ever since f(x) debuted lily was a huge fan of sulli

when she was a trainee she admired sulli so much and talked to her whenever she could

sulli became very fond of her and they kept in touch often after sulli left f(x)

they loved each other so much and gave each other support

lily always was angry with the company and netizens for being hateful/not defending such a beautiful soul

she always talked about sulli’s solo album and LOVED the tracks

goblin was a MASTERPIECE in lily’s eyes

she knew her friend was hurting and tried doing all she could for her

when sulli passed lily was a wreck

she didn’t speak about it publicly out of respect for sulli and because she wanted to grieve privately

dorothy is one of her favorite songs but now she cries when she hears it

(a/n: i unfortunately became as big of a fan of sulli after her passing. i loved goblin when it released, but i never stanned f(x) and i liked her a lot since she dropped her solo album. i hate the way she was treated and sadly only became aware of exactly how beautiful her soul was when she left this earth. i know she is at peace and resting now. i love you, sulli. rest happily, my beautiful peach🤍)

Did you think it was never going to happen? Did you think the winter would never end? Did you think you were doomed to an eternity without baseball, that the offseason would never end and baseball players would never take the field again? 

I mean, it’s possible. Just imagine: What if there was a very specific rapture-type ... thing ... and only the baseball players were taken from the world? I mean, it’s about as unlikely as a real rapture, but I suppose possible. Or what if there was a hiccup in the system and everyone overnight forgot what baseball even was ... except for one man. Again, a terrible idea, but before you tell me how dumb it is, remember that was the plot for “Yesterday” -- a movie I never saw and hope I never will. 

But anyway, even those fears are unfounded. Because baseball is back. Players are playing. Yermin Mercedes is hitting home runs, a guy named Cody Thomas is robbing home runs. It’s actually my favorite time of the year when the baseball is weird and relaxing and there are no stakes because everyone is just hanging out in the sun in Florida and Arizona. If there’s a heaven, I hope it’s like that.

I met her for coffee one morning and talked to her about the book and her love of Ken Griffey Jr. Check it out.
