Thinking about how Helios would offer to build highly organized and efficient digital archives from scratch for both clinics he works at. Easy to navigate, actually working and efficient search functions, easy logging and maintenance even without Helios around.

He'd offer to do this for Ashe/Ullane and come back 2 days later like ok here's the entire system, with our data (under fully vetted and effective security measures) already imported

If pressed he will admit, yes, he did work on it at home. But he enjoys doing this kind of thing, it's relaxing for him and he was glad to have something useful to make.

What was it like back on your homeworld? How does it differ from Alternia?

"Not any more than I am equipped to handle. I am an outlier on that front, however. Most Arcrux would find Alternia to be hostile on an impossibly stressful level."

Hi Helios! And no, I'm not in the need of any help. I'm just a little curious about you, that's all! Could you tell me how you ended up on Alternia?

"Ah. Well, I am afraid it is not a particularly thrilling tale."

"I simply traveled until I reached an inhabited planet, which so happened to be Alternia, and stayed there."

Designation 8725095 "Kaitos" would have been urged to volunteer for the Arcrux military by their family and would have been in a similar situation to Helios- Training their physical bodies rather than controlling machines, a much safer but more costly alternative.

They initially had their 'grotesque' scarring repaired, but after returning home and discovering that their family's patriarch had encouraged them to join the army in an effort to get rid of them, they had the scarring recreated as a 'fuck you, I survived' to the patriarch.

The above thing being Fucking Illegal, the patriarch wound up being deposed by authorities and Kaitos was reassigned to a different social group, basically adopted. (Usually only something that happens due to legal separations)

They would have left Gammet with their new social group and wouldn't have landed on Alternia.

I didn't have the spoons to draw Helios Mikari, but he also would have wound up in the Fleet under similar circumstances to Kairos. He would have been a lot, a lot more personable and didn't continually sabotage himself, and while he still would have landed on the front lines he also would have gotten out fairly quickly with much less trauma.

He would have woken the Mikari lineage's magic, though, and through these massively powerful destructive "psionics" and combat experience would have worked his way up through the ranks and eventually landed a position as General.

Personality wise, both of them actually would have been much the same as they are, which is to say, rather dry, a little traumatized, and ultimately kind-hearted.
