"The Royal Sentai, Donbrothers and Kyoryugers are going to get wild during this year's Golden Week!!"

The annual Super Sentai VS series will be released as a double feature for the first time ever this year! "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger" will face off against two major legendary Sentai, "Avataro Sentai Donbrothers" and "Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger." The battles take place in the Land of Death, Hakabaka, and on Earth, where Gira has become the new Uchu King……?! The original cast has also gathered in numbers, as the King-Ohgers, Donbrothers, and Kyoryugers face a new battle!

King-Ohger VS Donbrothers Story: Kitou Haruka and the other Donbrothers are sent by chance to Shugoddam, a kingdom in Chikyu, a planet in a corner of the universe. They interact with the kings of each country, however……Furthermore, Momoi Tarou also visits Shugoddam to deliver something to Gira.

King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger Story: Kiryu Daigo and Utsusemimaru set off to space in pursuit of Dagded, who has invaded Earth. Daigo brings Prince back from the future world, but the future is changed by the effect of time space alteration. They arrive in the Chikyu multiverse. There, not only does Gira become the Uchu King, but the conditions and ranks of the other kings have changed as well……

Takada Masashi Interview Suit Actor for KyoryuBlue, KijiBrother, ZenkaizerBlack and Spider Kumonos among others. He also played multiple police officers, including Asada Keisuke, and the Shugoddam knight in King-Ohger.

Takada Masashi, who has worked as a Suit Actor in numerous Super Sentai series, made his debut as a hero in "Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger." 10 years have passed since then……Takada, who in recent years has left a strong impression not only as a hero, but also as an actor, will play "five roles as one person" in "King-Ohger VS Donbrothers. Furthermore, in "King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger," which will be screened at the same time, he'll play the same KyoryuBlue as he did 10 years ago. We asked him about his thoughts on this double feature and the TV series, which can be called the "Takada Festival."

"Unlike cast members whose roles are decided by auditions, Suit Actors like Takada-san are often nominated for "this role." Takada-san, when playing the role of a hero, how do you prepare for it?"

Takada: I ask the Producers what kind of character they're looking for during costume fitting for the suit or during still photo shoots. Since it's several months before we film the show, some things may not be decided at that stage, so we work on it gradually. I get an idea of what the role will look like by listening to how the script is progressing, and then I'll consult with the Action Director based on that and think about what kind of performance would best suit the character while creating the role.

"You sometimes get an idea of the character while filming, right?"

Takada: Of course. Sometimes we meet the cast members playing the pre transformed roles only after filming has started. They watch our performance during the recording for the dub, but we don't know what kind of voices they'll use until the broadcast. Some information is learned only after the broadcast starts, so I update my image each time I go out to shoot a scene.

"Before getting into King-Ohger VS Donbrothers and King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger, which will be screened during Golden Week, we'd like to ask you about your memories of the TV series. First, Takada-san was the motion capture actor for KijiBrother in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. In order to play the role of KijiBrother, who's depicted in CG, for the motion capture, were you required to act differently from the other actors?"

Takada: It was all new to me, and I was fumbling my way through it with Okada Kazuya, who played the role of InuBrother. In a normal Sentai, we all act together in front of the cameras, but in Donbrothers, it was just me and Okada acting in separate locations. Because of that, I wasn't able to get a sense of distance between myself and the actors in the background, nor was I able to act while being aware of the camera's position. The line of sight was especially difficult, and I had to do retakes many times. However, I don't think I had that much trouble, as compared to KijiBrother, who flies through the air, it seemed to be more difficult as InuBrother, who literally has his feet on the ground, At the same time, Suzuki Hirofumi-san was saying his lines in a way that felt as if he was actually talking on set. When he said things like "Miho-cha~n!" he would create the kind of "pause" that's typical of Kijino (laughs). Then, before the dub recording, I'd tell the recording artist what kind of lines he'd be saying, and when Suzuki-san heard this, he'd add a voice that matched my movements during the recording. Such a thing was very KijiBrother coded.

"Did you play the role of ZenkaizerBlack differently than when you played Zenkaizer in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger?"

Takada: In the end, they never revealed who he was (laughs). In Zenkaiger, he said something like "Chou-wah!" all the time, so I thought their character development wouldn't be the same. Before Goshikida Kaito transformed, he would just read books and say things like, "I have it (aruyo)" in a nonchalant tone, so I was aiming for the image of a mysterious hero who doesn't do anything.

"In addition, you played the role of the police officer Asada Keisuke in Donbrothers. At first, we thought you were just playing the role of a police officer, but when he was given the name Asada, he began to leave a strong impression on viewers."

Takada: Actually, the name Asada was chosen when I asked Komura Junko-san (Scriptwriter for Lupinranger VS Patranger), "Did you have any rejected ideas for Asaka Keiichiro's name?" That's because, for me, Asada Keisuke is like the alter ego of Patren1gou/Asaka Keiichiro. Just as Keiichiro was chasing LupinRed, Asada was chasing Inuzuka Tsubasa. So, I was acting with exactly the same intensity as when I was playing Patren1gou. However, it was a pleasant miscalculation that he appeared more frequently. There was a detective named Sayama who was chasing Inuzuka, but he turned into a Juto……I found myself appearing in more scenes than Saito Kenya-kun and Fujita Yohei, both who played Sayama's subordinate detectives. In addition, on the set, I kept saying to Assistant Producer Matsuura Daigo-kun, "This police officer is Asada Keisuke," and then he wrote in the script, "Also known as Asada Keisuke." It made me happy. You could say this is my win (laughs).

"In Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger, Takada-san served as the Suit Actor for Spider Kumonos. How did you prepare for this role?"

Takada: Ikeda Masashi-kun, who plays Jeramie, appeared in the first episode as the narrator, so I knew his way of speaking even before he started acting. That's why, based on my understanding of his vibe before transforming, I was able to work with the Directors during costume fitting to match my image. Based on Ikeda-kun's vibe, I tried to create a cool yet noble aura in my performance. As an additional warrior, his weapons are different from those of other heroes, so I was conscious of making him able to perform actions that require alot of effort.

"Takada-san has wide shoulders, so what kind of gestures did you keep in mind when playing the same role as Ikeda-san, who's more slender?"

Takada: Ikeda-kun doesn't close his legs when he acts, but I always close my legs to give the impression that I'm slim. In episode 28, the swapping episode, Sakai Taisei-kun, who had been watching my performance, acted by closing his legs like Kumonos, and without thinking I told him, "You don't have to do that! I just look big when I open them." Another thing I do is mutter "otto" every time we film (laughs).

"Kijino said, "Miho-chan," while Jeramie said, "otto" to create a pause (laughs)."

Takada: Ikeda-kun's "otto" is useful to create a pause during conversation. I also incorporated it into Kumonos.

"Now then, in King-Ohger, Takada-san played the role of an unmasked knight. What was your impression of this?"

Takada: In the first episode, I played a mean role. I thought, "I don't like this" (bitter smile). He had a forceful attitude toward the citizens, didn't he? I thought that I'd like to appear in the second episode and beyond, since he seemed like such a big deal. The children threw rocks and other junk at him and he ran off pathetically, so I guess he wasn't such a bad guy. Anyway, I was careful not to make the viewers hate him. Thanks to their support, I've had the opportunity to appear on several occasions since then, carrying Gira's coffin and doing some action with Douga-san, and you can see that he's quite a high ranking soldier in Shugoddam. I found that part interesting as I performed. The person who let me appear was usually Director Hiroyuki Kato. I have nothing but gratitude to Director Kato.

"Although he made a guest appearance in King-Ohger, Takada-san's first role as a hero in the Super Sentai series was KyoryuBlue in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. How did you plan to play KyoryuBlue 10 years ago?"

Takada: I had heard that he was the only character making old man jokes. Additionally, he's a power fighter. That being said, I think I started preparing for the role with the idea that I could play it without thinking too much about being a hero. However, because we were on Sakamoto Koichi's team, we had to work hard on the action. That's why I had been practicing with Kinjo Yamato-kun, who plays the role before transforming, even before filming began. There are some parts that I'm alittle embarrassed about watching now, but it was a time when I loved muscle training, so my body was nice and toned.

"The characters played by Takada-san will be appearing all at once in VS Donbrothers and VS Kyoryuger. Especially in Director Kato's VS Donbrothers, where he played four roles."

Takada: I played both heroes and characters, so I was the only one who had perfect attendance during filming (laughs). Director Kato also said, "Takada-kun, you're so much fun to have around, so I included you in the entire filming schedule." I've already got a cozy relationship with the Director! (laughs). Shortly before filming began, I happened to meet Director Kato at a convenience store near Toei Studios and asked him, "Will the knight or police officer appear? There, I heard that I would be playing several roles by myself and was told, "You're going to be busy~," but it seems that ZenkaizerBlack's appearance was decided at the last minute……I unexpectedly ended up with five roles (laughs). Of course, I couldn't act alone in the scenes where all the members are assembled, so I sometimes had to rely on substitutes, but this was a rare opportunity, so I had alot of fun filming it.

"Takada-san, when you were yourself, what were you most conscious of while working on VS Donbrothers?"

Takada: The police officer and knight both have the same face, don't they? They're different people, but when Inuzuka, being chased by Asada, wanders into the world of King-Ohger, he finds the knight there. The question then became what kind of interaction would take place with Inuzuka and Sononi. It was fun to play the role, and I thought about how to make it more enjoyable. Director Kato also seemed to be very impressed.

"You play the role of KyoryuBlue in VS Kyoryuger, but did you notice any differences from 10 years ago?"

Takada: It was around last Summer I think…..before we filmed the collaboration episodes for King-Ohger, that I heard a rumor that there was going to be a V-Cinext. So, my first thought was, "If I don't do muscle training, my suit will be too baggy!" There was a sense of crisis. When I was filming Kyoryuger, I did muscle training every day, so I was very bulky. I tried to get close to that, but was shocked when I didn't turn out at 100%. Also, I've been doing this for 10 years now, and the action has gotten alittle better, so the dull feeling from back then doesn't really come out. Now, I aim for quick action with alot of moves, but back then I put alot of effort into each shot. So, I slowed down alittle and put more power into each shot.

"VS Donbrothers and VS Kyoryuger, in which you can also enjoy Takada-san's struggles, will finally be screened. These are productions where you can enjoy Takada-san's acting throughout their entirety."

Takada: Taisei and the others may have more roles, but in terms of the number of roles, I'm number one (laughs). I hope you enjoy the differences between Asada and the knight, but I also hope you don't miss the Kyoryuger's activities, which haven't changed in the past 10 years. Only Ofuji Naoki-san, who played the role of KyoryuGold was unable to participate, but I think you'll enjoy "Kyoryuger" as an extension of the original, both before and after the transformations. I'd like you to pay attention to the action before the transformation, which is one of the strengths of Sakamoto's team. Director Kato's love for comedy shines through in VS Donbrothers, so I hope it'll make you laugh.

"These productions also unexpectedly follow the history of Takada-san's 10th anniversary as a hero in the Super Sentai series."

Takada: Thankfully, I've been given the opportunity to play the role of hero every year, and I've learned alot from every production. I think that because of what I learned from my veteran seniors, Fukuzawa Hirofumi-san and Takeuchi Yasuhiro-san, I've gained alot more experience in the field, which led to Donbrothers and King-Ohger.

"Do you have any plans for future appearances?"

Takada: I can't go into details, but "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger" will also have an episode by Director Kato, so there may be alittle surprise in store (laughs). I hope you enjoy VS Donbrothers and VS Kyoryuger, as well as Boonboomger!

Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger vs. Donbrothers/Kyoryuger MOVIE SPOILER

Somehow I feel like I went a little all out

Basically both story wasn’t that slow pace it was like totally immediate let get to the story if need recap it very simple and short. Both have a lot of references to main story. If I have to say Donbrothers was ridiculous but it fit them and Kyoryuger was a little more serious.

(If anything is wrong I apologize, also I tend to jusr comment at certain part as I am typing this so…yeah you can ignore them. If there is mistake in name sorry I wrote it after the show which was late.)

Kingohger Vs Donbrothers

It started with Jeramie narrating then it show the scene at Hakabaka where both team are facing off of course he mention they all dead.

Then it was Haruka turn to narrate and she mention they found themselves in this strange land and yes they are all dead.

Both of them narrate about wondering how it like it came to be like this…where it brings to Shungoddam.

Apparently Gira with the rest of his soldiers plus two Kuroko doing Mochi! Douga was like please try the mochi in which Gira ate it.

It just then Tarou appears saying he got a delivery for Gira who suddenly started choking on the mochi.

Douga was alarmed then Tarou tried help out as he put his hand into his mouth but say the mochi is like really stuck far inside of him. Douga push him away thinking he wasn’t helping. Then well Gira die…

So Tarou leave only to see Shugods (THEY WERE ALL THERE STACK ONTO ONE OF ANOTHER I DONT KNOW WHY BUT IT WAS SO CUTE) especially Kuwagon then he remembered Gii-Chan! (Haruka reminded people who Gii-Chan was that was Kabuto beetle who was his only friend)

Apparently he thought Gii-Chan could be here so he ask Bun if he know where he could find him. Bun say he could be in Hakabaka.

So Tarou lie that he hate Gii-Chan, (Haruka then explains that he cannot lie if not he die) so Tarou die.

Afterward it went back to Donbrothers world where Haruka and Sononi were trying to find inspiration for a manga. (If i remember correctly) they saw Tsubasa & Sonoza being chase by your truly (Takada Masashi!)

Only for accident to have happens where a lorry had hit into Minoru Ono (the guy who turn to Hitotsuki a lot)

Jiro, Saruhara & Kijino appears at the scene follow by the other four. (Takada) ask them to call ambulance apparently nobody had their phone. Suddenly Haruka got inspirational about Isekai that Minoru Ono suddenly got up & change into Ohsamaki then a door open sucking them all into it.

Tsubasa & Sonoza fell into Shugoddam then somehow Sonoza suggested they should start a new where nobody know them. Just when Tsubasa was about to agree, a Shugoddam solider appeared (Takada again 😂) then say they are criminal. Apparently they are wanted in Shugoddam (apparently someone look like them?) so they ran.

Scene change to where Yanma & Jeramie were at N’Kosopa. Yanma had ask Jeramie to read a book only to get prank as he open it only to be punch. (Like jack in a box) Jeramie swear he get his revenge only for Saruhara to appears out of nowhere.

He ask them where he is, Yanma answer him but he conclude he shouldn’t think so much about it. He did a Haiku only for Jeramie to be impressed.

Both of them were like getting all buddy up leaving Yanma to be clueless what going on.

Move on to the next scene whereat Ishabana it reveal Himeno & Rita are watching a new Moffun episode? Movie? Rita was too moved by it and Himeno was concern. Funny thing both Haruka & Sononi were observing them and they intro themselves.

Then somehow Haruka & Rita got into fight about Moffun & Sononi was on Rita’s side but Himeno was on Haruka’s side.

Ohsamaki appears in between the arguments but no one pay attention to him.

Cut to where Jiro had somehow force his way to see Kaguragi to ask where is he. Only for them to be taken back on each other appearance (Mostly their muscles 😂) they were impress with each other body.

Then next was were it show Kijino with Racles & Suzume. Apparently I think Racles was telling Kijino he probably from another world? Only for Kijino to freak out not being able to go back to his Miho.

Suzume was affected by it (like she can’t imagine being away from her love one) that she got too lovely with Racles who was like embarrassed trying to get her stop because they had a guest.

Kijino got overwhelmed despite saying he ok with it end up wanting to go back. Then Rackes suggested he find Kingohger. Also mention how it could help him then he show him on the little tv he had on the Kingohger mecha. It trigger poor Kijino’s memories (Episode 45 of Donbrother) about being defeat by it (he found it super scary) he practically broke out of the cell and run out.

Go back to Yanma Saruhara and Jeramie. Apparently the two were too preoccupied to realize Yanma put the lie detector on them. Then apparently they were commenting how they understood and appreciate their arts (basically Haiku and read btw the line) only to get electricity shock. Yanma was so proud of himself saying how there is no way they would agree with each other. That he didn’t realize that they had grab hold of him so he also got shock. That how they all die.

(From here I forgot which scene came first but yeah)

Cut back to Kaguragi & Jiro having a sumo match apparently…(They are both half naked 😆) Kuroda started the match then they clashed into each other. Only to knock each other off their feet and somehow…they both die.

Then it was in Ishabana the four of them were already knock out well killed (not sure how 😅) Ohsamaki mentions like he did something but I forgot. (Maybe delete scene would explain this?)

Kijino die due to the cold, Tsubasa & Sonoza die from falling because they were being chased and fell into a hole from the bridge when they weren’t paying attention to where they are running.

Back at Tarou and Gira, Gira blame Tarou for his death but he say it the mochi.

Soon the rest started appearing slowly…

Saruhara didn’t take it nicely that Jeramie actually didn’t like his Haiku? He pull Tarou aside saying they are enemies.

Jeramie was upset he didn’t read in between the line.

Apparently Jiro & Kaguragi pop up out of nowhere all set to redo their fight.

Then slowly the rest all appear where they took their place beside their group.

Then they started the fight.

Saruhara was fighting Jeramie & Yanma at N’Kosopa he commented it wasn’t fair 2 vs 1. Afterward Kijino came to back up & he was talking about how horrible the King-Ohger mecha was 😂 (Poor guy like traumatized)

Then in Ishabana Haruka & Rita were fighting while Himeno & Sononi and they were still fighting about Moffun.

In Tofuu Kaguragi & Jiro resume their sumo fight even while discard their weapon. At one point Jiro switch Torabolt then sort of surprised Kaguragi by jumping onto him.

Meanwhile…apparently Tsubasa & Sonoza were like ehhh what to do? Only for Ohsamaki to appears piss off nobody pay attention to him. He practically just stop all their fight forcing them back to where Tarou & Gira are fighting who then agree to postpone their fight to defeat Ohsamaki.

Just before they can start the fight Zenkaizer Black appears saying he got something nice. Reveal the parcel (that Tarou supposed to deliver?) it was crown that spilt into two. Thus allowing them to power-up. (Kaitou just disappear afterwards 😅)

They both started laughing…and laughing and laughing until Tarou tell him to stop.

Tarou then told his group they are going to do their roll call? It not really roll call more like just stating their group name (which I don’t remember what term it was…since usually they do roll call with it 😅) Apparently they were on their usual Tower while funny the Kings were watching from below.

Then Gira wanted to show off also their group however he got totally ignore…Donbrother went straight to battle and the rest of the King join in that Gira gave up and went with them to fight.

Back in the Donbrother world Minoru woke up before (Takada) gave him mouth to mouth 😂

After the fight was over, they didn’t feel like fighting. Like there was some misunderstanding between them. Then somehow Jeramie was like we should like get along & make up or something like that however nobody was in the mood or wanted too. Much to Gira surprised & it was hilarious they all just disappear back into living world leaving Gira & Tarou by themselves.

Both of them wander a bit longer until they saw Oden stand and when they enter…Sonoi greeted them.

(Yes everyone…IT SONOI HE APPEARED!)

Both of them ask Sonoi what they wanted to do one is find Gii-Chan another is to go back to land of living.

So of course Sonoi questions them he didn’t give them an answers. They found it themselves then Sonoi asked what they wanted from Oden.

When they found it delicious they return back to land of living. Then it reveal by Sonoi actually Gii-Chan is really in Hakabaka.

Cut to Shungoddam, apparently all the Kings were around as Himeno was telling Bun he is only one who can take out the Mochi that stuck in Gira.

Once it was remove Gira came back to life then everyone went over to eat some Mochi. (Yanma was about to leave but Kaguragi stop him)

Then Tarou reappeared insisted on the delivery. Douga was like YOU AGAIN?!? (It was hilarious) Gira say it fine then went over to Tarou to accept it. Then I think Tarou said they made a bond? (They never reveal what in the box but I think is still the Crown)

Then credits started and somehow…Donbrothers are like sight seeing the other countries 😂 also there was small part in Donbrother world along with Suzume & Racles! (Don’t remember the order so I am just going to say all scene credit scene)

Credit show that Minoru & (Takada) talking then Murasame just swing by them (If you can watch back in beginning he appears in the crash under one of the tire from the Lorry, the director mentions it)

Suzume & Racles were having lunch? Dinner? Suzume fed Racles then she was like hinting to him to feed her too. Racles tried but couldn’t then admit he can’t yet Suzume kept hinting waiting to be fed. (They are very cute 😆)

N’Kosopa apparently they saw Tsubasa & Sonoza wanted poster being showcase. They were just walking on the bridge.

Ishabana Saruhara was trying write a Haiku under the Sakura only for Haruka & Sonoza to push him away to show off their dresses.

Tofuu they were offer a feast tons of food.

Gokkan…apparently they were playing with the seat like it a swing 😂🤣 Rita scream in frustration. Tarou apologized and apparently Kijino was snowball for some reason…

Then they were back at Shungoddam where they had a lot of like Souvenir before saying they could give it to Kyoryuger (I was like EHHHH they probably same more stuff but I blank out)

Kingohger Vs Kyoryuger

I am going to comment it was confusing 🤣 jump here and there the timeline. However it EXPLAINS a lot of some plot hole in the main series.

It started with where Uchu Gira were about to execute Yanma, Himeno, Rita, Kaguragi and Jeramie. He was like demanding the people who causing trouble for him to appear.

Soon King appeared then transformed and Uchu Gira did the same. Utsusemimaru was watching then knew he needed go back to Plezuon where Yayoi was waiting for him. Then Chikyuu look like it got destroyed?

I think they went back to their world then Utsusemimaru went to investigate because something was wrong.

Soon Utsusemimaru found out they were in future when Ami pull them aside and ask him to take Prince back into past like how King told her Utsusemimaru would appears to do that. (Of course Utsusemimaru was stunned by the news but overjoyed)

Once back at Plezuon, Yayoi was in totally disbelief of Prince being son of King & Ami (or she just don’t want to think it possible).

Then while Yayoi was doing necessary arrangements to go back in time, somehow Utsusemimaru end up interrupting her work. That they went through another time and Utsusemimaru sort of fell out.

It show he was in 100 years later…(Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: 100 YEARS AFTER)

Yayoi drops Prince off first while she go find Utsusemimaru.

Prince went off to find the rest but was clueless how to do so until the enemies attack. He tried to defend the civilians only for Souji to appears helping him out.

Prince was happy to see him then pass him a letter written by King his dad. Souji was definitely speechless but he did help train him.

It was reveals that King, Utsusemimaru and Yayoi were fighting Dagudedo then he took interest in King and made him apart of his collection. He captured King into amber stone (one like Shugods soul almost) then send both Utsusemimaru & Yayoi away. Just as Dagudedo decide to go back to Chikyuu (Ohsama’s World)

Apparently went Utsusemimaru finally got back, Ohsama already help Kyoryuger to defeat the enemy.

Utsusemimaru was so happy that when after they had send the Ohsama off. He hug Prince only for Prince to start fading away.

Utsusemimaru bring him back to Plezuon where Yayoi was thinking something happen to timeline or something. As Prince call out for his dad for help.

Utsusemimaru panic because he couldn’t save King that time and was upset at himself that he once again accidentally hit into Yayoi sending them to not sure what time.

It cut to Utsusemimaru in Shungoddam who was trying to find Dagudedo because of Prince. Then he witness Young Gira & Young Racles where Gira was eating Rainbow jururira. When Racles left, Gira was upset he finished it and wanted more Utsusemimaru took pity on him and somehow…found a whole tub of it (Where did he find it?!?) he gave Gira just as Yayoi call him back to tell him they are in the past to get back immediately.

Afterward they went back in time to Chikyuu 17 year later? Then somehow they saw an image where Young Gira lost control and grew up defeating Dagudedo on his own. While they were puzzle wha happens just as they arrive to their destination things aren’t what it seems to be.

Utsusemimaru & Prince were a bit at a lost then suddenly Jeramie suddenly appears asking if they were finding people apparently he was willing help them find them. Also He refer himself as Jera-Chi & apparently use a lot of English words. He told them to Come on like follow him.

First they went to N’Kosopa, the scene show Shiokara apparently piss at Yanma probably he did something wrong. Yanma wore his glasses then got onto his knee and was totally apologetic to him saying he will make up for it.

Jera-Chi explain Yanma wasn’t able to do well with technology then fail so he just scrapping through odd job that sort?

Next was Ishabana where it reveal that Himeno is flower girl. Apparently Himeno’s selfishness wasn’t like ignored so they didn’t let her do whatever she wanted she got thrown off throne thus she became a flower girl.

It shown she tried to sell a flower to Sebastian but he treated her coldly pushing her out of the way then she fell as her stomach growls she desperately decide to eat the flower since she can’t sell it. (Marie-San really ate it…)

In Gokkan, Jera-Chi say they like in for a treat as Rita was performing.

Rita step down of Saiban-Cho due to mental illness and became a top star in singing & dancing. They value their freedom a lot. (They felt super free)

Also yes they were performing Moffun song in different tone & dance. (We are so rob from getting actually Rita’s song 😭) it was like super elegant how they performed it they sang it in their usual character voice?

Morfonia became their biggest fan. Edit: She fainted after their performance 😅

In Tofuu

Kaguragi was hated by other country for his lie and deceiving he got overthrown then now do like rig Sumo match with his sister arranging it. (He can’t seem to escape Sumo 😂 both film has it)

Prince was totally at lost because they are all so strange. Then he mention about wanting to find Uchu which like Jera-Chi bring them (if I remember correctly I forgot this part)

They went back to Shugoddam where Gira appears with the other Uchu Jesters. Jera-Chi bow & refer to Gira as Gira-Sama

If I am not wrong Gira was apparently questioning who were Prince & Utsusemimaru. Then I think he was like curious why they were looking out for the four of them probably he thought they causing trouble somehow he reveal he had capture them. (Honestly this part I was a little blank out what happen 😅)

(Also I want to comment I wish they show their personalities moreeee like how they interact with each other but oh well…)

When thing was going grim King suddenly appear out of Minongan. Then he rescue Utsusemimaru & Prince by calling Yayoi to pick them up.

Once they regroup. Prince was totally fine, then Utsusemimaru & Yayoi was wondering how was King ok.

King reveals he had witness Ohsama defeat Dagudedo then he broke free of his amber when he heard Prince calling out for him.

He went to find Gira and requested for his help to get to Prince so he can help him (basically to find a way to dimension travel or something?) who suggested using Minongan even though there might be chance it won’t work. King just took it so he free Minongan and enter inside of him allowing him to reappear to save them.

Just as they were figuring out what made the Ohsama like this Yayoi reveals it due to Utsusemimaru’s fault for giving Gira too much Rainbow jururira to eat. (So yeah apparently if he ate a lot he definitely would have defeat Dagudedo but cost him his humanity)

King had a plan where he go find a way to help Ohsama get back to themselves, while Utsusemimaru go stop himself and Prince go find Gabutyra who their partner and needed for the battle

(This is where everything connect from the series 🥹 and where I forget which came first…TIME TRAVELING IS CONFUSING)

So yeah exactly what happens in Episode 40, why Prince went to find Gabutyra. Then why he hesitated in answer Gira question & him hugging him along with being the Nice evil King 🥲

Meanwhile it show back to where movie started but a bit different. Apparently Gira was telling them to like call out for the person help them out & they were desperately calling out to be saved (I swear all their acting is so good you can see how pitiful they look THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WERE CRYING 😱)

King reappears but this time prepared. He had the Venomix Shooter in his hand. (I can’t remember what he said but it was Wah before he shoot them)

He shot the Venomix Shooter at them producing like Spider-Web connecting them together. Apparently their memories were being revival from the shooter into them thus they went back to their normal self but Gira didn’t who kept saying he was Uchu.

(I forgot which part where Utsusemimaru did his part. Like was it after Gira say he Uchu then fighting against the Ohsama or after they had their say then back away)

Jeramie got ask King where did he pick it up, he mention that while he was looking for Gira. It was hinted that the moment he took it when in last episode Jeramie left it on his throne.

Soon something hit him in which Utsusemimaru did his part & stop himself. Apparently he had stop himself by scolding and slap himself.

The Kings knew it wasn’t enough they still had to help Gira so they just fight him. They all fought against him before holding him in place they all had something to say to him. (🥹) then Yanma’s line asking him to wake up Skapon Tanuki! They back away before using their Ohger Slash against him.

(Can I be grateful they decide to do this scene without them transform? 🥹)

The Ohger Slash knock some sense into Gira who laugh only to be clueless what happening.

While they are all relief he is alright they were finished. As apparently Uchu transform Gira appeared with the other Uchu Jesters.

If I am not wrong King-Ohger first transform and cool thing is they Ohgai Busou but haven’t transform yet. They fought the enemy while doing their roll call and only complete their transformation after they said their name. (IT WAS SO COOL)

Gabutyra reappear and change into a new weapon just as Jeramie’s Venomix shooter also.

Soon the other Kyoryuger appears they all transform (they definitely did their dance 😆) before FIRE. Then they did their roll call in transform mode.

Kyoryuger went into armour mode just as Jeramie shoot out his transform Venokix Shooter it gave the Ohsama all new weapons.

Then they proceed with the fight.

Then Torin appears to take over the fight along with Tessai & Ramiresu and they finally defeat him.

When King Prince and Gira defeat Uchu Gira. King & Prince combine their weapon to create a gun while Gira use the Kentrospiker

The battle end with Utsusemimaru apologizing for what he has done while Gira was like no hard feelings that sort. Then Gira was like asking Prince if he was see him again which he would.

King say definitely before pulling them together to look at the camera saying because they are Sentai

That Utsusemimaru thought he mess up again and when running back to find Yayoi 😂

You may think im joking but one of my genuine favorite Human Monster stories in toku is the fucking Santa Claus Maskman Hitotsuki from Donbrothers. Him regaining his faith in humanity genuinely moved me, it’s one of my favorite episodes of the show. Like honestly.

Why can't you count corn and sand?

So instead of making two separate posts I decided just to put these together since both AUs I'm making utilize this

Basically the enemies I'm planning for the Dustin/Hunter Ninja Storm AU and the Ninja Steel Rewrite AU is yokai. Since I'm paying homage to the ninja sentai seasons while crafting lore I decided to go with this idea.

Yokai like in real life are supernatural beings revolving around many themes and folklore. Here they can sprout from the negativity or strong emotions of the world, various ways for them to be born, heck maybe even instances of a human turning into one after death.

One things for sure is that no matter the origin they come into existence mainly from the Abyss of Evil which in the show was a prison for Lothor but here I'm elaborating more on said dimension. Some rifts from the abyss can open up in the mortal world allowing for yokai if strong enough to walk amongst the earth reading havoc or even latching onto a person as a vessel(similar to the Hitotsuki of Donbrothers).

Rifts can be rare but they have the possibility to open up all over the universe, some may influence different locations who knows🤷🏾‍♂️

Like the rangers and people in those universes yokai can utilize the power of ki(called karma in the Ninja Steel au) with the elements and their abilities.

There's also the Hanyo but I'll explain that later on, same with Galvanax, the abyss and other stuff like references to Kakuranger, Hurricaneger and Ninninger. But yeah I have lot's planned.

musing on it a bit, i think if there's any connection between the two, maybe dente's experiments involved harvesting other granutes' organs/dna to give shoma the ability to create familiars, and the hound granute was one of them, which left shoma with some residual memories that weren't his? but i could easily be way off

Rambles: Super Hero Senki Follow up ideas.

Been a while since I've done these so with a new year I figured I'd give this idea a shot to see how this would turn out. Been about a few years since we've had a Sentai/Rider Crossover movie and I did recall Shirakura stating that Senki would be the last of the movies and while it is nice to see that he kept his word, a part of me wonders what if they kept making more?

Now I know the crossover movies are a bit divisive, usually due to their not so great execution in storytelling or not understanding the characters. But I do believe in their being some good ideas that can be done with this idea, so decided to write out some ideas that come to me to figure out how I would handle these Super Hero War Crossover films. Normally would just stick to one but with it being a few years since, I'll go up to the previous Rider/Sentai seasons (with Gozyuger coming in a few months).

Normally I would just add (insert fanservice hero here and there) and just call it a day, but I want to be partially realistic since the Taisen films try their best to get whoever they're able to get for these crossover events. There is also the placement of where these movies would be chronologically, due to how these tend to air around Spting, Senki being the outlier as that one came out in the summer but that was due to Covid having them change up the schedule and would have the Summer films be their individual movies. So to make things simple, will have these films be around late April since a lot of the Summer films be around July.

Super Hero Senki Deluxe (Don Brothers/Revice)

Now this one was actually a little difficult to think of, especially cause there was so many anniversaries to choose from and was wondering what villain faction should be brought back, then remembered Senki introduced a new villain entirely. Though as I'm writing this, I did have this pop into my head, why not combine it? For original villains, I would combine both elements of the seasons at the time, with Don Brothers enemies being homages to classic Toei toku shows and Revice's villains being animal with origami influence.

upon researching, I decided to make this new villain to be based on the Golden Bat, which was adapted by Toei in the mid 60''s, Even interesting is that they do have someone they can call to design this suit, Keita Amemiya, since he originally drafted a Golden Bat remake before restructuring it into becoming GARO, maybe Toei can have Inoue ask since they're good friends, while planning things out a thought occurred to me, imagine the idea of the Golden Bat Villain being a Rider that is Crisper themed from the Saber/Revice crossover.

As for the secondary villain, based on the 2017 PR suit since they made their own version of the suit for the premiere in Japan. Was gonna have it be an entity that was sealed by the Noto, but actually had another idea, since we have Kaito in this universe, maybe this would be an alternate version of Juran, like our villain fights the Don Brothers but uses his ability to turn their version of Jurantyranno into this cybernetic opponent.

With our new villain pitched, What would be his plan? a simple one, make a new beast from Creation King (Black) and Dai-Satan (Zyuranger), fitting since both would have their anniversaries around this time, with Zyuranger being 30 and Black being 35, though like Senki, they can have our villain make two henchmen, that being a Revice Hitotsuki and Don Brothers Crisper. plus a few recreated generals much like the Saber/Revice movie's Devil Riders but not exclusive to just Riders. like Shadow Moon, Dark Red Buster, Scorpio, Space Ika Devil, Bat Dopant and Neo Grifforzar to name a few, with other monsters they have around.

We have been talking about the villains a lot, we should be focusing on the Heroes. by this point the Don Brothers would be introduced to their Robotaro abilities and Revice would reveal Kamen Rider Aguilera, could have a few of them interact, maybe Tsubasa gets a gear based on Evil and turns into him to help out Daiji who becomes Live (by this point Kagero is presumed dead). can see Aquillera fighting three duplicates of her Deadman companions, only to be saved by the Noto, who would not be on the villains side. as it goes against their methods, a bonus would be them recreating abilities of who they're based on, like Sononi using Condorman's ability for example.

Of course, we would bring back past heroes to try tying in to the themes and anniversary, like Double, Chameleon Green, Zenkai Juran (to tie back to the Zyuranger), Beast, Gokai Silver (granted we know now what the actor did but this would be around the time he didn't do anything so no one is aware), heck have him and George meet and discuss their favorite Sentai and Rider, though that also made me think of an idea, by this point they announced three upcoming projects, Fuuto PI, Black Sun and Shin Kamen Rider. Maybe George and Flint see the others are in trouble, they think of getting reinforcements, then the Don Brothers Kaito arrives with the idea of getting others from other worlds, like Gokai Silver meeting Akibared (who would be happy meeting an official Sentai on the big screen), Kyoryu Blue gets help from Dino Force Brave Black (since they share a VA), also High School Heroes to fight some of the Goranger themed monsters. As for Rider, we have Shinobi popping up helping Starninger, claiming to be the Rider of 2022, Shadow Moon would be surprised at the appearance of Black Sun, Shin Ichigo battes Space Ikadevil hearing his bike but surprised he looks different. We would have Double return, though unsure if the two would be able to reprie their roles, but the next thing would be getting their Seiyuu's from Fuuto PI to do the voices.

As for the climax, the villains combine the power to create Dai-King Satan, thus the Don Brothers fight it using Don Onitaijin, with Revi and Vice growing to T-Rex Genome to ride on and battle the big bad. Then you'd have the obligatory fan service of the main crew hanging out at the end, maybe having tea with the Revice crew or the Don Brothers enjoying the Hot bath.

Super Hero Royale Gran Prix: (King Ohger/Geats)

This one didn't have much issue since with Geats, it has to be a Gran Prix with a new villain taking over. thus adding not just Sentai members, but also Metal Hero members, think a mashup between SHTZ and CSHT but mix their elements. With this being around late spring, we would tease Legend King Ohger and Spider Kumonos had not been present yet, while Geats had Buffa win the round at the time. Ace would be around but wonder what happened, finding himself on King Ohger's planet and learning that this Gran Prix has gone to a galactic scale.

Villains were surprisingly difficult, was gonna have it be a new villain based on Zarigarna  from V3, another idea was making an enemy similar to Inazuman, but with Zerogo being a thing, I felt that would've been double dipping. Then an idea came to me, with the Metal Heroes involved, I decided to make it an anniversary theme, Would have a certain someone that Space Squad is looking for revive Reiko from Janperson, who thanks to a mysterious voice, learns about Helheim from Gaim and wants to use it for her goals of making nature bloom. to make things more tense, she is able to control Daijinryuu from Dairanger. With her being connected with Helheim, she could get a modified version of her Space God form with an Inves Overlord twist. Would also have the Sanagim who are under her control with some Desite Drivers to become Jyamato Rider hybrids.

We would have Ace and Gira get some focus together, but the teams would be split due to the royale gran prix randomizing everyone to various teams. having a few mini tasks and quests to do to. also now being reminded of Strongest Battle, with some cast in this series, they can have some actors reprise their roles, example, Kousei from Geats could reprise his role as TimeFire, could have Neon see her and say he looks like her dad and for how he's alive? You can say its a side effect of the new game rules resetting some things so characters that were dead could return, no one (almost) truly stays dead in Toku to be fair. we could also bring in the Gouraigers along with Beet and Stag Buster cause they are insect rangers plus bring a few associated with royalty like Gokai Pink and a Zyuranger since they were prince/princess's of their tribe. same with Rider in having some also being connected to royalty but also been in a royale. since I mentioned Helheim earlier, of course Gaim would show up and Zangetsu would also join since he was focusing on studying strange occurances. Necrom can help out since he was a prince plus have an excuse to bring Espada to have them team up since they never got the chance to for their TTFC special, even getting a new form based on Sanzo form. maybe comment its similar to another Wonder Ride Book Saber has.

Of course we'd also have the Space Squad returning with Gavan Type G getting help from Janperson, who would be surprised that Reika has been resurrected but also try to investigate who is reviving various heroes and villains. so they can bring in others from other realms like the Batta Augments, some Fuuto PI Dopants and others, for returning heroes, we could have Dragonranger return, given his actor responded to his counterparts tragic passing, I think it'd be fitting if they manage to get him back as a way to pay respect since the adaptation turned 30. speaking of anniversaries, would also be fitting to bring an adult Kibaranger to join in the fight and also bring Gaisorg/Nada to help double team with some Dino power. With Rider we can bring Nazca Dopant and he battles a duplicate Aurora Dopant (as a meta joke that his actor portrayed him in the stage show), With Gaim back we Have to have Baron back but able to use his Overlord abilities to help out, even battling Buffa to see how he is as the rival to Geats, leading his own ressurected Kaijin team.

Of course after the big battle and defeating Reiko and the corrupted Daijinryuu, things go back to normal though Space Squad are still trying to uncover who revived Reiko and are gonna continue investigate it while the current heroes have their own tasks to do. Can also be narrated by a familiar voice as he sees a few remnant enemies like the Spider Augment, only to be taken down by a certain Spider-Ranger or so they say.

Super Hero Legends (Boonboomger/Gotchard)

With Boonboomger close to ending, I'm close to finishing up this idea, I could try coming up with one for Gavv/Gozyuger but as those are still little info, best to save those for later if there's interest. But now onto this one. Interestingly when planning it out, where they'd take place would work perfectly, for Boonboomger, it would be when they defeat MadRex the first time, while with Gotchard, it would be during Legend's arc when he appears in the series, albeit around the beginning. Which is even more hilarious in hindsight when you remember who was in that episode and who he would be in Boonboomger.

With that said of course we would have the Hundred be a villain faction for this story with Legend involved, though for Sentai, I had to really think about it for a bit. Was thinking of having Basco be a returning villain with his power of Ranger Keys, but we already had him brough back in the Zenkaiger prologue movie, felt like we needed someone different. but did have the idea of a new threat that came from Pirate World that escapes and uses his abilities to steal various items from Rider and Sentai, maybe make him lovecraftian that uses his own form of alchemy (tying it back to Gotchard), getting both the Hashiriyan Key and getting Lachesis's Valvarusher, creating a Valvarad themed Kurumaju/Malgam hybrid that would also turn into his vehicle for the movie along with a crew of Hundred Riders and Sentai impersonators plus a few Kaijin. Would also have them search for a mystery prize that would be the reason for them cooperating.

Now for the heroes, of course we would have Gotchard and the Boonboomgers appear, with Legend having a bit more focus but joining him would be Twokaizer, which would be fun to see two gold heroes that are based on Rider/Sentai that are based on anniversaries. Wizard can join in to with Magic and Alchemy being an interesting dynamic. then someone commenting on them not being similar, much to their chagrin. maybe have other users like Magigreen, since his actor would be done with Blazar by this point and having him appear would be a surprise. Can also bring in members that associate with big vehicles like Dekred, Red Racer, Red Buster, to name a few. having a Rider partner to add some extra power to the big race fight.

Think like previous ones this one is a bit more simpler, they battle the main baddie who grows giant, yadda yadda yadda with Bundorio using something from Gotchard's power. They would celebrate with another race ending the movie.

And I think that'll be it, some ideas I think I could've fleshed out better but think you get the idea. I would do one for Gavv and Gozyuger but since the series is too new, I'll hold off until we get a few more episode ideas. I have one in mind but may hold off on it unless there's interest or maybe Toei may surprise us, given they had the Anniversary Quintet special which had Gokai Red, Zenkaiser, Decade, Legend and Gozyu Wolf. We'll see what happens, that in it of it self is giving me some ideas.

Keeping His Promise (Donbrothers fanfic)

Summary:

When Haruka had asked Jiro to accompany her into town, she was expecting big smiles and maybe endearing but annoying comments of bravado to be her company. When instead she gets silver eyes and a snarl that no human should be able to make, she finds herself surprised in more than one way about her lesser known don brother.

Jiro hissed with his teeth clenched as he tried to sit up from his futon that morning. His arm hurt with an absolute burning intensity and he clutched at it, the pressure both painful and grounding at the same time. Yesterday’s battle had been especially hectic, the others all having their hands full with the Hitotsuki which meant Jiro had to step in overtime a bit to keep both Sononi and Sonoza at bay. He was a bit relieved, even if only secretly so, that Sonoi had not been present as well or he would likely have fared even worse; he had been a bit desperate in trying to get their attention away from the others so they wouldn't be bothered by additional opponents, but in trying to goad and let the two noto get some strikes in to engage their interest he had underestimate his opponents speed and Sonoza’s spear had taken to gouging into his bicep. He had been able to keep fighting, and he would like to think that thanks to him the others could prevail uninterrupted in their main fight with the hitotsuki monster too, though his other self had been adamant they return home to care for their wounds after everything cleared instead of finding the others.

Normally for such injuries, the other Jiro would take over with some mild insult on his tongue or a rough shove across their bond forcing his way into the body. For all his rough actions and sharp words though, he was always thinking of keeping them safe and keeping Jiro from suffering pain whenever possible. This time however, Jiro had remained in front as only he of the two of them had experience with doing stitches. For as merciful a gesture it was to switch so only one had to endure their pain and suffering, it did often result in any injuries or illness going on longer due to the other’s lack of skill in caring for them. Most practical skills such as cleaning, cooking, sewing, interacting at social events, and first aid were in the current host’s wheelhouse over the former’s as loathe as the other was whenever it came up. So it had been with golden eyes and a nervous laugh of reassurance that Jiro had made his way home and faced the ordeal of having to clean and stitch up his injured arm.

The pain had been rather excruciating but necessary, as he repeatedly had to reassure his other half throughout the process. Every tear down his cheek and grunt into the rag he’d taken to biting on for the process gave way to a respective probing for them to switch at the back of his mind. There was a joke to be made, surely, about tiger parents, though at the end of the day after everything was finished and cleaned Jiro was much too tired to make it. Instead, he did his best to brave through reheating leftovers from the night before, eating it quickly with little fanfare, and just letting himself drop to the futon and he was out not too long after. Which brought him back to his current morning and predicament he awoke to.

His body was still in a lot of pain from the injury and the strain of fighting with his injured arm and having to do everything thereafter, but he was hit with a reminder as soon as he glanced over to his cellphone beside him of prior engagements: he had agreed to accompany Haruka for some errands after she got out of school today, and in case of running into a Hitotsuki she wanted someone to be there so she wasn’t stuck fighting on her own which the upcoming hero was very happy to offer a few days ago. Now though…

“Rest inside. I’ll go.”

“Ah? But you don’t particularly know Haruka-san, why would you-”

“You do. She trusts you, and I've seen her fight.”

He chuckled softly, shaking his head. “That’s not really knowing someone I don't think.”

“Wouldn't let me help before, couldn't do anything. Now I can. She would be angry if you did not keep your promise.”

“...Jiro…will you be okay? It’ll be in the market district, where all the shopkeepers and old ladies I talk to for food are? Are you sure-”

He could feel the phantom sensation of hackles raising along the back of his neck and back, his body responding to the emotions of his other half even without fronting yet.

“I’m not weak. ‘ can do it myself.”

Jiro smiled at the petulant tone of his more wild side, fond of just how young he came across when he wasn’t itching for a fight or struggling for control in combat. He rubbed soothing circles into his own thigh, hoping the other was paying enough attention to sensations to feel it.

“Okay, okay. Just don’t strain anything to make it worse for us. Oh! And make sure you don't leave Haruka-san on her own, if you have to leave earlier tell her don't just walk away. And she gets loud and mad sometimes but it isn't looking for a fight or being mean usually so don't take it as a challenge!”

He heard a deep rumbling, something between a growl and purr caught deep in their chest. “Talk too much, too many rules. I won’t fight her. Go out, stay until she goes home, come back. Keeping a promise, nothing else.”

“...Thank you, I appreciate this!” 

He offered a grin before letting the ever probing claws at the corners of his consciousness tear their way forward finally. When the other Jiro felt he was properly fully brought forward, he reached a hand up to his face, tracing his fingers over his own mouth before letting the other’s expression drop as he gave a deep rough sound of a huff and rolled his neck and shoulder to crack too tense joints and muscles. Their body always felt too constrictive and uncomfortable to him whenever he fronted, like it wouldn't move how he wanted it to so his movements always were stiff and sudden.

“...he could have at least used his phone with her first…”

He pointedly ignored the laughter ringing out in his head, fighting the urge to tap a palm to his head, as if he could shake the sound from his mind like water from his ear.

Haruka had waved her friends off as they split ways from their walk from school a decent 15 minutes ago, which left her at the lakefront area near the sidewalk leading to the crosswalk from her school that would either take you to her house or into the market district. She had hoped to pick up some art supplies today and, as thanks for the company, pick something up for her and Jiro both for dinner since she had just gotten paid for this week at Donbura. However, her patience was waning a bit as she kept checking her phone with no result.

“The least he could do is text me if he was going to be late or something, I didn't see him yesterday either…did something happen maybe? Ough, I can't do anything about it now I guess.” She nodded to herself sagely, stomping in place once as if some declaration had been made as she came to a decision.

“Either he shows up late and I scold him today or he leaves me here and I scold him next time I see him! Easy.”

She was resolved to give another 10 minutes at most before going on ahead on her own, however as she leaned forward to check around the corner of the sidewalk that led the rest of the way down the lakeside path, she caught sight of familiar orange, gold, and black. She was about to call out, however she also caught sight of familiar white and tiger print and it gave her a bit of pause.

‘Th-the other Jiro?? Why would he come here? Did they switch on the way and he came to pick a fight? Oh. Come. On! Can’t I just win for once?’

Jiro caught sight of her and, to her continued confusion, he nodded his head in recognition and beelined for her, picking up his pace to stand before her in just a few moments. His eyes narrowed, scrutinizing her as he stood before and over her, his head tilting the side as if appraising her. She straightened her posture, offering a nervous smile and glancing between her feet and occasionally flicking her gaze up to meet his. He leaned down a bit, and she could hear a definitely inhuman sound from him, like something was dragging harshly over stones almost as they dragged their way up his throat past his lips.

“U-um…Jiro? Or..”

He snorted, straightening up and seeming to fumble a bit with something in his pocket before pulling out their cell phone. He shook it in her direction as if that would somehow tell her anything. And going off the groan from the older man, she assumed he quickly realized she wasn't picking up on his meaning. He then held it out, tapping it lightly against one of her hands.

“You used this to tell him to meet you today.”

“U..uhuh?”

“ ‘couldn’t make it, so I came. Y’still have someone to go now, kept his promise.”

She blinked up at him in surprise, not sure what part of this entire interaction to start with unpacking yet. She had never “spoken” with this Jiro really, and it seemed he didn't want to try to do so either with really any of the team. So now with him offering to go shopping with her out of nowhere? She felt she was allowed to be a little slow on the uptake given this wasn't really ever a scenario she viewed as an option before it was literally standing in front of her.

“Hold on…what do you mean he couldn’t make it? You guys are both..” She gestured vaguely at Jiro, moving her hand up and down to point at him from head to toe. “And why didn't you text or call me then? I was waiting for him. You. Y’all? Whatever.”

She crossed her arms, looking up at him expectantly. Usually she smothered a lot of her temper and irritation unless it was with the other don brothers or someone who especially got on her nerves, but she figured maybe since he was always challenging people with how he spoke that it would work in her favor to give it right back to him. ‘Two could play this game,’ she thought. Though that strategy felt like it was going right out the window when she saw silver eyes flicker away from her as one of his hands reached up to cover his throat and scratch into his skin.

“Jiro’s phone…I don’t know how to…Jiro talks to people for us.”

Was he…embarrassed? 

“Ahaha…I see…” she replied lamely, her tone deflating almost instantly.

Her accusation felt mean a bit now, for her to get such a reaction out of a battle hungry beast of a man she had really only known on the battlefield felt…like a low blow somehow, even if she didn't have the context for why. So they both awkwardly stood there, picking different directions than the people in front of them to find ever so fascinating in the moment. Haruka startled when she caught movement in the corner of her eye, and as her gaze flitted back to look at Jiro she saw him reach out for her. Instinctively she took a half step back and he paused, blinking at her in surprise before his expression grew frustrated if the furrowing of his brows and grimace to his mouth were anything to go by. He then reached forward again, but instead of actually grabbing her, he made a motion with his hand as if pretending to do so and then pointed in the direction of the crosswalk.

“Market…he promised to go with you. So let’s get it over with.”

“Y-you don't have to-”

She quickly stopped herself as a snarl started on his lips, unusually sharp teeth exposed a bit with the expression. She backpedaled and waved her hands, offering a nervous smile and nodded.

“Okay! Okay, market it is, yeah we can do that!”

He seemed satisfied with the response as he let the snarl slide down into a tired huff and with some waiting for her to take the lead for their destination, they were off: Onisister in front with Dontorabolt a few paces behind.

Shopping with this Jiro was a much different experience than the one she knew far better. Normally, she was accompanied with plenty of idle chatter, strong arms happy to carry anything either of them purchased; an almost glowing energy anytime he could inform her of some arbitrary fact he knew about a food item either bought or at the joy under attention from whatever shopkeep, old lady, or child that stopped him for conversation. It was honestly really nice, and as much as he was full of bluster and self confidence that drove her up a wall at times, he was genuinely trying to be kind in his own way and when his kindness was aimed at her or those around her she could definitely see it. He was excitable and young spirited despite being older than her, and he preened under attention. Shopping with this Jiro however, was none of those things.

He was an imposing figure, his height something of mild annoyance now laying into his threatening appearance. It was like having a wild animal walk beside you as he seemed to glare or bare his teeth at anyone too close to either of them that wasn't necessary as they moved from stall and store to the next. He seemed to keep his right side always shielded away: if not facing a wall or shelf then always close to Haruka herself. Never touching, but close enough to make it obvious she was being used almost as some kind of shield, from what she had no clue. He didn't talk much, responding with more light grunts or hums in answer to anything she tried to probe from him and letting conversation drop from there. She found herself at a loss with what to do with him, he was helping to carry anything she felt bold enough to ask him to, but otherwise was just standing vigil and guard over her more than actually shopping with her.

It wasn’t all bad, their shopping did go by much faster admittedly, and she seemed to get much better haggling deals with her ‘guard tiger’ always at her side looming over her to shoot murderous snarls to anyone not giving her what she wanted or needed. Useful, she had to admit, but overall not particularly her favorite shopping experience ever she would have to be honest. That was the pace they had ended up going through whatever small stalls caught her interest between the actually intended art supply stores she had come for. That is, until they passed by a small cosmetics stand. It was nothing special and Haruka only planned to give it a light glance over more out of respect and habit than needing anything from it. But as they stopped in front of the small stall, Jiro seemed to suddenly stiffen, loudly exclaiming somewhere between surprise and challenge before he cut himself off. Haruka’s head whipped around, worried by the sudden scene that felt like it was building only to see a small child, maybe 6 or 7 at the most, tugging at Jiro’s kimono sleeve.

He towered over the child, a young girl in a simple pink t-shirt and white frilly skirt standing there with tears and snot running down her face. Haruka felt herself tense in concern, a bit nervous how Jiro would be around a child if she was being honest. Whatever honor bound agreement he had made with the other Jiro to make him…personable was wrong but close enough for now, towards her had no reason to extend to a random kid. She made to grab at his shoulder, thinking she would get his attention to draw away from the kid so she could get away but he simply thrusted the bought goods in his left arm into her unexpecting but open own. She spluttered, almost toppling from surprise more than the burden but before she could get a word in edgewise, she was shocked into silence.

Jiro, now unencumbered, lowered himself to crouch low enough to be at the girl’s height. He tilted his head, taking stock of her before he used the hem of his own sleeve not currently being gripped to wipe at the girl's cheeks and nose. He kept at it, ever so careful if not with jerky movements cleaning at her face until the child calmed enough to only sniffle instead of outright crying at the man. Seemingly satisfied, he placed his left hand on her head, pulling it forward to press against his own and he spoke as carefully and gently as he seemed to muster. 

“Why do you cry? Are you hurt?” Silver eyes stared into small brown ones, and he seemed to shift a bit as the girl shook her head in his loose hold.

“I lost my mommy... She was in front of the makeup store, but then she went ahead without me and there were too many people..” She seemed to start getting worked up again, but before she could start crying in earnest, he once more wiped his sleeve against her face and gently rubbed his forehead against hers, practically nuzzling her to comfort her.

“Mn…,” he let that deep rough rumbling sound start again in his chest, eliciting a small giggle from the child. “If lost here…you did good to stay here...so she can find you again. I can wait with you.”

The little girl nodded, and he moved a bit to the side in a crouch walk before outright sitting down on the sidewalk right there, just a bit to be out of the way so customers for the stall weren’t being blocked off. Haruka was in awe, her jaw all but dropped as she stared down at the battle hungry warrior who was now instead letting a little girl snot on his clothes and sit in his lap. Jiro, having calmed the child down enough to be manageable, let his sharp gaze slide back over to meet Haruka’s own, causing her to once again splutter awkwardly as she was unsure what to do with herself.

“Jiro said…not to leave you, but she..” he turned to the little girl in his lap, his face scrunching up in what seemed to be confusion. “ If you leave me…go find her mom?” It was as close to a request as he could manage, but Haruka understood well enough. “I can go shout around the next few stores down, yeah! Don’t go anywhere, if she’s still around here I'll bring her back in no time!” And so, with the kind offer of the shopkeep having overheard the situation, she passed over her bought goods to be kept safe behind the counter and she dashed off down the sidewalk.

Luckily, it seemed the little girl had only just lost sight of her mother when she grabbed onto Jiro, as only 2 stores down when she called out into it if anyone was looking for their daughter, she was met with a woman rushing her in a panic. The girl’s mother was in tears, rushing a frenzy of “I only turned away for a second, she was right there, but when I got inside the next store she was gone!” 

Haruka did her best to calm her, and she explained about how she was waiting for her mom still at the makeup stall just down the block. They both were caught up, and in what was less than 15 minutes of searching and running if even that, they were both jogging back the way they came to go meet up with Jiro and the little girl. When they got there, the two were still sitting on the concrete where the mangaka had left them, now with Jiro seeming to be...drawing on her face? Haruka’s head tilted to the side in confusion as she slowed to a stop in front of them, looking down in bewilderment of the scene. However, as the mother called out the child’s attention was grabbed, Jiro pulled away and after wiping at her cheeks one last time he leaned back so she could more easily climb out of his lap into her mother’s waiting arms. The woman was quick to dip between a string of reassurances to her child and the odd ‘thank you’ to Haruka and Jiro’s general direction as she scooped her child up onto her hip securely.

She gave one last bow of thanks and apology before turning to go on her way, the little girl looking back over her mom’s shoulder and waving at them with a bright and happy, “Bye-Bye Tora-niisan!”

Haruka blinked, noticing the marks around her eyes; Jiro had done his makeup on her it seemed, and when she turned to look at the man in question to confirm if she saw correctly, she caught him weakly raising his left hand and giving a poor imitation of a wave the way a small child would.

“Tora…niisan…”

Jiro perked up, turning his head to side eye her. She waves it off with her hands in a “don't mind!” gesture before she reached forward to grab his right hand to help pull him back onto his feet. His expression turned to one of concern, but she didn't catch it in time before he snarled outright in her direction, wrenching his hand back and clutching at his arm. She jumped back at first, unsure what she had done before she noticed a few small red dots seeming to soak through from the inside of his light colored kimono.

“Y-your arm!! I didn’t- was that today? I’m so-” He cut her off, shaking his head roughly. He rose up onto his feet on his own, a little shakier than she felt he should have, and despite her rambling protests rising again he took up her things she bought throughout the day so far in his left arms grip and then he looked at her pointedly. She stiffened in attention, looking at him nervously.

“Jiro said not to leave you…take me somewhere there’s no people…less crowded…”

She nodded, relaxing a bit and this time taking just the edge of his sleeve in her hand, she gave a small bow of thanks to the shopkeep before starting on her way down an in between alleyway. Jiro was quiet the whole way, obediently following behind, and so she was glad the area she had in mind was close by. After the alley it spit them out at a side street but once across it, there was a calm not very busy park with benches and plenty of trees they could rest at and so she lead on in determined silence until they had arrived and she carefully took her things from him as he lowered himself onto the first bench they saw.

He sighed, almost exhausted sounding despite the short venture, and he leveled her with a suddenly intense stare. It was that appraising look he had given her at the beginning of the trip, and she was certain there was more to it than a once over.

“Jiro…he trusts you. You trust him to have your back, to fight with you so you can laugh together after…” 

It was a statement, not a question, and the gears in Haruka’s head were turning at mach speeds to try and keep up with the direction of what was happening. However, before she had met him in the middle, Jiro had already moved on, only now pulling his arm out of the sleeve to reveal a mess of thick bandages wrapped around his bicep. It wasn't terrible, but there was still a sizable amount of blood seeping through at this point and it made Haruka gasp audibly. Jiro did his best to carefully unwind the bandages to pull away the gauze pad soaked through to inspect underneath it. Haruka covered her mouth at the mostly neat row of sutures across his bicep, quick to see that one had ripped and from there it was oozing slowly some half dried and half fresh blood. 

“You were hurt before you came with me today…Is that what you meant by Jiro not being able to make it?! Don’t you both feel it? Neither of you should have come then!” She gave him a hard stare, and he tilted his head at an odd angle to look at her, a confused groan on his lips as he met her stare.

“Jiro promised-”

“It was just shopping! We could have done it another time, it’s not a big deal! This!” She gestured at his arm,” This is a big deal! Did you even go to the hospital?”

Jiro sneered, seeming to almost shudder at the suggestion. “Don’t trust them...strangers…to many people and touching…No.” His tone was firm, challenging anyone who would question the decision. “Jiro is…he’s smart, picks up things quickly, learned how to… he takes care of those things. If too much for us…call Rumi-chan.” 

“Rumi-chan?” ‘I don't think he’s ever referred to anyone like that before…”

“Mn…Rumi-chan is…nice, safe, kind. Laughs with us, even when it is me not Jiro. Important, she lives back where we grew up, had to leave her behind to come here…didn’t want to rely on her when Jiro was a hero like was supposed to be.”

Haruka sighed, reaching into her school bag amongst her other things and she rooted around until she found her gym class t-shirt. She pulled it out and after a soft prayer of apology to the garment, she ripped with all her might until she successfully ripped a good long strip from the lower half of it. She looked over to Jiro, and gestured vaguely to it with her head.

“May I? Just as a temporary bandage until you’re home and Jiro can deal with it then.” 

She waited until she got a curt nod before reaching forward, wrapping the strip around his bicep and tying it off, mumbling apologies under her breath as he hisses when she tightened it to knot it. Satisfied with the quick fix bandage, she sat back as Jiro fixed his kimono back into place.

“...Do you trust me?”

She startled a bit hard, almost falling from her seat on the bench beside him as she spluttered. “Haaa??”

“You…bandaged our arm, fight with us, take us with you into crowds with strangers.”

“I mean...those aren’t really big things….” She noticed him look away from her, finding the ground much more fascinating it seemed as he almost nervously flexed his “clawed” fingers in front of him,” But they are…for you then…” 

She crossed her arms, tilting her head one way and then the other as she tried to think of how to answer him.

“Most of us didn't choose to fight, not at first anyway. I'm glad to be a don bother now! Don't get me wrong, it's important and..it has opened a lot of experiences up to me and people i wouldn't know otherwise. But we didn't pick it the way you or Taro did. But…I do trust you in battle, Jiro helps us and you’re both really strong too. So yes I trust you. And I don't think Jiro would hurt me on purpose, um…I think…maybe if you were around us more though…maybe we could get to trust you. Trust usually only comes when you get to know someone enough to understand them, y’know.”

“Jiro trusts you, even if he does not know you all. Because you are also heroes. I do not…I don’t trust people, it’s…stupid. Not safe. Most people do not wish to laugh with us or to offer kindness, not like Rumi-chan, not like Jiro. Jiro is naïve, and foolish, but he is also smart and insightful…If he trusts you…should I try to?”

“You…me, us, heroes? Ahaha, well...Um, I mean..,” she paused, taking a deep breath in and then out to settle herself. There would be time to feel praised and flustered later. “Nobody can tell you who or what to do, that’s something you need to decide. But I would like to think it would be a good idea to try and trust me..to trust us. I know we’d like it if you did. You’re both our comrades so…getting to know you both I think is a good start, since you’re both a part of the team I mean.”

Jiro paused, looking at her with the most open expression she had ever seen on his face. His eyes were wide and he was just looking at her a little slack jawed, almost startled by her words. After a few beats, he quickly turned away and made to stand taking a few steps away from the bench.

“Jiro?”

“I kept his promise. We went to the market, I did not leave you, I did not fight with you. I'm going home.”

And with that, he left as unexpectedly as he came, his almost lumbering gate straightening somewhat as he got farther away down the path. Before he was out of view, she could have sworn she overheard him talking to himself, but his words were lost on her with the distance. She sighed, letting herself sag back into the bench and looking up at the trees around her, her bags strewn at her feet and the remains of a t-shirt shredded next to her on the bench.

“What a wild day…I still owe them dinner” she thought aloud idly to herself.
