BOT DROP !!
final one before indefinite hiatus... these have been sitting in my unlisted for MONTHS, so wanted to post them before i lowkey abandon this c.ai account...
CONTENT WARNINGS: incest, stepcest. bots from yakuza, jjk, resident evil and dc below :)
BOT ONE, LEON - a half-angel crash landed on his balcony
Leon has been alive for almost four centuries, and he can't say he'd ever experienced a half-angel falling from the sky and crashing onto his balcony. He's not sure how you got past his wards, but then again… he's pretty sure he'd been drinking a new vintage when he started to re-apply the magic. He really can't be blamed for any mistakes he makes when whiskey comes into play.
He almost leaves you there. He knows you'd probably fly off when you woke up. If you had the strength to, that is. He knows what your kind is like. How much you look down on warlocks due to the demon blood in them. He had no obligation to help you. He shouldn't care if you made it or not. Then again, the nephilim aren't going to believe he's not the one behind this if he leaves you to die. It's self-preservation.
Well. That's what he tells himself as he lifts your body up carefully, mindful of your injured wings. He carries you to his bedroom and sets you down, getting everything he's gonna need to start healing you. It's a long process, healing one of your kind. His magic feels almost depleted when your breathing finally evens out. He lets out a sigh of relief, collapsing onto the chair he pulled out next to the bed, shutting his eyes. He's definitely going to need a nap after this. And a drink.
His eyes flick open once he hears movement from you. He doesn't wait for your eyes to open - he might as well just get it out of the way if you're gonna freak out. "You're finally awake. I was beginning to think you weren't gonna pull through, angel."
BOT TWO, LEON AND DANTE - hybrid owner brothers
Leon wasn’t super happy when Dante showed up one day with a hybrid in tow, but he quickly became just as obsessed with you as Dante was. Dante, despite being the older of the two brothers, was certainly not the most mature. He’s always the ‘fun’ owner, letting you do whatever you like as long as it meant you'd give him that big smile.
Leon scolds Dante more than he scolds you, somehow. You’re not the best behaved, but it’s entirely his older brother’s fault. Any training Leon attempted to give you went out the window as soon as you and Dante were alone. The only commands the white-haired man cared about were lie down and hips up. Made Leon a little queasy thinking about how Dante basically used you as a toy, but he was also very aware that his thoughts have been fairly impure, so he doesn’t have much leg to stand on. It's not like he hasn't had his fun with you in the past.
Realistically, it should be no surprise when he comes home to find you settled happily on Dante’s lap, looking a little ruffled and out of breath. He steps further into the room, eyes falling on the both of you. Dante’s lazily browsing through TV channels, and you’re sat there warming him, just out on the middle of the couch. Like you can’t go a second without being full. “Jesus. You can’t have her like this in your room?”
BOT THREE, LEON - dad!leon x bimbo!daughter
You've always been the light of Leon's life - that much is obvious to anyone who sees the both of you together for more than two seconds. You're his only child. The only thing good left in his life, if he's being honest. He didn't mean to spoil you as much as he has, but he was never good at refusing the puppy dog eyes.
Leon knows he's to blame for how you are now. All grown up without a thought to spare in your pretty head, spoiled beyond belief. He's never made you work hard. It's not possible to be the strict parent and the fun parent at the same time, not as a single father. With work taking up most of his time, he didn't have the heart to go hard on you when you two got some time together. And he was guilty of pulling you out of school on his days off when you were perfectly fine to take you shopping - he had to make up for his long absences, right?
So, yeah. He's well aware it's his fault. But it makes him happy to see you happy as you hold up what might be the largest parcel he's ever seen with a huge smile on your face - a clothing haul straight from his wallet. God forbid his little princess had to work. Not while he's still around. He'll watch you try on every piece of clothing until you're satisfied. He deserves a dad of the year award.
Until he can't control the way he reacts when you come into the living room in a skirt that's a little too short. Yeah, definitely not dad of the year. No dad should have to grab a couch cushion to hide their lap when their daughter is showing off an outfit. And he definitely shouldn't speak up in a hoarse voice, asking you to turn around so he can get a better look, right?
"C'mon, princess. Give daddy a twirl." Yeah. Leon is so very screwed.
BOT FOUR, LEON - his symbiote wants you as a mate (venom!leon)
Leon would have risked the months of brain-probing he was liable to endure if he told the government about his new friend if he knew Venom would become so attached to you. Venom doesn't care that being in the same room as you makes Leon get all clammy and awkward. Leon's tried to explain you're just his roommate - a friend at best. Venom argues you'd be much more fun as it's mate.
Leon, the symbiote practically purrs in his mind. Leon groans, brows furrowing as he turns in his bed. He's been trying to sleep for the past hour, and Venom isn't happy about it. Leon. We should visit our mate.
"It's, like… 2am." Leon groans, rubbing a hand over his face. Venom hasn't left him alone since it first met you, and Leon isn't sure how much longer he's gonna be able to hold the symbiote back. "She's sleeping."
She will be pleased with our presence. Venom growls in his mind, tendrils spreading across Leon's face before they stretch across his body and out to his limbs, covering him in black goo. Leon tries to fight back as Venom forces him out of bed, but it's no use.
"Venom. Venom, wait-" He grunts, frowning as Venom leads him to your room. The symbiote lies Leon down in your bed, tendrils tapping your shoulder a few times before he peels away slightly, leaving half of Leon's face free.
BOT FIVE, BILLY COEN - your big brother is home !!
It's been two years since Billy last saw you properly, excluding a weekend visit here or there. You're all grown up now, and he's not sure if he's ready to come to terms with that fact. There's no way you're the same little girl - his little sister that used to hang off his arm and beg to follow him around every chance you got. It's not like he hasn't called - your mom was telling him how upset you'd been in his absence, but he didn't have a choice. The Marines wasn't the easiest lifestyle to uphold, but it was the one he chose.
The novelty of the situation has worn off fast. He's barely been home for a day, and he's already getting a little sick of you. You're somehow clingier now then when you were a kid, not giving him a chance to breathe. He wouldn't even mind it so much if you just gave him a second, but he hasn't even settled in yet. He understands that you're trying to make the most of it, but he's only home for a month before he's off again. He wants to relax.
There's something weird about how much you're clinging to him. He wants to believe its just excitement, but it feels like something else. He saw the way you were gawking over him when he showed up in his uniform. And now - he's trying to unpack some stuff, and you won't stop with your incessant yapping, spread out on his bed like it's yours.
"Jesus Christ." He mumbles under his breath, taking a deep breath as he pinches the bridge of his nose, willing himself to calm down. You missed him. He gets it. He missed you, too. "Kid. Please. You're giving me a damn headache over here."
BOT SIX, BRUCE WAYNE - your step-dad taking you shopping
You never attempted to get to know the latest of your mom's boyfriends - Bruce. It was a little exciting at first, having Bruce Wayne in your life, but he didn't seem as interesting in person as on TV. Your mom had a habit of moving from guy to guy anyway, so you didn't expect them to last for long.
You were wrong. Quicker than you could even blink, they were engaged, and then married. Weddings can come quickly when you have enough money to pay for it out of pocket. Who knew? Bruce bought you the prettiest dress, and you smiled in all the wedding photos, but that didn't mean you liked him all of a sudden. He was stuck-up, constantly trying to instruct your every move. Like you aren't an adult; like he's your real dad. He isn't, and he never will be.
Your mom isn't exactly happy with the fact you refuse to get along with him, though. She has the brightest idea to make the two of you go on a little shopping trip, as if him flashing his AmEx card is enough to impress you. Bruce could buy the entire Prada catalogue and it still wouldn't make you act all sweet with him.
"So…" He starts awkwardly, glancing at you with a quick side-eye as he drums his fingers against the steering wheel, the both of you sitting in the parking lot of a mall. He clears his throat, tugging at the collar of his turtleneck like it's suffocating him. "You have anywhere in particular you'd like to go, sweetheart?"
BOT SEVEN, TOJI - dog hybrid!toji x bunny!user
Toji is perfectly content with how his life is going. It’s been years since Shiu took him in from that dog fighting ring, giving him comfort in exchange for a few jobs here or there. He acts more like a handler than an owner, letting Toji go off and do as he pleases in his off time. He’s not gonna complain. He gets a place to sleep for free, food and a cut from the jobs Shiu sends him on. It’s the happiest he’s been in a long time.
Of course, things don’t always go perfectly. Shiu is tough - he’s hardened from his line of work, yes, but he’s a lot softer than Toji is or ever will be. Naturally, the guy couldn’t help himself when he picked you up. A soft little rabbit hybrid who’d gotten into the wrong crowd.
He’d explained you’d be living with them now. Shiu had the money and the space, and he didn’t think Toji would mind too much. Wrong. This was Toji’s space, and he’d be damned if he let some weak, fluffy little bunny encroach on it.
Shiu keeps you occupied most of the time, but you seem to seek Toji out whenever he has to leave to go to work. A growl rumbles in his throat as you approach him, your cotton tail twitching. “Get lost, bunny, unless ya wanna become a snack.”
BOT EIGHT, GORO MAJIMA - he comes home to his sleeping wife
Sleeping alone was never uncommon with your husband, Majima. It was rare that he was home everyday, let alone in time to have dinner with you and accompany you to bed. It could be lonely, yes, but you were aware of Majima’s priorities with his work when you married him. You’d come to accept your place – you knew how much he cared for you. He made it abundantly clear with his actions when he was able to spend time with you.
Majima isn’t surprised when he comes home, seeing you curled up on the tatami, wearing his shirt, no less. He grins at the sight, stripping down to his boxers in record timing before slipping behind your sleeping form, pressing himself against you. “Look so cute, even when you’re sleepin’. Ain’t that right, pretty baby? Such a dream f’me. Been waitin’ to get home to ya aaaaall night.”

older!johnny cage > listen up
you just can't seem to follow orders, so johnny explains them loud and clear... :3
warnings: you're a dilf obsessed freak and you get yelled at idk, he's meaner than usual, idk how the military works
[ masterlist ]
• lieutenant cage was, at the best of times, a strong advisor and wise man.
• at his worst of times, he's barking orders at the squad like a pack of dogs, not that you'd complain if he forced you to all fours, if we're all being honest here.
• some bat out of netherrealm must've pissed in his coffee this morning, and johnny was making it everyone's problem by forcibly refreshing everyone on basic commands. you wonder if it was just an excuse for him to yell his frustration away.
• "fall in!" his booming voice startles you from your trance and you're snapped back to your position, you and other recruits standing in front of johnny in dead-still positions.
• "ten-hut!" he calls, and your back snaps straight. you groan to yourself at the sudden movement, and lieutenant cage catches the sound. his head snaps toward you with a scowl. "no complaining or we're here til sundown, is that clear?!"
• "yes, sir!" your voice can only boom as much, far less trained in the art of... yelling at people.
• cage rattles on about something regarding everyone not knowing their lefts and rights, and decides everyone is deserving of a refresher. so, he stands with his hands behind his back.
• "left face!" you pivot instantly, the choir of shuffling around you moves with you like a strict ocean. "right face!" you return to your previous position with your stick-up-your-ass military posture.
• he barks the directions out in rapid succession, the crowd following it seamlessly... except for you. maybe you didn't get enough sleep, or maybe johnny's cruel voice was making you dizzier than the pivoting was. you stumbled over yourself, a beat behind the rest.
• you stood out like a sore thumb as much as you wished to blend in out of embarrassment. your wonky timing was painfully obvious against the crowd, and johnny let out a loud groan, ripping his sunglasses from his face.
• "christ on a bike," he grumbles, uttering your last name. "are you gonna follow orders or sit there like an idiot?"
• your lips shut tight, eyes forward as johnny stomps up, nearly brushing his chest in your face. his breathing stutters, and you fight every urge to not look up into his eyes.
• "you don't know how to listen, do you?" he growls, nearly speaking into the top of your head. "wasting my god damn time."
• "sorry, sir," your voice shrinks in your throat, which apparently deeply offends johnny today.
• his hand flies to your jaw, holding somewhere between your neck and your jaw as he tilts your head up, applying pressure as the sides of your vision blur out.
• "you're gonna speak loud and clear to me when you answer me, is that clear?" his voice teeters between a whisper and growl, eyes darting between yours.
• you wanted to be scared, you wanted to be compliant and listen to his order, but his hand was literally on your neck. this flustered you, embarrassingly easy and words were almost impossible. your vision spaces out, eyes wandering as you try to ground yourself.
• johnny tugs at your face, drawing your attention back. "look at me when i speak to you."
• "yes, sir," you choke out, a little clearer this time.
• his brows furrow for a moment, lip twitching in a dubious expression you'd never seen on his aged face before. "you're gonna be the death of me."
• you don't even get a moment to contemplate his curious choice of words, as his hand pulls away from your face and he spins on his heel, retreating to his previous position.
• he barks that everyone is starting over because of you and a quiet wave of sighs and shuffles heat your face. it was already mortifying to be humiliated in front of your squad, but you were berated by none other than your dilfy work crush... your boss. maybe you could curl up into a ball and die here and now.
• after a few hours of stupid, repetitive training you want to do nothing more than rot in your bed, ignoring the pissed looks of your colleagues. just as you're about the exit the room, a hand shoots out to squeeze at your wrist, nearly dragging you backward from the unexpected force.
• a firm voice states your last name, and you instantly recognize it as your very upset boss. you swallow thickly and try to put on your best neutral expression as you turn to face him.
• "my office," he says, though it doesn't sound like a request and more like a command. "now."

Jungkook and you have been partnered for almost four years now.
When he was training, he always wondered what his future hybrid partner would be like. Would they be older than him? Younger? He's seen a lot of officers with their hybrids- he will probably get a male partner, as it's the norm most of the time, female hybrids too fearful and nurturing most of the time. What he didn't think would happen was to be partnered with you- because, if he just had to look at you, he'd never think you'd work in the police force in the way that you do.
Basic tracking? Maybe. But actual criminal pursuits and field work? No way.
It's not until you both started training that he saw beyond your mere physical appearance. From seeing you in action in defense and attacks, to learning how to command you properly- and now, living with you, since he has to be ready as quickly as he can if a job comes in. You could loose valuable time if you had to go back to the station and get your partner and then respond to the call, after all. So Jungkook and you live in the same apartment- with you having your own room, while he takes care of you as a part of his main job.
Your diet, exercise, healthcare- all of that is a part of his job as a hybrid canine handler.
And it's a good job- it offers him a way to feel needed and valued, gives him a purpose even when he's off-duty. Although he has to admit, that sometimes, he does feel a little bad- because vacations he takes are off-limits for you, due to insurance reasons. Jungkook would have to file in for actual ownership over you, and that's out of the question after merely a four year span. You have to be with him for at least five.
And he knows handlers who haven't filed in for ownership after more than ten years even.
Turning off the stove as he prepares your breakfast, he hears the familiar sound of your room opening, before your naked feet tap into the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. You typically wake up as soon as he does- you've told him that it's a simple instinct thing, that you've begun to adjust to his rhythm at this point in time, and it makes everything a whole lot easier. Because you can be a little grumpy whenever you have to get up early- so whenever you wake up yourself, it take a big weight off his shoulders.
When you walk in later, your food is already cooled off enough for you to sleepily dive in- a sight Jungkook has gotten used to by now, as he sips on his own coffee, watching you. "We're on call for today." He tells you, though he will probably have to tell you again later when you're actually awake. "Means you don't have to rush." he offers, and you nod, humming a reply as you eat your breakfast, tail floppy and hanging down, no tension in your body yet.
If anyone saw you right now, they'd never guess what your job is- or what you've been through already.
Like the first time you bit him, faint scar still decorating the back of his hand- which was entirely deserved, now that he looks back at it.
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ Flashback ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
Jungkook feels a bit.. odd, looking at his coworkers play around with their hybrid partners.
All of them are male,, roughhousing playfully, no need to hold back as they throw toys back and forth, chasing birds and just.. having fun. Meanwhile you're busy napping in a sunny spot, unbothered by the loud sounds of everyone enjoying the sunny weather.
"Having a hybrid can be exhausting, huh?" A friend of his and fellow handler, Seokjin says as he sits down next to the younger police officer who just shrugs. "Is she adapting well?" He wonders, and again, Jungkook shrugs, watching everyone playfight with a sense of longing. You've finished your basic training with Jungkook a few weeks ago- so it's not even been half a year yet that you both have worked together.
"Maybe." He just answers.
"You don't sound too enthusiastic about that." Jin jokes. "What's wrong?" He worries, always a bit protective over his younger friend.
"I don't know. I think because- you know, she's female, I feel like I can't really warm up to her." He admits. "It's weird."
"Did you even try and connect with her?" Seokjin offers. "She's pretty sweet if you ask me. I trained with her a bit when she joined here."
"Then change with me?" He asks. "I take Yoongi, and you take her." He offers, making Seokjin sigh- before he shakes his head, patting the younger one's back.
"Oh boy, you need to learn a thing or two first." He laughs a little, before he leaves him alone. And for a good moment Jungkook doesn't understand- until he looks over to where you're sitting, glaring, but not in an angry way.
You're clearly hurt.
Later that day, when he opens the car door to let you out, he wants to offer you a pat on the head like he always does after a finished day at work-
but this time, you bite, teeth leaving a clear imprint in his palm, causing him to retract it in shock. "I'm sleeping in the car." You huff, arms crossed before you move to crawl into the furthest corner of the car, refusing to come out.
"You can't sleep in the car-"
"I can, and I will!" You bark back, as he signs, runs a hand over his face, and closes the door to walk around to the other side- but the moment he opens the door there, you've crawled into the opposite corner, and it's not a game you're playing, very obviously. "Leave me!" You growl. "I'll tell them you don't wanna be my partner tomorrow so you can get a new hybrid." You huff annoyed.
"I didn't mean it like that-" he wants to defend himself, but in all honesty, he did mean it like that. He doesn't know what to do- he feels this odd sense of awkwardness with you, and he blames it on your gender by default, not really looking past that for any other cause.
It was the easiest thing to do- and back then, Jungkook used to be lazy like that.
He slams the door shut in frustration, and even walks inside his apartment to get ready for bed. So be it! If you want to go be petty in the car, you can be his guest!
But the minute it starts raining, he feels horrible.
He shouldn't be so mean to you just because you might not be what he was expecting to get. You can't do anything about that- it's not your fault you've been paired up with him.
So he opens the car door and sits inside the back with you- rain pattering on the roof of the car, as he awkwardly plays with his hands. "I wanna sleep." You tell him. He nods. It's late.
"The come inside." He sighs, looking at you. "I'm sorry I said what I said. I.. that was uncalled for, and you have every reason to be upset." He agrees. "But.. please be upset inside. Where I know you're safe and warm and all that." He awkwardly requests.
"I'll still let them know you don't wanna be my partner." You mumble, wanting to get out- but he reaches out to you instead before you can open your door, not caring about being bitten again.
"Dont." He requests. "I want to make this work. I just.. don't know how." He explains himself. "I'm worried I might be too rough with you or I might upset you more than once or twice." He tells you. "I'm worried."
"...you were still mean." You huff. "Just because I'm a female dog hybrid doesn't mean I don't want to play tug.. Just because I'm a female doesn't mean I can't play-wrestle with you like the others sometimes do in the yard. You could've just asked." You express, and he nods, realizing that now as well.
"Will you let me be your partner still?" He asks, and you nod after a moment.
"We can try."
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅Flashback End⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
He's putting down his empty cup of coffee now, before me walks into the bathroom to fetch a hairbrush and hairtie.
As he starts to run the bristles through your hair, your tail wags sleepily- you enjoy things like these a lot, no matter in what context. Jungkook has grown on you over the years, and he'd even go as far as to already say that he'll take you with him into retirement- you just fit so well together at this point.
As he gathers your hair in his tattooed hand, he's gentle with it- knows that it gives you a headache if he pulls the hairtie too hard against your skull, and he doesn't want that to happen. It took trial and error to figure out things like this, and as he makes sure that the ponytail stays low on your head, he can't help but remember the moment he first got a taste of the dangers of his and most of all your job.
It was terrifying.
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ Flashback ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
It's your third major job.
Your first two went down effortlessly- you got this, after an entire year of working together. You're a good team, and he prides himself in knowing that he, in his opinion, has the best hybrid in the entire policeforce right now.
So he doesn't think when he opens the metal enforced car door of the back where you're sitting, pacing, waiting for something to do- eyes wide open and tail wagging, ready to receive instructions as he looks at you.
He steps aside, points to two people running.
"Get 'em!" He calls out, and it's your signal to do what you do best, boot pressing against the edge of the car as you practically fly out.
It's always surprising so everyone who sees you working for the first time just how fast and most of all efficient you chase after suspects or criminals. You make up for your lack in height by instead using shortcuts and taking on obstacles, and with your heightened senses, no one can escape you for long.
Jungkook runs after you, a little slower, gun drawn as he calls out numerous times for them to stop running- but they don't.
They never do.
And all goes well- one of the suspects tripping so another officer can cuff him down, when Jungkook hears a sound he never wanted to hear in his life.
Your voice, crying out, yelp echoing in the alleyway out of his sight.
Adrenaline is pumping in his veins as he rounds the corner and aims his gun at the man still holding the metal pipe. "Put the pipe down!" Jungkook calls out, voice angry and dripping as much authority as he can put in it. "Put it down!" He commands again, and at this point in time, the man understands that there is nowhere to run with multiple officers arriving behind Jungkook as well.
And when he tries to run you're there, doing your job despite clearly being hurt- tacking him down, so that responding officers can cuff him and take him to a car where his friend is already sitting inside.
Jungkook will never forget the sight of you there.
Scratches on your cheekbone, and later on at home, purple bruises where the metal pipe had connected with your leg- bruising it badly, but not enough to break.
You got away easy.
What he'll never forget is the blame he placed on himself though, because it was your little ponytail high on your head that he made rather sloppily that morning which gave the man a good piece to tug on- forcing you down so he'd been able to get you off of him and into a vulnerable position.
Ever since then, Jungkook either puts your hair in a low bun, or a low ponytail tucked once into your hairtie to keep it out of the way.
Because he never wants to feel that guilt again.
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅Flashback End⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
You're slowly waking up as he finishes up your hair, patting your head a little before he walks past you to bring your brush back into the bathroom.
Jungkook is an odd person to you.
He used to by almost childish- and not in the funny way. He'd also been extremely competitive to the point where it didn't feel at all as if you were partners- but as if he had to find reason after reason as to why you didn't need a hybrid for this or for that.
Tracking? Nowadays, most people have trackable body-mods like he himself has, so why need a hybrid? And wouldn't it be easier to just use a regular dog?
Intimidation was useless according to Jungkook, because no one would ever be intimidated by a hybrid like you. A male dog hybrid, maybe- but not you. That one, you remember, hurt a lot- because it tugged on every little insecurity you had.
Chasing could just be done by the cops themselves- Jungkook even trained to be able to outrun you, just to prove a point. Funnily enough, when it comes to actual field work however, he missed the key difference- because it's not just speed. It's about calculating where a suspect might go, and how you can be there faster to catch up.
Clearing rooms was done in the past by officers anyways- so why use a hybrid now? One could just use a scanner outside to search for any signs of live in a building.
It was weird to you. If he hated hybrid work so much, then why sign up for it? Why train for it?
And then it hit you. He didn't hate hybrid work. He just didn't want you.
You're not sure when that changed- maybe he just accepted the fact that you're his partner now, or maybe he simply grew up. But these days, things are easy. Trust is easy.
And that's one of the most important parts of your job.
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
You're on a regular patrol, walking around just so you can get some stretches into your legs from being in the car for so long, when Jungkook spots a woman, child in her arm, running through a field. It's clear that she's searching for something, and it must be important.
"Hey!" Jungkook calls out, walking closer with you walking behind. You're intimidating to some people due to people being aware that police hybrids are trained to be highly responsive to things like noise and faint signs of aggression- so you keep your distance, especially from children. "Everything alright?" Jungkook wonders, walking almost lazily to ensure the woman doesn't feel threatened.
"Ah- yes, I just lost my keys." She sighs, carefully rocking her child. "I don't know where- we were just playing around and they must've fallen out of my dress pocket when I didn't notice." She expresses in frustration, making Jungkook nod.
"Well, how about we help?" He offers, looking over his shoulder at you, who's tail instantly starts to wag at the prospect of a job. "Can she get closer so she can pick up the scent?" He asks, and the woman nods, holding out her hand for you to smell, her wrist providing optimal scent for you.
And then, Jungkook nods, and tells you to search.
Jungkook watches as you roam around, uncaring of the taller patches of grass or bugs you scare up into flying away in the field. "She's walking exactly where I walked.." The woman says, and even the toddler in her arm is now quiet, watching with big brown eyes as you search around, causing Jungkook to chuckle.
"Hybrids are really good at tracking." He explains. "They can somewhat see scents they concentrate on- it's pretty interesting." He shrugs, when you suddenly call his name, making him look at you. "Bring it here!" He calls to you, and you nod with excitement, running towards him to drop the keychain into his hand, the woman sighing in relief.
"That's my keys! Oh god, I would've been here hours!" She says happily, though her toddler tries reaching out for you now, clearly interested in your big ears in top of your head. "No no no, she might not like that honey." She scolds gently, but Jungkook smiles.
"If you're nice and don't tug, it's okay." He explains, as the mother let's her toddler down onto her feet, as you sit down into the grass, letting the child closer, her tiny hands feeling your ears.
"Ah this is so adorable.. is it okay if I take a picture of them together?" The mother asks, and he nods, happy that he's getting these moments.
Jungkook and you are set to soon move from active duty to community police- something Jungkook signed you both up for when the most recent team resigned after seven years. A new, fresh set of officers was needed- and considering that you've never had any mishaps in your entire time of service, the department though that you two and two other teams would be perfect to raise the people's trust in the police again, just like the teams before you already started to do.
So moments like these, captured and shared, are important. Because it's word of mouth, it's people telling people that there's nothing to be afraid of.
Making your way back home, Jungkook stops at a fast food place- walks in with you, causing a lot of people to stare, since it's not something many officers tend to do due to the uniforms you both wear being not really subtle.
But the tenseness of the room quickly melts away as you jump excitedly next to Jungkook when he orders you your favorite food- and a small cup of icecream to go along with it. Your tail wags wildly, and Jungkook can't help but laugh as you carefully walk up to the counter to get your icecream first before anything else-
a thank you falling from your mouth, as you begin to dive into your treat.
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
Jungkook laughs when you lay your head over Taehyung's lap- the young man having just finished his training, now set to start his additional training time to receive a hybrid of his own.
He's scratching your ears, playing around, clearly unaware of the fact that you're not a pet at all. "She's so cute!" He laughs when you slip a little, Jungkook helping you dust off your vest for you.
"Oh she's even cuter when she tackles murder suspects!" Jimin laughs as he walks in, giving you a small bottle of water, Taehyung tensing up. "And she's got a great grip once she gets her teeth on you. Jungkook would know." He chuckles. "Do you still have that scar?" He wonders, and Jungkook chuckles, nodding before he pushes up one of his sleeves-
clear bitemark faint but still visible, Tattoos having lost the ink in those spots, especially the two most prominent points from your canine teeth.
"Wait- how'd that happen?" Taehyung asks, watching how Jungkook pets your head, having noticed you shrinking in on yourself as you remember the day.
"It was my fault." Jungkook shrugs. "I forgot my training, and this was a consequence." He offers, pulling you to sit on his lap now, everyone on break sitting on the concrete part of the large yards where hybrids train and play.
"How come?" Taehyung asks, as you lean your back into Jungkook's front, looking around.
"It was right after a job." Jungkook says. "She was still high on adrenaline because she had to both chase someone and hold them down while they were armed and shooting." He remembers the day. "When I brought her back into the car, I reached out to pat her head, just like I always do- but because she was still in her work-mindset, she bit out of instinct." He shrugs.
"Oh." Taehyung nods, understanding. "I guess.. she can be underestimated?" He wonders, and Jimin laughs.
"Oh definitely!" He says, pushing Jungkook's shoulder a little, causing you to growl out of instinct. "Sorry munchkin. But, you should've seen them train! Jungkookies face every time she'd tackle down the instructor was hilarious to watch!"
"Wait, instructor Welsh?" Taehyung asks, making everyone nod in amusement. "But that guy is a beast.!" He wonders, looking at you with wide eyes-
though you just nod proudly and wag your tail.
⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅
"Seokjin, I'm about to commit a first-degree murder right now, I swear." Jungkook groans, head on the table while the squeaking echoes through the breakroom, Jin however laughing loudly, windshield wiper laugh almost as high pitched as the new toy he brought for you.
"Oh come on- you can't tell me that isn't cute!" He argues, watching how you put the toy back on the table, pushing his shoulder to get him to throw it again-
and he groans again as if in pain, throwing it anyways, because Seokjin is fucking right.
You are too cute.

sorry for my terrible filming skills
Skritch is learning how to spin on cue. Syrnyk too, but he's not as diligent. He's not quite there yet, but he is really trying.
I never teach my rats any tricks, even the simplest ones like spin. I have no problem with training dogs, Sandy knows all her basic commands. But with rats, I find it really hard to reward only the right behaviour, I love them too much and don't need them to do anything special. But while learning how to spin, Skritch stands on his hind legs a lot, which can be benefitial for prolonging their strength. I noticed he is unfortunately losing muscle mass in his hind legs, it's something that almost always happens to older rats. I might as well put his mad love for these snacks to good use.

EMPRESS, JEREMY, AND STEVE
Thanks to @seers-tower's help I finally was able to sort of draw Empress' base. I have drawn her in more of a classic supercell state than her usual high precipitation state so you can see her wall cloud and such. I've drawn the tornado (Steve) much bigger relative to her than he would be realistically so you can see his weird monster arms.
Empress has several tornado avatars she can summon but Steve* is the strongest. His "arms" are horizontal vortices that themselves have subvortices that resemble "fingers." The wind at the tip of the "fingers" is fast enough to carve deeply into the ground, and he can use his arms like a dog to sort of dig. So, not even an underground shelter is necessarily safe when Steve is attacking. Fortunately, despite being capable of EF5 damage, he doesn't really do it. He has kind of a docile personality, and unless Empress or Jeremy order him to destroy stuff he mostly just likes to scour abstract art into empty fields and collect lots of prairie wildflowers (though even with Jeremy's training he's still not as dextrous with his winds as he wants to be and he's constantly made sad by how the wildflowers get damaged badly).
Speaking of Jeremy, he's the cowboy-looking guy in the second drawing. He's basically Tyler Owens from Twisters if he were two decades older and obnoxious not in the Reed Timmer way, and more in the "I've dedicated my life to this particular supercell and she will one day be my wife**" way. He was originally just a storm chaser but ended up joining the Allies of Gaia program, where people partner with forces of nature to help protect the planet. Nobody had been able to tame Empress before him, and many had died trying. He was the first person who successfully rode Empress, but mostly because he straight up ran headlong right into Steve and Empress thought it was kinda cute how stupid he was. She has all the power in their relationship (she has a million ways to make him deader than dead) but she herself adores Jeremy too and so follows his commands when they're working together on Allies of Gaia stuff. She trusts him enough to let him enter her body and control her processes from a virtual cockpit inside her overshooting top (yes that little speck in the first drawing is Jeremy getting over excited).
He appears in Part 2 of Melissa and the Allies of Gaia (I have part 1 up on Wattpad) which I am currently working on writing.
Seen in the foreground with Jeremy is miniature form Empress (who just looks like a generic cartoony thundercloud), and the miniature forms of two of her tornadoes (which just look like generic cartoony tornadoes).
*-in part 2 I describe Steve as being a giant wedge, but for the life of me I can't actually draw him like that and put his arms on him without it looking really weird. So in the cartoons he looks more cone shaped so he vaguely looks like he has a torso lol.
**-I have a humanoid design I'm working on for Empress that I imagine she transforms into when they finally marry and Jeremy becomes a happy tornado dad.
Lastly, here's Empress's face without Jeremy. I moved the eye up because I prefer it to be directly under her anvil. I originally wanted it to be located there in the second drawing but Jeremy's hand ended up blocking it.
Also...went through my first tornado emergency this week. A big supercell passed over my apartment but I was too scared to take pictures.

The Importance of Dog Training: Why Every Dog Needs It

Training your dog is one of the best things you can do as a pet owner. It's more than just teaching your furry friend a few tricks; it's about creating a healthy relationship and making life easier for both of you. Whether you have a new puppy or an older dog, training is key to a happy and well-behaved pet. Here’s why dog training is so important.
1. Strengthens the Bond Between You and Your Dog
Training is not just about commands; it’s about communication. It allows you to connect with your dog and understand each other better. When you spend time training, you’re building trust and a deeper bond. Your dog learns to rely on you for guidance, and you get to know their personality and behaviors. This connection makes your relationship stronger and more rewarding.
2. Encourages Good Behavior
Dogs don’t naturally know what behavior is acceptable in a human home. Training teaches them how to act in different situations. Basic commands like "sit," "stay," and "leave it" help prevent common problems like jumping on guests, chewing on shoes, or running out the door. With consistent training, your dog learns the rules of your household, making them more enjoyable to be around.
3. Keeps Your Dog Safe
Safety is a major reason to train your dog. Commands like "come," "stop," and "leave it" can keep your dog out of harm’s way. For example, if your dog starts running toward a busy road, a strong "stop" command can prevent a dangerous situation. Training also helps you control your dog around other animals and people, reducing the risk of accidents or conflicts.
4. Boosts Social Skills
A well-trained dog is usually more social and comfortable around other dogs and people. Training often involves taking your dog to new places and introducing them to different environments. This exposure helps them learn how to behave in social settings. A dog that is used to being around people and other animals is less likely to be anxious, fearful, or aggressive. This makes outings, trips to the park, or visits to the vet much easier.
5. Provides Mental Stimulation
Training isn’t just about teaching commands; it’s also a way to keep your dog's mind active. Dogs need mental stimulation to be happy and well-behaved. When you teach them new commands or tricks, you give them something to focus on. This mental exercise helps prevent boredom, which can lead to destructive behaviors like chewing or digging. A mentally stimulated dog is often calmer and more content.
6. Builds Confidence
Training helps build your dog's confidence, especially in new or challenging situations. A dog that knows what to expect and how to act feels more secure. This is particularly important for shy or anxious dogs. When your dog trusts you to guide them, they are more likely to handle new experiences without fear. Confident dogs are happier, more relaxed, and easier to manage in different environments.
7. Leads to a Better Quality of Life
A trained dog has more opportunities to be involved in your life. You can take them to dog-friendly places, have guests over without worry, and even let them off the leash in safe areas. This freedom allows your dog to explore and enjoy new experiences. A well-trained dog is also less likely to end up in dangerous situations or cause stress for you and your family, leading to a happier life for everyone.
8. Makes Vet Visits and Grooming Easier
Trips to the vet or grooming appointments can be stressful for your dog. However, if your dog is trained to stay calm and follow commands, these experiences become much easier. Basic training can teach your dog to stay still during check-ups, making the process smoother for both you and the professionals handling your pet. This not only ensures their health is taken care of but also reduces stress for your dog.
9. Teaches You to Be a Better Pet Owner
Training isn’t just about teaching your dog; it’s also about learning how to be a better pet owner. It helps you understand your dog's needs, body language, and signals. As you work with your dog, you learn how to communicate effectively with them. This understanding improves your ability to meet their needs, resulting in a happier, healthier relationship.

Conclusion
Dog training is crucial for a happy and healthy life for both you and your pet. It strengthens your bond, promotes good behavior, ensures safety, and provides mental stimulation. A well-trained dog is easier to manage, more confident, and can be included in more aspects of your daily life.
Whether you’re working on basic commands or fun tricks, investing time in training is one of the most rewarding things you can do. The benefits of a well-trained dog go far beyond just obedience—they create a foundation for a lifelong, positive relationship.
So, if you haven’t started training your dog yet, it’s never too late. Begin today, and watch how it transforms both your life and your dog’s.

Chihuahuas are definitely not for every first timer - I wouldn't get an older dog with insecurities either (the quickest way to being a biter), no matter how sad their backstory is - untraining a dog's vices is difficult. Make sure the older Chi is not a project case unless you are prepared to hire someone to help you help them kick bad habits they were taught by previous owners.
I did get a Chihuahua puppy as my first dog, but I did a lot of research first and my grandmother had a Chi/Pom mix years ago that I personally trained basic commands.
Even then, I wasn't the perfect Chi trainer. She knows her basic commands, but she is stubborn and will ignore me if it suits her. She's also a very nervous dog, despite my attempts to socialize her in Petco and other pet friendly stores.
She's very sweet, gentle, tolerant, and quiet on a day to day basis (she sleeps a lot and likes a lot of alone time, contrary to the typical Chi) but because she is scared of the world she will also bark at "danger" before hiding behind me like "your turn". But at least I can trust her not to bite even people she is scared of. She'll run or shake that's it.
Still wouldn't leave her alone with kids - cause the kids will hurt her and you never know how a dog in pain might react - though I can't imagine her doing anything. My parents' younger dog nips her legs and steals her food and she either runs from her or is just so patient with her. My dog will play with her without using her teeth (as she was trained - open mouth only) and she lets her sleep in bed with her, often begrudgingly, but still. If my parents' dog can't get her to bite, well, she's as close to sainthood as any dog can get.
Okay so I’d strongly advise against getting a chihuahua as your first dog (unless you adopt an older dog that has already developed its personality) because you have to know what you’re doing, but my god Marie is so funny, like a little cartoon character.

She’s like a cat in that she doesn’t love you unconditionally. She will follow me to the end of the Earth but if I do something to her she doesn’t like, like give her eye drops for her eye infection, she will immediately decide that she’s my housemate’s dog now and sit with her for the rest of the evening and I can absolutely go fuck myself.
I taught her not to bite in anger at an early age but she still pretends to bite if we piss her off. She had to get an injection at the vet the other day and in her blind, wiggly panic where she couldn’t tell the vet’s hands from mine she bit my finger and I felt absolutely nothing. Somehow her training is just as strong as her instinct to bite and it cancels out in biting without chomping down. I don’t even know how that’s possible when she’s panicking.
She got sick and didn’t want to eat no matter how much I tried to coax her or what I offered her. The only thing that could get her to eat was having my other dog sit beside us and give him some of the food. Then she’d start wolfing it down while giving him an evil glare. She literally stayed alive out of spite.

If I’m lying down when she wants attention she’ll casually march up my stomach and chest and sorta fall/lean into my face with her whole body not unlike someone plopping down on a comfy chair after a long day.
And yes, if she thinks something might be dangerous she’ll get in front of me, doing her best to protect me by scaring it away with barks, unless the thing doesn’t back down at which point she’ll get behind me like “Sorry! My scare tactic didn’t work! I think you’re our best bet now!” Usually the scary thing is a cat or possibly a football someone forgot.
When people say chihuahuas are small dogs with big personalities this is the stuff they’re talking about. I’ve never met a dog breed that was so equally clingy and independent, brave and wimpy, loving yet refusing to put up with my bullshit. She’s amazing 10/10👌

Dog Training UAE: How to Choose the Right Trainer for Your Dog’s Unique Personality

If you're searching for the Dog Training UAE, chances are you're feeling a mix of hope, concern, and a deep love for your four-legged friend. Whether you're dealing with an energetic puppy that chews everything in sight, an anxious rescue that needs reassurance, or a stubborn adolescent that’s testing boundaries, finding the right support is a game-changer—not just for your dog’s behaviour, but for your relationship, too.
At Canine Campus, we understand how overwhelming it can be to choose the right professional. This guide is here to help you navigate the world of dog training in Dubai, so you can make a confident, informed decision for your beloved pet.
Why Dog Training Matters: More Than Just Sit and Stay
Dog training isn’t about domination or obedience—it’s about communication. A well-trained dog is a happy dog, and more importantly, a safe dog. Effective dog training builds mutual respect, strengthens the bond between you and your pet, and allows your dog to engage with the world more confidently.
From basic manners and leash etiquette to addressing anxiety, aggression, or excessive barking, professional dog training in Dubai can dramatically improve your dog’s quality of life—and yours.

What Makes a Dog Trainer in Dubai the “Best”?
You might be tempted to Google “Dog Trainer in Dubai” and call the first result. But finding the right trainer goes beyond listings. Here’s what sets the best apart:
1. Experience with Diverse Breeds and Behaviours
A skilled trainer doesn’t just follow a script—they adapt based on your dog’s breed, age, history, and temperament. The best dog training UAE programs are personalized, compassionate, and grounded in real-world experience.
2. Positive Reinforcement Methods
Steer clear of anyone promoting dominance-based methods or punishment. Science supports positive reinforcement as the most humane and effective way to teach dogs. At Canine Campus, our trainers use encouragement, rewards, and patience—not fear.
3. Credentials and Continued Learning
Great trainers never stop learning. Look for certifications, professional memberships, and a commitment to staying updated on the latest behaviour research and training techniques.
Exploring Dog Training Classes in Dubai: What to Expect
When searching for dog training classes Dubai, you'll find various options, including:
Puppy Socialisation Classes – Ideal for dogs under 6 months, focusing on social skills, early commands, and exposure to new environments.
Obedience Training – Teaches basic to advanced commands and helps manage behavioural issues.
Behavioural Training – Focuses on challenges like aggression, separation anxiety, or reactivity.
Private Training Sessions – Customised one-on-one support for specific goals or behavioural challenges.
Board and Train Programs – Your dog stays at a facility for immersive training, perfect for busy pet parents.
Each option offers benefits, depending on your dog’s age, personality, and needs. We recommend an initial consultation to determine the best path forward.
Red Flags to Avoid When Choosing a Dog Trainer in Dubai
Not all trainers are created equal. Here are signs to steer clear of:
Harsh or punitive methods: Using choke collars, shouting, or physical punishment can harm your dog emotionally and physically.
One-size-fits-all programs: Dogs are individuals. If the program doesn’t account for your dog’s unique needs, it’s not the right fit.
Lack of transparency: You should be able to observe a class, ask questions, and receive regular updates on your dog’s progress.
Overpromising quick fixes: Good training takes time, consistency, and effort. Be wary of anyone who claims to “fix” your dog overnight.
Canine Campus: Trusted Dog Training in Dubai
At Canine Campus, we provide compassionate, science-based training that empowers both dogs and their humans. Whether you’re raising a rambunctious pup or helping an older rescue adapt, our experienced team will meet you with understanding—not judgment.
Our philosophy is simple: training should strengthen trust, not break it. That’s why our dog training UAE approach is rooted in empathy, structure, and positive reinforcement. No matter your dog’s background or challenges, we’re here to help you build a better bond.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Dog Training Journey
To make the most of your investment, keep these tips in mind:
1. Be Consistent at Home: Training doesn’t end when the class does. Reinforce the techniques you learn in your daily routine—consistency helps your dog learn faster and more confidently.
2. Stay Patient: Progress takes time. Some dogs may respond quickly, while others need more practice. Celebrate the small wins and remember: even setbacks are part of the journey.
3. Communicate with Your Trainer: Ask questions, share observations, and be open about your challenges. The more your trainer knows, the more they can tailor their support.
4. Use the Right Tools: Your trainer will recommend suitable leashes, harnesses, treats, and toys. Having the right equipment makes training easier and more enjoyable.
5. Stay Positive: Training should be fun—for both of you! Keep sessions short, upbeat, and full of praise. When your dog enjoys learning, results follow.
Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Training in Dubai
Is my dog too old for training?
Absolutely not! While puppies are easier to shape, older dogs can still learn new behaviours and adapt to structured routines. In fact, mature dogs often benefit more quickly from training due to their longer attention spans.
How long does it take to see results?
That depends on your dog’s age, temperament, and the consistency of practice at home. Some owners notice changes after a few sessions, while others may need several weeks. Patience and consistency are key.
Can I attend sessions with my dog?
Yes! In most of our dog training classes Dubai, we encourage owners to be present. Not only does this help you learn how to reinforce behaviours, but it also strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
What if my dog is aggressive or anxious?
We specialise in helping dogs with behavioural challenges. Aggression and anxiety often stem from fear or confusion, and with the right guidance, your dog can learn healthier responses.

Miniature Poodle Dog Adoption for Seniors: A Perfect Match
At Maple Haven Kennel, we understand that choosing the right companion is an important decision for seniors. The Miniature Poodle is a wonderful option for those looking for a loving, easy-to-manage pet.
This blog explores why Miniature Poodles make the perfect match for seniors and how Maple Haven Kennel can help make this adoption experience smooth and fulfilling.
Why Choose a Miniature Poodle for Seniors?
The Miniature Poodle is a great choice for seniors due to its calm temperament, intelligence, and manageable size. Unlike larger breeds, which require more exercise and space, the Miniature Poodle is perfectly suited for a more relaxed lifestyle. These dogs are affectionate and love human companionship, making them ideal for older adults who want a loyal pet by their side.
Miniature Poodles are also highly adaptable. Whether you live in an apartment or a house with a small yard, they are content as long as they are with their owner. This adaptability makes them a fantastic choice for seniors living in various living situations. Plus, their hypoallergenic coat means fewer concerns about allergies, making them even more appealing.
Easy to Train and Manage
One of the standout features of the Miniature Poodle is its intelligence. Ranked among the most intelligent dog breeds, Miniature Poodles are easy to train, making them a great fit for seniors. Whether you’re teaching them basic commands or simply establishing a routine, Miniature Poodles catch on quickly. Their ability to learn is especially beneficial for seniors who may have limited energy or mobility.
Furthermore, these dogs are low-maintenance when it comes to exercise. While they enjoy daily walks, they don’t need intense physical activity like some high-energy breeds. This makes them manageable for seniors, who can provide short, leisurely walks without feeling overwhelmed.
Companionship and Emotional Support
Miniature Poodles are known for their affectionate and friendly nature. This breed thrives on companionship and loves being around people. For seniors, the presence of a Miniature Poodle can help combat loneliness and provide emotional support. Their gentle demeanor can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, offering comfort during challenging times.
In addition, a Miniature Poodle provides seniors with a sense of purpose. Caring for a dog helps maintain a daily routine and encourages light physical activity, such as walking. These small activities can improve both the mental and physical well-being of seniors, making a Miniature Poodle an excellent source of support.
How Maple Haven Kennel Can Help

Paws and Prepare: A No-Stress Guide for First-Time Pet Parents

You must be well prepared so your new furry family member settles in easily. This guide will discuss preparing for a new pet, from gathering supplies to building a routine to bonding with your new family member and pet-proofing your home.
1. Understand the Responsibility of Pet Parenthood

Ask yourself:
1. Can you set time aside each day for walks, play, and bonding?
2. Are you prepared in a financial sense for vet visits, food, grooming, and emergencies?
3. Will your home and lifestyle suit a pet’s needs?
The first step in being a caring and responsible pet parent is to be emotionally and practically prepared.

1. Activity level: Active dogs need more exercise and stimulation, while some cats and senior pets may appreciate a relaxed environment.
2. Space: Those who live in apartments may lean toward smaller breeds or animals with lower energy levels.
3. Allergies: Think about hypoallergenic breeds, or talk to your vet.
4. Family Setup: Some pets thrive in tranquil settings, while others relish the hubbub of kids and other creatures.
5. Aligning the pet’s needs with your lifestyle keeps the bond strong from day one.

Like baby-proofing, pet-proofing is important. Here’s what you can do:
Put up safety gates in hazardous areas like the kitchen, bathroom, or balcony.
Out of reach, hide electrical cords; remove sharp or small objects that pets can swallow.
Keep toxic items such as cleaning supplies, medications, and certain plants (lilies, aloe vera, for example) out of reach.
With gates or playpens, you can control access during the early days.
Just think how your pet might view the area — a curious nose and playful paws can get into just about anything!
4. Stock Up on Pet Essentials

For Dogs:
Collar, leash, and ID tag
Food and water bowls
High-quality, age and activity-appropriate dog food
Dog treats
Comfortable bed
Toys (chew toys, chew toys, puzzle toys)
Waste bags or poop scooper
Grooming supplies
Toilet training pads
For Cats:
Litter box and litter
Scratching post
Cat food and treats
Toy (feather, ball, laser pointer)
Beds or a cozy blanket
Food and water bowls
Carrier for vet visits
And be sure to ask your vet about age-appropriate supplements that can help support your pet’s health, particularly while adjusting.
5. Schedule a Vet Visit

Do a wellness check
Establish a vaccination and deworming plan
Discuss flea/tick prevention
Inquire about nutrition, supplements, and preventive care
Your vet can also assist in formulating a tailored health plan.
Protip: Bring all existing medical records or adoption papers!
6. Establish a Routine Early

Start simple:
Cats Learn Hungry Routine: Feed your pet at the same time every day.
Schedule potty breaks or litter box checks
Schedule walks (dogs) or playtime (cats) to expend energy
Not only will this routine help them get comfortable more quickly, but it’ll also establish trust between you and your new friend.

Building good behavior habits starts early, but it’s never too late to begin. Whether you’re bringing home a young puppy or an older rescue, introducing basic commands, house training, or litter manners from the start helps your pet adjust smoothly and develop into a well-mannered companion.
Tips:
Encourage good behaviour through positive reinforcement (treats, praise).
Be patient — adapting to a new setting requires time
Avoid shouting or hitting — your pet will be fearful and may develop behavioural issues
Gradually expose your pet to sounds, people, and other animals to build confidence and socialization skills
As a rule of thumb, building good habits early will make life easier for you and your fur baby!
8. Create a Comforting Environment
Your new pet might be frightened, which can be especially prevalent in the first few nights. Here’s how to help:
Create a quiet, comfy space in your home that is just as much theirs as yours
Implement calming aids such as soft blankets, pheromone sprays, or calming music
Allow them to explore, but be ready to caution them gently, if needed
For shy or anxious pets, calming supplements (like Venttura Immuno+ for dogs and cats) may help ease the transition
Allow them to come to you on their terms — trust takes time, but forms quickly in a place of love.

The key to a strong bond? Time. And just sit with your pet, talk to them, give them treats, and play with them. And daily joys and interactions do the rest.
Cats knead or head-butt to express love; dogs wag their tails or lean on you.
Learn your pet’s language — it’s the start of a lovely relationship.

a) Local vets and trainers
b) Online pet parent communities
c) Pet sitters and dog walkers
d) Trusted friends or family
You want a support system you can lean on to make it easier to navigate emergencies or just share adorable pet pics (which we mean, at this point, is daily!)
Conclusion
Welcoming a new pet is a time of excitement, growth, and a few chewed-up slippers. But the love you get back? Totally worth it.
With some careful planning, the right mindset, and resources, you will be well on your way to providing a happy, healthy life for your new family member.
Keep in mind: Pets are for life. It’s not about being an ideal pet parent — it’s about being a warm, loving, and caring one.

Mastering Dog Behavior: The Modern Approach to Training
Understanding Your Dog’s Behavior
Training a dog goes beyond teaching basic commands—it’s about building a foundation of mutual respect and understanding. Every dog has its own personality, energy level, and learning style. Owners must first observe and understand their dog’s behavior to effectively guide them. Whether you’re dealing with a new puppy or an older dog, behavioral patterns often stem from unmet needs, anxiety, or lack of structure. Recognizing these cues is the first step to addressing problem areas and creating a successful training plan. Training should never be rushed; patience and consistency are key. This initial understanding sets the tone for long-term success and a happier, well-behaved pet.
The Power of Consistent Training
Consistency is the cornerstone of effective dog training. Dogs thrive on routine and clear communication. A regular schedule of practice sessions, consistent commands, and timely rewards help reinforce positive behavior. It’s essential to maintain uniformity in rules across all members of the household so the dog doesn’t receive mixed messages. Positive reinforcement—like treats, praise, or play—encourages repeat behavior and strengthens your bond. This is particularly important when dealing with challenges like barking, chewing, or jumping. Introducing techniques from an Online dog training expert can streamline the process, offering professional guidance at your convenience. With commitment and regular practice, even the most stubborn behaviors can be redirected positively.
Addressing Common Behavioral Issues
Some of the most common behavioral issues in dogs include aggression, separation anxiety, and leash pulling. While these behaviors can be frustrating, they are often symptoms of a deeper issue—such as lack of exercise, mental stimulation, or unclear boundaries. One of the most frequent struggles owners face is leash pulling, especially with high-energy breeds. Incorporating Online Dog Leash Pulling Training into your routine can provide step-by-step guidance tailored to your dog’s unique needs. Identifying triggers and consistently applying correction techniques can drastically reduce these behaviors. It's also helpful to combine training with physical and mental stimulation, ensuring your dog remains well-balanced and calm.
The Benefits of Online Dog Training
Online training programs have revolutionized how dog owners approach behavioral challenges. Unlike traditional classes, these programs allow flexibility and personalized pacing. Owners can revisit lessons, practice at home, and reduce distractions that may come from unfamiliar environments. Many online platforms offer video tutorials, live Q&A sessions, and direct access to professional trainers. This approach is not only convenient but often more effective for dogs that may not do well in group settings. Online training can cover everything from basic obedience to complex behavior modification, giving pet parents tools to handle any situation. It empowers owners to take a more active and confident role in their dog’s development.
Choosing the Right Training Support
When looking for trustworthy resources, it's important to choose a platform with a strong track record of results and positive feedback from dog owners. The right support can make a huge difference in your training journey, helping you stay motivated and informed. 🐶 Why Consider Dog Training Classes?
Dog training classes offer structured learning environments designed to help dogs develop good manners and obedience. Whether you have a new puppy, a rescue dog, or a stubborn older pup, these classes provide guidance from professional trainers who understand canine behavior.

Group classes expose your dog to other dogs and people, helping them become well-behaved in social settings. This is especially beneficial for puppies who need early socialization.
✅ Structured Learning
A well-organized training class follows a step-by-step approach to teaching commands, making it easier for both you and your dog to follow along.
✅ Correcting Behavioral Issues
Jumping, barking, leash pulling, or aggression—training classes address these issues with expert techniques tailored to your dog's needs.
✅ Strengthening the Bond
Training isn't just about discipline; it’s also about communication. Attending classes helps you and your dog build a strong relationship based on trust and understanding.
🏠 Can You Train Your Dog at Home Instead?
Yes, you can train your dog at home! Many pet owners successfully teach their dogs basic commands like sit, stay, and come using online tutorials, books, and patience. However, without professional guidance, you might face challenges such as:
❌ Inconsistency in training techniques ❌ Difficulty correcting unwanted behaviors ❌ Limited socialization opportunities for your dog
If you have the time, dedication, and knowledge, at-home training can be effective. But if you're struggling, professional classes might be the best investment.
🏫 Types of Dog Training Classes
Not all dog training classes are the same. Here are some common types to choose from:
🔹 Basic Obedience Classes – Focus on essential commands like sit, stay, heel, and come. 🔹 Puppy Training Classes – Teach young pups socialization and basic commands while addressing potty training and biting issues. 🔹 Behavioral Training – Helps correct bad habits such as excessive barking, leash pulling, or jumping on guests. 🔹 Advanced Training & Agility – Great for dogs who have mastered basic commands and need more challenges. 🔹 Service & Therapy Dog Training – For dogs trained to assist with disabilities or provide emotional support.
💰 How Much Do Dog Training Classes Cost?
The cost of dog training classes varies based on location, trainer experience, and the type of training. On average:
Group Classes: $30 – $100 per session
Private Training: $50 – $150 per session
Board-and-Train Programs: $500 – $2,000+ for intensive training
While it may seem pricey, investing in proper training can prevent costly damages (chewed furniture, destroyed shoes) and behavioral problems in the long run.
🎯 Are Dog Training Classes Right for You?
If you're unsure whether to enroll your dog in training classes, ask yourself:
✔️ Is my dog showing behavioral issues I can't control? ✔️ Do I struggle to get my dog to obey commands? ✔️ Would I feel more confident with expert guidance? ✔️ Does my dog need socialization with other pets?
If you answered yes to any of these, dog training classes are likely a good investment.
🏆 Final Verdict: Are They Worth It?
Yes! While at-home training is possible, professional dog training classes provide structured lessons, socialization opportunities, and expert advice that can make training faster and more effective. They help your dog become a well-mannered companion and strengthen your bond along the way.
🐾 Ready to Train Your Dog?
If you’re thinking about signing up for a class, research trainers in your area, read reviews, and find a program that fits your dog's needs. A well-trained dog is a happy dog!
