Hopefully this list is helpful for beginners in building up some vocabulary that might not be in their textbook!

玫瑰 rose (开了 is often used to refer to a flower blooming in conjunction with this)

眼睛 eye （sometimes just 眼 will be used)

紧张 （緊張）nervous/anxious

香水 perfume/cologne

回头 （回頭） look back/turn around

吻 a kiss/to kiss

干嘛 （乾嘛）why/what on earth (are you doing)

罪 crime/sin/guilt

It's not studying related post, but I just wanted to encourage all of you to go on walks if you can! Here we are in yet another lockdown and long walks have been keeping me sane since the first one in March.

Its a great physical activity that helps to clear your mind and also allows you to find new interesting places in your area (believe me I live in boring industrial city, there is nothing to see but still I manage to find something that catches my eye)

I’ve totally slacking off on the learning Mandarin front :(

I did manage to watch a few chinese dramas though. I thought I’ll do a song vocabulary list for a song from the drama Unrequited Love. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can try watching it there. The song is called 谜底(mi1di3, meaning solution to a riddle) by  魏哲鸣 (wei4 zhe2 ming2). Here’s the link to a lyric video.

Hello! I'm back! I'm on vacation till February so I'm studying chinese at the moment and in one week I'll start preparing for an exam I have on mid February. Here trying to learn some basic things I don't know in chinese.
