unpopular opinion but i really miss those days when it was all about the music in taylor swift fandom

I really love that lately we've learned to embrace pathetic men. Kevin is a wet cat, he's scared and wounded and aggressive and really we just need to plunge him in a warm flea bath and he'll become a lap princess.

This is all great. Let us all accept weakness and be kinder to Kevin Day.

But!!! Let's not forget!!

This man is THE SHIT. He's the hottest girl in school. He's the best exy player since the sport was created. At 18!! He's the star of the most badass moment on the entire series.

He refused defeat, he refused half-assed attempts. He demanded the best because he could give nothing less and kept his pride because it was all he had left. Kevin Day couldn't afford to doubt himself because the entire world already did.

Kevin was left broken in the gutter and clawed his way back to the top. He dragged himself drinking and crying to the only acceptable outcome.

And there's nothing braver than a coward who chooses time and time again to keep going.

i feel like i’ve been WAITING for the other shoe to drop wrt people’s opinions about watcher for this very reason. not that i think the reaction is completely not understandable but the greater the parasocial relationship, the greater the fallout as soon as public opinion shifts. you don’t have a relationship with these people they’re just content creators, chill

Had a really stupid conversation via minor emotional breakdown with a queer friend about what makes an LGBTQ person 'assimilist'. From what she said I'm kind of forced to draw the conclusion 'if you say you're not assimilist, then you're not'.

#i love her but none of it makes any sense to me #i think i really just wanted her to see that this kind of rhetoric is no good if you're fundamentally unable to see yourself as having valu #to a community- which is where i'm still at sometimes unfortunately.#i would say that i may not be the only one since mental illness + self esteem issues + being lgbtq are not exactly unlinked #but i have basically never found anyone else who has my particular hangups...maybe online once ages ago #so in my own mind i'm the most assimilist lgbtq who ever existed- not even worthy to call myself queer #and it's nice that she thinks i am not like that and in fact am 'one of the good ones'#who is not assimilist- look i know that 'one of the good ones' usually means the opposite ok i know! it's just an impression i get #she's like telling me obviously i'm all good because i look like i do but all i can hear is #that if i didn't look like this then i'm an assimilist #i fucking hate my brain honestly no one asked me to have a mental breakdown at their house (thank god i didn't cry)#and then go home and that's when i cry because i saw a trans guy's 'this many years on t' post and i felt like shit because #i haven't done anything about transitioning in ages and i'm not even out at work :'(#like i know i'm an assimilist because my main reason for not coming out at work is not wanting to do the beaurocracy #of changing my name on my email and every fucking log in i have on everything- telling every single person i interact with #i just can't it's too much and my line manager is worse than useless #but i have 'my job is computer and doing emails all day' privilege so i don't like to talk to people about it

#i just almost died in that scene where you give him a ride #never happened to me before i alway managed to keep him calm #but like. when the anger meter is full and hes about to kill you hes like 'say 'i want to die'. go on say it'#and i mean???? thats some freak shit #not to mention when he pulls out the gun hes like 'i had a bad day and need some cheering up. so thats what youre gonna do. cheer me up'#like im sorry but it cant be just me #hes just the perfect wet little meow meow. hes literally standing in the rain in that scene waiting for someone to help him #idk man im sure there's a lot of other people in the fandom who are into the 'creepy murderer' trope #but i genuinely wonder if that was at least a lil bit intentional #anyway i survived that encounter #at the end there was one of those lil dice rolls and i succeeded that so he let me live #and gave me a ride. every single time i get that scene i accept his offer to give me a ride #its honestly insane that its even an option. even after you lose that event and almost die the game still allows you to stay with him #anyway gonna continue playing #road 96 #jarod road 96 #bee buzz

Actually self-titled is an unimaginably underrated album and I cannot fathom why no one ever talks about it.
