I think the movie series is one of the better adaptations of the books. I loved them as a teen, but now as an adult, i feel they left a lot to be desired when it comes to the books core message and the portrayal of its main characters, specifically Peeta and Katniss, who get the most short end of the stick. The movies takes a very superficial look at series and kinda gloss over the emotional and physical turmoil the games and the capitol puts onto the victors and the people of Panem. Of course, if they WERE completely faithful to the books, I think the rating of the movies would have to be changed to depict them accurately (because holy cow, theres a LOT of dark subject matter in the books) . Which is why I sincerely long for a fully faithful uncensored adaption so badly!!

My loved the movies as a young teen. I read the first hunger games book before the movie came out, but watched CF first because my dad bought me two copies of the Hunger Games for some reason, then Mockingjay, so to this day, I'm still missing a physical copy of CF. But I still love the books more than any series in my life. I don't think anything aside from maybe ASIOAF can top my love for Peeta and Katniss.

btw i wanted to enjoy it really hard but. gonna b honest process of elimination was an absolute slog. like objectively bad danganronpa wannabe. there’s a LOT of unnecessary dialogue, poor casewriting, and above all else it is what i like to call Unlimited Game With No Game. i understand its a visual novel but much of its overarching story didnt mesh with its theme of valuing life/choosing the ugly truth, and in general it wasn’t very cohesive. like they just ran with their first rough draft without a beta. theres literally Hours of dialogue sandwiching the actual gameplay which i know is the point because visual novels are all about dialogue but its all dialogue that sucks to read and doesnt do a good job of conveying what they intend to convey. i appreciate the additional character scenes but certain character dynamics were overlooked or poorly executed. also bookworm’s whole gag of accusing incompetent of being a lolicon is annoying. her constantly ragging on posh got even more annoying. the shower scene was weird. ideal being like “you Should peek in on the women actually” was funny until i realized hey, theyre just having her do this so they can have the gratuitous shower scene and not because it really says anything about ideal. like i Guess shes “childish” and also wildly repressed her childishness so shes acting out now while she can, but again, gratuitous shower scene is gratuitous shower scene, and its even more annoying considering bookworm is 11 years old. actually most of this game felt like mashing together the genre’s cliches without understanding how they work or providing cohesive build-up or tension to plot points at their climax. excellent voice-acting though holy cow i love you anzu suzuki mwah mwah mwah beautiful performance as downtown.

What inspired you to start up 3d modeling, and were there any guides out there that helped you get started? Also if you had one tip (or more) for beginners what would it be?

i was really into mmd as a teenager and wanted to make my ocs firstly, but my main push to from-scratch modeling instead of frankensteining models was that i wanted to put majima goro in different outfits and render them out in sfm or blender. those old men ruined my life. however a lot of my early learning was just messing around in pmx editor for mmd models and messing around in metasequoia 4, so i dont really have a ton of direct tutorials for beginners wanting to get into 3d modeling. the only tip i can give is to not use the donut tutorial and instead id recommend this absolute complete beginners tutorial series.

one more thing i can say is that dont trust people on the internet when they act hyperbolic about how hard blender is to learn. like holy cow it isnt rocket science, but of course theres a little bit of a learning curve because like. its a new skill. of course its going to be hard. but screaming and crying about how overwhelming the blender ui looks without even bothering to look at a tutorial does nothing but discourage you AND other people wanting to get into this form of art. practice and exposure and GOOGLING makes perfect yknow

the main theme is sci-fi style political intrigue, aka a bunch of alien empires pointing fingers at each other. a handful of the species are like... fancy kemonomimis but i kept the ultra beasts (and deoxys) in the party as well!

its actually the subject of the save ive been working on too, which... i think my building tag for it was #ultra save? i need to share the sims too but a lot of them need sometouching up since my sim style has kept shifting ASDFGHJ but its fun to try and 'push the limits' of what i can do to realize the world and the inhabitants in the sims!!

HOLY SHIT WAIT REALLY...... omg now im so shy....... i mean i have so much...... theyve been an interest of mine since i was Small... i think this also stems from my love of "Unsettling Toys" in general (i collect old rushton/general rubber faced toys from the 20s-80s too)!!! also full disclosure IF i had been a kid when fn*f would have come out i would have been obsessed with it most likely. so no hate to it (but Lots of hate to the piece of shit creator LOL)!

if i wasn't so bad at math i'dve been an engineer.. its my dream to work on them (literally any, not just d*sney, though it sucks how few are left in Mainstream Settings outside of the parks!) because i love their workings and the process of how they're made and operated!! buuut at the risk of sounding like a wikipedia article i won't get into that and i'll do my best to keep it short ! under a cut anyway just because i dont want to be annoying ;-;

mm just a quick tw i will be posting pictures of old/tarnished/out of service anima's below and i don't want to scare anyone! but the tone of the thread is Very Loving so no scary content/facts here! <3

i REALLY love the pizzaria/General Eatery Establishment ones in their heydays (i would have loved to have seen the showbiz pizza palace ones ;-; they are So endearing to me...). theres loots of iterations of the showbiz ones so keeping it brief, i really like the wolf pack 5:

the tropical bear, the wolf in a suit, the sweet-looking fox are all pretty predictable likes for me, but this one specifically is extra cool to me since it was apparently loosely inspired by rocky horror! and aahhh something that i really wish i could have seen was when they had a yogi bear collaboration!! ;-; hana barbara was a massive part of my childhood so combining two interests like that would have probably made my Child Head explode LOL. but look at how cute they are! and how BIG yogi is!! AAHH!! as far as i'm aware these never saw the light of day outside of test runs at just a few small locations, but i would haev loved to see them in motion! ;-;

and of course i absolutely adore the circus world pizzaria ones, OUWAAA ;-; their faces were just too darling! even disassembled animatronics always look so gorgeous to me... look at her dainty golden necklace.. and her little fangs! so beautiful! truly works of art!!!

another genre of my favorites are actually ones that aren't "tied down", too!! the dinosaur at disney world that can walk around the parks was SUPER cool (though ive never seen it in person), but i really love the older ones since i don't think they get as much love as d*sneys and i Firmly believe they have souls and you should treat them kindly because if they dont kill you for being Cruel i will. y__y but anyway!

elsie!! she is SO precious very important to me... if youve known me for longer than five minutes you know i love cows, bulls and bovine in general (and horses... <3) so this one should come as no surprise. her voice also just prickles my skin in just the right way.. its very soothing to me! she was a portable animatronic (but honestly maybe more like a puppet!) that could be operated to interact with guests and was used to pitch borden's dairy products back in the day! here's some choice pictures of her, isnt she gorgeous!! ;-;

of course i could make a whole separate post on JUST my love for the disney animatronics just because they were the ones i readily had access too knowledge-wise. i didn't have internet at home growing up so i didn't find out about a lot of these until way later! ;;-;; or if i just so happened to find out about them through weird Word Of Mouth or "hey dutch you like creepy shit! check this out!" and it would be the most darling sensational little creatures ive ever seen in my life... <3 ANYWAY here are some of my favorite disney ones! quick disclaimer that i am Very Critical of The Rat and this is not an endorsement to the company's past (and present lol) Shitty Behavior!

small world and the tiki room are probably my favorite attractions to this day just because i love the history behind the makings of them and the animatronics themselves; the showgirl birds in the tiki room and the singing flowers... wow! and i could go on and on about the incredible textile work alice davis did on the small world dolls! did you know that its a small world was originally made in support for unicef? and the dolls need haircuts every now and then, too! hehe! each piece of clothing down to the shoes was handmade and while its quite dated by this point in time i can't help but hold a soft spot for it. i'm probably one of the few people who still love the song, too!

i'd additionally like to praise the animatronics for 20,000 leagues under the sea (SO devastated i never got to ride it!); the sea monsters and the legendary kraken!! AAHH!! so very iconic and amazing feats of engineering, especially when grappling with water at the time!! seeing these abandoned and ultimately totally stripped down and tossed in landfills (yes. landfills lol) makes me want to cry. i would have taken all of these little darlings home with me!! ;-; ridethroughs of this are of shoddy quality for multiple reasons, some of which were the fault of poor ride maintenance but it's to be expected given the nature of the ride.

some other ones i'd like to note are the america sings animatronics, who were eventually repurposed into splash mountain background characters (and YES i am glad they are finally retiring and letting princess tiana have her extremely overdue spotlight!! i am SO excited for the new patf ride!!). i think the gators are so handsome!! >//u//< but i also love the details on the hens/chickens. the feathers look so plush and perfectly capture that Cartoonish texture Over-exaggeration SO flawlessly!! look at their "fingers"! so dainty!

ok to start those are all great songs. Thnks fr th Mmrs is one of my personal faves cause i grew up listening to that song. however did you know that song has a lead in song? fall out boy has many segue songs; a song whos end flows seamlessly into the beginning of the next. Golden, the song before TFTM is gorgeous and i loooove listening to it, especially since the transition to thnks is so dramatic sounding. Last of the Real Ones is also a big ol song for me. it is, admittedly, on several of my character playlists. now im gonna go by album. ill admit right here i dont listen to take this to your grave very often so. its. not gonna be on here. off of from under the cork tree. theres a lot of good songs but the two i come back to are another segue pair, Get Busy (im not writing the whole title its their longest one) and XO. i love the transition, but both of those songs are absolutely wonderful as standalones.

infinity on high is where things start ramping up in terms of songs i like off of it. ignoring the popular ones because i also like those, and golden that i already talked about. I'm Like a Lawyer is such a nice sounding song I like it a lot. The lyrics are really good (as usual, i will gush about fob lyrics), and the music is very upbeat and fun, the contrast between the lyrics and the music should be stark but they go well together. The (After) Life of the Party is another absolutely gorgeous song holy shiiiit. i love that song so much it sounds gorgeous. fun to belt, fun to listen to, 10/10. Bang the Doldrums is one of the songs i listen to most frequently, and like a lot of fob songs, especially on IOH and FAD, it has a little section right before the ending chorus that has lyrics thatll kill you. Fame>Infamy is such a fun song to listen to, but i have to say the switch from minor to major in the middle blows me away every time. its so gorgeous. Crashing is fantastic but the subject matter is so heavy i have to be like. prepared to listen to it. love it to bits.

Folie a Deux is hard because thats. like my first or second favorite album. but this album FUCKS HARD. a lot of the songs on here have orchestral parts to it that makes them absolutely gorgeous. The first song, Disloyal Order of Water Buffalo, is gorgeous, big, loud, and dramatic and i love it. Headfirst Slide is also great and i love it and i wish i had his range holy cow. (Shipped) Gold Standard is great and i love trying to sing that little genre change at the part before the last chorus its so fun. [Coffee's for Closers] is. wowie wow wow. This song is why i think people who didnt like folie were just upset that it didnt sound like their perfect little emo songs because holy shit this song slaps. This song perfectly combines fall out boys version of emo with orchestral music. its honestly a fucking tragedy more people dont listen to it. What a Catch is so great, i just cant listen to it all the time because its so sad. which is understandable given the songs context. however, it does make for a funny little "hey is that [insert another famous musician that hangs with fall out boy a lot]" moment. W.A.M.S. is one of my all time faves and is one of the reasons Im learning bass guitar! still cant play that! fuck you pete your bass lines fuck severely but are so complicated for me to play! I also love West Coast Smoker. high energy belt/scream song. also not on the album proper but on the delux edition, love me Pavlove!

Save Rock and Roll has so many bangers, but did you know theres a music video for every song on this album and all the music videos tell a story? its really cool. again, skipping the popular ones. Alone Together is such a pretty song. that song sounds so good. Where Did the Party Go is so fun. I love their fun songs theyre fun to dance around to. Now, if I had to choose ONE FOB song as my all time fave? Miss Missing You. Holy fucking shit that songs so fucking good. The lyrics in that song are just one punch after the other and its so. AAAA. Save Rock And Roll (thr song) is also fantastic. Elton John hello sir. ABAP has a couple good songs. I recently used Irresistable for an OC piece i did. Jet Pack Blues is also a pretty sounding song and is nice to listen to for more of a chiller vibe than some of their other music. Favorite Record my beloved I love that song its so nice and upbeat and love filled.

Stay frosty will always be there for me when I feel like throwing hands. that song slaps. hold me tight is a funky little jam. fun song. Expensive mistakes? my song. i love that song. pete was after my own heart making that song. Church is such a fuckin devotion song. Church and Last of the Real Ones are songs that feel like you sing them to someone youd give your life for. i also use those on charcter playlists. Heavens Gate is my FAVORITE love song. of all time. Sunshine Riptide is such a good song and is so fun to listen to.

So 4, 5, and 6 are part of an internal trilogy called the "Tommy Jarvis" trilogy. The three movies follow the aging and growing character Tommy Jarvis (the guy you can be revived as with the g//n in the game). He killed Jason in 4 to save his sister, spends the 5th movie's predisposition in a development center, and playing a fucking game of clue. In the 6th movie he plans on cremating Jason's body but due to PTSD, stabs him with a metal fence post which gets struck with electricity and revives him. It's been 6 years since his death in the 4th movie and he's very decomposed and gross but his spine and ribs are exposed at the back and he is WAY more powerful than before like HOLY SHIT. ANYWAY. Movie blahze blahze, he gets sank to the bottom of the lake again. *7*. UGH. Hold on. Okay. I'll send it in a part 2 ask bc OMG UGH 7. -Element

This song slaps so hard. I have been listening to it on repeat for like a week. The lyrics are so good and I have been imagining amvs with my oc to it (his name is Chamomile, he is a strawberry cow-boy, and this song is a little more toxic than he usually is, but I'm imagining that it's like an evil au or something LOL)

B: The soundtrack from Animation VS Minecraft: The King (by Scott Buckley)

Listen. Listen for just one second. Imagine theres an animated series. It's about this guy who draws some stick figures on his computer, and they come to life. Hijinks ensue, and they have all sorts of wacky adventures on his desktop, and eventually in Minecraft as well.

Look me in the eyes. This thing has lore. And character arcs. And morally grey characters with tragic backstories.

And it also has crazy good music (WITH LEITMOTIFS). The link above is the soundtrack for The King, aka the season 3 finale and an episode that literally made me cry actual tears. But I also reccomend listening to the Pigstep Remix (PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE LISTEN TO IT it's an absolute banger, it starts with the og minecraft music disc music, then transitions into this crazy good orchestral arrangement PLEASE listen I am BEGGING you), and watching the epsiodes Note Block Battle (silly nonsense, no lore or understanding of the series needed, but funky tunes) and Note Block Universe (the first half is silly nonsense with funky tunes, the second half features one of the aformentioned Morally Grey Characters and their tragic backstory. Lots of it won't make sense unless you know the series, but I can't talk about the AVM series or it's music without talking about it) (both Note Block episodes use music as a main plot point) (also, there is almost never any dialogue, which makes the music absolutely shine when conveying emotions, in addition to the animation [which is so expressive despite the characters literally not having faces. They can emote SO much with JUST body language]) (I am getting SO off track I'm sorry I just love AVM so much) (one day im going to write a 10,000 word rant about how good AVM is I swear)

C: HYACINTHUS (by Aidoneus)

Man, it's just so beautiful, and considering it's about the story of Apollo and Hyacinthus, I love it from a story AND religious viewpoint 🪻🌻

A: Innocence (by Nathan Wagner) Holy fuck. One of the most beautiful and haunting songs I've ever heard in my whole life. If you only listen to one of these songs, make this one of them. Please. Also, it is VERY good for imagining amvs in your head.

B: Sealed Vessel (by Christopher Larkin) and OMORI + ALTER (by OMOCAT)

Technically this is 2 songs (technically 3 but OMORI and ALTER are like a part 1 and 2 of the same song), but they both fall into "video game final boss themes that make me want to cry", even though they are quite different. Sealed Vessel is more haunting and heart-sinkingly sad, especially near the end. OMORI + ALTER is sad, but more in a chest-tightening anxious way. If you know the stories of Hollow Knight and Omori, you know that the lore for both of them is heartbreaking, and these songs fit that perfectly.

C: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Theme

God. This song just makes me feel so much. The main bit makes my heart race and gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I don't even know why, or how to describe it. And it means so much to me emotionally as well. BOTW was a huge part of my life, and it always will be. This game gave me escapism when I was going through a really traumatic part of my life, Link was a big part of figuring out my gender identity, and I would spend time with my mom by playing while she watched. It's so important to me, and this song makes me feel so many feelings. Man.

HELLOO im excited to read more bc ive already decided to read ToG as well!! ive seen the first few pages and holy cow, theres way more dialogue with Bam than i expected. which makes sense, the medium calls for Bam’s thoughts to be centered and made clear to the audience

he is the main protagonist, but there’s a special Je Ne Sais Quoi that comes with a protagonist that isnt constantly projecting their thoughts / having their thoughts made known by the narrative.. hes a little more ‘indecipherable’ and less talkative in the anime, just because his internal dialogue has been cut out. it’s a necessary change to prevent the first episode’s time from bloating out of control, but its a change well-suited for an animated adaptation. it did well to cut down on dialogue but still maintain relatively the same amount of information conveyed to the audience

im also giggly to see additional scenes in the manhwa! again i know they had to cut a lot to condense the animation down to something watchable, but im also happy i get to see more of other characters. Yuri is baller shes my kiss kiss mwah mwah =~•~=
