My theory for why Talanah doesn’t get to stick around and help with the main game in Horizon Forbidden West.

If she was in the party it’d be a strange thing to have to reconcile if the player decided to keep Regalla alive for the final mission. Knowing what we know of her burning hatred for the Carja I really can’t see her working with one or even existing in the same space as one quietly. Probably for the best to have her go back to Meridian after her quest line, even if I missed having her around to join the squad. That’s not to say she won’t be in future main story stuff.
