how do drivers licenses work for systems? does the body get a license or do specific alters need to get them?

The body gets one! During legal situations and such we use the body’s legal name. It would be hard to identify us that way otherwise.

(No matter how much I wish we could all have separate things, it is impossible with the way things are now.)

If we talk about the inner world, we personally don’t have many cars here! And even then, licenses aren’t a thing here.

ㅡ dogs who come to say hello when I'm outside

ㅡ animals in general, really

ㅡ flowers

ㅡ laying in bed with clean blankets

ㅡ stuffed animals

ㅡ tea with lots of honey

ㅡ toast with homemade strawberry jam

ㅡ cloudwatching

ㅡ Ghibli feel-good movies like Arietty, Ponyo, Kiki or Spirited Away

ㅡ rereading my favorite books

ㅡ going outside if I have the energy

ㅡ realizing that no matter how dark the day(s) can get, the sun will shine again, and it always will. Sometimes it doesn't take long, other times it does. But regardless, I will feel okay again at some point

You know those sudden swells of "I love you" when you're looking at someone? Those overwhelming bursts of pure affection for someone else and they're not even doing anything special -- maybe they're reading, or sleeping, or laughing at something on their phone -- but in that moment, it feels so much like it's just you and them,,,and all you can think of is "I love you"
