Decent spoilers for Moonrise below the cut, but it's nothing quite detailed. It's my first sketches of Hector's "final" armor, matching my doodles of Rapunzel's final armor!

HIS HELM LOOKS SO STUPID AAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHDHH

This was my first sketch for him. I'm sobbing. This poor man. I made more because of course!

In here I was starting to think about functionality. In Moonrise, the Moonstone will naturally make their Hosts heavier, and that's a big disadvantage for Hector who has speed as a very important factor of his fighting style. So by the time he's in the Final Battle™, he has basically embraced the Tank-y nature of the Moonstone and adapted to a very bulky, defensive armor.

And since he can't run towards his enemies anymore, I figured he'd like to have a way to bring his enemies towards him instead! Hence the new weapon, heh. He still has his retractable blades in both of his arms, so that's that!

Here's a closeup of the doodle of him fighting Rapunzel.

Later I tried to make his helm look less stupid (it looks SO stupid I even thought of keeping it that way just so Rapunzel and her crew can mock him for it before battling lmao), because I figured that the spikes in his helm almost resembles a rhino, and I wanted to lean into that. Because really, of all people, of course Hector would have a helmet resembling a rhino.

I like it slightly better than before, but still, eh. It's really hard to make a protuberant "horn" show up in front view, so to me it looks a little wonky. Also the way I drew it makes it seem more like a mask than a helmet, so hahhehee.

I also took the liberty of drawing Rapunzel walking into his equivalent of Cassandra's Tower. He's so extra. These things on the ceiling have a lot of relevance but I won't share what they are bc they're spoilers >:)

That's all I have for now!! I'm definitely gonna end up refining his design later, but I wanted to share my WIP ideas anyway.

I had Undyne's armor (Undertale) as my main reference for his armor, and for the weapons I thought a lot about Kai from Kung Fu Panda and Death from Puss in Boots. I just think they're neat!
