Hi. Idk if you write for Homelander but I was inspired by the annon idea of arguing with MM and him stopping mid sentence bcs he sees Butcher behind you. Same idea basically but with Homelander and maybe the Deep? You are the ceo of Vought company ,and arguing abt some thing with deep (he refuses to do sth the way you say it) and as he's becoming more aggressive about to call you some word he sees Hl behind you standing with his arms behind his back,giving him a look thats enough for the deep to shut up and accept your proposal.

“okay… deep i need you to in the New York harbour as we have a few PR crimes that will get you more ratings in the press and for your fan base.” you explain to Kevin, who is not happy with what he is being told to do. “no y/n you know i don’t want to do water based crimes anymore! i want more than that… im the Deep for fucks sake.” he complained, crossing his arms and pouting like a child. You, the CEO of Vought rolled your eyes at him “deep, you are quite literally the Lord of the Seven Seas, your BRAND is the water. therefore, you have water based crimes.” you explained, taking a deep breath

he continued to pout, huffing and puffing at the task he has been assigned. his eyebrows furrowed together and looked at you with darkened eyes, he slowly walked up to you to look down at you, intimidating you. “i am a part of the Seven and i am just as important as the others- i am just as capable of land crimes-“ “i am aware, but right now you’re going to have to take this and run with it otherwise you’re not gonna have any good PR.” you interrupted, which makes him explode in anger. “you will give me what i am deserving of you good for nothing b-“

“deep… what do you think you’re doing?” a larger than life voice suddenly fills the office room. in the doorway was Homelander, flashing a small smile towards you. The Deep’s demeanour became suddenly meek- muttering a “hello homelander”, knowing what would happen if he had of continued his degrading sentence. Homelander strutted towards the both of you and stood at attention next to you. Deep backed away slowly, looking down at his feet.

“i don’t quite appreciate the way that you’re talking to Y/N here, she’s in charge of what she assigns you and can take it away with a snap of their fingers- you wouldn’t want that would you?” the deep shakes his head quickly. “so, i’d like for you to apologise to them. now.” he looks down at him, staring at him with his eerie blank expression. “i’m s-sorry homela- i mean y/n, i will take the assignments, thank you.” he leaves your office with his assignments and with his tail between his legs and out to the hallway, closing the door behind him. you look up at homelander mouthing a thank you to him, and he turns around to stand in front of you, he puts his hands on your shoulders, slowly stroking them with his thumbs. “you shouldn’t be talked at like that, especially by that glorified joke of a supe.” he reassures, giving you a grin.

Sebastian Sallow : (Penhaligon's Lavandula)

The Undercroft was cold and dim. Sebastian needed time to get away from people, overwhelmed by it all. He was so tired, stressed and... defeated. The events that happened from his 5th year is now weighing on him, leaving him haunted as he slumped into the wall, his legs giving out as Sebastian stared at the ceiling. He didn't expect MC coming into the Undercroft, a worried look written on her face. MC asked him if he was all right. Does he even look all right? He snorted sarcastically at this question, looking back at her with indifference. MC sighed, going to his side as she sat next to him, giving Sebastian a big hug. At first Sebastian didn't feel indifferent to MC's hug, but his arms found itself wrapped around her waist tight, catching that smell again. Oh he missed that scent, that lavender scent she wears so well, blended with a slight hint of vanilla and spicy notes. It came in like a comforting voice, a lover's embrace to calm Sebastian's pain. Unashamedly so that he buried his nose onto the crook of MC's neck, taking in deep breaths to smell her scent again. So much so Sebastian didn't notice MC's gasp, her eyelids fluttering at the intensity of his hold on her. In the sheer hunger of needing comfort, Sebastian kissed MC on the lips passionately. Neither of them broke from the kiss, finding themselves wrapped in a passionate embrace. After needing some air, Sebastian asked if MC would come and stay with him in Feldcroft for the summer. He smirked when she said yes.

Ominis Gaunt: (Chanel's No 5)

He couldn't get enough of that scent and it frustrated him so. MC decided to play coy when Ominis finally asked about her perfume, saying that she will tell him if he willingly would go to the upcoming school ball with her. Reluctantly, Ominis agreed. Ominis found himself wearing his dress robes as he waits for MC in the Great Hall during that night, nervous as it all could be a trick and he was stood up. Ominis heard the gasps and murmurs, wondering who that could be. But upon catching that scent, he smiled as MC held his hand, leading him to the dancefloor when the music started to play. Sighing, he held MC in a waltz position, praying that he didn't step on her toes. Suprisingly she caught up to him in speed and steps, the two moving in sync. Upon smelling her close up, Ominis could finally note the iris, musk, vanilla and other things... but it was incomplete as it was missing one more note. As MC got tired of dancing and wanted to take a breather, Ominis followed suit, sitting down in the moonlit garden. Ominis now didn't find the scent annoying or bothersome, rather it greets him like an elegant work of art that was put on display. He and MC admitted their feelings towards on another, leading to a chaste kiss and a warm embrace. Ominis found the missing note on that perfume. Her.

Garreth Weasley: (Replica's Lazy Sunday Morning)

He watches MC sleeping peacefully next to him after they made love yesterday night. Garreth let his fingers dance around MC's hair, slowly moving towards the skin on her back. The Sunday morning peeked through the window, giving MC a sort of halo. Garreth felt blessed to witness a rare beautiful sight. MC woke up, stretching slightly with the white linen bedsheets. She turned to her side, greeting him with a sleepy smile as she snuggled up to him. Garreth gave MC a kiss on her lips, taking in that scent he smelt from her handkerchief from that potions incident. Oh, how that scent charmed him so, with it's musky yet clean notes blending together with that light touch of pear and florals. Garreth sighed as he held MC tight, continuously giving her small kisses and whispering sweet nothings while she held him tight, giving him small moans that was music to his ears. They spent the whole morning in that bed, the conversation going from pillow talk to dreams of the future. Garreth chuckled and supported her ambitions, while she can't wait to see him become a master potioneer. They both smiled at each other, looking forward to what came next. The impression from that scent that first hit Garreth did came true in the end. It was better than Garreth could ever dream of. Maybe now it is a good time to pull out that ring he kept hidden in the bedside table.

Amit Thakkar: (Diptyque's Tam Dao)

MC wanted to explore the rest of the magical world after graduation. Amit willingly obliged, wanting to go with her to see the spots where it is just perfect to set up a telescope to view the stars above. Upon landing in his homeland of India during their travels, Amit asked if she was willing to visit his homestate of Bombay, or as he calls it, Gujarat. MC said yes, and Amit felt his heart over soared with joy. He also actually bought the train tickets ahead of time so he felt relief when she said yes otherwise those tickets would have gone to waste. The tropical heat and hearing the familiar Gujarati language cured Amit's homesickness once the train stopped at his hometown. He had to admit, he had been away for too long. He showed MC the temples and their gods and goddesses, explaining their roles in Hinduism. MC listened with a curious mind, a keen pupil as she always was when Amit studies with her about Astronomy. Amit gulped when they arrived at his childhood home, awaiting the flurry of questions from his parents regarding MC. MC knew how to charm her way through, answering each and every question while sprinkling some good things about their son. As MC played the charming guest, Amit couldn't help but to catch her scent again. Oh that sandal and cedar wood that reminded him of his childhood worn by her gave him such a yearning for his home that he fell for her since, wondering how he landed MC. Now that she is here, it just felt right. He stared at MC as she politely excuses herself to freshen up, giving Amit a kiss on the forehead as she goes to another room. And that is when Amit wanted to bury himself in shame as his parents nag him on when he is going to marry her.

Leander Prewett: (Goutal's Petite Cherie)

She can't be beat. He has tried everything but somehow MC always got better. On the last Summoner Court's match he lost by 70 points, leading Leander to admit defeat and walk away in shame. he didn't even care that MC was calling out to him until he felt a jolt, her hand grasping on his robes. MC asked why he was always challenging her in everything. Sighing, Leander admitted for once he just wanted to be good in something, perhaps something that can prove he was worthy of the house of Gryffindor. MC gave him a pat on the back, offering to teach him. In fact, she even offered to be his dueling partner so he can learn a thing or two. Slowly, Leander had to admit he wanted to be in MC's company. He began to join her in exploring caves or some quiet study time, relishing in what she had to share with him. She always had that pull about her, down to her scent. Oh how that grassy notes of pear and peach settle down to a bouquet of roses and lilac on her skin and clothes. She doesn't know about how magnetic she was, was she? It was one of those days that MC asked him to meet her at the black lake, something about buried treasure. Leander took a deep breath as he held to those roses tight, waiting for her. He was going to prove his bravery to her by asking her out right now.

Everett Clopton: (Loewe's 001)

Whoa! Those new broom upgrades was worth every galleon spent. Everett swished around the Southern course, with MC just right behind him. The two merely only wanted to test it out, leading to them doing a broom race. Honestly, Imelda might be foaming at the mouth seeing those two beating her score halfway. Everett looked back, ensuring MC wasn't too far behind. Unfortunately, he went too fast that for a split second, he found himself going flat on a tree. MC screamed in shock , then yelling Arresto Momentum to prevent him from falling down faster. That was some good timing, he thought as he landed on the ground gently with MC landing on her broom, looking frantic. He is okay, he faced worse broom accidents. MC isn't having it and shoves him a bottle of Wiggenweld. Fine, fine, he will drink one. As he drank, he caught a wiff of himself. Thank Merlin that he actually wore some cologne this time with MC so close to him. He gave her a kiss of reassurance on her forehead, seeing that she really was worried. Leaning his head on the crook of her neck, he gave a little laugh as he basked into that familiar scent of tangerine and bergamot that gave way to the jasmine, amber and linen. MC's body heat was the finishing touch to that scent as Everett looked up at her, giving a child like smirk. Upon seeing MC rolled her eyes and giving him a kiss in return, Everett knew he won, more ways than one.

REVIEW

Finally Gia and Silas' story. There is so much angst leading up to this book. Their story is very much anticipated.

Gia and Silas are professional enemies. They both have a competitive personality and are always at each others throats. So when Gia crashes a friend's wedding at Silas' resort it sets a set of events into motion that were not expected. Everything she thought up to this point is changed from the moment he pulls her into a closet to have a "discussion".

Silas has always had a thing for Gia, but she is his best friend's little sister. Which means "off limits". Working together was not possible, as he could not control his attraction to her. But when he runs into her at a wedding at his resort, fate intervenes. Now all bets are off.

I have to say that even though this was a great book, it was not my favorite in the series. I thought maybe there would have been a bit more push and pull. I thought the excitement was not as high in this book as the others. I still enjoyed and loved reading Gia's story. She is such a damaged individual. You never would have guessed she struggles with the damage inflicted upon her from her family. But in this book you will get an up close look at it and it explains a whole lot about Gia's personality.

Overall this book is good. It is a hot and raw story. It is steamy, sweet and romantic. I love Silas' character. He is everything I hoped he would be and a bit more. He is strong, successful, loyal and very loving. He cares deeply, yet he has a hard time explaining or showing how he cares without sticking his foot in his mouth.

All the characters in Lea's series are wonderful. I really enjoy reading how they all find love and happiness. There is a hint as to who is next and I think that is Ireland. I am really excited to see what is going on between her and Emmitt. Patiently waiting...

The Lady Gray’s Way (Primrose and Cora)

A/N: While discussing their friendship, we came across this idea and had to put it for everyone to see. Cora ofc belongs to @camillejeaneshphm​ and Henry, who’s mentioned, belongs to @gaygryffindorgal​ 

“...And that’s the whole story of the Alderies! Any other questions you wish to ask me?” Primrose Gray inquired to her pupil and woman she was sponsoring to marry her best friend Henry of Alderly, Marchioness Cora Hastings. 

“Well...” She tucked one wild strand of hair into her ear “There is this question that has been burning on my tongue for a while...” She took a deep breath and asked “Why aren’t pursuing Henry yourself, given that the two of you are so close and would make a powerful match?” 

To say that she was surprised was to say the least. She chuckled “Couldn’t you tell?” Cora nodded negatively “I do love Henry... just not that way. He’s my oldest friend, you see. We’ve done so many things together, even our first kiss was together-- worry not dear, it was chaste and fast,” she immediately said when her eyes went wide “but here’s the thing... it is impossible for me to see him as something else than a brother. You could see I’ve seen too much of the man,” she joked, and she chuckled lightly “and... I have some plans for my own marriage. And besides, if I truly wanted Henry for myself, do you think you’d be here at all?” 

“No...” 

“If I wanted to be Henry’s wife, I would’ve been so a long, long time ago. You wouldn’t be here, and despite the family’s reservations towards me, we would’ve married years ago.” 

“It makes sense. I heard much about you, you know... The famous Lady Gray and her terrifying talent of always getting her way.” 

She smirked, her chest puffing with pride. She did always obtained what she wanted, and Henry’s hand, in another life, would’ve been a piece of cake. She took another sip of white wine “Now, any other questions about Henry and his family? You must be properly when you’re Henry’s wife.” 

Cora frowned “How are you so sure that he’ll marry me?” 

Primrose leaned down on her sofa and smirked, another plan scheming on her head “Because you have something the other competitors don’t.” 

“What is that?” 

“...A lady who has a terrifying talent of always getting her way.”

Anne Sallow: Bvlgari's Wood Essence

Anne never understood why MC still comes to visit her. She did allow him, as long as he came alone since the events with her brother. MC always turns up every week without fail, even as her health was failing. He deserved better. Anne can feel her health deteriorate as the curse takes her life, the healers stumped on what to do. She would only drag MC down, waste his youth caring for her when the wizarding world has so much to offer him. She didn't want to be a burden, telling MC that he didn't had to come just because he felt sorry for her as she lay bed ridden. She didn't need his pity. She didn't expect MC to pull her into a hug, reassuring her that it was nonsense, he wasn't going anywhere. If anything, he said, she needed him more than ever. Anne sighed as she hugged him back, burying her nose into his shirt that contained that scent. Oh the cedarwood and cypress that mingled with a tinge of citrus that comforted her so like that scarf he gave her so long ago. MC admitted he does want to care for her willingly, for he was in love. So be it. Life can be cruel, but they have each other.

Poppy Sweeting : Jo Malone's Poppy & Barley

She quietly asked MC what they will be doing with all the beasts in the vivarium after MC graduates. MC gave some thought and decided to give them to good homes, as he wants to explore the magical world and their beasts. Poppy nervously asks if there is room for her in his plans. MC nodded to her overjoyed heart. Poppy was ecstatic to see the many beasts they encountered on their travels, be in it in the wild, poacher rings or being put to use by the local wizarding population as pets or as farm beasts. MC too, shared her enthusiasm as he learns more about the wizarding world. On a chilly night on top of a mountain, Poppy found herself unable to sleep. She got up to find MC not by her side, but by a small fireplace, muttering to himself as he documents what happened to them that day. MC looked up, smiling at her. Poppy felt a breath of content as she looked at MC with adoration, watching him get up and give her a kiss on the forehead. Poppy would never tire the scent of his cologne, the wheat and barley notes laced with blackcurrent, fig and musk gives off a honeyed scent of home for her. MC puts out the fire and went back to bed with her, holding her tight. No matter where she is, Poppy is home as long as MC is with her.

Imelda Reyes : Frederic Malle's Geranium Pour Monsieur

She did it! She finally got the cup for Slytherin and her hard work paid off at last. Imelda proudly showed the Qudditch cup for all of Hogwarts to see, joining in the frenzy of her team mates. When the celebration high was over, Imelda quietly went to the side of the Quidditch arena where no one could see her, where MC was waiting. He gave a smirk that made her knees go weak, as she landed in his arms. She began to tell him on how she scored all her points while MC listened intently. Imelda secretly counted her blessings that MC wasn't too keen on playing, he would have made for tough competition. MC then brushed away the few stray hairs that came out of Imelda's pony tail, his scent teasing her nose. Oh she hated that scent at first but now, Imelda relishes in it. That fresh sharp mint laced with clove and cinnamon tingled her nose and seduced her every sense. Imelda would never admit how giggly and happy MC's touch made her felt. She was done the minute MC gave her a kiss on her lips, whispering before kissing her with passion. Imelda melted at his words. "That's my girl."

Natsai Onai : Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme

Come on, focus MC! Natty called out as they dueled each other at the belltower courtyard just to merely sharpen their skills. MC gave a knowing smirk that Natty braced herself for. Oh he played dirty, casting a Flippendo that made her turn in the air, but she didn't expect Accio as she felt that force pulling her directly on MC. Oh, she is really making a plan to make sure her feet are back on the ground so she can make her move, MC didn't play fair. What she didn't expect was MC to give her a passionate kiss. Natty smiled as she held MC tight, inhaling that fresh citrus scent that gave way to the warm hint of nutmeg and sandalwood. To make it even more alluring, MC's body heat and sweat made it even stronger, making Natty's head swirl as she forgot MC's move on her earlier. He's smart on how to make it up to her with those smooth moves. What Natty didn't count on was the both of them parted rather hurriedly and tried to compose themselves when Lucan Brattleby cleared his throat.

Samantha Dale : Tom Ford's Mandarino di Amalfi

Why does he keep wearing that perfume?! Samantha is going to go nuts if MC wears that every time they cross paths. Her friends are saying she is going insane, or maybe she needs to plug her nostrils. One of her friends even teased the fact she might be attracted to MC just by scent alone. She rolled her eyes on that thought. What she didn't count was MC approaching her after class. Samantha is trying not to breath when MC approaches, but her nose betrays her. That teasing citrus, now laced with some jasmine and the slight spice of pepper made its way into her brain again. This time, the perfume was more... musky? Why oh why she was cursed with a sensitive nose. Please MC, be quick about it. Samantha had to pause for a bit when MC asked if she would like to go out with him. Her jaw dropped as her friends gasped, that one friend had that 'told you so' expression on her face. Samantha found herself nodding as MC kissed her hand, saying that he plans to take her to a nearby lemon farm for their first date. She will never admit it, but inside, she was screaming with glee.

Shadows of Reach - Fun, heartbreaking read and in the words of BDG, like a “super cheap margarita” because I am worse off after the fact, but it was tasty and I could slam it quickly.

Anyways thoughts on Man vs Machine themes- spoilers below

Several times in the book, John is either injured or is in scenarios where his performance metrics are brought up. With his leg injury, before the mesh, he worries about tearing the muscle more because it will drop his performance down to 85% rather than the 94% he was currently working at.

He thinks of his leg only as a variable in mission success and a nuisance as it is constantly causing him pain, but he’s had worse. What’s a melted quad in the face of failing the mission?

The scene where they are running in the trench back to New Mohacs and Kelly and Fred do not let John sacrifice himself and move to the back points out they notice his drop in efficiency, do not let him follow protocol, and keep him safe in the middle and moving. He was about to pull a John move, was not allowed, and then mentally said how he would have done the same for any other spartan. Sir, sir please, treat yourself how you would treat other Spartans.

John also brings up the suit keeping him at optimal performance temperature during the attack on the grav lifts. Not comfortable, but alive and functioning enough.

John’s trains of thought in this book are fun to read and also a nightmare as you piece together his logic and the way he thinks about himself, his team, Halsey, and his life. John keeps thinking about himself in terms of a machine doing a job, his teammates as his family and extensions of himself and who he worries about, and then also thinking about himself as a teacher and “wise old leader“ now. These conflicting bits kill me because every so often in the books or other media, John will think “Huh if I survive this long enough to retire I could go into x“ and then he jumps off things or sets off nukes.

This mission is a constant reminder of the Spartans’ mortality while also reinforcing how they don’t really see themselves as human. They are not allowed to break. John almost sent Kelly back alone because the mission came first but realized she needed him to help lift the other part of the rubble in Castle base. And then the end, the pelican ride with ODSTs not looking at the beat up, supposedly immortal Blue Team with their broken, melted armor and injuries. They are not allowed to break, they can only go MIA! People aren’t used to seeing their symbols marred by vulnerability!

AND THEN! And then Halsey! Halsey gets teary eyed at her greatest creations?

Okay like I know 343i had to make Denning write and set up Infinite and I’m not too bothered but still. It’s ...interesting and I do want to see where they take it because I think Halsey is a fun take on Scientist tropes.

Catherine “For the greater good and also to see if I can” Halsey gets emotional about Blue Team being so messed up. I know this is pointing to whatever they got from the base and it’s supposed to make the reader pause and go huh? Halsey? emotions?

Anyways if they do what I think they’re doing I will yell.

Anyways look at this section where John reflects and thank you for reading all these words I just spat out. Do not think about Cortana’s quotes from Halo 4 while reading this book or you will have a bad time. :o)

Analysis To the Max! - “Baymax!” Trailer Breakdown

So the second trailer for Baymax! dropped a couple of days ago, and now that I’m not burning my skin off outside delivering packages (95 degrees in May?  Really?), I noticed a few things that we need to talk about.

We know that the show is six episodes long, and it appears that each episode will focus on one person in particular: the young girl, the food truck guy, the old woman, the cat, Aunt Cass, and Hiro.  We don’t know any of the new characters’ names yet AFAIK (aside from the food truck guy, whose name is Ali according to his VA Zeno Robinson), but we’ll get to that a bit later.

The older woman’s house is remarkably untouched for being a futuristic city.  Plot point?

Hiro keeps his alarm at 7:30 AM.  My dude, it’s summer.  You’re a madman.

Baymax is part ninja, vanishing in the morning.  We know later in the trailer that Hiro retrofits his carrying case to let him travel around the city, so this particular blurb is probably from the first episode.

Enter in Cat, whom I will name Cat because he doesn’t have a name yet.

Good job, Baymax.  Ramen is delicious, but not Counter-Ramen. Or Hair Ramen. (I wonder if this is Ali’s food truck.  Probably not.)

Hiro has a brand-new neurotransmitter for the Microbots, which (in an ironic twist of fate) he uses to track down Baymax, the opposite of what was in the movie.

I do wonder what the “issue” that Baymax is trying to fix with Ali.  The old woman seems to be having actual health problems.  Ali’s problem doesn’t seem medical.

This is the same shot from the first trailer, which raises a question: who is the girl on the right?  It’s probably a random cafe-goer checking on her, but I don’t know why I keep thinking it’s Honey Lemon.  It’s clearly not. Unless it is. But it’s not. Unless...

OK, so it does look like that the new characters will be connected a little bit, because we get shots of Luna and the old woman, plus her and the cat.

So...singular stories, all interconnecting with each other in possibly an overreaching plot?  Sounds like a series that we all know and love.

Just without the killer Noodle Burger robots and people wanting to take over the world.

It’s still a shame that it looks increasingly likely we won’t get an appearance from HL, Go Go, Wasabi, or Fred, as they weren’t in this trailer either.  We might get a mention, but probably not anything else.

It’s going to be a different sort of series from what we’re used too, but who knows?  This may be the jumpstart to other things that BH6 may need.

Don’t worry too much about it, though...

MY REVIEW

I really loved this story. I think it may be my favorite of the Ever After Series. Evie is just the cutest character ever. I just love her and her relationship with Leo is so sweet. Leo and Gia have a wonderful, loud, caring and adorable family. They have always taken care of Harper and Evie. Harper struggles with independence issues. She is the one who always seems to be the third wheel. Harper and Leo have wonderful chemistry. Their story is so sweet and romantic.

This book is full of romance, love, loyalty and happily ever afters. I loved reading this book. Lea Coll is an amazing romance writer. Her stories are so heartfelt and romantic. She has a beautiful way of portraying her characters and the struggles they go through. This book is a prime example of this. Harper struggles with self esteem issues and loneliness. Something everyone struggles with at one time or another through life.

I can't wait till Gia's story is written. It will be epic.
