Admitting codependency

When the world around you is crumbling when something good comes along it is so hard not to cling to it. Wanting all of it. Sucking the life out of it. Suffocating it to death. I know I do this. But in the moment it is so intense and I want to express it because it has been so bottled up. Like missing yet explosive. It’s like when hydrogen peroxide hits baking soda. I sit there collecting baking soda over time and when I finally get a hit of hp, it’s like hit me, hit me, hit me, give me it all. Then there is nothing left. But a mess. I don’t know, is it that I collect baking soda? I feel like there is so little that sparks joy in my life. That is truly it. 

How do I spark more joy in my life? I do truly want to take that responsibility off the next stranger I meet that gives me a spark. It just isn’t sustainable. 

It does seem extra challenging at the moment given that I cant really go anywhere or do anything or have a regular life. What I am focused on though is LOVING MYSELF and EXPRESSING MYSELF FULLY and really getting confident with that. I am feeling inspired to share my writing more and use that as a launching point for my next job and where I am going next. If nothing else, I got that from Drew. 

I think what makes dating so hard for me is that I truly dont understand how guys are so into me and then they disappear. I wish I could understand that so I could let it go. Even if it was - oh you did this... and this is why. But I dont really understand it. I wish I did. Am I too forgiving? 

What makes you forgiving? IDK, I think people mean their best. I give benefit of the doubt? Or is it you seek to focus in the good and ignore the bad because you don’t want to be abandoned/rejected? Is your energy too needy? Or chaotic or self abandoning? 

FOR INSTANCE: in this situation with Drew. He is being inconsiderate of your feelings about coming down today. He knows it is up in the air and I am waiting for an answer and that planning is important to me. But he has said nothing at all, not even, no its not possible. How does that make you feel? FUCKING TERRIBLE. Honestly. Reminds me of the recent situation with Joe. How it is like my needs are completely off the radar and that I will just be there happy and available when they feel like it. I don’t like that, I feel very disrespected. 

Ok, so what are you feeling about it though - rejected. sad. a bit obsessive. Wanting to convince him of our connection and how amazing I am and how he should love me and think I am rare. BUT, just like with Joe... idk, most likely he will just disappear. Dating guys who are less attractive than me has failed to have the result I was looking for. I’m lonely. UMMM you could work on your website, your resume, your writing, work out, do a spin class, clean your FUCKING HOUSE, have you seen your room and garage girl??? Or your kitchen or bathroom? Like dont fuck with me. You have PLEEEEEEEEEENTY to do. Schedule time with a friend. Something to look forward to.
