hiiii newb player here so sorry if this has been asked before. my game audio completely stopped working once i entered. not sure if this is a bug orrrrr..? really unsettling not hearing the sfx when fighting imps >_<

Possible causes that are game related:

You have gone deaf. You will Question your way out of this one eventually.

Master Volume set itself to 0 (sometimes happens upon entry, we are not entirely sure why). You can check in Settings -> Audio, and set the volume to your preferred level.

Your Land generated the Silence theme or its subtype. You can Quest your way out of this. You can tell by visiting other Lands and/or Dream Moons, audio there should work.

Your Land generated the Sound theme or its subtype. Has to be Landquested out of. Same check as above.

If you are playing release older than 7.2.0, your Land might have generated as Land of Sound And Silence (or corresponding subtypes), in which case you can’t do shit about it, but anywhere else the audio should work as normal.

Possible causes that are not game related:

Your audio drivers are busted. Update/repair.

Whatever was transmitting sound from your gaming device lost connection/ability to transmit sound. Typically Bluetooth devices are a prime suspect because Entry temporarily confuses that. Deploy Turn It Off And On strategy.

You have gone deaf. Accommodate for this disability; you have an Alchemiter and aids have been made dirt cheap or in some cases even free on purpose

Future 🦊 here- the Mage of Law simply made a rule that he cannot die, and if attempted, a whole ass session gets unmade. Thoughts?

A coplayer revived my waking self’s corpse mid-godtiering which caused my dreamself to pause in an untouchable cutscene state. I had to die again in order to complete the process, and my dreamself has disappeared but the particle effects have not unloaded and I am now half-dead. I’m assuming by the particle effects this is unintended. Session ID 095382902858

Yeah, seems that while the cutscene itself was cancelled, its transforming process wasn't.

I did overwrite the three concerning lines of code manually. You might feel woozy and as if caffeinated fingers combed through your existence of being, which is exactly what happened. The feeling should eventually pass, but if it doesn't, you'll have to live with it. Better than being half-dead and radiating Ascension glitter.

so time player's dead, we figured out some kind of plague existed way back when and a botched cure turned out to be said plague, which is also why the time player is dead. we have a life, doom, mind, and space player working together on fixing this shit so when we go up there we don't also just. die.

None of my colleagues are able to be viewed, or contacted, either. Do I just... wander around until something happens? I've never played this game before, my apologies.

Honestly what you are proposing? The best strategy. Just fool around and things will work out. Go by your gut feeling without actively going out to break stuff on purpose.

The game is trying to be played. It is difficult to win, but it is incredibly easy to start playing it. It will not obstruct you to create playing conditions for your younger self; unless you'd be a detriment to it, in which case I don't think you'd be able to get into the ecto lab at all. My point is, nod your head, move along. If you feel too baffled, invite a friend over.

Our session has 12 people, all adults if that matters, and I believe our session ID is 478229. Our Heir of Light player is not a native English speaker. They can read and write in English decently, but speech is not very easy for them to comprehend. We all set our preferred language to English in the settings, and they selected their native language. However, all consorts aside from theirs are stuck speaking in English, and we haven't been able to get subtitles on. Is there a translation option?

The Session Host (usually the first Server Player) should have access to the Session Settings and in the "co-op" there should be a ticked box "audio fidelity". Untick that and everyone will hear all sounds i their preferred language.

Note that once you reach the Underworld, you will understand the Angels' screeching, which results in high Angelight Charge.

It's not a default Doom thing. Even if it was, which it once again isn't, you wouldn't need them. Okay? Okay.

I think my session got mixed up with someone else's, somehow? All of my friends I was going to play with disappeared when I entered, and apparently, I replaced one of these, uh... things' friends. I can't read anything in-game since their writing system makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If this is supposed to be a thing please send a translation guide so I can maybe ask them to not try to kill me with their bigass swords

Toggle on the universal translator in the Settings -> Language -> Accessibility.

so... quick question, is there any way to get captchalogue codes out of sprites?

I had some cybernetics, it ate them to produce a cybersprite. this is fine, the problem is it took my arm in the process and I'd like that back.

Nope. No mechanic for that. Once it is in the Sprite, it is absorbed completely.

Good news is that loot equipment prioritizes what you need, so an arm prosthetic is almost guaranteed as a reward for the first Dungeon you get to.
