in a basil-less world, both of their lives would have had a slightly different trajectory. they wouldve been closer friends, maybe even have started a podcast together. lol

chip doesnt like taggart's deeply unserious aura, but they get along quite well when they actually have a conversation. unfortunately that happens less and less as time goes on. by the time chip's tagging with samson, he thinks hes too good to bother with talking to someone like taggart. and it doesnt help that samson doesnt particularly respect taggart either.

but yeah, as I said earlier they could've been better friends if basil wasn't around complicating things for the both of them. chip's jealousy and obsession towards basil is prime to ruin everything taggart has carefully worked for! oh no!
