Say hello to Rose, Mouse, and Jay my main sky kids

They live in the Village of Dreams, Forest's Temple, and Wind Paths respectively! They're a team of sky kids who work together to make travel more accessible for sky children via running Flying Boat services!

Rose is in charge of being the "tour guide", Mouse makes the boats and does repairs, and Jay is in charge of locating areas that aren't accessible. He calls them the Outer Obscure Boroughs or oobs for short

...... ;)

Rose and Mouse think that's a stupid name, but whatever.

Anyways they're apart of a group that makes it easier for sky kids to reach these ""oobs"" and they take their job almost, sort-of seriously! Or at least Jay does.

Prepare to see a lot of them going forward when I'm not drawing Sky Two Embers stuff!

I came to this planet oh I don’t know, 28 years ago for one purpose, to serve as the last line of defense against those “Ultras” ever since they became more lenient on what they consider harmful to the universe.

Don’t really care for this place’s inhabitants that much, I mean it’s a beautiful place really but the people are little more that hicks, it’s only a matter of time till those Ultras deem them harmful too.

Shin Hayata however is a truly a wonderful case study, the first ever case of fusion between two species, on top of being fused to the only Ultra that’s been proven helpful, I mean I was hesitant at first don’t get me wrong I was trying to get that Capsule away from him any chance I could, but that conversation with Zoffy really flipped my view of things

(I tell ya must of been hell being hit by a giant alien, dying, and then going to work the next week like nothing happened. Probably the reason why Bemular made a B-line towards the city, he sensed the Ultra was lying dormant there)

However that conversation did prove the rumors, they’re forming Zetton. When we got those satellite photos a while ago it really was the worst day in the office I tell ya, Baltan that next day freaked out and entered the human level HQ in a panic. I mean we were making progress on Saturn Z but not enough to stop that thing, Zarab panicking as well didn’t help much.

But we finally have a trump card, and I’ll be talking to Mr Hayata in a moment.

Been brainstorming some fun new characters and story ideas, and it was fun to try and get some colors on an outfit :) theoretically this is going to be a comic of sorts, but hahahaha we’ll see

For now, I’m just messing around with colors and designs since it’s a lot of fun. Next up should be Lorne’s partner ;)

The demo reel has thankfully been delayed, but since they asked us to animate 3 whole ass scenes from our graduation film, I didn't actually work on my own animation 🧍

So I’m actually developing another original story besides Bliss which I’m calling “Duck Duck Goose”. It revolves around fairy tales, but more specifically around the nature of “Grimm Fairy Tales”, partnered with their original absurd or violent natures.

Here’s our protagonist:

Einin, a pregnant woman presumably somewhere in her mid-twenties, is on the constant run from a giant creature known as the “Mother Goose”, who bares a grueling and unsatisfiable appetite. With it’s most favored source of sustenance being naive individuals currently conceiving, Einin’s current status of pregnancy has made her target to this monster. It chases her down relentlessly, and all that Einin can do is find ways to divert it in any way possible in the hopes that she can give her growing body a well-needed rest.

With a scent so strong, the Goose is always bound to find her. The only source of constant socialization is her bright yellow umbrella, to whom she refers to as “Ducky” as if it’s its own entity. All of the escaping she does usually wears her down, and has driven her to the point of talking to the umbrella— and claiming that it talks back. Everyone in their right mind knows it’s nothing more than an object. But with Einin’s emphasis on wanting to protect the seemingly important umbrella, it makes one consider her motives as to why she’s dead set on always having it where she can see it. Perhaps it’s a comfort item? But it can’t be that easy, right?

In her consistent attempts to stray as to hopefully one day lose the Mother Goose’s reign, being that staying in a single place for long usually means the Goose will continue to come back, she occasionally meets with other peculiar individuals: A girl cloaked in a red hood who mounts the back of a giant wolf, two bounty hunter siblings apparently made of candy, a mysterious man of many fables and stories passed around about his grand accomplishments, and so on. She’s not sure of dubbing any of these encounters as “friends”, though. Not that she doesn’t want to, but circumstances have made staying in one place and creating meaningful bonds a task too dangerous for her own good. Usually, she has to run from them, too.

Oh, and if you’re wondering, this is the Mother Goose!

character illustrations !

I know I have mentioned this in a couple other posts but here are some of the illustrations I have created for a friend's computer science capstone! Their assignment was to create a video game, and I was responsible for creating the artwork :) It just so happened that the theme they chose was a spy academy, and I LOVE anything spy related (and have ever since I was in second grade and did a presentation about cryptographers for career day <3) I also created several logos and icons for the game, as well as other illustrations not included here which I might post at a later date (and you can also see some of the character expressions/reactions under character design on my portfolio site — www.ameliakretzer.art !! )

i also saw a drawing of kevin over alastor(?) from hb on my pinterest feed and it made me feel sick i feel like i owe him something for even seeing that WHO DID IT. pov evil kevin when he makes terrible music and hates synthesizers
