AM I NORMAL YET? (the spinster club #1)
'You. Evelyn. You're always like, 'I wish I could be like this' or 'I wish I could be more like so-and-so'. You're obsessed with being normal, but that's well boring, and you're extraordinary, Evie. Promise me you'll stop trying to stop stop being you'

Best books of the decade
So because I’m an idiot I just straight up forgot to make this post so I’m doing it now. Thanks to @rayonfrozenwings for the tag!
1. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowlilng. I’m not sure how much of this I read this decade, but I know I read most of it in 2010. They were the first “real” books I ever read and they have a special place in my heart just for that.
2. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. Acomaf is to this day one of the best books I have ever read, but this whole series is just great. I’m super invested in these characters and I can’t wait for the Nessian book.
3. Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Absolutely amazing. Made me laugh, made me cry, gave me the most relatable piece of text about bisexuality ever.
4. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Look, it’s iconic and shaped my reading life forever and got me back into reading.
5. The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. *insert Lady Gaga adjective gif here* that’s it, that’s the book.
6. The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne. All of her books really belong here, but this will have to do because I had to pick and choose and this one was the best and most impactful. But seriously, just read all of her books.
7. The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare. Another one of the series that got me back into reading. I loved this when I started and it’s only improved over time with all of the new books being released.
8. Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. It’s hilarious, it’s romantic, it’s occasionally sad. It’s just a really fun to read.
9. Did I Mention I Love You by Estelle Maskame. This just pulled me in with each installment and made me keep reading until I finshed the book that same day. And it did this with every installment of the series.
10. Hoe God Verdween uit Jorwert by Geert Mak. Very different from the rest of the books on this list. It’s a non-fiction book about the demise of a small town in Friesland, The Netherlands after world war two. As someone who lived in that part of the Netherlands for most of my life and who has a lot of family in towns like Jorwert this was a story that hit very close to home for me. It was very good , but also very sad.
So yeah, these were the best books of the decade/my life for me. It’s a bit late to tag people, but if you see this and like it, please feel free to do it.
