We were finally able to have session last week after a lot of scheduling conflicts and I'm back on my Strahd-drawing bullshit xD

I’m not playing Sims today, at least not till the evening. Today is for writing! Buuut first I’m gonna procrastinate by sharing more pics of my game lol

So remember my outdoorsman? Well, I made him a long time ago just to have someone to play with outside. Then I rediscovered the Moomins, and kind of as a joke I looked through CAS to see if I had a green hat and... I did. So I put it on him and guess what, now he’s just Snufkin xP

He used to camp in the woods, but since i had a Snufkin, I decided to go ahead and make the Moomins too... and also Moominhouse... They are human!Moomins, which isn’t my thing, but I can’t get custom content to work in my game so unless I wanted to put them in that horrible Yeti costume and have Yeti!Moomins... nah, human!Moomins is better.

My inspiration to make them was actually finding this is cottage living debug:

Moominmamma’s handbag! lol. It’s actually the handbag Agnes Crumplebottom uses to beat the crap out of you if you try to flirt with her, I believe xD It’s just decor like this, but putting it in the hall makes me happy haha.

I forgot to take a pic of Moominhouse -__-; It was really hard to make though. It needed to be narrow to seem tall, but if it’s too narrow then the sims have trouble routing around. In the end it’s an octagon-shaped house (no circles in sims :P) 6 wide on each side. I had to make the walls medium-height in order for the house to seem tall instead of just squat, even with three floors. And honestly it still needs more height, but the windows and furniture already look a bit weird with medium height walls so this is my compromise.

I still rather like it tho. The inside is a lot of mostly empty guest rooms of course. I tried to make the Room for Everything but think I’ll probably delete it because it’s just too much stuff to load. But anyway I forgot to take pics so that’ll have to come later.

This is the bridge. Originally I wanted to get a bridge from debug to have something that looks nicer, but everything in Cottage Living was just way too big. There might be a smaller bridge that would work in a  different pack so I might change this some time, if I remember.

The veranda~ with a path leading to the chicken coop because they keep chickens now haha. It’s hard to see but there is a sun dial there too, that’s in place of the crystal ball. I have used those geode things as crystal balls with other sims but eh... I liked the idea of the sun dial.

And this is Snufkin’s camp by the river. The trouble with is that now he’s living on a lot with other sims, they steal his tent all the time x’D Like one time he went camping in the woods and when he woke up, no sooner had he walked out of the tent than a vampire POOFED right behind him and went inside it and I couldn’t get her out! I just had to wait around until she left to collect it! Lol! But you know what that’s actually book accurate, like in November the Hemulen just decides he’s gonna sleep in the tent and Snufkin’s like “...” and sleeps outside without a word x’D So I mostly just find it funny.

By the way, when you wake up after sleeping in a tent you get this:

Which is really sweet and all, but when I got it this time it came after waking up in a thunderstorm. Not so peaceful. But wait, we like thunderstorms, you say? Sims don’t:

This is the guy who delivered the groceries. Roasted on the spot. Sorry for calling you out in bad weather dude haha.

And not thirty seconds later, Moominmamma gets struck by lightning as well... so did a bunch of furniture.

Sims thunderstorms are no joke, you guys :P

And yeah, of course I made this a Snufmin game, who do you think I am?

I mean, this is like a fanfic summary, isn’t it? XDDD

Last, just a couple pics of how lovely Cottage Living stuff is.

Look at the texture on this table! I love the creases! Everything looks so beautiful in the sunlight (too bad it’s often cloudy lol)

Also obsessed with the spots on the turtles, gah, so adorable.

This is a pretty fun pack if you like cottagecore. The one thing I’ve noticed is that the Creature Keeper in my game is perpetually in a bad mood. Every time I see him he’s uncomfortable/sad/tense. For someone who’s supposed to be the benevolent keeper of the forest type, he doesn’t seem at all peaceful haha
