leader presents and walked all over, much to their frustration.

We also have the friendly and loyal bruiser sidekick who doesn't really have a lot to contribute in this group dynamic. These characters being Millie and Ed, yet were Millie could speak up more, have an opinion and let her presence be known but she doesn't, Ed on the other hand is consistently operating from elsewhere.

Target audience
Helluva and Hazbin are both adult cartoons, yet clean up the dialogue and that's hardly the case. Yes there's gore and mature themes but they make up a small part in upping the age rating in comparison to the swearing and sex jokes. The mature themes are offered to us in layman's terms, we get a lot of flashbacks and confessions.
Ed Edd and Eddy is for all audiences dispite being violent, featuring sexual harrassment, domestic violence and child abuse, the execution of these mature themes are played out in a nuanced manner where we are not spoon fed information.
Mature themes - trauma
Dispite being a comically violent gag cartoon, all the children, dispite being at odds with Eddy, some being volatile ob the regular and some being younger, were able to understand what domestic violence was when Eddy was bullied by his brother, his brother being a character Eddy had long hyped up as someone cool and admirable, turned out the only truth was that this guy existed.

His own revelation that he had fabricated a big part of his background explained a lot, all of Eddy's charisma and try hard ways were determination to be liked, appreciated and have nice thing. This was growth for him and he earned the respect and understanding of his peers absent of pity, everybody moved on happily without the audience being guided into what they should perceive.
The movie not only wrapped up the show, but bought completion to the whole story.
Helluva and Hazbin is very overt in showing us what the characters have been through and are going through. We get flashbacks to childhood even when it may not be necessary.
First off, Moxxie's flashback was fine, it wasn't particularly dramatic for its setting, it explained why he was a good marksman and why he had 'daddy issues', his daddy is also an active threat, so Moxxie's avoidance doesn't always work out.
Blitzø desperation to have his business work out leading him to make a dodgy deal fit perfectly fine, we learn that his kind are at the bottom of society, we see that they don't work anywhere glamorous and he's no kid, obviously he's had to make an effort to keep his head above water, his poor decision making has probably gotten him into trouble in the past which is something that could spell endless storylines, his family aren't present and he's aggressively forming a new one so bridges being burned were storylines the audience should have expected, we learnt that he stole from Verosika and broke her heart, Verosika is a whole sucubus who seemed more cut up about in him than him interested in her.

Did we really need to know that he was manipulated into being a user and a thief back when he was an innocent little child? Weren't his underhanded tactics understand enough?
Charlie got a flashback of being a very small child expressing an interest in what her daddy was doing but her now absent mother took her away. This provided the backbone for her sulking that her dad isn't being supportive when he presented himself as a rare character to challenge her ideas, yet unlike the other extras to do so he had the vantage point of having had the same ideals herself once.

Her mother being probably the most like minded person in her life yet absent, for some reason doesn't matter.
Mature themes - SA
In Hazbin we have a pimp who films porn and has his workers in soul contracts.

We have royalty lending out a grimore in exchange for kinky sex over in Helluva.

Sex jokes are a regular occurrence in the helluveese with actual SA being downplayed by the victim who holds no power and no to little choice, who openly shows a discomfort around their controller, not be a victim because they gave reluctant consent.
Sexual harassment and SA manage to be present in EEE in an overt manner despite the show being for all audiences, yet they also manage subtlety.

The pests are the Canker sisters, three intimidating sister with different dads who all want boyfriends and are a force to be reckoned with, they stick together and double up as school and neighbours bullies and are casually violent to one another with no hurt feelings. They have snuck on to the Ed's properties and even the most ferocious of charaters fear them, these girls want their way with their targets and little stops them, so they hold a lot of power, it really makes for a good hierarchy.

Though there is self awareness here, they have been stood up to for their aggressive advances and in one episode they had their pushy ways reflected back at them and were terrified, only this wasn't undone by a new episode rolling around and all that was done being undone, but normality was restored when they smelt fear, a predators equivalent of blood in water to a shark. This allowed a major plot progression to occur yet be reversed effectively, opposed to HH and HB offering big plot progress such as Blitzø and Moxxie's capture and heart to heart or Charlie showing up at Angeldust's work, which both go on to make no difference to future episodes as if they didn't happen.

The subtlety with their characters comes from the surprising adult joke of the different fathers which insinuates that their behaviour is something they're used to seeing, also, they are children, what chance have they had to learn empathy and decency? Who will teach them?
Which leads on to a major plot point of all these shows.
Elders are to blame
Where both Helluva boss and Hazbin hotel are big on daddy issues and absent mothers, Ed Edd and Eddy doesn't feature parent at all. We only follow children doing as they please wherever they may be. We don't see teachers even though we see them at school. We don't see neighbours even though the world around them is often being trashed. On the occasion we do meet a seemingly adult character it's away from the series and in the movie, it's a truely big deal that lives up to any hype, then the story is over.
Adversaries
In the Helluverse, villainy is selectively embraced, the tone of who we should root for and who we shouldn't is clearly set. Where we have full blown predators and dictators being pushed as essentric and the other cheek turned to their actions and intentions, Valention is just running business and Stolas and Blitzø have a thing going on.
Some are even counterproductive, how did Lucifer being at the heart of everything not matter or care to be addressed? Why does Charlie not care about the sinners Alastor and Rosie cannibalized?
We then have had prominent adversaries who the tone depicts as baddies we shouldn't like and a real treat, however both series gave us a 'big fat stupid jerk' who nobody had issues humiliating. Nobody cares about what they have to say or their contributions.

Female adversarie haven't been much of a threat, they get to have spats with the character who in the spotlight, sympathetic and in the right.

What did Glitz and Glam do that was so wrong? Was Stella not a scorned woman cheated, publicly humiliated and given no choice but to leave her home,

later revealed to have the same sad backstory as Stolas yet less freedom in the present?
Females tend to be sexualised 'super bitches' with their bitchyness being what matters, not what is directed at them, but ultimately it doesn't matter at the same time because they don't matter. Over in HH, we have basic Lilith as a twist shady character lounging on the beach while war is happening and her daughter struggles? Why is this is an issue when her husband is yet to be confronted and probably never will be? Same 'bitch' who come between daddy and daughter.

There's also fellow basic Lute whose actions truly should should make her stand out but don't for no reason at all, yet would they get half the spotlight if they weren't designed cute?

Who knows, since every female to get some time has been 'pretty', but no doubt the same dismissive attitude would be sent their way if they absolutely had to be seen.
Ed Edd and Eddy have a variety of different local kids to serve as friends or foes. The perpetrator depends.
They tend to be common trophes that are built upon, take jerkish because he can be local mean kid Kevin, who sees the Ed's as dorks and feels the need to let them know it.

The highly aggressive Sarah is almost entirely reactive, yet as violent and strong as she is, she has no more courage than anyone else and is seen gaging when to pick her battles or being to frightened to make her presence known. She is a nice friend to Jimmy and mainly a menace because she is a bratty little girl who is harder to avoid than others since she's Ed's sister.

Some are decent like pretty and well liked Naz who is rather mature and isn't going to let herself get walked all over

and foregin kid Rolf with his unusual customs, a hard working and principled kid who will call out anyone

but how much patience should a nice enough person have? Especially when lot of the time it's the Ed's, generally Eddy, making trouble for others.
Ed's main barrier to success is his struggle impress or screw these others over, there's no shying away from his behaviour bothering people yet he still manages to hold up as a fun, eccentric lead.
Location
In the Helluverse, this is hell but only when it suits. The scenery of HB has looked rather spacious, vibrant and appealing while the harsh colours of the HH series in heaven or hell are bold, the ceiling we were offered in the pilot which offered a claustrophobic entrapment seems a thing of the past, it looks very big and open once we step outside of Charlie's hotel, even the colour relax to something more neutral.
There is a lack of depravity with powerful leaders we are to like being toned down, the sin of lust believes in consent always, the sin of gluttony worries about over indulgence and the actual devil is just a fun dorky dad who doesn't appear to be doing anything in particular. Anyone portrayed as a victim serves to tug at the viewers heartstrings and be cute and likeable in that moment.
Charlie has a big fancy hotel that isn't going anywhere and welcomes sinners, former humans who are spawned into a middle class.
Over in HB the demons have raised hell on earth, arriving to carry out hits, bringing forth monsters, demonic possession, lude acts infront of minors, showing true forms and being responsible for some of the most gory scenes.

All with no consequence. It's like the setting serves primarily as a way to incorporate fun character designs with the various races.
EEE gives us a bunch of unsupervised kids who can do what they want in this unattractive environment that uses a strange colour scheme with a lack of contrast that gives a closed in feel. It is entirely lawless, non serious, so OTT that anything goes, physics need not apply.

For years people have theorized that these characters aren't living and that this may be set in limbo or purgatory. Be this the case or not, this series succeeds at giving us a very off backdrop to compliment its total lack of realism.

Yes. Air is all he needs. With trembling hands he opened the doors of his balcony before he fell to his knees. It was for naught, for his pain now overwhelmed his logic. Not even the soft caresses of the nightly winds were merciful enough to relieve his discomfort. Throbbing, hurting, aching. He brought his hands to his face in horror, feeling his jaw lock in place. "Cazzo, cazzo, cazzo" Secondo cried quietly, as chunks of flesh started to fall of his face. The skin of his cheeks ripped apart as his teeth grew sharp. The older Papa did nothing but close his eyes in pure agony as his blood and drool mixed in one, staining his immaculate white dress shirt. Pooling by his knees. He brought a hand to his chest in a desperate attempt to comfort himself. It reminded him of the touches of his mother when he was a child, during the times he would suddenly wake up mortified by his night terrors. Through his fear, her touch was benevolent. Calming. Reminiscent of the times when he was nothing but innocence. A touch that was able to scare the most fearsome demons. Yet, this one in particular was out of her ghastly reach. A toxic imp that infected his very core. Secondo suddenly opened his eyes as the first waves of that loathed thirst took hold of his throat. He looked over his shoulder to consider whether to drink the remnants of a bottle of wine he started drinking the night before. Without further hesitation, he downed what was left of the liquor. The alcohol stinging as it made contact with his wounds. Unfortunately, it was not enough. It was never enough, and he knew that well. Such an aggressive flare-up could only subside with a cure that matched the malady. With a taste of the very life essence that runs through the veins of many.
He sat there, defeated. Contemplative. In the deepest pain imaginable, as his disfigured jaw - which now resembled a monstrous snout- continued to drool. "Chi sono io? Madonna mia, che devo fare?" He pleaded to whoever could hear him. To the Darkest One below. To the intangible spirits surrounding him. Secondo was even willing to stoop low and desperately beg for the help of the one above. And he begged for a solution. For a cure. For a hint that maybe this was just another one of his childhood night terrors, and it will all be gone in the morning. Anything would be acceptable for him now, as long as he did not give in to his urge to consume blood.
That's when he would know he had lost himself completely. Once more. "Papa?" A scared, worried voice took him out of his thoughts. You now stood by the ajar door of his chambers, taking in the whole scene. "Papa, are you ok?" The second Emeritus froze in place. His face twisted in dread at the mere thought of what this could mean. Of how he could lose you. Was this a sick, cruel answer to his screams of mercy? His thirst grew, yet his stomach churned. Hi! Tq for the help. Sort of fanon-just-getting-into-canon writer here. I've read Barr's Detective Comics Run + Starlin's run for Robin Jason and UTRH + Lost Days + Countdown to final crisis for RH Jason. Going to be reading more but this is where I am at.
I just wanted to know, how would you approach a story where Robin Jason and RH Jason meet? What are the considerations from canon someone should take writing it? They're complicated, both of them. I don't think RH Jason even likes it all that much but morso deems it as 'necessary' and has made himself a moral casualty.
I'd be happy to have another viewpoint on this! But basically although Jason was an angry teenager, rightfully so, about the unfairness towards victims and the justice system itself being rigged against poor people (the whole diplomat's son fiasco and even adtif discussing immunity) I think he was the type to still view his bleeding empathy and compassion as righteous. I think he'd be vv put off by murder? Atleast the extent to which RH Jason is doing it?
Trauma changes people and grief is such a heavy driving force and I'd want to explore it but I feel iffy on many aspects.
How does RH Jason see himself? Does he see that love and open heart as weakness? It's a mess ;-; I feel my RH Jason characterisation isn't hitting at all. Does he have a moral compass (I don't think so???) Plus for all his love, he's also an asshole (imp information to me). Plus I just don't think Jason as a whole is suitable FOR vigilantism. It's an absolute mess. So if you have any input lmk! Tq.

I think a key part here is to not ignore Robin!Jason's anger. He was, generally, kinder and sweeter than Red Hood Jason is, but he was still angry and plagued by violent instincts. You can play this up, have Robin realize that if he continues on this cycle that he doesn't know how to break, he'll become Red Hood. He'll become apathetic to victims and grow hypocritial and, most importantly, alone. Jason, especially as Robin, is desperate for connection and affection. He would genuinely recoil at the idea of having no one that loves him -- it is, after all, what drives Red Hood to demand Bruce kill the Joker.
I do, yes, believe Robin Jason would be put off by the rampant murders. Not that Red Hood kills, I think after Felipe Garzonas he could realistically see himself becoming a killer even if you don't believe Jaybin pushed Felipe off, but he would be upset about the sheer extent of it.*
*You can tie in some of the Batman mythos here. Jaybin fully, throughly believes in Bruce's mission, fully believes that Batman is capable of saving Gotham. To see or know that Red Hood murders people would imply to him that he loses faith in Batman. It would break his illusion that Bruce is all-knowing and all-powerful, and that's GREAT angst potential.
Red Hood Jason believes himself to be right. Judd Winnick said on an interview something that's stuck with me-- Jason does not see himself as a crimelord. He does not see himself as a mass murderer or a villain. He believes himself to be a better Batman. Jason has full faith in his methods and his aggression, and he would not take kindly to anyone (especially a past version of himself) who told him he's wrong.
He does NOT view love and an open heart as a weakness. Red Hood is perhaps even more open with his emotions than Robin has ever been. He's loud about his feelings and he demands people listen to him, forces them to understand and sympathise with him. It hardly ever works, but he does try.
Lastly, Jason actually has a very strong moral compass, he's just wrong. He's headstrong and stubborn and sure of himself. He believes that his murders will change the world, he believes he's a good person. He thinks taking control of crime is the only way to truly stop it. He thinks if you're a horrible enough person then you're no longer a victim, you're a casualty.
None of that applies to himself, of course. He thinks he's good, and kind, and understands politics like nobody else does. He thinks he's saving people when he tells them to join him -- see Green Arrow (2001) #69-72 with Mia.

Okay so, yk that whole ‘I’m not a violent dog, I don’t know why I bite’ audio clip that’s been doing the rounds on tiktok recently, now we can very obviously relate this to Sam and his aggressive attitude n stuff, BUTT consider this; it’s better (well maybe not better but equally valid) for it to be associated with Matthew HEAR MEOWT, now I havnt played the game in a while so I may be getting a few things wrong but, the scene where (in matthews route ) when like everyone’s eating breakfast together and talking about when they got into fights and whatnot n sam brings up when Matthew totally murderised a bunch of imps who was making fun of his mother. Now, I may or may not be projecting a little or reaching but these are my headcanons okay🫵🏻 but I think it’s very possible that Matthew could have suppressed anger issues like given all his insecurities with others always helping him and people not seeing him as a man and people just generally babying him it must’ve been really frustrating and it’s not hard to believe that he’d snap every now and then, and like..ugh I could sit and talk about it for days but the long and short I’m trying to convey here is that he has anger issues, he’s normally happy go lucky and suddenly he just gets SO wound up he snaps, and it’s violent, and when he calms down and the adrenaline leaves he’s worried, he’s panicked and concerned that HE just did something so out of character for himself, he’s worried he’s becoming like his father. he’s not a violent person, he doesn’t know why he lashes out like that.
Please I pray the rest of you can see my vision PLEASEEEEE AGREE WITH MEEEE /lh

Yapping just to yap because I'm going feral
I'm so crazy right now I have to go to work in a while but all I wanna do is yap about fairy god uncle Lilith and all the ways she uses her tiny form to inconvenience and piss people off around town. Like some little bitty bitch bastard imp who throws eggs on people cause eggs smell awful.
She's literally just a little guy flying around yelling at PCs to get their shit together and do their damn homework not suck and fuck every five minutes. Your fairy god uncle hitting your window at night with a grade book in hand aggressively reminding you she still is your teacher and she will fail you.
Now I need to actually draw her inside of a jar screaming as someone slowly pours sweet tea in cause she hates sweet tea and she'd rather be rainbow dash jarred than sit in like an inch of sweet tea.
I can't even remember who made the post but Lilith shrinking is soooo entirely based on this one DOL post another person made that was like "What would various characters do if PC became itty bitty tiny?"
Literally infested my brain but it was what if my worst freak ever to exist was the size of a stuffed bear or a barbie and then I drew crazy stuff.
I lied in my first post you absolutely CAN fuck the art teacher just good luck convincing her because she's more set on fixing everyone's moral issues than she is banging them. Unintentional seduction check #1000 as she yells at someone that they need to leave her favorite barbie doll (Yunie) alone. I'm slowly coming for everyone's PCs to draw them being harassed by Lilith and I haven't even drawn half of my own yet.
I have like 7 and they're all girls because I haaaate trying to come up with funky designs for guys they make me itch. I'll draw them all eventually, they're all varying degrees of slut that fuck anything that moves.
I also have my first ever DOL pc from when I first heard of the game then rage quit because all the assaults were making me violent in game and irl (this is a joke I just got mad.) She ended up in the asylum and I was going crazy working on getting her out of there and treating Harper like shit every chance I got.
I still wanna use her cause she ties in with my mental lore but the game save is on my old phone which moves insanely slow. She's not abandoned just can't access her right now. Definitely gonna draw some crazy stuff with her though because I did make a design for her at one point and she's a very angry person who doesn't like pants and who Lilith loves too much.
Was also gonna draw some doctor on doctor violence with Lilith and Harper because in entirely different stories she's an actual medical professional unlike ugly harp seal over here. But in DOL she's just an art teacher with a suspicious thing for cadavers and illegal medical procedures. Soon you'll be back my asylum baby girl very soon. After a million missing posters at least.
Maybe when I get off work I can go wild again with my art and yappery. As if I'm not gonna be on my phone never shutting up at work anyways.

Thinking about how Viv wrote herself into a corner with that stolas rape deal
And what she came up with to get out it was “well blitz is a slut who has lots of sex, so now you concerned viewers look stupid” “Stolas feels bad about what he did and wants it to become consensual, but blitz keeps trying to tempt him.” And later “all that verbal sexual abuse involving being an imp was in blitzos head, he’s just mentally ill, stolas is an angel, he sees that now.”
But this dynamic is night and day even between episodes 1 and 2 of season 2. This attraction to stolas is very novel and frankly contradictory. Chronologically speaking, the first ever time Blitzø had “attraction” to stolas and the only time in season one, was truth seekers. An episode when he had a mental break, imagined himself chained to a taunting stolas, was called a plaything by him and was verbally and physically abused by an angry stolas, then for all of that ‘happily’ gave him a ‘reward’.
Where going from various implications, particularly western energy, blitz would exert a lot of violent aggression and sexual control, which stolas found kinky because he is an imp. I can safely conclude it was some type of angry hate sex, an intense lashing out of hate filled anger stolas always ignored or missed, with a bizarre selfie after one iteration. A slightly terrifying way for blitz to cope psychologically. Apology tour blitz sees sex with stolas as a fight. He wants to continue the sex with him in control, because there is something he doesn’t want to think about. And I think it’s fizzarolli. I mean, many voices said “you’re gonna die alone Blitzø” but Blitzø only focussed on fizz. And after Ozzies, well, who was the catalyst of that? And now full moon/apology tour, we can feel Fizzs presence again.
That makes me worried about his mental health. ‘But that’s just how he sees the relationship!’ they say, as if his feelings on his own exploitation don’t matter. This new ‘arousal’ feels very trauma induced and I’m (not) shocked that Medrano thinks this absolves stolas of all blame. And Loona, Verosika, Moxxie and Fizz, are all enablers designed to normalise this. Who also do not absolve stolas of blame. I mean that scene of blitz touching stolas’ legs and him getting aroused but saying “no, no! It’s not right” before blitz code switches to begging for the book/money, feels right out of Frollos wet dream. He’s not abusive or predatory to Esmeralda, she keeps tempting him to take advantage of her! Or as stolas fans would argue: “Frollo isn’t predatory to Esmeralda, she led him on and awakened him, he only said and did those things because he thought she liked it!”
Beautifully put. She started (by her own admission) with the intent that Stolas would be a villain, tried to "fix" it, but because Viv is Viv, it's about as effective as fixing a broken toaster by smashing it with a hammer

Got my red string in hand and my wall of photos to possible suspects and Blitz right at the center. I was just thinking about Blitz’s line from Full Moon and his anger at royalty and where it comes from like several of us have been rolling around in our brains since he said it. I see three possibilities:
A Royal Ex:
Blitz has yet another famous ex, this one some form of royalty or Sin. A few of us have talked about the possibility he was really hurt by another famous royal. I am definitely on board with that to a point but I’m not yet 100% sold on it. And Andrelphus is really the only character we know right now that is a possibility in my eyes. We haven’t met Vassago so he is still in play as well.
It’s not Mammon, it’s not Ozzie, it’s not Bee, and it’s def not Stella. These are the higher up people we’ve met in HB so far with no indication in their scenes it goes deeper than that? For Ozzie, Mammon, Bee and Stella Blitz has met and interacted all of them and it was never hinted at or mentioned, no uncomfortable looks, no conversational cues or dialogue that reflects he knew them any deeper than what we see in their shared scenes. And no way he wouldn’t have rubbed it in more if it was Stella.
Vassago is a potential but Viv said he was a good boy (and oddly I believe her so I’ve been adjusting my theories accordingly, maybe I’m stupid for that lol) so holding onto that it could be that Vassago was a proto-Stolas, they dated and Blitz assumed the same things he’s doing with Stolas, but then my brain says “If this demon is the source of the hurt that drives Blitz’s actions with Stolas now, then why would they be an issue then?” If the hurt was created by Vassago then Blitz wouldn’t have the same baggage and hangups to ruin that relationship in the same way. So either Vassago was a dick who hurt Blitz bad enough he feels this way to this degree now, and is not in fact, a good boy, or it was another misunderstanding, which feels redundant and not potentially serious enough to warrant this level of reaction and trauma (not that trauma has a threshold of hurt you must meet but in media you have to be hyperbolic and dramatic to translate magnitude to the audience) so I lean away from him. There is some good potential there but I also think I would kinda hate it unless it was done super well.
Andrelphus is the most likely option for this possibility. He and Blitz have not met on screen, he is a known character with ties to Stolas. But like the other characters we know I feel like we’d have some hint of it beyond this line in Full Moon? Mostly because we’ve been setting up Andrelphus and Stella as a threat for awhile and establishing a second connection with them to Blitz without any prior setup after the breakup feels weird to me from a writing perspective. It just doesn’t quite fit with how this show handles dropping hints and foreshadowing. If it was Andrelphus I just feel like we’d have a few little background things tying him to Blitz, even something subtle like uses of ice motifs in backgrounds, or dialogue that hinted at a royal ex before Full Moon, especially one so closely tied to Stolas and so reflective of the issues in their relationship. It could be Blitz doesn’t realize Stolas and Andrelphus are connected but I just find that hard to believe at this point. It would be a tough sell for me writing wise and would feel more “Ha, what a twist”. It wouldn’t feel earned.
A Class Divide
Blitz was speaking in general on behalf of imps, it’s personal in the way marginalization is always personal. It’s not about one specific encounter with one specific person but a lifetime of encounters and micro aggressions. It’s less about a specific incident and more about the current class hierarchy especially given their conversation in Apology Tour was meant to echo Striker, to show that Striker’s feelings and his concerns aren’t wrong, his hurt came from a real place that all Imps experience, he is just expressing that hurt in violent ways. I dislike this neo-liberal framing that violence is not an answer to oppression, sometimes violence is the only recourse a marginalized group has, and I would especially hate that in a queer show. Unfortunately that is the prevalent position in media and political discourse, just look at reactions to protest movements. I don’t agree that Striker’s actions are necessarily justified, vigilantism is a rough and complex topic, but the show seems to frame his actions as decidedly negative. This is a hard one to explain fully in just a few words so I’ll leave it at this and delve into it more in a post about class dynamics. Basically, it could be Blitz isn’t talking about a specific personal hurt but furthering the idea that Striker and Blitz are on the same side with different approaches and outcomes.
Barbie Wire
This is my current favorite. What if the royals fucking with imps isn’t even a reference to himself but to Barbie? If Barbie was involved with royalty and was hurt by them, and Blitz’s interference and attempt at protection led to their current estrangement it would make sense for him to be this upset about it and take it out on Stolas. A royal ruined his sister’s life and as a result made her hate him. I think we established that Barbie and Blitz worked together for a time after the fire? I’m not 100% on that but I thought there was some hint to that in the background posters at some point? For some reason I have it in my head that they did not split immediately after the fire or as a direct result of it, their split came after.
But I can def see a scenario where Barbie gets involved with a powerful person, a person who encourages her substance abuse, who maybe was the source of it from an enabling point of view. It could be a patron of one of thier shows, taking advantage of the performer they paid for, luring her in with drugs and parties. Blitz, well meaning, tries to get her away from it, maybe he knows the true nature of this royal and confronts them, the royal drops Barbie leaving her an addicted mess and they lose their livelihood at the same time. And Barbie blames Blitz for the ruin of it, even if he had only the best of intentions. She might not know the whole story, or as is sometimes the case, really loved this person even though they did not have good intentions and she refuses to see that it was the best thing for her.
There’s enough baggage between them from the fire alone but this would add another really interesting layer. It would be a fresher way to emphasize hurt than adding to the cadre of Blitz Exes. If there is a shadowy evil royal this is my preferred scenario for it.
