Currently thinking about how Sheppard talks about McKay everywhere he goes. In The Return, "I never thought I'd miss Rodney McKay being part of my team" (an obvious lie since he picked him in the first place and has only regretted it a couple of times). In SG1's The Pegasus Project Cam tells McKay that Sheppard told him all about how he doesn't believe in impossible and loves to save the day at the last minute. Then in SGU even, in Seizure, Colonel Young tells McKay, "Sheppard was right," meaning that Sheppard had spent time telling Colonel Young about McKay's personality. John Sheppard cannot shut up about Rodney McKay.

I have a theory that McKay's citrus allergy is not actually deadly. I think this is supported by canon, but while it's played for laughs (as are all of his health conditions, which is... hmm well it's something), I also don't think he's just being dramatic when he says it's deadly. I think he tells people that because he's learned over the course of his life that no one will respect his dietary restrictions if he doesn't over-emphasize the seriousness of his condition. He is allergic to citrus. It makes him feel like shit. It's not going to kill him, but it may take him out of commission for a while. This takes longer to explain and is less impactful to strangers who don't care about him than telling them it will kill him.

I also think Sheppard carries an epi-pen on his person at all times just in case.

Sheppard got to choose his team, which means that after knowing him for less than a week, he chose McKay to be one of the people who comes with him when he goes offworld, because he already knows how brilliant and valuable he is.

John Sheppard Stargate

He's asexual. I just know it. Here's the thing, he's chronically single, he only flirts with women to keep McKay from getting laid, they could not FORCE sexual tension between him and Weir (and they tried). He sees Teyla in the first episode and comphet grips him for literally one second before she's not remotely interested and he can relax. The only time he makes a move on her is when the wraith stuff is in him making him all horny and weird. He apologizes later for his "out of character" behavior. The picnic with the Ancient woman from season 1 episode 14 is another excellent example of him trying to cockblock McKay and also comphet again. A devastating combo. And I think we can all agree that a cute picnic on the balcony and one kiss is not oozing sexuality. I never said aromantic. Although I do think if he's any bit romantic, it's homoromantic (I am also a McShep truther).

I've been rewatching Supernatural, and Dean is so transgender it's crazy. There are so many signs, but the one I keep thinking about is the fact that he is named after his grandmother, especially when Sammy was born second and named after his grandfather. Incredible.
