The cool air was welcomed after the stifling atmosphere of the dorm. Despite being back in the dorm and around so many people, Shinji had been adept at keeping to himself, erecting an invisible wall between him and the others.

Until it came to Minako. No matter how he tried to sequester himself, she always found him, always asked to hang out and to talk, and despite everything he found himself giving in to her requests. The same happened tonight when he was about to walk Koro-chan and she appeared to join him. He was starting to wonder how much of this was her taking her leadership duties seriously and how much of it was, well...her, he supposed.

"You really must not have anything better to do." Koromaru's leash was tight in his grip, giving the dog enough of a lead to walk ahead of the pair as they made their way to the shrine.

"--? Ah, okay?" he has free time after all. Besides, he can't say he did spend time with leader before. Usually, he's trying his best to juggle his time between school, club activities, tartarus and his duties as the heir to the Sanada family. Mind you, his foster mother is a kind person who made sure he lives his 'high school life' to its fullest before he worries about any 'adult' related topics. "Where're we going? Hagakure?"

✞  ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧   ARMS CROSS.  He looks down on the smaller girl as usual, if only for his staggering height. He’s aged! If only a little, mostly seen in the length to his hair, the additional tattoos, the spread of inked on black wings along his back and a few new scars.       Other than that, unfortunately, he’s barely changed.

“ Why do you look at me like that, child? I have done nothing wrong here-- clearly I am as misplaced by this situation as you are... ”

   “ You look kinda choked up doing this stuff, if I'm gonna be honest. Not that that's a bad thing or anything. ” Alm drops himself to be sitting beside the naginata user— at least he understands the spear more than the magic she's been using in battles. Then again, magic was never his strong suit. “ I'm not really used to this kind of thing either, though I've been wanting to use my sword for who knows how long. Ironic, isn’t it? But you look greener around the gills than me. ”

Aki told him that this was the place. He couldn’t believe that he’d been convinced to join SEES again, but he was going to follow through on his promise. Shinjiro had dug through his old things to find his SEES armband, and he now wore that on his left arm. It had been old and dusty, but it turned out he hadn’t the mettle to discard it. 

“Hello? Anyone here?”

He steps into the lounge, and finds the current leader of SEES, Minako, fast asleep on one of the couches. Immediately, he recognized her as being one of those stupid kids who ventured to the punks’ part of town. So, she lived here, huh?

He stayed quiet. She seemed to jolt a bit when he’d called out, but he hoped he hadn’t disturbed her.

@heartwilled sent... "So...how long do you think they'll keep us in here?" Minako asks from where she sits in her hospital bed, juice box in hand. For what are pretty darn obvious reasons to her twin, she's not a fan of being cooped up here after that strange fight with...whatever the hell that creature was. "I mean, sure, I got pretty tired from walking up and down the hallways, but I feel fine. Don't you?"

"beats me."

you're more interested in eating your fish right now than contemplating... whatever happened in the dorms back then. it feels more like a dream than anything, and besides: regardless of what it is, minako is safe. does it really matter what happened? those women at the dorm were clearly trying to keep the two of you out of it until the monster showed up. either they'll continue to lock you out of the loop, or they'll offer an explanation whenever they deem you fit to leave.

it doesn't matter either way, so there's no point in getting antsy about it. then again... while it doesn't matter much to you, minako's never been one to be cooped up. she's always dealt with things by filling her schedule with as much as she can, so you can't imagine being trapped in bed with only her thoughts, you, and the periodic breaks for hospital-mandated exercise is fun for her.

( especially because the hospital is a source of bad memories for the both of you. recovering from the accident, only to realize you'd never be going home again... part of you feels, even now, that the delay is because they're still trying to figure out your actual dorm situation and it's just easier to leave you here than send you back to that one with the girls. and the magic guns. why did the guns make magic happen? not that it matters, you guess. )

"but i'm fine, too. still kind of tired," then again, minako may point out you always seem kind of tired and thus that doesn't mean anything, "but nothing feels... wrong. they'll come get us soon, i'm sure. maybe there was damage to the building we didn't see- back when it was trying to get in. they might just be fixing that before coming to get us."

after all, if they want to keep you both around and out of whatever it is they're doing, making sure everything appears untouched would be vital to convincing two people they were collectively hallucinating...
