Here’s my catch up on week 7 of Wanderlust 2021. From this lesson I was reminded not to force the page. As I was watching the videos for week 7 I was inspired when Kate Crane was talking about the sheet music. You see, I played the trumpet in middle school and high school. I actually played the same trumpet that my dad did when he was in school. I had old sheet music and some old pictures of him playing that I could scan it! It would be perfect for this exercise! However, as I was working on the page it wasn’t flowing and trying to use those pieces just felt forced. The page clearly as it’s own ideas. Lucky, when I went hunting for pictures I pulled out a few more to scan as well. I wound up using this picture of my dad as a baby with my aunt, grandma, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
