Imagine Argyle Meeting Hellcheer

I sent this to my eddissy gc awhile back and I just can’t let go of this hc. So I give you this! *sparkles, glitter, and fairy dust*

“Woahhh!” Argyle let out overdrawn exclamation.

The California gang had met up with the Hawkins gang after a terrible earthquake-like event sent a ripple throughout the town.

Dustin, Lucas, Mike had made it out. They thankfully found Eddie and Chrissy as well. The latter couple were beaten up and bloody but they were safe. When the boys found them, they figured the safest thing to do was to get out of dodge before Jason’s mob ripped Eddie apart limb by limb.

They took Eddie’s van and drove all the way to Utah, meeting the California gang at Suzie’s house.

Argyle, Jonathon, Will, and El were waiting for them. They were relieved to see their friends and amidst all the hugging and teary reunions, Argyle laid eyes on leather clad Eddie, who had his arm wrapped around a girl in a cheerleading uniform.

Eddie was the first to notice Argyle’s staring. He fixed him with a mean glare.

“Can I help you?”

“You seem to have already helped yourself, brother. Knocking down the high school hierarchy for us all who might reach beyond our means for love.” He pounded his chest with his fist twice. “Respect.”

Eddie Munson, perhaps for the first time in his life, was speechless. How in hell’s name do you react to that?

Chrissy’s choice? To laugh.

She could barely contain the giggles even with her manicured fingers clamping over her mouth.

“You’re funny.”

“Actually, I’m Argyle.”

Chrissy laughed even harder.

“I’m Chrissy and this is Eddie—“

“I’m her boyfriend.” He made sure to enunciate with extra venom. His friends could vouch for Argyle all they wanted but at the end of the day, Eddie didn’t trust anyone. Not after what he’d seen. And he’ll be damned if anyone tries to hurt Chrissy after what they already went through.

“Hey there’s no beef at my barbecue, broseph.” Argyle said, two peace signs in the air. “I’m just digging the Romeo and Julietness of this love connection. I, myself, have a special lady in the great state of Utah who is of the gothic persuasion. If a cheerleader and a methhead—“

“Metalhead.” Eddie corrected.

“From Idaho—“

“Indiana.” Chrissy interjected.

“Can find love in this crazy, mixed up world then so can a humble surfer boy-slash-pizza wench and his gothic lady love.”

Eddie stared Mike down.

“Where the fuck did you bring us?”

Summary

Eddie Munson had never once forgotten Chrissy’s birthday.

Until tonight.

The longer she waited for him at the Hideout, the more angry she got. He had promised her last week that they’d do something special, something to celebrate not just her birthday—but the day that marked their one year anniversary. He’d been busier than ever lately. Some talent scout had caught a Corroded Coffin show a few weeks ago and suddenly, they were touring all over the Midwest. They deserved every bit of this headstart to success…but Chrissy was beginning to miss her boyfriend. And he had promised that this gig in Indianapolis wouldn’t take long…it was an afternoon event, for a fair. He promised to be back to celebrate her birthday.

She stared at her untouched beers. She thought of ordering a basket of fries, but her anger would not let her. What was Eddie doing? He always called if he was running late, he knew the Hideout’s phone number, knew she’d be waiting for him... This was Jason behavior and she thought about it, the angrier and more insecure she became. Was there some groupie at his gig pawing all over him? Had he snorted some celebratory coke and forgotten all about his girlfriend? Did he decide something…or someone…was more important than her?

An angry tear slipped down her cheek. Eddie was a full two and a half hours late. Maybe…maybe she should leave.

As though on cue, the phone behind the bar rang. Chrissy jumped and looked over towards the bartender desperately. Dave knew her well and as he met her gaze, he nodded, as though affirming he would tell her if it was Eddie. He spoke for a few minutes and…his face went pale. He looked towards Chrissy, his expression suddenly ashen. Chrissy felt something uncomfortable twist in her gut.

Dave hung up the phone and made his way over towards her. “Chrissy,” He said gruffly. “Lemme uh…lemme give you a ride.”

She stared up at him, lost for words.

“There’s been an accident.”

TMI Tuesday

Goodbye, two week vacation. I didn’t get HALF the shit done I said I would. But the rest was very much needed.

Last week, I managed to crank out the next chapter of One More Time, Steal My Breath. I was a bit nervous about this one, because I know this particular kink isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It’s gratifying to know that, while this chapter may have been a squick for some, it didn’t chase you all off!

Currently, I’m working on some good old fashioned Hellcheer monsterfucking. I’m trying really, REALLY hard to keep it relatively brief, but my muse really doesn’t like simple plots. I’m going to try and make this an open-ended oneshot. That way, if I ever want to return to this playground, I can, but if not, hopefully readers will be relatively satisfied.

(Oh god I’m totally gonna fuck this up.)

After this is done, I’d really like to go back to Rumbelle and Anyelle for a bit. I’ll still be writing Hellcheer, but there are two fics I’d really like to try and wrap up soonish. Plus, with the holiday season coming, I’m gonna need some fluff.

I’m also working on events! Gifts for the Hellcheer Gift Exchange are due in less than a week. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes out with!

With November fast approaching, the Rumbelle Secret Santa will be taking sign-ups soon. I’ll be posting from the @rumbellesecretsanta blog on that soon.

Finally, we’ve got @the-chipped-cup-awards coming up! I posted an updated nomination category list on Sunday. It’s still pretty long, but we tried to compress it a bit in order to make it a bit easier for people to nominate their favorites.

Whew. That’s, uh… that’s a lot. Anyway. I’m here all day!

Hellcheer Week FAQ

It’s Year Two of Hellcheer!

Welcome back, Hellcheer Nation! We’re about to reach our second year of Chrissy and Eddie’s incredible chemistry. Why wouldn’t we celebrate with another incredible event?

What does it involve?

We’ve gone even bigger and better this year! We have several mini events running before and after, kicking off in June. 

We’ll have a weekly poll based around our favorite couple, every Monday in June.

Every June Thursday you’ll find our Throwback Event, celebrating how far we’ve come.

1st to 7th July we have the event itself and we can’t wait to see all of the things you will create. 

And finally from July 8th to July 14th we have our wrap up event - but don’t worry, there’s more information to come on all of these.

When will the prompts be released?

15th May! We’re giving you guys a little bit more time to write, draw, make gifs or moodboards…whatever you can contribute to mark the occasion. This should be at around 3 pm pacific/6 pm eastern/11 pm BST

How involved do I have to be?

That is really up to you - vote in the polls, make one new work or one for each day, or just reblog…we’re just happy if you take part. 

What tags should I use?

#hellcheerweek and #cheers2hellcheer would be the best ones but we’ll also follow #hellcheeranniversary and the Hellcheer tag.

The mini events will have their own tags so please look out for the posts about those if you’re interested in taking part!

Who is running the blog?

We have a larger team this year so there will be a separate meet the mods post! Please also feel free to send us asks about anything.
