what's your and the breach's characters favorite weapons and sidearms? With their explanations of why course

I'll start i guess,

My favorite gun is the MP5, light, easy to carry, smol, and slap, with good rate of fire and light recoil,

And my favorite sidearm is the m1911, no positives just style points, like using a revolver in a modern world, but who used sidearms in actual combat right?

Firstly, I'd appreciate if you were to ask for a maximum of 5 people cause Breach has over 20 characters in it and all of them can and have used firearms 😅

But, since I do have a list of what gun each character always uses, here it is anyway.

The P226 (Cause it's the gun I'm most familiar with) and my favourite gun of all time, the FN FNC... because of the movie Heat, also I love the Swedish AK5c variant.

I just watched a video on the North Hollywood shootout and I can't help but feel impressed. Seriously fuck those guys and they deserved to die, but they still had a rather impressive thing going. All I really knew going into this is that they had guns illegally converted to full auto and homemade body armor, well that and that the police had to go into a gun shop to get some rifles because their pistols and shotguns were so ineffective. Just the fact that the shooters made armor and converted rifles to full auto shows that they knew what they were doing.

Before the shooting they took a heavy dose of barbiturates to keep their nerves calm. In a shootout that adrenaline rush can really affect your accuracy and decision making. With all their robberies they carried a ton of ammo just in case it turned into a sustained fire fight. They even had backup rifle kits in case something happened to their primaries. Then there were the tactics. After running out of the bank they were bounding where one shooter laid down covering fire while the other ran to the parking lot then turned and laid down covering fire for the first guy. One of the shooters was injured in the left hand so he just lifted his entire left arm to brace his rifle against. He switched from his AK to an HK91. During the fire fight he laid out his stuff for another AK realizing he would likely have to switch to that next.

After the shootout it was found that they even had a dummy business at an abandoned warehouse as a front to launder the money from previous robberies.

And I just want to reiterate fuck these guys. They're not heroes. They're not good guys. They deserved to bleed out in the streets. Still I'm impressed at how much work they put into this. These weren't just two guys who grabbed some guns and hoped for the best. They planned this stuff out pretty thoroughly and when those plans went to shit they put up a solid fight. Just a shame that they chose a path of threatening to kill others to steal shit. And in one armored car robbery they were suspected of committing a guard had been killed so again fuck these guys lol.

My trust in PTR as a source for 922r compliant HK parts that also don't cost the absurd HK markup has taken damage. Why change the journal size for the HK91 triple frame? No reason for that, just makes me have to destroy an original part from my kit to use your barrels :/

Standard-issue sidearms carried by most local patrol officers at the time were 9mm pistols or .38 Special revolvers; some patrol cars were also equipped with a 12-gauge shotgun. Phillips and Mătăsăreanu carried Norinco Type 56 rifles (a Chinese AK-47 variant) and a Bushmaster XM-15 Dissipator with a 100-round drum magazine, both of which had been illegally modified to be select-fire capable, as well as a Heckler & Koch HK91 rifle and a Beretta 92FS pistol. The robbers wore homemade body armor which successfully protected them from handgun rounds and shotgun pellets fired by the responding officers. An LAPD Metropolitan Division SWAT team eventually arrived with higher-caliber weapons, but they had little effect on the heavy body armor used by the two perpetrators. The SWAT team also commandeered an armored car to evacuate the wounded. Several officers additionally equipped themselves with rifles from a nearby firearms dealer. The incident sparked debate on the need for patrol officers to upgrade their firepower in preparation for similar situations in the future.[1]
