one of my softest thoughts of luke is that he would learn how to do your hair 🥺 like if this applied to you; brushing your hair after a shower, braiding it before bed, using a heat tool, anything to make your life easier 🥹
oh 100%. he knows you absolutely hate brushing your hair after you shower, the length of it always making it so hard to truly get the ends detangled, so you asked him for help one day and he just…never stopped doing it. he waits in the bathroom for you every time you shower now, having the softest towel he can find at the ready so he can dry your hair for you and then brush every strand properly and tenderly, making sure it doesn’t pull and irritate your sensitive scalp
and when he gets the hang of your after shower hair care, you catch him standing behind you in the mirror one day while you’re curling your hair, watching you shyly. “what’s up, lu?” you asked him, watching him slowly approach you while staring at the wand in your hand. “nothing. it’s just…can i try?” he would wring his hands together, nervous.
you’d hand him the wand and explain to him how to properly wrap the piece of hair around the hot cylinder so it makes the perfect curl. after a couple of pieces of hair he got the hang of it, then listening to you earnestly when you explain how to shake the curls out and make sure they’re not all bunched up. the next time you mention curling your hair luke jumps up and runs to your vanity, getting out all of the products and tools he remembers you using, setting everything up for you to sit and let him curl your hair from start to finish. you chuckle as you sit down and he starts placing clips in your hair to section it off, loving the fact he’s become your own personal stylist

Attitude Problem! // Trevor Zegras x Reader !
Quick little write! I hope I answered this prompt correctly! I hope you like it anon~~ <3

Tumblr media
The bathroom you share with your boyfriend, Trevor, has been concluded a crime scene. Makeup sprawled across the counter, hair jel splattered and countless cords and hot tools took up the space. You drag your hair wand through your hair, holding it and releasing it to lock the shape. Your eyes trail from your hair to Trevor, who is getting ready next to you.
“I really dont like your hair like that…” you said with your voice flat.
“Like what?” Trevor retorts with a little pep behind his words.
“Like you are about to throw on a pair of skinny jeans and look like a total west coast hipster dork.” You snap back narrowing your eyes. Trevor's jaw falls agape. You continue on curling your hair. “So, are you just gonna stand there? Fix it, idiot.” His mouth curls into a smirk. He drags his hand through his locks, tossing and shuffling it.
“Babe…” he began, “Any better?”
“Mmm…” You drag out. “Now you just look like a bum.” You state, contorting your face in a disgusted manner.
“Seriously?!”
“Oh just come here dickhead.” You make a hand motion signaling for him to come closer to you. Your hands find themselves on his broad shoulders, applying pressure trying to get him down on your level. He crouches downs meeting you face to face.
“You are adorable.” Trevor coos while pinching your cheek.
“You are an annoying prick” You respond, trying to hold back a smile and failing miserably. After you collect yourself, you begin to lather Trevor's hair with product, styling it to your heart's desire. “Jeez, I am way too talented. This is way better.” You say as you release your hands from his hair.
“Baby, I love it when you have your hands in my hair” Trevor says deviously with a major smirk painted across his face. You tilt your head up to look Trevor in the eye. Your face is in a state of deadpan, mouth straight, eyes narrow. Just as you were about to cuss him out Trevor grabs your chin. “Shhh, come on baby you have had your fun.” He whispers just before he locks his lips with yours. His arms loop around your torso and toss you over his shoulder. You flair your limbs shouting out him. “I love your attitude, but its time i set it straight.” Your face heats up and flushes a shade of pink. Suddenly your back hits your bed with trevor on top of you. Trevor leans down towards you, eyes not leaving yours. He nuzzles into the crook of your neck, placing a kiss while hes there.
“TREVOR YOUR HAIR. IM GONNA KILL YOU ASSHOLE!” You exclaim.
“Shit…” Trevor mutters.

I had a best friend who was really into the whole curly girl thing, but she has pretty tight curls so I thought "ok, got it - girls with curly hair need a different haircare routine. But my hair isn't curly so this is irrelevant to me". I didn't realise, however, that following haircare advice for straight hair, when your hair has a natural curl/wave, damages the hair, causes all that poofyness, dries the fuck out of it, and makes it LOOK STRAIGHT. When I let my hair air dry, some waves show up randomly here or there, but nothing too wild. I thought that was the extent of it. Turns out there's been a diffuser lying around the house for weeks unbeknownst to me, so I gave it a go this afternoon and like
Tumblr media
??? This is like, with substandard products, having slept on it while slightly damp, then just dampened again before diffusing. If my hair looks like this while messing up a first try at doing all that curly stuff, could it actually have this much body... all the time???! If I stick to it, can I just look like that on the daily? This is what my hair looks like "normally" when it's air dried btw:
Tumblr media
I figured the ends were just frazzled from processing and backcombing, but this wasn't too long after a thorough trim that had appeared to solve the problem. Where my hair is trying to clump into waves by my face, it looks a lot happier than the shapeless mess at the ends.
I'm mostly hyped because I've spent so many goddamn hours of my life faffing with pin curls, standing curls, bendy rollers, rag curls, curling wands, curling tongs, curling via straighteners, curling attachments for hair dryers, etc etc. Days spent waiting for wet sets to dry. Burns using hot tools. 2 amateur perms. And you're telling me my natural hair was
Tumblr media
- at minimum - this curly naturally? The ENTIRE TIME?

French Egg Roll Hair Curler
Curling your hair is one of the most versatile ways to switch up your look, adding volume, texture, and a touch of glam to your style. Whether you're prepping for a night out, a formal event, or simply wanting to add some bounce to your everyday look, a hair curler can be your go-to tool. However, with so many types of curlers available, choosing the right one and mastering its use can be a bit overwhelming. In this blog post, we'll break down everything you need to know about hair curlers.
1. Types of Hair Curlers
The first step in achieving beautiful curls is choosing the right curler. Here are some of the most popular types:
a. Curling Irons: The most common tool, curling irons come with a clamp that holds your hair in place as you curl it. They are available in various barrel sizes, allowing you to create anything from tight ringlets to loose waves. A smaller barrel gives you tighter curls, while a larger barrel creates soft, beachy waves.
Tumblr media
b. Curling Wands: Unlike curling irons, curling wands do not have a clamp. You wrap your hair around the barrel manually, which can take some practice but allows for more natural-looking curls. They typically have a tapered design, offering more versatility in curl size.
c. Hot Rollers: These are perfect for those who want volume and bounce without much effort. Hot rollers are heated in a set and then placed in the hair, where they cool down, setting the curl. They’re great for creating big, voluminous curls or waves.
d. Automatic Curlers: These modern tools do the work for you. You feed a section of hair into the device, and it automatically wraps the hair around a heated barrel. These are perfect for beginners or anyone looking to save time.
Tumblr media
e. Flexi Rods and Foam Rollers: These heat-free options are great for overnight curls. You simply wrap your hair around them and sleep while they work their magic. They are gentle on the hair and perfect for those trying to avoid heat damage.
2. How to Choose the Right Hair Curler for Your Hair Type
Choosing the right curler depends on your hair type and the style you want to achieve. Here’s a quick guide:
a. Fine Hair: If you have fine hair, you’ll want a curler that can create volume without weighing your hair down. Opt for a curling wand or iron with a smaller barrel size (around 1 inch) to create tighter curls that will hold. Ceramic barrels are ideal as they distribute heat evenly, reducing the risk of damage.
b. Thick Hair: Thick hair can handle more heat and requires a curler that can create defined curls. A larger barrel size (1.25 to 1.5 inches) works well for creating loose, glamorous waves. Tourmaline or titanium barrels are great as they emit negative ions that help smooth the hair cuticle, reducing frizz.
c. Curly or Coarse Hair: For those with naturally curly or coarse hair, you may want to either define your curls or loosen them into waves. A curling wand is a great option for defining curls, while a large barrel curling iron can help loosen them into waves.
d. Short Hair: If you have short hair, a smaller barrel size (around 0.75 to 1 inch) is ideal for creating curls. Automatic curlers can also be a great option, as they’re easy to use on shorter hair lengths.
3. Tips for Perfect Curls
Once you've selected the right hair curler, it’s time to master the art of curling. Here are some tips to get you started:
a. Start with Clean, Dry Hair: Always start with clean, dry hair. Using a curler on wet hair can cause damage and won’t hold the curl as well.
b. Use a Heat Protectant: Heat can damage your hair, so always apply a heat protectant spray before using any heated tool. This creates a barrier between your hair and the heat, reducing the risk of damage.
c. Section Your Hair: To ensure even curls, section your hair into manageable parts. Start from the bottom and work your way up. This will also prevent you from missing any sections.
d. Curl Away from Your Face: For a natural, voluminous look, curl your hair away from your face. This creates a more flattering frame around your face.
e. Hold the Curl: After releasing the curl from the iron or wand, hold it in your hand for a few seconds to let it cool down. This helps the curl set and last longer.
f. Don’t Touch Too Much: After curling, let your hair cool completely before touching it. Running your fingers through your curls too soon can cause them to lose their shape.
g. Finish with a Light Hairspray: To ensure your curls last all day, finish with a light hairspray. Avoid using too much, as this can make your hair stiff.
4. Maintaining Your Hair Curler
Proper maintenance of your hair curler ensures it lasts longer and works effectively. Here are some maintenance tips:
a. Clean the Barrel: Regularly clean the barrel of your curler to remove any product buildup. This can be done with a damp cloth or a special cleaning solution.
b. Store Properly: Always unplug your curler after use and let it cool down before storing it. Store it in a cool, dry place to avoid any damage.
c. Check for Damage: Regularly inspect your curler for any signs of damage, such as frayed cords or a cracked barrel. If you notice any issues, it’s best to replace the tool to avoid potential hazards.
Conclusion
A hair curler is a versatile tool that can transform your look in minutes. By choosing the right type of curler for your hair and following these tips, you can achieve salon-quality curls at home. Remember, practice makes perfect, so don’t be discouraged if it takes a few tries to master the technique. With the right tools and a bit of patience, you’ll be rocking gorgeous curls in no time!

Achieving Smooth Hair: Tips and Techniques for Silky Strands
Smooth, silky hair is a desirable trait that can enhance your overall appearance and boost your confidence. Achieving smooth hair involves a combination of proper hair care routines, the right products, and healthy lifestyle choices. This guide provides comprehensive tips and techniques to help you attain and maintain smooth hair.
Understanding Hair Structure and Smoothness
Hair smoothness largely depends on the condition of the hair cuticle, which is the outermost layer of the hair shaft. When the cuticles lie flat and are well-maintained, hair appears smooth and shiny. Conversely, when the cuticles are raised or damaged, hair looks frizzy and dull. Achieving smooth hair involves keeping the cuticles intact and well-aligned.
Daily Hair Care Routine for Smooth Hair
1. Gentle Cleansing
Use Sulfate-Free Shampoo
Sulfates can strip natural oils from your hair, leaving it dry and frizzy. Opt for sulfate-free shampoos that cleanse gently without harsh chemicals.
Don’t Overwash
Washing your hair too frequently can strip it of its natural oils, leading to dryness and frizz. Aim to wash your hair 2-3 times a week, depending on your hair type.
2. Conditioning
Deep Conditioning
Use a deep conditioner once a week to provide intense moisture and repair to your hair. Look for products with ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and argan oil.
Leave-In Conditioner
Apply a leave-in conditioner after washing to keep your hair hydrated and smooth throughout the day.
3. Drying
Avoid Towel Rubbing
Instead of rubbing your hair with a towel, gently squeeze out excess water and wrap your hair in a microfiber towel or a soft T-shirt to prevent frizz.
Air Dry When Possible
Let your hair air dry naturally to minimize heat damage. If you must use a blow dryer, use it on a cool or low heat setting.
Styling Techniques for Smooth Hair
1. Heat Styling
Use Heat Protectant
Always apply a heat protectant spray or serum before using heat styling tools like flat irons, curling wands, or blow dryers to minimize damage.
Opt for Ceramic Tools
Ceramic heat styling tools distribute heat evenly and reduce the risk of hot spots that can damage hair. Look for tools with adjustable temperature settings and keep the heat as low as possible.
2. Brushing and Combing
Wide-Tooth Comb
Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle your hair when it’s wet. This reduces breakage and helps keep the cuticles smooth.
Boar Bristle Brush
For dry hair, use a boar bristle brush to distribute natural oils from the scalp to the ends, adding shine and smoothness.
3. Protective Hairstyles
Avoid Tight Hairstyles
Tight ponytails, braids, and buns can cause hair breakage and stress on the hair cuticles. Opt for looser styles that minimize tension.
Silk or Satin Pillowcase
Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction on your hair while you sleep. This helps prevent frizz and keeps your hair smooth.
Best Products for Smooth Hair
1. Shampoos and Conditioners
Keratin-Infused Products
Keratin helps to repair and smooth the hair shaft, making it look shinier and healthier.
Moisturizing Formulas
Choose shampoos and conditioners that are specifically designed for hydration and smoothing. Look for ingredients like argan oil, shea butter, and glycerin.
2. Serums and Oils
Argan Oil
Argan oil is known for its smoothing properties. Apply a small amount to damp hair to lock in moisture and add shine.
Silicone-Based Serums
Silicone-based serums coat the hair shaft, smoothing the cuticles and reducing frizz. Apply a small amount to the ends of your hair for a sleek finish.
3. Masks and Treatments
Weekly Hair Masks
Use a deep conditioning hair mask once a week to nourish and repair your hair. Look for masks with ingredients like coconut oil, honey, and avocado.
Leave-In Treatments
Leave-in treatments provide continuous moisture and protection throughout the day. Apply them after washing your hair for added smoothness and shine.
Lifestyle Tips for Smooth Hair
1. Healthy Diet
Nutrient-Rich Foods
A diet rich in vitamins and minerals supports healthy hair. Include foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, biotin, and vitamins A, C, and E.
Hydration
Drink plenty of water to keep your hair hydrated from the inside out.
2. Stress Management
Reduce Stress
High stress levels can negatively impact your hair health. Practice stress management techniques such as meditation, exercise, and adequate sleep.
3. Avoid Environmental Damage
UV Protection
Protect your hair from UV damage by wearing a hat or using hair products with UV filters when you’re out in the sun.
Chlorine and Saltwater
Rinse your hair with fresh water before and after swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean to prevent damage and dryness.
Conclusion
Achieving smooth hair involves a combination of proper hair care routines, the right products, and a healthy lifestyle. By following these tips and techniques, you can transform your hair into silky, shiny strands that are easy to manage and style. Remember, consistency is key, and with regular care and attention, you can enjoy smooth, beautiful hair every day.

Products with natural oils like argan or coconut oil are particularly effective.
Deep Condition Weekly
Treat your hair to a weekly deep conditioning mask to restore moisture.

❛❛   Shut it, you can't rush perfection.   ❜❜     Kitty drawls with a roll of her eyes, not at the very least frightened by Regina's wrath. Kitty's simply huffing, wrapping Regina's gorgeous golden hair around her curling wand, giving the other woman a flat look at her brazen threat.     ❛❛   That would be disgusting, Gina. My styling tools are not meant to be used internally.   ❜❜     She tuts, clicking her tongue as she sprays Regina's freshly curled hair with her very best hairspray. Kitty leans back, narrowing her blue eyes and examining Regina's new curls before she hums and nods, and there's a small smile quirking her glossed lips up.     ❛❛   Okay, your Highness is finished and looking hot as hell.   ❜❜
