Ciao lovelies! Since the east coast has been hit with some storms recently, I decided to make a list of 5 things you can do on a rainy day!

Rainy days are boring because many of the fun activities for every season are outside! But there are actually quite a few fun things we can do inside too!

#1- Watch a Movie/Movie Marathon

Movies are fun and transport us to another world! Try watching some movies, pop some popcorn and have a full on movie day in the house! For extra fun, invite some friends for a  movie marathon where everyone picks a movie and you all watch them! I like watching all the Monster High movies in a marathon!

#2- Cook/Bake Some New Recipes

Rainy days are a great opportunity to test out some new recipes! Baking is very fun to do on rainy days because you can make stuff and eat it! My fave is to bake some cakes and decorate them.

OFT actually has some recipes of our own, including Lemon Cookies and Strawberry Shortcake. We also have meal recipes like Cheeseburger Bites and Italian Chicken! Make sure that if you’re under 18, you get permission to use the stove, etc!

#3- Read a Book

Similar to watching a movie, a book can take us to new places! Books are great for killing time during rainy days. I personally love the Sherlock Holmes novels, because I love a good mystery! What’s your favorite book?

Something that’s fun, productive, and indoors is to do DIY crafts or to sew!

February 2024 Monthly Music Recs

February/Near February Releases:

"Take Me" Cookiee Kawaii. If you've liked any of the soundtracks for Spiderverse, try this song. It's a new direction for CK and she's doing so well.

"Light(N)ing" Stap Sigh Boys. Don't know how to explain this--psychedelic and funky, a bit Daft Punk-y at times, and it's technically J-Rock but is completely English. Vocals are weird and FUN.

"Stick Up" Uniiqu3 & Black Caviar. Kinda has Missy Elliot vibes.

"Glitter" Suzy Sheer. Generic but good electronica. A pleasant filler track for any dance playlist, imo.

"Silence is Loud" & "Crowded Roomz" Nia Archives. Good UK drum and bass. Perfectly calibrated to be both emotionally resonant and just... fuck. These songs fuck.

Picking a song off his mini was hard but going off instinct, I'll highlight "Dangerous" by Ten, member of NCT/WayV/SuperM. The song is just good, it's accesible; it's an alcohol drink that goes down smooth, you know?

Similarly hard is choosing songs off of Club Shy! I LOVE "4eva" and "Thicc" by Shygirl + some great features. This is club music for the girls, for the gays, for anyone who wants to let loose.

While nowhere near as good as "Coloris" from my url, She has come out with a new song "Vector Break", if you like more electronic based video game music, give it a listen but if you don't like it STILL GIVE COLORIS A SHOT.

Dance music is the name of the game this month! "SMSOU" by Eliminate & Frost Children is just great dance music with some light hyperpop sensibilities and whimsy.

"The End of the Contender" Everything Everything. This is the most straightforward alt rock Everything Everything has gone for but it works and still brushes against melancholy in such a compelling way.

"Burn Alive" The Last Dinner Party. Dark with some edge. Maybe Kate Bushy (I don't listen to her, sorry). Kinda Florence-y. God, yeah, it's Florence-y.

"One Night/All Night" Justice & Tame Impala. It's Justice... and Tame Impala. Need I say more?

NGL, this is surprisingly... English? Which is surprising to me. In part because I've listened to this 90s Tai-pop song on repeat every single day. I also got back into Maximum the Hormone thanks to that tumblr post.

Quick overview for beginners!

Volumes 1 and 2 are just the main protagonists, aka the lovebirds, meeting each other and the start of their slow burn romance, with Cairyx-kun being the more extroverted but who we later learn keeps some secrets, and Luce-kun being the more introverted and reluctant to open up, but by the middle of volume 2 they both accepted they've fallen in love, but now the hard thing between them is who will have enough courage to confess first

After one of them finally confesses in the final page of volume 2, which I won't say who it was so you can find out for yourself, in volume 3 the other accepts but the problem is that Luce-kun feels unworthy of Cai-kun's affection because, as is revealed later, he is an orphan and he was the one who caused his family's deaths, so he feels that Cai-kun deserves someone who isn't a murderer. Fortunately, Cairyx-kun understands and explains that Luce-kun couldn't possibly be a murderer since what happened was an accident, and that he'll still love his goat boyfriend no matter what

Pretty kawaii end to volume 3, but in volume 4 the drama continues, as Cairyx-kun's family do not accept of his relationship with Luce-kun and it is revealed that Cai-kun is actually already promised in marriage, something he never told his boyfriend. After many ups and downs, this entire stunt finally ends when Cai-kun's promised husband breaks off the engagement himself, as he wishes to live his life by his own rules and respects that Cai-kun wants to stay with the person he truly loves. This volume ends on a bittersweet note, as Cai-kun's family ends up disowning him, but he and Luce-kun overcome it because they don't need someone else's approval to love each other

Volume 5 is much more about our favourite couple fighting against prejudice from others in regards to their different species romance, which had already been seen in the previous volumes, except that in this one it gets much worse, but they do have some people who support them and they are able to keep moving on

In volume 6, our lovely couple move in together and eventually start planning on adopting a child, something the both of them want very much, and it is also heavily implied that one of them wishes to propose, though again I won't say who. Turns out that adoption is a bit of a no-no in this society, but since a guy can't get another guy pregnant, it's their only option. The final chapters of this volume end with them visiting the children's home, with a bit of a special emphasis on a specific boy, who is obviously going to be the child they're gonna adopt in the future

The newest volume 7 gives us an even closer look at their relationship and adoption plans, and the partner who wishes to propose also begins to build up courage, until by the end of the volume, after a romantic dinner date to celebrate having been accepted as possible adopted fathers, said partner finally does propose, but sadistically we're left with a cliffhanger on whether or not the other said yes, though I think we all know the obvious answer

About the anime adaptation news, the release date hasn't been fully confirmed yet, but the production team has confirmed that they plan on the first episode having 20 minutes in total, which is around 3 to 4 minutes less than most other animes, but it's good news nonetheless

it's interesting to watch them trace the start of the friendship~~ Tkr recognized Yuu (and Shohei i think?) from ikemen magz at that time, when there were lots of magz with Yuu on cover, also at that time there were ikemen hype, like IkePara, and TeniPuri stageplay (or musical i forgot 🙈), and Yuu was one of the most popular 😂

While Yuu don't really change since then, Tkr becomes more shou-ene (has little energy) time after time 😂 But actually, when they first met, Tkr adjusted to Yuu's mood at that time. So maybe since they got along, Tkr can be himself more 🥺

Yu: Taka said once that he can't be married until all the members in the band aren't married. But now that all of them are done it, he could done it anytime 😂

But one opinion is that marriage is impossible for all three of them (except Shohei who is already married) Takeru said he feels like Yu can do it too... But for them (Taka, Takeru) it's impossible 😂 (me: 👀)

Takeru said that normal/ordinary happiness is the most important thing and that he and Taka "can't find normal/ordinary happiness."

Taka uses lots of emoji Tkr doesn't use emoji at all, but he will hide his kindness somewhere in the messages (like, suddenly, 'how bout you Takapin?'). And will get very kind once they talk one-on-one.

Shohei: I’m thinking of shooting a drama and upload on youtube. With Takeru as producer, Yuu as director and me and TAKA as actor. TAKA can do it definitely.

Yuu will get very nervous when he knows Tkr is watching him XDD But that's bcos he knows that Tkr will analyze and judge things strictly, his standard is high but he will strictly tell which is good/bad. That's why Yuu is kinda reluctant to directly tell him that it's interesting

They're talking abt Tkr has the quality to be a person behind the scenes (prod/dir), but he said that it's bcos they know how to work (as actors/musicians), they should try to produce things. And yes Yuu is actually doing that, by creating a musical that he wants to create

Also Tkr said that the best condition is a person who can act AND direct, bcos he knows the feelings of the actors, so it won't be just one way from the director.

According to Taka, Tkr has almost never missed OOR's concerts 😳 And at one time, he came to their meeting, just sat there like a director, with a pen and setlist in front of him. Tkr said that someday he wants to produce OOR's con and YES i really want to see that happen 🔥🔥
