closed starter for @lcstinthewoods for: wanda muse: daimon hellstrom ( codename: hellstorm // son of mephisto. ) our muses are on the run from the ' salem seven ' sent by lilith. my muse has turned to yours for a purpose to try and find the darkhold and to be taught and trained in how to learn his abilities of magic.

"people keep pretending like i am my father. fine i'll show you what i am capable of." having grown tired of fleeing from the group calling themselves the salem seven as he stood outside the cabin his hands lit up with flames as a pentagram would then be ignited on his chest. deciding to let loose and give in to his power he had inherited through his father since his father was the king of ' hell ' and daimon ' the son of satan ' . clenching his chiselled jawline as he attempted to focus on controlling his powers as the young male was so adamant about protecting wanda with his life since she was important knowing how valuable she was to not only lilith but his father ' mephisto '. the seven members not phased would cast their protection spells as daimon would stare intently at their leader with flames began to ignite so suddenly out of thin air on all of the seven members robes as they would begin to panic.

daimon let out a grunt clenching his flamed fists as they would be all blasted with telekinesis as his powers would be uncontrolled. the cult members all seven of them would lay on the ground crying, screaming as they burned before daimon would blackout having exerted too much of his demonic abilities. " you will never claim her! she is mine! " he then staggered forward as his mind would feel light and dizzy. daimon becoming weak would then fall to his knees he would close his eyes letting out a groan. " i'll protect you wanda. i won't let them take you like they did my sister. " he whispered before falling unconscious.

Flash: Smash. the UST. They butt heads all the time, argue, push each others buttons...sometimes they just gotta bang to get through it, you know?

Danny: SMASH. They act like an old married couple, but bang like a couple of horny teens in a slasher movie. Danny is well aware of how the demon can be, and he knows how to handle him.

Jack West: Smash. He knows he's a jerk, but he's also a HOT jerk, so he wouldn't mind having a little fun with him (I'm starting to think Jack is weak when it comes to attractive demons.)

Grifter: Smash. Cole has to be the most annoying person in the room at any given moment, and Is Daimon's there too, this won't do. He must smash to assert dominance.

Jack Russell: Smash. Look if a Hellstrom hits on him, Jack isn't going to turn them down.

some demon tried to turn me against you by telling me you weren’t selfless, can you even believe? 

“you think that i think he’s selfless. man and i thought you guys were supposed to be good at reading people. i don’t give a shit if he’s not selfless. like you said ... nobody is. i’m sure not. oh man, that was a good laugh. you know you suck at this whole ... demonic bad boy schtick, but you should definitely go into comedy. do you want me to give you some numbers of agents?”

He was just trying to have a beer for heaven’s sake. Granted he did know better than to think inviting Balthazaar to join him, even for tea, wouldn’t involve some grand manner of nonsense - the disembodied hand at his infamous feast proof to the positive of his reputation in that regard. And he was at least a more pleasant houseguest than many others he had... the last time Daimon Hellstrom had stopped for margaritas by he’d nearly incinerated the couch.

Apparently the mad deity just wanted to paint him like one of his French Girls. Which was a compliment he had never anticipated getting in his lifetime.

Which was precisely why he didn’t know what to do with that information. Other than nearly snort his beer, which was probably not his most suave comeback ever. Especially given he blushed, because much as it was an odd statement, he knew better than to think it wasn’t fully and frighteningly meant. “Uh. I can say quite honestly that I’ve never sat for a portrait before,” he said, the sounds rough in his throat. “But somehow, I get the feeling you’d do me justices.”

Johnny knows Raven has done bad things, part of being a Ghost Rider means being aware of other's sins. Johnny would be a hypocrite, however, if he held that against her when he's known to rub elbows with people like Logan, Daimon Hellstrom, Deadpool, ect. He's unbothered by it, knowing she has her reasons, and knowing there are things she has done that she does regret. Mystique is more than her sins, and he's eager to gently remind her this whenever she needs to hear it. Raven is a complicated soul, one that has been hurt time and time again, hardening her against a cruel world that fears and hates her. Johnny hasn't quite faced the same experiences and hardships that she has, but he's faced his share of his own trials by fire. Maybe that's why they clicked so easily...he understands, to an extent, what she's been through. They both know what it's like to be outsider, they both know how it feels to lose someone you love more than anything. Mystique is a friend, and a close one. The two don't trust easily...but Johnny trusts Raven, maybe more than anyone else in his life. She knows him, she gets him, understands who he is, what he's seen and lived through. She laughs at his jokes, backs him up in barfights, spends all night drinking with him until dawn, or pulls him into the nearest alley to relieve some much needed mutual tension. Their love is intimate, physical even, but never romantic.The bond they share in unique, stronger than most, and deep. There's few people Johnny would lay it all down for, and Raven is one of them. A call in the night, and it wouldn't take long for Johnny to be outside of her door, ready to help with whatever she needs.

hello ladies n germs ! y’all have isla to thank for reawakening my muse for this angry, angry boi bc i love daimon a lot even tho *isla vc* marble does him sooooo fuqin dirty. i’m gonna do my best to give you a brief explanation on mr hellstrom even tho a lot of my portrayal will be a lil all over the place ... much like his presence in the comics ! uhhhhh without further ado - here my angry boi ~ 

okie dokie so if this isn’t already clear, daimon and satana are siblings. daimon is technically only half demon as his mother was a mortal and his father was... y’know, satan. here’s a fun pic of satan loving his kids. he’s three years older, though the two, especially in their upbringings are polar opposites. daimon’s first few years included living with both his parents and satana until his mother walked in on a sacrifice the kiddos were sitting in on, and that his father was orchestrating. this drove her to insanity and she was institutionalized, leaving daimon and satana alone

the two were separated and put into foster care on earth and it’s here where daimon, free of his father’s influence, entered a monastery in hopes of becoming a priest. during this process, he received a legal notification of his inheritance of his father's house, where he found his mother's diary and learned the truth about his birth

 at that point, satan, aware of his son's new knowledge, directed him telepathically through the house's secret basement interdimensional passageway to the demon's netherworld domain, or hell. 

his father beseeched his son to disregard his mother's diary's warnings and serve him in hell. however, when "satan" transported hellstrom back to earth, hellstrom decided to dedicate himself to fighting his father's evil. he immediately returned to hell in an attempt to battle satan himself. although he failed to defeat him outright, hellstrom managed to pit many of satan’s slaves against their master as well as to steal the satanic trident of satan and a demon-drawn chariot before returning to earth 

daimon also discovered the powers of the darksoul that he had inherited from his father. he declared himself the son of satan, and for the next several years battled many manifestations of demonic evil on earth as well as other realms.

ABILITIES N SUCH 

it was also during this time that he began working with the defenders which was where he got to learn more about what he was capable of. some being, that as a ruler of a dimension of hell, he can perform pretty much any magical feat.

when hellstorm, daimon can sense the presence of the supernatural, and can cast spells to transport himself between mystical dimensions as well as back and forth to earth. other powers such as soulfire (also known as hellfire) from his trident, which causes excruciating pain within living beings through direct contact of a person's lifeforce. it doesn't burn like actual fire, it's more of a "blast of force".  

as the son of satan, daimon possessed what is called a darksoul, which is the demonic counterpart to his human soul which physically manifested itself on his chest in the form of a pentagram shaped birthmark. this granted him superhuman strength and the ability to project hellfire. he can magically change into his demonic "costume" (aka the firey!boi) by shaping his hand into a three pronged trident and letting hellfire engulf him. 

his trident (which he snatched from his father the last time he was in hell) is made of netharanium which is a psychosensitive metal found ONLY in stan's extradimensional realm. the trident was a medium through which magical energies, such as his hellfire, could be amplified. by projecting his hellfire through the trident, daimon could gain enough thrust to levitate and fly for short periods. 

he also possesses a chariot pulled by three demonic horses, hecate, amon and set  :) bbs 

EXTRAS 

alrighty so in the way of him and satana’s relationship, there really isn’t one? i mean they were split up rather young and when they were living together they were under their father’s influence and uhhhhhhh sacrificing shit to satan so. 

tho he may have a hard time expressing it, he truly loves his sister and cannot imagine a length he wouldn’t go to to keep her safe. especially after all she’s been through, he’s even more of a protective older brother than usual 

daimon has a really bad temper like REALLY BAD i’m talking hairpin trigger temper. he goes from 0 to 100 REAL QUICK and he’s not even sorry 

he’s also very very dramatic, and with good reason to be. i mean. he’s the SON OF SATAN. 

i would also like to mention that he’s worked with dr strange and the avengers a bunch and he LOVES BEING A HERO. so much, ok? bc his story is basically one of fate, what his father wanted of him, vs his free will, which is fighting against his father’s influence and doing whatever the FUCK he wants. he’s SO incredibly baby. that will be all

what is your otp for your character?:  I don’t really have one for Dante. Lately he hasn’t even been hanging around people appropriate for him to ship with. His main companions are Ms. Marvel and Moon Girl, and both are way too young. I think Dante/Grid has potential, but I don’t have an actual OTP

what are you willing to write when it comes to shipping?:  A lot of things, honestly. Though I find writing sex in Tumblr format kind of boring and would just prefer to fade to black nine times out of ten. As far as themes go, though, I dunno. Hit me with it and if I’m not into it, I’ll say something.

how large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?: Honestly, this is one of those things where I know it if I see it. I think a lot of it for me depends on the characters and the dynamic involved, so my limit would be different for each pairing.

are you selective when shipping?: Not usually. Sometimes I’m just not feeling it but overall, I’m pretty open to most ships. I’d just like either a bit of build up/interaction or some OOC plotting before we’re just all like “lol our muses are boning”

how far do steamy moments have to go before they are considered ns.fw?:  It depends on the scene. I tend to put posts behind cuts once the pants come off, but that’s more because I know different people have different feelings on what is appropriate nudity. I feel it actually becomes nsfw if genitals start to be mentioned, or anything gets more detailed than mouth kisses and vague caresses.

who are the characters you ship your character with?:  Right now? Ummm...I have ships with Daimon Hellstrom, Magnus Bane, Warren Worthington,.. I think those are my main active ships right now 

does one have to ask to ship with you?:  If things start heading that way naturally, then no, though I do appreciate being asked just to make sure! If you wanna jump into a ship sooner rather than later, I would like to talk it out first so it doesn’t get too weird.

100 Days of Comics! 061/100: Defenders #25 (1975)

What better to follow Avengers than Defenders? Defenders was the non-team team. And today’s selection from the box.

In this issue, we’re already partway through a story. Dr. Strange, Nighthawk, Yellowjacket, and Valkyrie have been captured by the Sons of the Serpent and imprisoned in a metal prison resting at the bottom of the sea. And Clea has summoned SON OF SATAN Daimon Hellstrom and Luke Cage to save them, using Daimon’s probably cursed hellhorse chariot.

And right after they’re freed from their serpent bonds, Yellowjacket shows up to also help, having freed himself off panel probably.

Then Daimon uses his satan powers to determine where the tunnel to the surface is and melts through so they can escape.

Meanwhile, Valkyrie has been hung from an upside down cross to be burned, Daredevil is about to join her, and the Hulk has been blinded by the Sons of the Serpent and is lashing out aimlessly. Its pretty hectic.

And the crowd is just standing by and watching it. Until Jack Norriss (the husband of the woman who was turned into Valkyrie) rushes forward and attacks the Sons of the Serpent to save her. And the crowd only sees this as someone finally standing up to the Sons of the Serpent.

Now, the crowd is casually racist but not to the extent to want to burn people alive. That’s something?

So the crowd rushes the Sons of the Serpent. And Daredevil has gotten free and is helping. And Hulk is just punching at random.

The Sons of the Serpent run off, darkly muttering that the people will learn that they only wanted to save the white race.

Daredevil and Jack Norriss put out the fire and get Valkyrie down.

Also meanwhile, the previously captive Dr. Strange, Nighthawk, Yellowjacket and the rescuers SON OF SATAN and Luke Cage follow the passage up a ladder and find themselves in a familiar office.

Familiar to Nighthawk anyway. It’s the office of J.C. Pennysworth, financial advisor to Richmond Enterprises. Which means that Kyle Richmond’s (secretly not-Batman Nighthawk) money has been funding the Sons of the Serpent!

Elsewhere, an elf with a gun shows up at the house of Tom Pritchett and wife Linda and shoots Tom. Holy crap! The elf with a gun!

Later, after the two teams of Defenders have rejoined, Nighthawk goes alone to Pennysworth’s house and accuses him of funding the Sons of the Serpent and acting against his own people!

First, Pennysworth is surprised that his boss is Nighthawk. He never would have let the Sons of the Serpent try to kill him if he knew. And also: “I spent most of my life trying to escape ‘my own people.’”

He admits that he did fund the Sons of the Serpent but his real motive was just to make a shitload of money for Kyle. He honestly didn’t think he’d mind. After all, Kyle owns stock in companies which gouge the public of millions every year and in firms that pollute the air and water. A race war would have increased Kyle’s holdings so he was arranging one for him.

And in fairness, Nighthawk used to be EVIL not-Batman. He initially joined the Defenders because his teammates were going to flood the whole planet and he keeps his stuff there. His heroism and conscience are newly grown.

Its the kind of social commentary that Steve Gerber became famous for.

But anyway, Nighthawk takes Pennysworth back to Dr. Strange’s house to face the rest of the Defenders.

Luke Cage instantly belts Pennysworth but Nighthawk stops him. Pennysworth has given up the location of the Sons of the Serpent’s main base. And they’re going to go kick some ass.

And there’s a two-page spread of them doing just that. Frankly its overkill but the Sons of the Serpent deserve to be overkilled.

The narration muses on the irony that they’re being taken down by the man who financed the entire operation AND the son of the serpent that drove Adam and Eve from Eden. Y’know. Daimon.

But despite the victory, Nighthawk realizes he done fucked up by not being responsible enough to watch what his money was funding. And he flies off to brood over it.

Also there’s an honest to god comic style Twinkie advertisement featuring Captain Marvel (the Mar-Vell one) and Nitro (the dude that is eventually responsible for his cancer death) where Captain Marvel stops Nitro from blowing a hole in the middle of the ocean so big “it’ll flood the world” (???) by distracting him with Twinkies.

You do get a big delight in every bite, after all.

So, I was hard on this iteration of the Supreme Serpent when I first discussed it last time the Sons showed up in Avengers. But actually reading it, I think it works. At least better than the Sons of the Serpent could be said to have worked before. ALSO ELF WITH A GUN.
