do you ever think about the different ways dema and trench call for you?

like, dema calls for you in a way trench never will. it’s the home you can’t stomach to stay in but never want to leave. dema loves you in a suffocating way that has no escape, but trench loves you in a loud and colorful way. when dema calls, it’s hauntingly beautiful and you hesitate to cover your ears, but trench calls for you in an inviting melody that everyone joins in on. dema claws its hands into you and forces you to stay, but trench wraps you in a hug and is happy to welcome you. dema is glad it can scare you into staying because it’s scared of you leaving, but trench is glad to be so loving you never think about leaving. leaving dema feels almost like betraying someone close to you, or losing part of yourself, but being in trench with banditos is being surrounded by extensions of yourself, life flowing through all of you. trench is peace, and dema is fear.
