I can just imagine Hermitdak barging into Brightmoon castle and everyone is like "Who/What is that?!?" Then Adora says who he is and everyone is like "THAT'S YOUR DAD" With a smug Catra in the background.
Yeah basically catra climbs into the window of the room Adora is in and is like "Hey Adora, Hordaks mad"
And at that moment for comedic timing Glimmer teleports in and goes "There's some sort of bat vampire monster yelling your name Adora!"
And Adora goes "OH NO! DAD!"
To which everyone but Catra are just like "???"
Catra is laughing

What do you think are the differences that will happen in the Hordad au/Daddak au/Hermitdak au from the orginal series?
honestly it’s really hard to say fffff mostly cause like... I don’t see me making an actual “thing” outta it?? it’s more just an concept that will fade in and out with random ideas but not a solid story concept
#zuka replies#n-kin-ururu#daddak au#sorry this is a non answer fffff#Im just... not good at making actual like... stories....

AU where when Hordak finds baby Adora he channels his pre reboot self and goes "oh fuck well guess it's Dad Time"
What you are looking for is, at least in part, Hermitdak via @strawberryoverlord

So in Hermitdak AU since there's no Horde, that's means Light Spinner never used the Spell of Obtainment she modified that caused her to become Shadow Weaver and the magic leach/bitch she was in the series. So that means if they ever interacted she would actually good to Adora and Catra.
Nah she still sucks that's an inter universal constant.

In the hermitdak au, how will the princess prom go? Would Hordak go as Entrapta's plus one?
Hordak actually goes as Glimmer's plus one because Adora takes Catra and Bow goes with Perfuma and at this point they knoooow Hordak and Entrapta kind of have an awkward almost thing going on.
So there's big situational comedy drama regarding Bow trying to organize getting Hordak to go to Prom to meet Entrapta there.
Meanwhile Catra causes problems because she's a cat and Adora is chasing after her the entire time.

In Hermitdak does adora know hordak isn't really her biological dad? Also when Light Hope tells Adora how she got to Etheria does she go to Hordak to tell her how exactly he got her?
Well so Adora didn't grow up in an environment where Biological and Non Biological parents are differentiated. Hordak's just dad.
When she finds out she's not from Etheria she does confront Hordak on it though yes.

I had a thought that Hemitdak AU of Adora yeeting Prime out of Hordak's body would give us a quick montage of Hor-Dad raising two girls, one of which has just saved the universe.
@strawberryoverlord and I have both just been like "Oh man oh jeez" when it comes to that scene and Hermitdak.
That's already such a huge moment but in Hermitdak AU it would be... Actually everything. Just so much.

What would Scorpia's story be in the Hermitdak au. What does she do, does she meet Catra, does she go to Princess Alliance meetings?
Good questions.
The Scorpion kingdom is a half developed plot point with Shadow Weaver causing trouble and manipulating the royalty and stuff.
Also Bright Moon is kinda shitty to them which is how Shadow Weaver even got her slimy stink hands into their political cheese platter.
Scorpia is Princess but I think she's actually disconnected from the Garnet for reasons here too. She does meet other princesses and such but it's all very cordial.
Which she doesn't like because she's a big sweety and wants to be people's friends.
We didn't decide on what's up with her and Catra but an arc where Catra is in the kingdom separated from Adora and befriends scorpia could be actually really fun.

In all seriousness though, how involved with the whole "being the antagonists" thing are Scorpia's moms? Are they mostly unwilling observers in the stuff the scorpion king is doing, or are they enthusiastically participating? Or something in between?
Very few people in the scorpion kingdom would consider themselves antagonists. Scorpia's mom's trend a lighter touch to things than king does though.
The Scorpion Kingdom and its vassals have legitimate grievances with Bright Moon and other Kingdoms. It's just evil machinations are pushing action perhaps farther than they should.

In the Hordad au/Daddak au/Hermitdak au, what would the problems be on Etheria and adventures Adora and her friends go on since the Horde isn't a problem? Also, what adventures would Hordak go on with Adora?
Hermitdak AU the First One Elemental problem is notably worse. That's a whole thing right there.
There's also a lot of just, tension, because Ruby and I have gone with the idea that things were already tense between Scorpion kingdom and Bright Moon (possibly because of bigotry toward non standard humanoids on Bright Moons part.) Also Shadow Weaver lives in the Scorpion Kingdom so that's a whole thing.
So really there's just a lot more smaller things going on than any single big thing.
As for Hordak and Adora adventures...
Honestly anything Adora seriously asked him to help with would be on the table. If he heard she was in trouble he'd cross the planet to help her too.
On Hordak's side of things, he's kinda just into doing chores and tinkering, so...

I have been thinking of the Hermitdak AU of how Hordak would react of Adora being She-Ra and what he would say when he barged into Brightmoon castle mcpissed, giving Adora his 2 cents.
Oh man we have thought about this.
Hordak kind of side eyes the sword and the She-Ra thing but he doesn't get like... Mad at her for being She-Ra. He intimately understands being something without it being your choice.
He's not a fan but he lets her go pursue her destiny.
However, what he does get McPissed about, is when Adora finds the sword she totally vanishes for a day because she gets taken back to Brightmoon. She's supposed to check in!
So anyway Hordak goes to Brightmoon to get his kid back and is all angry and gets arrested and Adora has to bail him out of guest room jail.
Catra finds this hilarious.

I know is not the focus of the AU but still wanted to ask. Do you think Entrapdak can be a thing in the Hermitdak AU? I also think it would be funny to see how Adora and Catra react.
It's super a thing.
Adora is weird about it at first but it grows on her.
Catra would have been weird but teasing Adora over it takes priority so she ends up all for it.

1. Would Hermitdak get past the guards or would he be pinned down. 2. Would Hermitdak first stand up straight and stare at Adora with Parental disappointment then lecture her later or immediately lecture her in front of everybody? Also would he tell off Catra a little bit for enjoying the mayhem so much?
1. He'd overpower the guards but then Micah would use magic to pin him.
2. He'd just be so glad she's alright. He'd lecture her later.

can we have some wholesome dad-dak/hor-dad hermitdak pretty please?
"Come on Hordak don't be such a slowpoke!" Catra teases as she walks ahead of him. She's carrying her own load of wood, branches mostly. Adora is walking beside her hefting her own, larger, haul. Hordak walks behind them, carrying a large bulk of the tree they felled together today over his armored shoulders.
"Would you care to trade cargo?" He asks with a small smirk.
"Heck no! That would squish me!" Catra declares.
Adora gasps "Catra! You can't say heck!"
"You just said it!" Catra shoots back with a laugh.
Hordak has to refrain from letting himself laugh at their antics. They really probably shouldn't be saying heck but the fact is they've done good work today. Hordak brought them along to gather wood, originally just to make sure he could keep an eye on them. They had helped though, wanting to get in some chops, helping split the cargo into manageable bundles.
They're lucky, unique. They'll find that out someday. The Whispering Woods doesn't let most people cut down the trees. Hordak and the girls aren't most people though. Hordak has learned over his many years here how to listen, and he taught the girls in turn. Let the woods tell you what you're allowed to take, and only take that. Otherwise things get weird.
It would be creepier to hear the woods whisper in his mind if Hordak wasn't already used to having a psychic presence manifest in his conciousness. The woods are admittedly better than his brother though. They keep to themselves.
The journey back to the cabin is long, and clearly tiring for the girls. Despite Catra's teasing of Hordak's slow and steady march they actually do have to take a few breaks that Catra pants and moans about being hungry through. She likes to complain but she always does what needs doing. The moment they're home however the girls both collapse right onto the floor.
"You can't sleep on the floor." Hordak says. "You also need dinner first."
Adora groans. "my feet hurt!"
"yeah! My everything hurts!" Catra adds.
The bitter irony of that makes Hordak smirk. "Pick yourselves up, go wash up and change into your sleepwear." Hordak says simply, moving to the little kitchen area to see what he can make for them. As the girls groan to their feet and trudge off Hordak decides to simply fry some of the meats he has frozen for them. A treat. They've earned it.
They did good work today.
"Since we got so much of the haul back in one trip today we can leave later tommorow!" Hordak declares as he cooks.
Adora peaks back out. "Really?!"
He hears Catra let out a "I forgot we had to go back!"
Hordak nods to Adora. "Really. We won't need as many trips. So, we can sleep in tommorow." He smiles up at her.
Adora's eyes gleam. "Really!?" She asks again, louder.
Hordak chuckles and just nods.
"Catra we get to sleep in! On a chores day!"
As the two girls are suddenly re-energized at the promise of future laziness Hordak is busy plotting out his day. There's still plenty to be done, of course, and he had planned on their help giving him time to do it all but...
If he wakes up a bit early himself he'll have time to make it all work while letting them sleep in.
Good work should be rewarded.

In the Hermitdak AU, how different would Horde Prime be or his method of attacking and manipulating Adora since Hordak raised her?
He's just... Worse.
Like man he's just worse.
I haven't talked to Ruby enough about Prime in hermitdak but like, he's worse.
