WIP: Some of the new Dylusions Shimmer Paints came in today and I just had to play with them! I already had some background sprayed so I added the paints through Dylusions flower and rain stencils to celebrate the first day of Spring. Then I couldn’t stop. I had to pull out collage materials and stamps. Things are glued down and I’m walking away for the night so it can dry. Here’s my catch up on week 7 of Wanderlust 2021. From this lesson I was reminded not to force the page. As I was watching the videos for week 7 I was inspired when Kate Crane was talking about the sheet music. You see, I played the trumpet in middle school and high school. I actually played the same trumpet that my dad did when he was in school. I had old sheet music and some old pictures of him playing that I could scan it! It would be perfect for this exercise! However, as I was working on the page it wasn’t flowing and trying to use those pieces just felt forced. The page clearly as it’s own ideas. Lucky, when I went hunting for pictures I pulled out a few more to scan as well. I wound up using this picture of my dad as a baby with my aunt, grandma, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Week 5 of Wanderlust. When I came back to revisit this page this morning I still didn’t know what to do. I honestly didn’t feel anything but tired and just didn’t want to create. It’s early, I wanted to go back to bed. But, I told myself I was going to do the 100 day project. And it’s just a card so at least do that. I pulled out a box of quotes and started to dig. That’s when I came across this one that felt perfect for this page instead and my mood this morning.
