Corporate Barbie Files- Begin
When I was kid I didn't know what an executive was but I wanted to be one so bad. Now that I know I've decided to aim a bit higher- Chief Financial Officer day job and small business tycoon. ✨🧿
Please do your own research, I'm no expert and I don't want to lead anyone down a weird path
Planning (business plans)
You can get an LLC for less than 200$, 500$ MAX. What makes LLC's expensive are the licenses, fees you pay when registered, and the state you register.
Sole priorerships (depending on your state) don't need to be registered but you forgo the protections that come from having a government recognized business.
Any small business template online is a great resource.
Plan it out for 3 years minimum but think of this business plan as a living document. As you operate your business it will have to change.
Business research!
You need to do your own research on each business you want to start if you want to succeed.
Topics/questions to research
Researching competitors (Strengths & Weaknesses/marketing strategy/Pricing/products and product features)
Market share
Strengths and weaknesses
Your window of opportunity to enter the market
The importance of your target market to your competitors
Any barriers that may hinder you as you enter the market
Indirect or secondary competitors who may impact your success
Customers
Who are your customers and why are they interested in buying your product or service?
What characteristics, interests, desires, pain points and needs do they share?
Where do they live?
How old are they?
What is their education level?
What is their income range?
Which types of websites do they frequently visit?
Where do they currently buy similar products?
Which languages do they speak?
What industry do they work in?
License needed
Growth projection
Assessing the legal aspects of your industry
Can you reach your target audience? If you're selling inline skates, are you opening in an area with a population of the right age and disposable income?
Is the market saturated?
Your Brand
Questions you wanna ask
Here are a few methods you can use to do direct research:
Surveys
Questionnaires
Focus groups
In-depth interviews
Ask potential customers
Questions you wanna ask and answers
Demand: Is there a desire for your product or service?
Market size: How many people would be interested in your offering?
Economic indicators: What is the income range and employment rate?
Location: Where do your customers live and where can your business reach?
Market saturation: How many similar options are already available to consumers?
Pricing: What do potential customers pay for these alternatives?
Best ways to reach customers
Suppliers, quotes and budget
Sources of funding, uses of funding
Prep
Finding funding, type in your demographic 'black woman/LGBT black woman, ect' and your state + small business funding. Apply for everything. Find space for inventory. Think up promotional material- Vistaprint is amazing for just cheapy slapping your brand on something that others want (candy, notebooks, pens, cute tote bags).
Skills you may need: Negotiation, Manipulation, Marketing, Social media handling, Emotional intelligence, Personal emotional control, Leadership and delegation, Networking, Memorization (names, position and places you met this people), Self discipline, Conversation, Communication.
Just do it
If I wanted until I felt 100% ready I wouldn't have two functional businesses at the moment.
Low risk low reward business ideas
These may not make you rich unless you market to high heaven or get lucky. But they are a great passive income opportunity/place to start.
Vending machine
ATM
Selling books on Amazon/Audible/Printing on demand services
Selling on a ready made sale site- Shopify/Amazon/Esty
Direct sales
High traffic blog for ads
Affiliate marketing blog/social media
Mid-Tier business ideas
Can be scaled up to make 7 figures but after taxes and fees will probably make a steady 6 figures yearly. (Please note that 6 figures can be any where from 100k to 999k. I've noticed a tendency to see 6 figures as only 100k.)
Cafes
Small bar
Small restaurant
Ice-cream truck
Food truck
Website with subscriptions
A clothing line
Makeup or skincare (especially if it has mostly black women in mind- think Black Girl Sunscreen or Fenty Beauty)
Natural hair wigs (as in 3b-4c pattern, its not super common and the ones that are aren't very good nor last very long)
Small hair and nails salon
Haircare product line
Do your own research please, these are just the most common and least expensive I've found entrepreneurs start. They may not work with your skills/personal brand/time constraints/experience ect.
Advice
Have a vanity business!!! A business that matters because you like it so much. One where the success is not based off just money but personal satisfaction. This will keep you from getting bored, too frustrated or purely money driven. Of course a business is money driven but at some point you look up from your work and get distressed from dissatisfaction from being stuck working for money instead of pleasure.
You should be interested in each business you make/engage with a least a little bit.
Break down how much you need to make per day and per week to get to your goal amount. This has helped me mentally, I no longer freak out about the big picture when I'm focused on the main goal of the day/week.
Have a reading list in these 5 categories: Emotional intelligence, Your field of study (finance, tech, medical, beauty), Manipulation/Negotiation, Beauty/Dating/Self-esteem, and Money.
Don't try to build up more than 2 businesses at a time if you're doing it alone. You will drive yourself insane and burn out quickly.
If you do direct sales on the streets make sure you have an incentive for people to actually stop and look at what you have to offer. Something free pretty with your logo or information and matches your brand image. It can be hand made!
Mistakes I made
I relied on one business too much when my goal isn't to scale it too big
I didn't have a workable marketing campaign. People are tired of ads. I'm tired of ads, I had to get creative or rather make the ads less invasive.
I relied too much on online sales. There is way too much competition- I now make 90% of my money from in person sales, there's a 'rush' factor because the pop up shop won't be there tomorrow, and I can make a human connection before I make a sale.
I put too much money into some businesses and not enough into others. Now I have a budget of 200$-500$ for each new business unless I'm buying large equipment that I will own (vending machines, massive printers, ect).
I didn't have enough different types of products. I need variety but I shouldn't panic and make too much or else I'll lose money and have too much inventory.
My mentor had told me to make decisions quarterly (every 3 months) rather than weekly/monthly. This has helped her build her real estate business.
My journey
My motto when it comes to dealing with my businesses is Slow Progress Is Still Progress.
I’ve always wanted to be a higher up in a company- an “executive woman”- I would eat up all the songs and tv shows made for kids about business (Biz kids, Schoolhouse rock mostly). I started my journey with my vanity business because I tired of waiting to get published by a major publishing house. Why not be a major publishing house? As I've come into my own I've realized I want more- more money, more experience, better titles, more power ECT.
My method is to work smarter and never harder: I create a company, place 100% of my attention on it and create systems that make the work I have to do minimal. 1-2hrs of work per day max. Borderline passive income. Then I move on to creating another business when I’m comfortable leaving the previous ones without my direct attention for a while. Being a CEO is all about creating sustainable systems that are efficient, reliable and profitable.
I have 2 functional businesses at the moment, they have been planned out for 2.5 years (I started them at the beginning of the year). I have two more I’m working on both in the ‘finding a reliable vendor’ stage. Once I’m past this part I’ll be ready to launch. I don’t advertise online, I work with the areas I’m in and the small businesses around me. It’s easier and more effective than to interrupt other people’s days by doing online ads. No one likes them and a lot of people will straight up avoid your brand out of spite. I’m in the middle of a rebrand and expansion so that eventually I can reach my goal of making 5k a day from my small business empire.
My journey is a work in progress.

thank you for the advice on pins ! i am in the process of researching how to set up my shop and i have a couple more questions if you don't mind- at what stage did you feel it was time to open your shop, follower-wise? did it take a long time to become profitable ? i saw you go through a manufacturer for your prints, is it because making them is too expensive? i see you don't make stickers, is there a reason? is a laser cutting machine worth it when debuting ? or superfluous? what did you use to design your website (it's very pretty btw)? do you have advice on getting people interested in checking it out?
how does one deal with sales being down, mentally, and how to be patient in the beginning?
does managing orders require a lot of organization? is a label maker worth the time it saves? in general, do you recomment buying your own machines (printer, or button maker) or stick with manufacturers? also, do you have advice on reconcialiting it with anticapitalism because im feeling conflicted about outsourcing labor and adding products to this world... is setting up shopify very hard ? are taxes a hassle ? sorry if it's a lot, i have trouble wrapping my head around every step i'll have to do and want to avoid beginner mistakes if i can. if you have any other advice and traps to avoid i'd be very grateful
dude this is SO many questions.
the short answer is: everything is hard and takes work.
there is no “right” time to start a shop or start selling stuff. you just kind of do it and hope. i opened mine in college (around 2012 or 2013) because i had already made some merch for a local convention and i wanted to sell the leftovers. my store didn’t become viable as a full time job until around 2017—it was a means to subsidize the income i had from working as a freelance artist.
also i never went into debt for the store so there was never a moment when my store “became profitable.” unless you’re willing to go into debt for this (not something i’d recommend), it’s a slow slog to get to a point where you can afford to sell items with a higher price point at a high enough volume that it is viable as a full career. inventory costs money and the more profitable items cost more money. it takes a lot of time and work and momentum to make this your whole job.
buying your own equipment is only worth it if you plan to use that equipment for multiple years to get a good return on investment.
however a label printer is almost always worth it, but i wouldn’t buy one until you’re getting at least 20 orders a month.
low price point items like buttons and stickers can be good to start out (i used to sell both) but at a certain point, unless you’re selling a massive amount of them there is a limit to how profitable a $3 item can be.
managing a store takes an amount of work/organization that is proportional to the number of products you have/sell. i will say i was an absolute disaster at this when i handled everything myself, which is why the store only became viable as a full time job once devin joined me.
i use squarespace for my portfolio site and shopify for the store. they’re relatively hassle free.
if you’re making most of your income from store or freelance work, find a local CPA to help you do taxes. also keep a running spreadsheet for all your expenses and income. separate your expenses into groups based on the different types of deductions (i.e. office equipment, travel, etc.) and update that spreadsheet, at minimum, once a month. then taxes are easy.
as far as anticapitalist mindset goes… do your due diligence when it comes to sussing out the manufacturers/companies you work with and try to create thoughtfully.
anyway next time you ask for advice please just pick like 3 questions at a time. this was… a lot.

Question if you’re fine answering!
What’s advice you would give young people wanting to open an art store for the first time? If that makes sense?
this is a very general question and there is SO much to cover so i'll just put a buncha different points:
research research research all your store platform options (etsy, shopify, bigcartel, kofi, etc.) before choosing one and, when you find one that will work for you, look into how established artists structure their stores if you need help on building your own. you'll want products to have a decent picture and a description that lists its size and shipment options. not required but def recommended, i'd see about adding a faq page too that mentions shipping times, if you'll replace damaged artwork, etc.
prioritize having pictures of the physical product over the digital file (if applicable) customers want to see what they're getting!
keep track of all your finances (easiest way is to just use a google spreadsheet) track your revenue, fees, production costs, shipping costs, supplies, everything you spent money on for your store. i can give a tutorial on how to set up a spreadsheet if you need!
DO NOT SKIMP on protective measures for your art. buy chipboard, buy plastic sleeves/baggies, buy rigid envelopes, buy extras of your products! have lots of scotch tape! chipboard i think is the most important one that i hear some artists don't use. PLEASE USE IT HSDFSDFS it's a sturdy but flexible and thin piece of cardboard! this will make sure your artwork won't be as easily bent or creased during shipment. you can find these at crafts stores or online!
research post offices in your area. (if US) look into cost of postage, travel times to the post office, if you have a post office with a 24/7 kiosk available, and decide if you are willing to ship international (no shame in choosing not to!) — for this and the last bullet, i have a lot more about how to ship your art if you need it
optional but strongly recommended: handwrite your thank you notes! nothing makes people feel better than to see a personal touch in their order saying it was packaged with care by the artist themselves. you don't need good handwriting to write a simple ty 💕
be annoying about your store. promote it like fucking crazy (on your own blog, please don't self-promo on other ppl's blogs hsdfsdfs) and make it fun!
i hope that helps :') feel free to ask for clarification or about other things and i'll try my best to provide an answer!
and last thing, i'm not sure what you define as "young", but keep in mind that most platforms and paypal require you to be 18 or older to use their services!

Crochetters and knitters: BUYER BEWARE
There is a business named Rebel Yarn Co who used to be named threadhead fiber arts who has attempted to scam me for 56 dollars due to non, shipment, refusing to ship my order and demanding i file a chargeback with my bank and then contested the chargeback, lying that she shipped my order which never happened.
Then freaked out cursing at me, acting like a pathetic bully when I asked her why that happened, blaming Shopify and how she’s not part of anything that has to do with her own business. I had to demand she stop yelling at me and how I did not place a preorder, she ignored everything I said and ranted on and on.
This person is unstable, a liar and has currently scammed thousands from many people between Oct 2022 and March 2023.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PERSON. She primarily advertises on Instagram but I’m warning here as well.
She is blocking everyone who attempts to contact her about missing orders and screams/curses at you a mile a minute when the never ending list of health conditions, mental health conditions and car accidents don’t work as manipulation tactic. She’s a chronic liar and regularly makes things up. I have already escalated this with my bank to get my refund and sent my complaint to the DA of NC. This will likely become a class action suit judging her behavior and the volume of people involved. she has already been removed from a yarn crawl but I don’t want this happening to anyone else.
If you’ve ordered from her, contact your bank immediately!! there is a Reddit about this as well, send me a message if you want the link to be in touch with everyone else she scammed. It’s the same story for everyone.

thoughts on the hiidef extra stock and refund stuff? I just don’t understand how they suddenly found tons of extra products that they didn’t know about. It seems more likely that this extra stock was hidden to make it seem like his stuff sold out. Hiidef is a small business, I’m not believing that they just lost all of this stuff. And with the random refunds… it probably was just a technical error with Shopify, but it was handled so poorly. Like “hey we accidentally refunded your order but there’s still like one shirt left on the website if you want to buy it again! Oh wait never mind awsten just tweeted that there’s more available so it’ll prob be sold out before you can buy it again haha sorry!!” And once again awsten is ignoring the situation like he always does when people call him out. (I also think it’s hilarious how the sweatshirt sweatshirts have never sold out, not even now)
i mean it was always kinda shady in the first place how much stock was there in the first place but he really needs to get off his high horse to realize how broken their entire system is considering they only have a small amount of people actually handling the stock and attempting to run the website + high demand from scarcity marketing - iz

Whether you are a student looking to make some extra cash, a working professional wanting to build a side hustle, or a corporate escapee and whosoever who is starting to build an online business need to have some cash inflow for the further smooth flow of your business.
There are many sites out there saying make money like $100 a day with surveys, with google sites, etc. Of course, they may make you money for a certain period of time but are not long-term and passive.
You always need to look out for ways to make money that are passive. You need to earn money every month and double it. Here are my top creative ideas to make money online. These real methods have worked in past and will work now and then too.
Freelancing
You would have heard a lot of this from others. But yes, this is the first best way to earn some cash before starting out your business. It will help to get some extra money into your pocket as well as fund a little for your software if you are starting out. You can start freelancing with no investment upfront. It's FREE. You can make money online freelancing.
Don’t worry if you think you don’t have any skills. You can learn small skills by taking a free trial in skillshare. There are tons of gigs people are looking for to get their work done and with the right process, you can make money as a freelancer.
By the year 2027, freelancers are projected to make up the majority of the workforce in the United States, with 50.9% of the working population. In fact, at the current growth rate, it’s estimated that 67.6 million Americans will be freelancing by the end of 2021. That’s 42% of the American workforce! (Website planet).
What are you waiting for? Search in-demand gigs on google keywords and search trends. And yes, patience is the key. You need to wait a few weeks while you get your first gig. Start promoting your services on social media and find your spot.
Starting a Blog
As of 2021, there are more than 570 million blogs on the internet, based on activities reported by WordPress, Tumblr, Blogger, Wix, Squarespace, and Medium (and this number is constantly growing) (firstsiteguide).
Now do not get overwhelmed, the one thing is though blogs are growing rapidly, and so are people reading blogs. Of course, blogs are saturated, but when you niche down and find your audience then you can achieve your space in this sea of bloggers.
Starting a blog, yesterday, today, tomorrow, is possible as long as you are using proper rules, like optimizing your SEO, giving unique content to your readers, and more. But, the best day to start blogging for your profit is today and now.
Let us look at some stats on why you should start your blog today
61% of online shoppers in the US say they made a purchase after getting a recommendation from a blog post
Companies that blog actively have 126% better lead growth
80% of bloggers say that they see positive business results from their blogging efforts
Blogs affect customers’ buying decisions as 47% of them go through 3 to 5 blog posts before the buying process (Firstsiteguide)
Give me a better reason why you should not start a blog after these mind-blowing facts.
You can start a niche blog, review blog, cooking blog, gaming blog, parenting blog, and more. Just write what you know or keep an eye on your competitors and outperform them. And blogging is the best for your long-term passive income.
Starting a YouTube channel
Now as we’ve known how YouTube has evolved to be like a video search engine, the platform has grown considerably and is been growing millions of YouTubers.
Again, let’s talk about some statistics about YouTube. YouTube has 2.3 billion users worldwide.
79 percent of Internet users have their own YouTube account.
YouTube viewers watch over a billion hours of video on the platform every day and generate billions of views. (YouTube, 2021)
YouTube is localized in more than 100 countries and is available in 80 languages. (YouTube, 2021)
Every day people watch one billion hours of video on YouTube (source-Oberlo)
Now, the real question is how to make money out of YouTube? Well, there is enough space for you to sink in. Are you a coach, fitness enthusiastic, a person with good communication, or even just an individual with no skills at all? You can make videos, monetize your YouTube account, and earn from AdSense and affiliate marketing.
Umm! Some people may say that YouTube is not for me. I don’t know how to make and produce videos. I don’t have any skills. Well, I have a solution for that. You can make money from YouTube absolutely by not showing your face at all.
Here are some of the niches you can make videos y not showing your face.
If u do not want to record videos, you can head up to free stock videos or images and give a voice-over and start making content.
If you feel shy to start, you will never get ahead. So, the one thing I want to tell to everyone who is shy to make videos and for my younger self, stop doubting yourself. Just do it, don’t care about criticism, success will follow you
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is when a person earns a commission for referring a product to others. For eg: You register yourself as an affiliate to promote certain products, when the person you promote the product click on your unique affiliate link and purchases through your link you earn a commission. A commission can range for each and every product.
And the affiliate marketing model is the best, safe model for beginners. You can drive traffic for free and for paid as well. You can be an affiliate marketer if you need a passive income, you don’t need to have any other customer support, you can work from home at your own comfort.
Now, how to register as an affiliate. First, think of what do you like the most. What products do you love using? Type the name in google and see whether there is an affiliate program or just see other affiliate programs in your niche. Choose the one you love so that you don’t feel tired and exhausted in the long run.
There are many other sites where you can choose your products from. You can take products from Click bank, Digistore24, Share a Sale, Jvzoo, and similar other platforms.
Here are the best affiliate platforms for you to choose from
How do you want to promote is the next question?
Well, you can create landing pages in click funnels, kartra, or builderall and promote them through ads. If you are on your budget, you could start a blog and promote it. You can write blogs for free on medium.com. It is a cost-effective way to sell your products. You can create a YouTube channel, talk about how you love using those products, and promote them, you could even use Pinterest to promote your blogs and landing pages.
We all know that Pinterest is a visual search engine and no doubt you can get quite a good sale from affiliate marketing in Pinterest
Once you get your first sale and testimonials you can start your Instagram page and build trust with others to promote the products and scale your business.
Instagram Influencer
Do you love making TikTok videos, always want to be active on social media? Then here is your chance to start earning being an Instagram influencer.
You can start by creating content about the topic you want to talk about the most. If creating a YouTube channel feels a bit challenging, grow your audience and monetize them through Instagram. Feel free to talk about what you feel.
Collect your follower's email IDs. Once you become consistent with the audience and platform, the content you are generating makes a digital course or something you think to monetize your people. Giveaway a lot of freebies, checklists, and many other things to lead your audience to the product you are offering. Build trust with them and try to use all of Instagram's available channels. Use carousals, reels, IGTV, go live to show behind the scenes of your work, and more!.
Staying consistent is the key to grow your audience on Instagram.
Starting a T-Shirt Business
Whether you’re an artist, writer, designer, or entrepreneur, physical products can be the perfect canvas for monetizing your creativity. Yes, you heard that right. You can start your own merch for free. Starting an online T-shirt business is booming in this era an why don’t you be one of them. You do not need to hold any inventory, just design your t-shirt online and publish it.
Let me make it clear. So what is print on demand? How to start your free t-shirt business
Print on demand is a process where you work with a supplier to customize white-label products (like baseball hats or tote bags) with your own designs to sell them on a per-order basis under your own brand.
That means you don’t pay for the product until after you’ve actually sold it, so there’s no need to buy in bulk or hold any inventory yourself.
Plus, with print-on-demand services, everything after the sale, from printing to shipping, is handled by your supplier. Once you’ve set everything up, it takes only a few clicks to fulfill an order once you’ve made a sale.
You can use print-on-demand services to:
Test a business idea or new product line for an existing business without the risks that come with buying inventory.
Monetize an audience you’ve built. Printing on demand is a great option if you’re a YouTuber, cartoonist, or social media influencer who wants to spend your time creating content instead of fulfilling orders.
Create original products for a niche of customers. For example, apparel for people who are passionate about gaming.
Easily print one-off items—t-shirts, books, shoes, bags, wall art, phone cases, clocks, laptop skins, mugs, and so much more. You can send these as gifts or keep them for yourself and your team (source-Shopify)
You can get started with print on demand for almost free with teespring, redbubble, printful . Or you can start your online store on Shopify and sell them as a custom branding.
Do not worry if you are not a pro in graphic designing. You can design your t-shirt on canva and paste the design on your t-shirt too. This is a legitimate and easy business for beginners online. You can promote your merch by using SEO, keywords, and various social platforms.
Let's take a look at the print on demand statistics:
This statistic depicts the market value of the custom t-shirt printing market worldwide from 2016 to 2025. In 2016, the global custom t-shirt printing market was valued at 1.16 billion U.S. dollars, and was forecast to reach a value of 3.1 billion U.S. dollars by 2025.
This is insane amount the industry is making from print-on-demand only.
COVID-19 impact Fabric face mask accounted for 11.14% of all goods sold through Printify in September 2020. (Printify)
A 2020 survey revealed that about 96% of millennials and Gen Z have concerns about how the ongoing pandemic will impact the economy. (BigCommerce)
With more people staying at home and focusing on home improvement projects, the Home & Living category is on the rise, with the first 6 months of 2020 seeing a 243.77% growth. KDP allows you to self-publish eBooks and paperbacks for free. Amazon gives you direct access to your book on Amazon and allows you to create a product detail page for your book. Publishing with KDP gives you full rights to your book, which is not something a traditional publishing house typically allows.
What types of content can I publish through KDP?
KDP allows you to publish eBooks (Kindle) and paperback books. However, KDP does not allow the creation of magazines, periodicals, or spiral-bound books.
Content types typically published using KDP include but are not limited to the following:

Poetry
Textbooks (source: amazon.com)

Selling on Etsy
Etsy is an online market place that works as an intermediary between customers and artists, crafters of handmade items or collectors of vintage products. The company engages in customer to customer (C2C) or peer to peer (P2P) e-commerce in which both the seller and the buyer are private individuals or micro-businesses. This is in contrast to other forms of internet commerce such as B2C or B2B (source: Statista).
Let's head to our facts about how profitable it is to sell on Etsy
Etsy had over 2.5 million sellers at the end of 2019, and we can only expect that this number has increased.
Etsy sellers live all over the world, in 234 countries
62% of Etsy sellers are based in the US.
California is home to the most Etsy sellers with 14% of US-based Etsy shops. (credits: veeqo)
Etsy is a huge commerce platform, with an especially strong US presence. Plus, the fact that most sellers are multi-channel retailers—and also selling their products on marketplaces like Amazon and Shopify sites—suggests that the platform isn’t just for amateur makers. It’s for eCommerce businesses.
So if you’re already selling handmade or vintage products on another platform, it’s worth it to expand and start selling on Etsy.
If you’re starting a business, it’s important to run the numbers before setting up shop—or at least quitting your day job. Etsy does have associated costs, though it’s worth noting that the listing and transaction fees are lower than other platforms, like Amazon and eBay. (cre: veeqo)
So, if you can start your print on demand you can sell it on Etsy too. If you are good at handicrafts Etsy is the best place to promote.
Conclusion
So here are the top 10 ways where in you can make legitimate money online. You can try all these methods one by one. Well, everyone will look for quick methods to make money online, but those won’t suffice for long run.

if all these anons complained to shopify about there not being a way to hold items in cart maybe they'd change it but I guess it's easier to tell you how you've ruined their entire month. like I understand it's disappointing when you don't get to buy a limited item but. berating small business owners for not being as smooth a shopping experience as Amazon is ridiculous.
honestly i just think people expect me to have total control over every aspect of my store, which i just… don’t. 😓
i do plan to reach out to shopify about the cart/checkout issue but i haven’t had time yet. there’s just a lot going on.

How to design a Shopify "Buy One Get One Free" promotion
You may be aware, as an online businessperson, that there are many strategies to enhance your sales, and discounts can be one of them. Discounts are perceived as one of the most effective short-term techniques that businesses may use as long as their inventory is still present and there is no reduction in quantity. But it is true that not all discounts are created equally. Discount discounts are a nice option, but Buy One Get One has recently become more popular. We will go over more specifics about Buy One Get One (BOGO) and how to implement buy one get one free on Shopify in order to increase your sales and profit.
Buy One Get One is one of the most popular promotional strategies in use today. There is just one motive for this: to raise the average order value by getting customers to add more items to their carts.
On the buyer's side, people typically anticipate receiving something for free when they shop. With Buy One Get One, clients will feel as though they are getting something extra, which will encourage them to make additional purchases. Additionally, according to recent studies, buyers who receive a 50% discount on an item are more likely to purchase twice as much as they otherwise would.
Tumblr media
How to configure Shopify for Buy One Get One Free
First, sign in to your Shopify account. You must first connect in to your Shopify account using your email address and password.
Step 2: Select the Discounts section. To access the discount page in this phase, select the Discounts area on the left side of the screen.
Choose Create Discount Code in step three. Your page will appear empty if you haven't created any discounts. To proceed, click the Create Discount Code button located directly on the page to begin creating your discount code.
Step 4: Enter the promotional code You can enter the discount code to proceed. Customers will receive this code and add it to their checkout when using it. Shopify gives you the option to generate code or let you write your own.
Choose the Buy X, Get Y option in step 5. You can select Buy X Get Y from the options section to go to the discount page.
Step 6: The Customer Purchases section You can educate your clients about the high-quality goods they must purchase in order to receive the discount in the Customer Buys section.
Step 7: The Clients Receive You can show what considerations your consumers will have while buying things in the Customers Gets section. Customers could, for instance, buy everything in your store and get a 50% discount on one item, but they could only do this once per order.
the customer eligibility in Step 8 You can easily set the discount to be offered to customers, specific groups of people, or an individual in the Customer Eligibility section.
The Usage Limits in Step 9 The restriction for this coupon can be adjusted in the Usage limits section. With Shopify, you can specify how many times a coupon can be used before restricting it to a specific consumer. For example, you permit your clients to apply this voucher 10 times by numerous people.
Set the dates in Step 10 As you can see, there are dates that indicate the validity of the discount. Your customers won't lose their validity if you don't save the date.
Step 11: Look over the Summary on the left. You can review the Summary at this stage, which is on the left. When everything has been changed as necessary, select the Save Discount button at the bottom or click the Save button at the top to save your changes.

What a ride huh?
So much has happened. I just moved into a new place with my GF. Spending a little time on myself this summer also. This fall I am going to be relaunching Odio as a proper brand. I have got all my licensing worked out and paid up. We are now experimenting with the best ways to print on clothing. There will be a few limited screen printed shirts coming out soon. I am going to link a shopify to my insta to sell them as well as limited prints with the goal of buying a pro grade clothing printer. That will be going live in the next couple of months, and will be how to acquire physical work until I get my official site set up. Until then if you would like to support my efforts please check out odioart/patreon.com.  I am currently working on some new art also got some new events coming up. (Beautiful boys, the annual Junji Ito retrospective, and the return of DAICON V.) Thank you so much for all the support. Thank you so much for allowing me to create, color, and figure out the next steps on this weird little creative journey.  The Best is yet to come...  - Wolfgang Von Odio
