Natural pigments on Japanese mulberry paper. Nihonga style.
"Senju is one of the few modern masters of the thousand-year-old Nihonga style of painting, which emphasizes traditional Japanese techniques and materials."
"Senju began exploring the waterfall image almost 20 years ago. Evoking a deep sense of calm, his waterfalls conjure not just the appearance of rushing water, but also its sound, smell and feel.
Senju explains: "By pouring paint from top to bottom, I have been painting not the illusion of the waterfall, but creating the waterfall itself."
~ from "Out of Nature: Cliffs and Falling Water," Sundaram Tagore Gallery, Hong Kong. September 23 - November 10, 2009.

Clan Secrets-verse (5) Hashirama Senju.
Alright! Hashirama Senju and his family/descendants in Clan Secrets-verse! Let's go!
So as you know if you read my earlier posts then you know what Hashi/Mito marriage is about. If you didn't read it then you should also understand everything but for your own enjoyment I recommend reading the rest of this series.
Let's dive right in!
Hashirama died at the age of 58 years old of an unknown sickness. At the time, the first shinobi war had been raging for around a year. Death date: 16th of June, 44 years before Kyubi Attack. He did live to know his first three out of four grandchildren.
Before he died Hashirama had father a son, Kazuya Senju, born 25th of January, 74 years Before Kyubi Attack. Kazuya married Anaurel Uzumaki (who coincidentally was the sister of Karin's grandfather). They had two daughters.
The older one - Lura Uzumaki (going by the Uzumaki name because of the Senju Purge, will be explained more at a later date), born 15th of May, 44 years Before Kyubi Attack. She was 9 years old when Anaurel was killed at the start of Second Shinobi War. Kazuya died a year after his wife. He was 42 years old, his wife 41.
Lura was then raised by her grandmother Mito. She would go on to become a shinobi and meet her husband Hatama Kurama. She would become pregnant 26 years Before Kyubi Attack, giving birth to her only daughter - Hiromi Uzumaki. Lura would die shortly after childbirth because of exhaustion and lingering grief of her husbands death. Lura Uzumaki died at the age of 18 years old, death date: 6th of January 25 years Before Kyubi Attack. Hatama Kurama died at the age of 18, 3rd of March 26 years Before Kyubi Attack.
Their only daughter - Hiromi Uzumaki would go on to be raised by her great-grandmother Mito with the help of her aunt who was ten at the time and her uncle Hiroshi Senju who was Mitos 'bastard' child with her lover (see Hashi/Mito marriage for explanation). Hiromi would then go on to become an excellent shinobi (i will no say anything else about her because I will be writing a work about her life on AO3, so stay turned for when I will up date it).
Now back to Kazuyas second daughter, Hiromis aunt. Kushina Uzumaki 10th of June, 35 years Before Kyubi Attack. She was two when her mother died, and three when her father was killed. She was basically raised by Mito and would go on to be come the Jinchuriki of Kyubi at the age of 15. She would at some point merry Minato Namikaze and die at the date of Kyubis Attack, protecting and leaving behind her only child, Naruto Uzumaki.
As for Narutos life. To be honest I haven't gotten around to cementing his story yet? I mean at the moment everything (almost everything) is the same as cannon but that can change in the future. And I have been changing the cannon since the Sage of Six Paths times so yeah. I'm covering around two hundred years worth of story telling and I haven't gotten around to creating post-kyubi-attack aspect of Clan Secrets-verse. We will see where I go with this and decide then.
For now I think that's it? I mean I haven't covered Mitos child nor her lover and everything but I was thinking about making it just another separate post. Let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer them.
