A/N: I have the idea in my mind, I can see it happening, can I put it into words? Let’s see. Also, sorry if it’s too short but I think it turned out cute for the prompt. Anyway, MY FIRST CARLOS SAINZ IMAGINE

Now that is is summer break and Carlos has announced he was going to Williams, he decided to go boxing with his trainer at the gym.

“Hola Carlos, ready to begin your session?” His trainer, Emilio asked.

“Of course, let’s get started, cabrón.” Carlos said. Him and Emiliowere doing some basic punching combos, Carlos was practicing his footwork, when he saw a woman walk in and immediately started using a punching bag. Since carlos was distracted, Emilio hit him upside the head.

“Focus, man, i thought you wanted to box today.” Emilio said.

“I do but who is that?” Carlos asked.

“You’re kidding.” The trainer said looking at the woman and back at Carlos. “I think it’s better if you stick to dating models.”

“Her name, cabrón.” Carlos said,

“Her name is Y/N L/N, she is an MMA fighter, she’s the UFC Featherweight champion for 2023.” Emilio said.

“You think I can spar with her?” Carlos asked.

“Ha! I’d like to see you try. L/N!” Emilio shouted, Y/N turned around.

“Gutiérrez, you know better than to shift my name in a public gym, what’s up.” Y/N said, walking towards the two men, taking off her gloves.

“My client here wants to spar with you.” Emilio said.

“Carlos Sainz, nice to meet you.” Carlos said, extending his hand, Y/N shook his hand.

“Think you can go toe to toe with me, pretty boy?” Y/N asked, stepping closer to Carlos so their noses were almost touching.

“Why not? I’ll give you the first shot.” Carlos said, Y/N stepped back, releasing his hand.

“Haha, okay, You’re confident, let’s see how confident you are in the ring.” Y/N said, walking toward the boxing ring they had further into the gym. Carlos was in shock but Emilio pushed him to start walking, Y/N was already inside the ring.

“Alright, I got these two helmets because Y/N would probably kill you since you suck at blocking.” Emilio told Carlos and Y/N snickered. “Y/N blue, you red.” They put on their helmets and Y/N put in her mouth guard. Emilio helped Y/N and Carlos lace up their gloves. “Great, touch gloves, and spar.

Carlos severely underestimated how it would be like to spar Y/N. You know how people feel pretty stupid one they find out Formula 1 is a serious sport and that driving a kart at 300 kilometers an hour isn’t easy? Carlos is feeling really stupid for wanting to spar with a UFC featherweight champion when he only boxes every other week (probably). Y/N was obviously winning, at one point, Y/N was straddling Carlos and had his wrists pinned to the mat until Emilio called time. Carlos winked at Y/N before she got off him and helped him up.

“Gotta hand it to you, pretty boy, you did pretty well for an F1 driver.” Y/N said.

“You know who I am?” Carlos asked.

“Well i obviously had to google you after meeting you since you’re Emilio’s client.” Y/N said,

“Well since I already had you on top of me..” Carlos started and Y/N laughed “..do you want to get lunch right now? I’ll pay.”

“That sounds great, I’ll shower and change so we can go.” Y/N said,

Late Night Shift

Summary: Night Shifts are the norm for the employee. But they wished that they skipped upon meeting a particular customer.

"Why did I take tonight's position?" They groan behind the counter. Brushing their hair back, they hum at the popcorn popping. The clock strikes 3 and makes them sit up straight.

M starts to greet the sudden customers to watch in the witching hour. She maintains her composure as watching the shadows. Since a young age, M has been able to communicate and see hellions. Able to see the differences, she's been able to avoid trouble.

Stretching, she turns to the slushie machine to make her cup. "I'm glad that I can get free snacks. Hopefully, theater 10 is empty to watch a movie." She chimes, sipping on her slush. In the corner of her eye, she smiles at two light orbs nudging her cheek.

Before she can greet back, she feels chills going down her spine. The spirits hid behind her back as the doors opened. M knows the exact sensation and tries to get through the encounter. "Do you have any alcohol?" The voice brings her back to the present. Making eye contact, she smiles and nods. "I will need an ID. What would you like?"

Seeing the flashing ID, she heads to the bar taps, and they grab a glass. M manages to get the drink right and fill it to the brim. "Hmm, aren't you going to say anything about my look?" The question makes her confused until seeing the unique features. Their mopped hair covers their eyes, the black-tipped clawed fingers, and a combo of horns and devilish tail. Biting her lip, she smiles and scoffs.

"I'm not gonna judge your style, chico. But cool accessories." She hands the glass and goes back to attend to another customer. Glancing, she sees them gone and goes back to the job.

At the local pub, M enjoys her fruity drink and zones out. The comforting place after a shift and to avoid fake companions. Dowing her glass, she manages to spot a familiar mop of bleached hair. Before panic sinks in, she slides into the leather when they appear across her.

"Hola...Can I help you?" She smiles awkwardly. But her eyes can't help to see the tail swaying. Hearing them snicker, they groan at how they show interest. They roll their eyes and scan how the shadows have gone behind her to cover.

With the alcohol in her system, M becomes sober to handle the stranger from earlier. Though, they know that the fiend won't leave for a while. Like earlier, they get ready to play naive and entertain them to get through the night.

Así que me di a la tarea de invocarlas y dejarlas navegar por el océano sin reglas en el que estábamos. Now, I don't hate raisins but I very much don't love either... I just won't stop eating something because it has raisins in it 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I obviously texted him to thank him for such a beautiful present and I wasn't even going to mention the raisins but HE himself brought it up and I asked, why raisins? And he says:

"Because of that book you were reading where the characters expressed their love by eating each other's raisins..."

To which I reply by explaining to him that it wasn't exactly like that and basically proceed to explain all the nuances of TLND Malec...

And it wasn't until hours later when I was talking to my favorite cousin that I realized (she pointed out) that he had used the motherfucking raisins to tell me he has feelings for me 🤦🏻‍♀️

No wonder I'm so chronically single, I can't tell when people like me 😭

¡Hola Pikmina! Me alegro de verte por aquí, eché un vistazo en su día a los dos esqueletos de sistema que publicaste.

Desgraciadamente, aquí no puedo estar de acuerdo del todo contigo: creo de verdad que los sistemas de dados complejos no funcionan en foros.

Y lo digo por experiencia: yo era uno de esos frikis que renegaba de los amateur que crean sus propios sistemas, porque cómo iba yo, aburrido en mi casa, a crear algo más completo y equilibrado que un equipo de profesionales que dedican meses y dinero al testeo, equilibrado y revisado de su trabajo. Así que abogaba, como todo niño bueno, por usar en mis foros el reglamento de manuales tal cual, sin tocar.

Y es cierto que se consiguen cosas con más profundidad y mejor equilibradas si se elige bien, pero a la práctica, el rol por foro es un ecosistema totalmente diferente e impone sus propias exigencias.

Por poner un ejemplo rápido, muchos sistemas oficiales incluyen tiradas de defensa/esquiva/etc. Esto en un foro no es viable, porque el ritmo actual promedio es el que es, y depender no sólo de la tirada del atacante sino también de la del defensor, implica tardar el doble en poder postear cada turno de combate, lo que resulta en escenas interminables.

Y esto mismo se extrapola a media docena de situaciones más. Así que por gorda que me la pongan los manuales de Anima o de ciertos juegos japoneses, con sus mil posibilidades y combos chetos, no se pueden usar en foro tal cual.

Lo que sí se puede, y se debe hacer, es elaborar un sistema tan rápido y ligero como sea posible que, a cambio, ofrezca tantas posibilidades de construcción de personaje como se pueda.

Estoy cansado de ver foros con sistemas que me hacen leer una cantidad inmunda de posts, tablas y reglas para al final, darme cuenta de que la libertad de construcción que ofrecen es mínima: elegir clase, raza, repartir cuatro puntos de característica y ale, a subir ataque y defensa indefinidamente. ¡Esto es aburrido y hace que todos los personajes acaben siendo iguales!

Cuando estás diseñando un sistema, hay que pensar en cuántos arquetipos de personaje realmente diferentes puedes crear con él, cuántas formas de jugar. Si no tienes más una docena, hay que volver a empezar. A todo el mundo le gusta que su personaje sea único, y hay que luchar por un sistema que permita elaborar infinidad de personajes únicos no sólo narrativamente, sino también a la hora de funcionar en escenas de acción.

Por otro lado, creo que importar sistemas ya fabricados por terceros a tu foro nunca es una buena opción. Si no te gustan los sistemas, lo mejor que puedes hacer es que tu foro sea narrativo. Pero si le pones dados, tu sistema necesitará de constante revisión y de decenas de correcciones, en un proceso que sólo puede llevarse a cabo con la experiencia. Lo que sobre el papel parecía una idea cojonuda puede ser desastroso cuando lo pones en práctica en tu foro y con tus jugadores, y lo que en otro lugar sería un potencial fracaso puede funcionar a las mil maravillas en tu casa.

Todas esas correcciones, revisiones y actualizaciones con ideas nuevas son vitales para mantener el sistema tan vivo como el resto del foro, y no pueden llevarse a cabo si el staff se ha limitado a importar un sistema genérico y desentenderse porque o no entienden del asunto o simplemente no les gusta.

En resumen: sistemas complicados no, sistemas con infinitas posibilidades de personalización y buildeo sí.

But you're defo onto something when you talk about how Megumi looks like he doesn't care about what he wears as long as he's comfortable.

It's kind of interesting to see that even in the Dolce & Gabbana + JJK collab, despite the print on his clothes, Megumi is dressed rather plainly compared to the other characters (barring Nobara, I'm surprised Nobara's outfit also looks very boring).

Trasfondo:

Los orígenes exactos de Faunus son desconocidos, se dice que fue encontrado de bebé por una bruja en búsqueda de frutos y hierbas para sus pócimas, flotando en un río dentro de una canasta cubierto por un manto azul y crema. Esta lo llevó a cercanías del pueblo consumido por corrupción ambiental, lugar donde fue clasificado como un presagio por los viejos sabios… Bueno o malo, era un misterio.

Faunus fue un niño peculiar, no articulaba las palabras correctamente, pero poseía un nivel muy avanzado de lectura digno de admirar, los libros de artes mágicas eran sus preferidos. Sin embargo, a los 20 años descubrió su amor por aquello perdido ante expediciones de grupos dominantes en estas tierras, maldecidas décadas atrás. Decidido a buscar lo extraviado por el tiempo y desgracias, tomó sus cosas y emprendió una búsqueda hacia lo desconocido.

En uno de sus viajes, una fuerza misteriosa lo atrajo hacia el interior de una cueva y, en dicho lugar, se reveló un semidiós hada. Tras una larga charla, admitió que su cuerpo físico no iba a durar mucho tiempo en pie y necesitaba de alguien para continuar su legado. El ciervo se sintió conmovido tanto por la historia como el hecho de que obtendría conocimientos antiguos extra.

El semidiós demandó un corazón de dragón como tarea final del ritual. Luego de unos minutos de pánico, el alma de su maestro apareció para aclarar algunos detalles y se marchó para siempre. Faunus tomó la ropa de su cadáver y regresó a casa, fue suficiente aventura por una temporada.

- A pesar de ser un potente usuario mágico, es pésimo en peleas cuerpo a cuerpo debido a sus capacidades motoras reducidas, una razón por la cual pide opciones pacíficas antes de llegar a lo físico. Aunque no dudaría de utilizar sus astas para intentar herir sus enemigos.

- Es autista e hiperléxico, lo segundo dejó asombrados a todos de niño y se le consideró un genio, asunto que lo irritaba porque le daban más atención de lo deseado. Ni siquiera de adulto soporta ser el centro de atención, pero es complicado cuando eres un semidiós coqueto a cargo de un bosque mágico. ^Si escribo al respecto de una manera incorrecta, déjame saber.

- Una Iglesia fue construida donde llevó a cabo su truco de gracia para proteger el árbol de peligros externos. Han pasado casi 4 siglos desde aquel día, pero Leolass Solios (Guardián de la Iglesia) asegura que podría suceder en cualquier momento, lo presiente.

- Sus frutos se llaman “Fruta del Sol”, las cuales poseen un sabor dulce y picante como el sol del mediodía. También son recolectadas del árbol para realizar sustancias anti-corrupción y las ramas como conductores de magia.

Background:

The exact origins of Faunus are unknown, it is said that he was found as a baby by a witch in search of fruits and herbs for her potions, floating in a river inside a basket covered by a blue and cream cloak. Then she took him to the surroundings of the village consumed by environmental corruption, a place where it was classified as an omen by the old wise people... Good or bad, it was a mystery.

Faunus was a peculiar child, they did not articulate words correctly, but they had a very advanced reading level worthy of admiration, books on magical arts were their favorite. However, at the age of 20 he discovered his love for what was lost in the face of expeditions of dominant groups in these lands, cursed decades ago. It has been the most unpleasant thing in the deer's life, so much that such an act led them to faint.

He came back to life feeling different, not sick, just… Different. He looked to the sides and witnessed something that made him emit a horrifying cry; It was his body, lying on the ground and lifeless. After a few minutes of panic, the soul of his mentor appeared to clarify some details and went away forever. Faunus took the clothes from their corpse and returned home, that was adventure enough for a season.

Over time he discovered that his act led him to ascend as the new fairy demigod, the dragon he saved chased him to the village and became his right hand, by law he was appointed to be the new guardian of the forest and everything was going decently... Until decades later he had to perform a trick of grace to save his people from ultimate corruption, his newer body was transformed into a sacred Treant as a method of regeneration. Centuries have passed and the most faithful descendants are still waiting for their rebirth.
