I kinda thought of a cute moment with Rongo and his sons

One day, Nocturne had to take a shift at the hospital and they couldn’t find a babysitter, so Rongo took the twins with him to the Bada-Bing Tower.

They didn’t really do anything that day but it was kinda awkward at first seeing Rongo walking in with two babies (one in a baby carrier and the other in a baby car seat) being like, ‘I couldn’t find a babysitter and Nocturne had a shift at the hospital.’

And most of day he’s thinking, ‘God I’m a horrible dad for exposing my kids to the mafia this early.’ but everyone decides to just stay in the tower and play with the babies.

Hoaxy and Slackerjack just gush over how adorable the two are

Injaneno is talking with Rongo being like, ‘Why didn’t you tell me you were married and had a family now?!’ But he eventually plays with the twins as well.

No-Bot doesn’t really interact with the two but he does like them.

Been meaning to draw him for *months*. I mean, look at him. He’s a big scary nightmare monster beast that both eats people...and is also a giant dork that wears thick glasses and gets his feelings hurt.

Okay man, i know its not the main focus of this translation but its good to get something close to an answer about how old Moso Monmon/Hoaxy Coaxy is supposed to be. That REALLY confused me?? Like his voiceacting in both english and japanese sounds like a grown man and his design has nothing communicating that he's a child, i mean he's a friggin ten foot tall floating head. And he gets so little dialogue in the main story that there's no real indication there either. But then Slackerjack in the postgame suddenly calls him "Little Coaxy" and "he was formed from ghoulfather's inner child"?? And he calls him "a good child" but he calls literally every one of his friends that, so yeah

So like is Hoaxy Coaxy actually meant to be younger than he looks????

I dunno i think that makes me really uncomfortable considering how much sexual fanart this dude has got. Like i can absolutely understand that probably none of those people realized he was a child either, seriously its not often some 40 year old lookin dude was suddenly revealed to be 12 only in a missable sidequest.

And like...even tho i'm not one of those people who enjoys sexual fanart, i still liked the theory that he was Directator/Mr Movien's father cos they look so similar. But now i feel uncomfortable with that if this dude was actually meant to be underage this entire time. But also its really hard to imagine they made them look so similar by accident!!!

Uhhh new possible theory: Hoaxy is the log.

Which is possibly the weirdest sentence i have ever written.

Cos the mushroom madame carries that log with the mushrooms on it and she cryptically calls it "the child"? And Hoaxy's daydream dimensions have an aesthetic of mushroomy decorations everywhere which is why people were connecting him to her in the first place. (Well, that and also just HAVING THREE CHARACTERS WITH IDENTICAL PINK AFROS IS KINDA NOTICEABLE) So i dunno lol, mushroom lady is randomly bringing mushrooms to life as yokai and i guess Directator is actually Hoaxy's older brother despite appearances.

...seriously i really cannot wrap my head around it. Are we sure he's not just a grownup who talks childishly? If he really is meant to be a kid then wow writers you failed at conveying that and its kinda your own fault.

...wow that would really suck to be a kid who was born lookin old. And also a ten foot tall floating head. Man yokai watch is weird.
