Writer Josie Campbell in her AIPT Comics interview on her Mary characterization in the upcoming The New Champion of Shazam! miniseries.
#Pre-Crisis Mary is very much is a delight and I personally think that she has the best fight dialogue out of all the Marvels#hmm I know that there are some panels of particularly fun fight scene quips going around on the internet#but I hadn't thought about how that would make some people's only point of reference for her those panels#or how a writer might consider that#I don't think we've seen New 52 Mary be particularly quippy before but I hope Campbell can pull off that dialogue magic#I like her distinction about Mary being the only one who has had to grapple with trying to make her life her own#I think that that's most noticeable with New 52 Mary in her trying to find an identity outside of the foster family#but I think we also saw that specific to her hero life with Pre and Post-Crisis Mary trying to make a name for themselves#outside of their association with Captain Marvel#dc#marvel family#mary batson#my posts#interviews
