Every time I see a pic of someone-else’s rabbit, I refuse to believe that they have sent me a pic of a living thing. A stuffed animal you have sent me! A ploy! A ruse! Only I have a living bunny! For yours looks far too sweet and cuddly to be alive!
Oreo is here and is getting settled in his new custom condo ❤️ he's super super sweet so far! as soon as i opened the door to his carrier, he came right out and started exploring his new space.
once he's had a week or two to adjust to his new environment, we will be making a vet appointment for him to be neutered, and then a month after that, we can begin working on bonding him and Squiggles!
I absolutely LOVE the color of black otter rex rabbits; they look so plush and velvety! So it was an easy choice for today's Zooly prompt. Rex rabbits descend from one litter of French wild rabbits in 1919 who had a genetic mutation keeping the guard hairs from growing longer than the undercoat. In addition to the formal Rex breed, there are several other breeds with "rex" fur texturing.
Ink pen and Copic markers.
(They are in a caged area underneath the stairs. The door is open when a human adult is awake, this is so they can be supervised because we have a rather large dog.)
This bunny is called Cranberry! I painted this portrait for a fundraiser for Rabbit Advocates, a wonderful rabbit rescue in Portland for which I volunteer.
my rabbit has been much more comfortable with people now that he's in the living room, you can walk right by him while he sleeps and he doesn't even move
