Back in primary school there was this group task where we had to choose some ppl from a pool we were given to be the new colony on like Mars since humans were dying out. And we only had enough resources to send a group of i think 5-6 people? And the thing was set in stages so the pool of ppl had only their basic info at the first stage and at the last stage we had all their info to like teach us that we shouldn't judge ppl from first appearances and stuff like that.

For example at the first stage there was a doctor and obviously we all put him in the list but at the last stage it was revealed that he had killed some of his patients on purpose and passed it off as accidents or something along those lines and yeah he went off the list immediately.

But I always remember how there was one guy who was only described as being a young homeless man in stage 1 and everyone else in class didn't include him but I insisted he should be in my group since being homeless didn't mean he didnt have value and couldnt be useful. Plus its not like the chosen ppl would only be doing their jobs, they'd have to take care of all the basic needs and in such a case a homeless person was going to be the same as a doctor in farming since there was no actual farmer included.

Then ofc in the last stage it was revealed he was an entrepreneur who owned lots of hotels and he was homeless because he was always travelling to different places and staying at his hotels. And I felt extremely vindicated as everyone else immediately added him but at the same time also annoyed because I didn't want him anymore since what the hell was some business guy going to be useful for in a new colony meant to continue the human race? At most I thought we'd be lucky if one of the adult women fell in love with him and had kids or something.
